But where the stated MRP matches exactly, Myntra wins — El Paso flats off the same Rs. 2,899 cost Rs. 492 on Myntra and Rs. 696 on AJIO. Bata carries a Rs. 749 MRP on one site and Rs. 999 on the other. A price read, not a review.

We read its jutti and mojari shelf on 8 October: 43 ethnic footwear listings, 24 seated, priced Rs. 360 to Rs. 2,856 with a median of Rs. 699. Not one of the 43 publishes a rating, leaving the badge as the only comparative number - and the badge runs backwards. Every listing badged 80% or more costs Rs. 1,573 or less; every one badged 55% or less costs Rs. 735 or more. One brand is 15 of the 43 listings on five stated MRPs, seven of them sharing a Rs. 2,720 at three prices. And one jutti appears twice under the same name and the same Rs. 8,280 MRP, at Rs. 1,325 and Rs. 1,573.
We read both boot shelves on 23 September 2026 — 65 listings on Myntra, 89 on AJIO. Six brands sell on both, and aadi declares the identical Rs. 1,999 MRP in each place while selling at Rs. 648 on Myntra and Rs. 420 on AJIO. The medians are almost the same (Rs. 1,083 against Rs. 1,049) but the ceilings are not: Myntra's shelf stops at Rs. 1,999 and AJIO runs to Rs. 4,249. The catch is evidence — AJIO publishes no rating on any of its 89 listings, where Myntra publishes on 44 of 65 and that same aadi boot carries 16,942 ratings. Full price lists from both below.

The product name 'The Roadster Lifestyle Co Men Round Toe Slip-On Chelsea Boots' appears at Rs. 717, Rs. 724, Rs. 1,083, Rs. 1,351 and Rs. 1,399, against two different declared MRPs. Four El Paso listings at exactly Rs. 1,229 all display the same pool of 4,094 ratings, and two Roadster women's boots Rs. 45 apart share 3,487. The most-rated boot in the read - 16,942 ratings - is the fourth-cheapest at Rs. 648, while the dearest listing at Rs. 1,999 has been rated six times.
We read 64 women's heels and flats listings from Myntra's own listing pages on 5 September 2026 — kitten heels, block pumps, mules, wedges and flats. The shelf runs Rs. 302 to Rs. 1,499 at a median of Rs. 672, with 56 pairs under Rs. 1,000 and 13 under Rs. 500, at a median badge of 68% off. Two things are worth knowing before you buy. Forty-two of the 64 listings are measured against just four stated MRPs — the Rs. 2,499 group alone sells between Rs. 368 and Rs. 1,399 — so the badge mostly tracks the price. And 16 pairs carry no rating at all, while the biggest counts are pooled across a brand's listings.
We read Myntra's own listing data on August 17, 2026 across five footwear paths - men's sandals and floaters, men's flip-flops, women's flats, women's sandals and women's flip-flops - and got 160 listings carrying a price and a higher stated MRP. One hundred and thirty-four sit under Rs. 1,000 and 102 of those carry a rating. Twenty-three are seated here, Rs. 296 to Rs. 991. The finding is the gap between the two columns: the checkout prices span 3.3 times bottom to top, while the stated MRPs behind them span 12.5 times, Rs. 399 to Rs. 4,999. Seven seated pairs claim an MRP of Rs. 2,495 or more and all seven check out under Rs. 880; two claim no discount at all and sit mid-ladder at Rs. 399 and Rs. 599; one stated MRP of Rs. 999 recurs five times and produces badges of 70, 68, 56, 41 and 27 per cent. What does separate the shelf is evidence: rating counts run from 19 to 23,205.
