We read Vijay Sales' own payment and refund terms on 7 September 2026. The published list of ways to pay is credit cards, debit cards and net banking — UPI appears nowhere in the document, though a terms page is not a live checkout. Cards must be Indian: orders on a card with an international billing address may be cancelled. Cash on delivery is capped at Rs. 50,000 and runs only in Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat and Delhi, collected between 11am and 6pm at your billing address. Three clauses decide what happens when things go wrong: a mispriced order can be cancelled rather than honoured, refunds are stated at 7 to 20 working days, and risk of loss passes to you when the goods reach the carrier — not your door.

Myntra's loyalty programme used to hand you a coin you could bank. It now hands you a discount you have to show up for. Myntra has discontinued SuperCoin issuance and replaced it with Insider Day — an Insiders-only sale on the 28th of every month worth 5% (Select), 10% (Elite) or 15% (Icon), capped at Rs. 500. That cap does something the tier ladder does not advertise: by our arithmetic on Myntra's own figures, it binds at Rs. 3,334 for Icon and Rs. 10,000 for Select, so above a Rs. 10,000 order every tier is worth exactly the same Rs. 500. Joining is free, but you need Rs. 4,000 spent net of returns and two orders in 12 months.

We read 97 sports shoe, running shoe and sneaker listings from Myntra's own pages on 7 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 659 to Rs. 3,749 at a median Rs. 1,035, with 45 listings under Rs. 1,000. The number that matters is the one beside it: a median stated MRP of Rs. 3,999, 3.9 times the median price, with 53 of the 97 listings at 70% off or deeper. On this shelf a 70% badge is the baseline rather than a find. HRX is 35 of the 97 and — unlike on Myntra's track pants — genuinely the cheap end at Rs. 933. And five Puma listings sit at an identical Rs. 1,349, three sharing one pool of 104,669 ratings while a fourth with the same name shows its own 4,040.

The tightest deadline on an AbhiBus booking is not the departure time. Once you select your seats you have 10 minutes to complete payment — after that AbhiBus annuls the order and releases the seats to other users. At the other end you must be at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure with a government photo ID, which the FAQ calls mandatory; a bus missed because you were late or waiting at the wrong point is explicitly not refundable. And much of what governs your trip — luggage allowance, refund terms, even why two seats on the same bus cost different amounts — is set by the bus partner, not by AbhiBus.

MakeMyTrip's own user agreement contains one sentence that explains most flight-booking frustration: MMT “merely acts as a facilitator”, and the contract for the flight is always between you and the airline. The airline therefore sets your baggage allowance, your fare restrictions and your cancellation terms, and can reschedule or cancel without telling MMT first. Two consequences are worth knowing before you book: some fares in the booking flow are hand baggage fares with no free check-in luggage, and refunds are processed per the airline's policy and subject to MMT actually receiving the money from the airline.

We read 91 makeup listings on Nykaa on 7 September 2026 — lipstick, foundation, kajal, compact, mascara and concealer. The median price is Rs. 314 against a median MRP of Rs. 399, a median discount of just 15%, and the deepest badge anywhere in the 91 is 40% — nothing here is half off. Read the same day, Myntra's shoe shelf ran a median 70% off on MRPs 3.9x the price and AJIO's ethnic shelf 75%. The small badge is the honest one. Every one of the 91 listings carries a rating, several over four million, and the Rs. 66 lip liner at the floor has 310,999. Nykaa's own label discounts hardest and still costs more than the brands beside it.

We read 116 track pant, tracksuit and sportswear listings from Myntra's own pages on 6 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 299 to Rs. 2,789 at a median 60% off, and 67 of the 116 are under Rs. 700. The arithmetic worth knowing: a tracksuit at the median is Rs. 1,244, while a median men's track pant plus a median sports tee is Rs. 910 — 37% less for two garments, though those are different listings rather than one set priced two ways. HRX is 31 of the 116 and, compared within a category, carries almost no price premium at all — it is actually cheaper than the rest on tracksuits. What it has is ratings, on 29 of its 31 listings against 53 of the other 85. And the single listing here with no discount, a Rs. 999 Jockey trackpant, is the best rated garment in the read.

Philips is 15 of the 33 air fryer listings we kept from Amazon's search results on 6 September 2026 — and it is not on the shelf at one price. The 4.2-litre 2000 Series appears three separate times at Rs. 7,175, Rs. 7,390 and Rs. 7,930, each with its own badge and its own rating pool, with a fourth 4.2 L Philips at Rs. 8,199 — while a different Philips 4.2 L sits at Rs. 4,706 with 5,904 ratings. Two Philips 6.2-litre listings are priced at Rs. 34,763 and Rs. 40,464 against a same-capacity Philips at Rs. 6,495. The shelf runs Rs. 2,126 to Rs. 40,464 at a median 40% off, per-litre costs run Rs. 644 to Rs. 1,811, and five listings claiming 99% off had MRPs stated at 100 times their selling price and were excluded from every figure here.

We read 85 men's shirt listings from Tata CLiQ's own search on 6 September 2026. Prices run Rs. 549 to Rs. 3,199 at a median Rs. 1,299, with 60 under Rs. 1,500 and 18 under Rs. 1,000 — on a shelf of recognisable labels (Levi's, Arrow, U.S. Polo Assn., Louis Philippe, American Eagle, WROGN). Two things are worth knowing before you sort it. First, the ratings are thin: only 49 of the 85 listings carry one, the median rating count behind those is four, and the best-evidenced shirt on the shelf has 187. Second, the badge runs backwards to price — American Eagle, the dearest brand at a median Rs. 2,112, shows the smallest discount at 20%, while Thomas Scott at a median Rs. 749 shows 76% against stated MRPs up to Rs. 4,299.

We read 192 women's tops and dresses from AJIO's own search on 6 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 100 to Rs. 1,549 at a median of Rs. 420, and 150 of the 192 are under Rs. 600 — tops at a median Rs. 349, dresses at Rs. 459. The median badge is 73%, and it measures the brand rather than the bargain: XQsee's 15 listings are a median Rs. 248 at 89% off against stated MRPs of Rs. 2,147–2,364, while FIG's 14 are dearer at Rs. 382 and only 49% off against MRPs of Rs. 399–799. Thirty-one listings share one stated MRP of exactly Rs. 999. And AJIO returns no rating or rating count for any of the 192, so on this shelf the price and the description are all you have.

We read both platforms' dress listings within the same hour on 6 September 2026: 68 from Myntra, 80 from Nykaa Fashion. Myntra's median dress is Rs. 757, Nykaa Fashion's is Rs. 1,625; 58 of Myntra's 68 are under Rs. 1,000, against 3 of Nykaa Fashion's 80, and 17 Nykaa Fashion dresses cost more than any dress on the Myntra pages we read. But this is not one dress priced twice: of 45 brands on one shelf and 26 on the other, only Globus appears on both, and not with the same garment. The sharper difference is evidence — Myntra showed a rating on 51 of 68 listings, with a median of 690 ratings behind each, while Nykaa Fashion showed none on any of its 80.

We read Hostinger's India WordPress hosting page and its web hosting page one after the other on 6 September 2026, and they sell the same thing: Single at Rs. 69 a month, Premium at Rs. 149, Unlimited at Rs. 249 and Cloud Startup at Rs. 599, on 48-month terms, with identical totals, renewal rates, storage, site allowances, backups and guarantees. The only published difference is a line naming AI Builder credits on the web hosting page. The number that decides the real cost sits below the badge: Single is Rs. 3,312 for the first 48 months and renews at Rs. 289 a month — Rs. 13,872 for the next four years, a 319% step. Premium goes Rs. 149 to Rs. 449, Unlimited Rs. 249 to Rs. 649, Cloud Startup Rs. 599 to Rs. 1,599.

We pulled Plum Goodness' own product feed on 6 September 2026 - 390 in-stock listings, 267 of them discounted. The finding is that the discount tells you nothing: every in-stock face-care listing in this read is at exactly 15 per cent off, from a Rs. 217 toner to a Rs. 1,339 serum. With the percentage constant, the only comparison left is cost per millilitre, and that is where the shelf gets interesting. Four ThinkDerma serums with four completely different actives - niacinamide, salicylic acid, alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid - are all priced at the identical Rs. 509 for 30 ml. The Bright Years line costs Rs. 44.63 per ml against ThinkDerma's Rs. 16.97. And the size ladders are unadvertised: the 50 ml niacinamide serum is 27 per cent cheaper per millilitre than the 15 ml bottle of the same formula, at the same 15 per cent badge. Twenty-one products seated, Rs. 217 to Rs. 1,339.

Plum Goodness prices in three tiers: singles at 15 per cent off MRP, face-care combos at 19 per cent, BodyLovin' body-care combos at 23. The combo always wears the bigger badge — but both figures are measured against MRP, and the single you would otherwise buy is already 15 per cent off. We read Plum's own feed on 6 September 2026 and priced every combo we could match against the sum of its own singles. Fourteen Pack of 2 listings all returned a real saving of 4.7 or 4.8 per cent. BodyLovin' combos returned about 9.4 per cent. And the badge itself is noise: listings showing 9, 12 and 19 per cent off all saved the same 4.7 to 4.8 per cent. Named routine duos measured 4.8 per cent too.

Plum's face-care shelf is a flat 15 per cent off on everything in stock. Its BodyLovin' body-care shelf is not. We read Plum's own feed on 6 September 2026 and found body lotions in a separate 20 per cent tier, the solid perfume sticks at 35 per cent — the deepest standing discount on any single product — and one eau de parfum at no discount at all, listed at its stated MRP. Per millilitre the shelf spans 34-fold, and the ends invert what the sticker price implies: a 400 ml body lotion is the cheapest thing here at Rs. 0.99 per ml, a 10 g lip balm is the dearest at Rs. 33.90 per gram, and the Rs. 1,019 eau de parfum — the highest price on the page — is the cheapest perfume per millilitre at Rs. 20.38. Twenty-one products seated.
