We pulled Dot & Key's own product feed on 6 September 2026 and read all 151 in-stock listings. Not one of them is discounted. No struck-through price, no percentage badge, nothing — every product is sold at its list price, which is the exact opposite of the flat 15 per cent we found on Plum's shelf the same morning. With no discount to compare, what a rupee buys is the only variable, and the sunscreen shelf makes that vivid: Rs. 595 buys either a 20 g sunscreen stick at Rs. 29.75 per gram or a 110 ml body spray at Rs. 5.41 per ml — the same price for five and a half times as much product, at the same stated SPF 50+ PA++++. Elsewhere the serums cluster within two paise of Rs. 19.96 per ml, two moisturisers share one Rs. 399 price with 20 g between them, and face wash is the cheapest thing here at Rs. 2.49 per ml. Twenty-three products seated.

Plum takes a flat 15 per cent off everything. Minimalist takes 10. Dot & Key discounts nothing at all — 151 listings, not one badge — and mCaffeine discounts nothing on 174 of 193. Four brands, four policies, badges spanning zero to fifty-five per cent. We read all four feeds on 6 September 2026 and priced the same products across them. SPF 50 sunscreen costs Rs. 7.20 to Rs. 8.90 per unit; a 10 per cent niacinamide serum Rs. 18.00 to Rs. 19.97 per ml; a 100 ml face wash Rs. 2.42 to Rs. 2.70. The ordering barely tracks the badges: Minimalist at 10 per cent off beats Plum at 15 on both sunscreen and serum, and on face wash the undiscounted Dot & Key undercuts Minimalist outright. Compare per millilitre, not per badge.

Vijay Sales runs a card-less loyalty programme called MYVS Rewards, and its own published terms set the rate at 0.75% of the final purchase amount, paid as points worth Rs. 1 each. The rule that decides whether it is worth anything to you is the redemption one: points can be spent only at a Vijay Sales outlet, and the terms say plainly that they cannot be redeemed online at vijaysales.com. Add a roughly fortnight-long wait before new points become usable, a two-year expiry, and a clawback that comes out of your refund if you return a product whose points you have already spent.

Vijay Sales gives free delivery on everything it sells online — but only to Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Pune, Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, by city limits and pin code. The rule that catches people out is the return one: there is no published days-long window. The terms ask you to check the product and accessories before accepting delivery and state that after acceptance, returns and refund requests will not be entertained. Refunds, where due, run 10–15 working days. And split AC installation is charged separately, paid to the manufacturer's service centre, at least four business days after delivery.

The physical Gift Card is valid 12 months, works in stores and carries its unspent balance forward; the E-Gift Card is valid 30 days, works online, is one time redeemable, and its unspent balance “will not be adjusted in any transaction”. We read 117 winter-layer listings from AJIO's own search on 5 September 2026 — sweatshirts, hoodies and jackets. The shelf runs Rs. 125 to Rs. 5,850 at a median of Rs. 719, with 75 listings under Rs. 1,000 and 33 under Rs. 500. The useful number is the split by garment, because the three cost very different money: sweatshirts median Rs. 435, hoodies Rs. 706, jackets Rs. 1,080. And badge depth tracks the label rather than the garment — Hoodler is badged 89% off and EYEBOGLER 85%, while the brands you can price-check elsewhere sit far shallower: Decathlon 19%, PERFORMAX 10%, GAP 25%, Calvin Klein Jeans 35%.

We read 80 loungewear and nightwear listings from Myntra's own listing data on 5 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 369 to Rs. 2,899 at a median of Rs. 687, with 64 listings under Rs. 1,000 and 22 under Rs. 500. The finding worth the visit: all 15 Jockey listings are priced at exactly their MRP — a 0% badge on every one — while the other 65 listings run a median 60% off. Jockey is also among the best-reviewed stock here, rated 4.3 to 4.8 on 1,591 ratings, and the 80%-plus badges mostly sit on listings with thin rating counts or none at all.

We read 80 sneaker listings from Tata CLiQ's own search on 5 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 679 to Rs. 6,489 at a median of Rs. 2,584, with 56 pairs under Rs. 3,000 and 28 under Rs. 2,000 — mid-price rather than bargain. Two things are worth knowing before you buy. The badge depth tracks the brand, not the deal: Converse sits at a median 15% off and Skechers at 20%, while Puma runs at 62%, Duke at 70% and one Bond Street pair at 83% off a stated Rs. 6,599. And 46 of the 80 listings carry no rating at all — the published review volume is concentrated in Puma and adidas.

We read 147 men's formalwear listings from AJIO's own search on 5 September 2026 — 70 formal trousers and 77 blazers. They are two different shelves. Trousers run Rs. 225 to Rs. 2,467 at a median of Rs. 1,025, with 32 under Rs. 1,000. Blazers start at Rs. 1,000 and median Rs. 2,949, with 26 above Rs. 3,500. Two things are worth knowing. The badges are set per brand in round steps — 21 listings at exactly 60% off, 17 at exactly 55%, mostly ARROW, which is 39 of the 147 listings. And not one listing carries a star rating or review count, so the rupee price is nearly the only checkable number here.

We read 64 women's heels and flats listings from Myntra's own listing pages on 5 September 2026 — kitten heels, block pumps, mules, wedges and flats. The shelf runs Rs. 302 to Rs. 1,499 at a median of Rs. 672, with 56 pairs under Rs. 1,000 and 13 under Rs. 500, at a median badge of 68% off. Two things are worth knowing before you buy. Forty-two of the 64 listings are measured against just four stated MRPs — the Rs. 2,499 group alone sells between Rs. 368 and Rs. 1,399 — so the badge mostly tracks the price. And 16 pairs carry no rating at all, while the biggest counts are pooled across a brand's listings.

We read 78 luggage listings from Amazon.in's own search on 5 September 2026 — cabin trolleys, check-in bags and sets. The shelf runs Rs. 999 to Rs. 6,799 at a median of Rs. 2,399, with 27 listings under Rs. 2,000 and 60 under Rs. 3,000, at a median badge of 77% off. Two things are worth knowing before you buy. Safari and Aristocrat are 57 of the 78 listings and set that badge depth, while the labels you can price-check elsewhere sit at half of it — uppercase 40%, MOKOBARA 54%, American Tourister 59%. And the big review counts are pooled across variants: six different Safari Pentagon Pro listings each show the same 22,323 ratings.

We read both monitor shelves on 5 September 2026 — 44 listings from Amazon's own search results and 42 from Croma's own listing pages. Croma badges deeper (45% median against 33%) and costs more (median Rs. 13,800 against Rs. 10,875), partly because it stocks ten monitors above Rs. 25,000 to Amazon's two. Three models appeared on both shelves and settle it: the BenQ GW2790 is Rs. 10,850 at both, the Lenovo L27-4C is Rs. 761 cheaper on Amazon off an identical stated MRP, and the Samsung Odyssey G8 is Rs. 9,200 cheaper. The wider gap is evidence: 43 of 44 Amazon listings carry a rating, against 12 of 42 at Croma.

We read both places a Lenovo laptop is sold on 5 September 2026 — the 10 deals cards on Lenovo's own India store and 40 Lenovo laptop listings on Amazon. Lenovo's store advertises the deeper cuts (median 31% off against Amazon's 23%, topping out at 51%), but the machines cost about the same: a ThinkPad E14 with a Ryzen 7 is Rs. 97,991 there and Rs. 98,990 on Amazon, Rs. 999 apart, with badges of 48% and 41% only because the stated MRPs differ by Rs. 23,109. The real gap is range: Lenovo's deals page had no laptop under Rs. 81,991, while Amazon listed nine under Rs. 60,000, from Rs. 51,990.
