MakeMyTrip's own user agreement contains one sentence that explains most flight-booking frustration: MMT “merely acts as a facilitator”, and the contract for the flight is always between you and the airline. The airline therefore sets your baggage allowance, your fare restrictions and your cancellation terms, and can reschedule or cancel without telling MMT first. Two consequences are worth knowing before you book: some fares in the booking flow are hand baggage fares with no free check-in luggage, and refunds are processed per the airline's policy andsubject to MMT actually receiving the money from the airline.
We read all 94 offer cards on MakeMyTrip's offers page on 28 August 2026. Eight of them are airline-run sales touching international flying - and only AirAsia's three print a rupee fare: Japan from Rs. 22,990, Thailand from Rs. 12,850 and Malaysia from Rs. 9,429, all asterisked lead-in prices. The other five sell a ceiling or a perk with no base fare at all: Etihad up to 20 per cent and, on a second card carrying the same 3 September expiry, up to 10 per cent; IndiGo flat 8 per cent on business class; Air Astana a free bag; FLY91 Rs. 500 cashback. Four of the seven airlines' cards, and the house card offering up to 30 per cent on international flights, expire on 31 August or 3 September 2026. The offers that outlast this week are the unglamorous ones - flat 8 per cent worldwide to 30 December, VISASIGNATURE to 31 March 2027.
MakeMyTrip's Escape & Recharge Long Weekend Sale is live until 5 September 2026 - up to 40% off flights, hotels, packages, cabs, buses and trains, timed for the Ganesh Chaturthi break. We read all 104 offers on the wall on 26 August and sorted them by expiry: the ITC and LaLiT hotel deals die 28 August, Oyo's 60% and the Taj, Ginger and Sarovar rows close with the month, AirAsia is flooring Malaysia at Rs. 9,429, and a 19-card bank wall stacks on top at payment. Here is the whole board, and what to book first.
Agoda's biggest sale of the year is live until 31 August 2026: a claim-to-activate coupon wall headlined at up to 60% off hotels, twelve airlines at up to 30% off for bookings made 17-31 August, and featured stays we verified at 30-75% off per night - an Osaka business hotel at Rs. 4,006 leads the board. We read the full Mega Sale page on 26 August and lay out the real numbers, the claim mechanic, the booking-window fine print, and where the India-origin value actually sits.
Flipkart Flights is running a windowed flash sale: flat 15% off on flight bookings paid with HDFC Bank credit cards, live only from 2-3 PM, 8-9 PM and 10 PM-12 AM each day, with limited inventory per slot. We verified the banner on the live booking page on August 26, 2026, and unpacked what the asterisk means using the previous edition's published terms — the instant-plus-bank discount split, the Rs. 5,000 minimum booking, the once-per-card rule and the caps near Rs. 9,750 domestic and Rs. 11,750 international. Plus the four other flight offers live on the same page for everyone without an HDFC card.
We rendered MakeMyTrip's own offers page on 20 August 2026 and read 78 live offer rows from it, fifteen of which print a coupon code on the tile itself. Ten of those fifteen are bus codes, and four of the ten are tied to a region - MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTWEST and MMTEAST - so the route you are booking decides which is available. Three bus codes state a flat figure: FLIX15 for 15 per cent off FlixBus, PRIMODAY for 10 per cent off Primo Bus and RTCNEW for 10 per cent off state transport buses, all running to 31 December. FIRSTHOMESTAY takes a flat 20 per cent off a first homestay booking and expires on 4 September, the largest quantified code on the page. Seven of the fifteen tiles name a code without naming a discount at all, which we have reported as stated rather than filling in. Flights carry effectively no coupon codes; the flight savings here are card offers and airline sales applied at the payment step.
When is the best time to book a Dubai trip from Delhi? The Zoutons fare tracker reads the MakeMyTrip group's Delhi-Dubai fare calendar daily, and right now the answer is precise: fly Sunday, September 27 at Rs. 13,898 - the lowest fare on the entire 365-day calendar, 41% under this week's Rs. 23,748 walk-up price. Then the stack kicks in: MakeMyTrip's own India Travel Sale code - tap to reveal in the guide (up to Rs. 5,000 off international flights, Rs. 969 verified at checkout on Aug 11), brings the trip to about Rs. 12,929 - a 46% saving on what flying this week costs. This guide works out the full savings stack to the rupee: the fare windows, the one-code-per-order rule, the RuPay-UPI payment layer, hotel and package codes for the rest of the trip, and a month-by-month map of when Dubai is cheap from Delhi.
Agoda's app-only 10% off first hotel booking is one of the few genuinely honest OTA discounts left in 2026 — capped at $50 (~₹4,150), no minimum stay, no code needed. Planning a summer trip and stuck choosing between IndiGo and Air India? You're not alone. Both airlines have raised fares by up to 20% in 2026 — and the cheapest-looking ticket isn't always the cheapest after checkout. IndiGo's base fares run 15–30% lower, but once you add a checked bag, a meal, and seat selection, Air India's all-inclusive pricing can match or beat the total cost. In this comparison, we break down fares on popular summer routes like Delhi–Goa and Delhi–Mumbai, decode the hidden charges, and tell you exactly which airline to book based on your travel style — so you stop second-guessing and start saving.
