The tightest deadline on an AbhiBus booking is not the departure time. Once you select your seats you have 10 minutes to complete payment — after that AbhiBus annuls the order and releases the seats to other users. At the other end you must be at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure with a government photo ID, which the FAQ calls mandatory; a bus missed because you were late or waiting at the wrong point is explicitly not refundable. And much of what governs your trip — luggage allowance, refund terms, even why two seats on the same bus cost different amounts — is set by the bus partner, not by AbhiBus.

Re-read on 4 September 2026: AbhiBus carries fourteen coupon codes tied to a named private bus operator. Two expire on 10 September — BABU10 and RAJHANS150 — and seven of the fourteen are restricted to new users, including every one of the large flat-rupee codes and all four 30 per cent codes. Of the five codes that carried a 31 August expiry when this page first ran, four were extended (VRL10 as far as 15 February 2027) and one, SHYAMOLI200, was withdrawn. The number that decides value is the cap, not the headline: RAJHANS150's 30 per cent stops growing at a Rs. 500 fare and is a flat Rs. 150 above it, while NUEGOAB's 10 per cent keeps growing to a Rs. 2,000 fare. FLIX15 is the only code whose published terms state no cap at all. Existing customers are limited to VRL10, BABU10, PTC100 and UTC300.

Searching for AbhiBus cancellation charges returns no number, because AbhiBus does not publish one: its FAQ says cancellation terms vary from bus partner to bus partner, and the deduction for your specific bus is shown on the selection screen before you pay. What the site does set is everything around that. The cut-off is when the bus starts from its first boarding point, not yours. Four refund regimes can apply to a single ticket, and three are chosen before payment: the partner's own terms by default; the paid Free Cancellation add-on, which returns 100 per cent of the base fare if you cancel more than six hours out but does not refund its own fee; the ASSURED tag, which adds up to 100 per cent for a bus more than two hours late (claimable even if you travelled) and up to 150 per cent if the operator cancels; and a full refund of the total when the operator cancels the service. Refunds are processed same-day, but take 2 to 7 working days to reach a bank account.

MakeMyTrip's offer wall carried 73 cards when we read it on 1 September 2026, and sorting them by the expiry date printed on each one changes the picture entirely. Most of the wall runs to 30 or 31 December. Eight cards expire between 3 and 11 September, and they are almost all airline sales: Etihad Airways on the 3rd, Qatar Airways at up to 30 per cent off on the 6th, AirAsia's Thailand fares from Rs. 12,850 on the 8th, FLY91 cashback on the 9th, and two 11 September bus and multi-category cards. Eleven cards print a coupon code — MMTSPECIAL, PRIMODAY, FLIX15, MEGABUS, RTCNEW, INTRCITY, the four regional bus codes MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST, and VISASIGNATURE — and nine of those are bus offers running to the end of December. Almost no card publishes its minimum spend or rupee cap, and every headline is worded “up to”.

AbhiBus's offers page carried 34 distinct offers on 31 August 2026, ten of them restricted to new users or a first booking. The two headline codes are advertised as Rs. 500 off, and AbhiBus's own terms split that in half: ABHIFIRST gives 15 per cent instant discount capped at Rs. 150 plus 15 per cent cashback capped at Rs. 225, while WEDDINGS gives 10 per cent capped at Rs. 250 instantly plus matching cashback. The cashback is credited after the journey, and neither code works on state RTC buses. Eight operator-specific new-user codes pay more at checkout: NAVEEN500 is a flat Rs. 500 on Naveen Transport with no minimum, and SHYAMOLI200, ABHIDNR200 and MAHA200 are flat Rs. 200. Two of them expire within days.

MakeMyTrip's offers page carried 18 bus offers on 31 August 2026, eleven of them with a code. The four regional codes are one offer wearing four names: MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTWEST and MMTEAST all give a flat 8 per cent, expiring 30 December, and differ only in the states they name. The codes worth hunting are attached to operators — FLIX15 gives a flat 15 per cent on FlixBus, PRIMODAY 10 per cent on Primo buses and RTCNEW 10 per cent on state RTC buses for a first booking, all to 31 December. MMTESCAPE, worth up to Rs. 300 on long-weekend travel, expires on 5 September, and MMTBLACK's flat Rs. 150 off bus tickets does not start until 10 October. None of the cards prints a maximum discount.

Every cashback AbhiBus advertises lands in AbhiCash, and the wallet's own terms decide what that cashback is worth. Read on 30 August 2026, they set out two balances that look identical and behave differently. Promotional AbhiCash — offers, cashback, referrals — expires 90 days after it is credited, or 30 days if it comes back to you after a cancellation. Non-promotional AbhiCash, meaning money you added or a refund of a fare you paid, never expires and is 100 per cent redeemable. The number that matters most is the redemption floor: AbhiBus guarantees only the lower of 5 per cent of the booking amount or Rs. 500 of promotional balance per booking. On a Rs. 800 fare that is Rs. 40, so a Rs. 250 cashback clears across several bookings, not one. Neither balance can be withdrawn to a bank.

AbhiBus was running 32 offer cards on abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers when we read the page on 27 August 2026. Six are tied to a payment instrument rather than a bus operator, and four of those six take no coupon code at all - they apply automatically when you pay with that method, which is why searching for an AbhiBus Paytm or Amazon Pay code returns nothing real. Only SBICAB and UPIMBK reduce what you pay at checkout; the other four are cashback that arrives later, two of them through scratch cards. The SBI card's title says Rs. 150 and its own terms say flat Rs. 200 - and add a restriction the card face omits, that payment must fall on a Thursday or Friday. UPIMBK is barred from government SRTC bookings and works only in the app. This page lists every minimum, cap, expiry and condition as AbhiBus states them.

We read every offer card on makemytrip.com/offers/ on 27 August 2026 - eighteen of them carried a copyable code - and two things are worth knowing before you paste one in. First, MMTESCAPE is not a single offer: the same code sits on four cards with four different published ceilings, up to Rs. 1,000 on cabs, up to Rs. 500 on train alternate trip plans, up to Rs. 300 on buses and up to 40 per cent on a multi-product card, all expiring 5 September 2026. Second, MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST are the same flat 8 per cent bus offer sorted by boarding region, not four competing discounts. This page lists all eighteen cards with the category, the discount and the expiry each one prints, flags that MMTBLACK's bus offer does not start until 10 October, and says plainly what the cards do not disclose.

AbhiBus ran 40 offer cards on abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers when we read the page on 26 August 2026, and nine of them are tied to a state road transport corporation. The codes are published inside each card's own terms text rather than on the card face: UPSRTC, HRTC, APSRTC, TGSRTC, KSRTC, UTC300, OSRTC, GSRTC - and RJ100 for Rajasthan, the only code that does not match its corporation's acronym. Every headline on those cards is a sum of two halves. UPSRTC and HRTC advertise Rs. 500 and cap the instant discount at Rs. 250; the other Rs. 250 is AbhiCash wallet credit paid after the journey is completed. For existing users, three of the nine cards drop to 10 per cent up to Rs. 50 as cashback only, with no instant discount at all. This page lists every code, cap, usage limit and expiry date as AbhiBus states them, and works out what each is worth on real fares.

We read all 39 offer cards on AbhiBus's own offers page on 22 August 2026 - note that the live URL is /bus-ticket-offers, since /offers returns a 404 - and sorted them by who funds the discount. Only three come from AbhiBus itself, and two of those three are first-booking offers worth Rs. 500 each, which are closed to anyone who has booked before. The one open platform offer is 20 per cent off up to Rs. 250 plus 20 per cent cashback up to Rs. 250, and the cashback half goes to AbhiCash, the site's own wallet, rather than off today's fare. Twelve offers attach to a payment method and cap between Rs. 50 and Rs. 300, with nine of the twelve at Rs. 200 or below. The remaining 24 are operator-specific: nine state transport corporations, where UPSRTC and HRTC state up to Rs. 500 and RSRTC states a 50 per cent discount with no cap printed, and fifteen private fleets running from a flat Rs. 500 down to a Rs. 50 cap. No coupon code is printed on any card.

We rendered MakeMyTrip's own offers page on 22 August 2026 - a plain fetch of the site fails from our host and the legacy promos index is a 404 - and pulled 89 offer rows. Fifteen print an explicit coupon code, and nine of those fifteen are bus codes: MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST split by boarding region, MEGABUS, RTCNEW for flat 10 per cent off state transport buses, INTRCITY, PRIMODAY and FLIX15 for flat 15 per cent off FlixBus. The bus codes run to 30 or 31 December; the stay and package codes FIRSTHOMESTAY and MMTESCAPE expire on 4 September. MMTBLACK, the loyalty tier, has its own code and a separate flat Rs. 150 off card. The flight and hotel offers, which carry the biggest headline numbers on the page including up to 60 per cent off OYO stays, have no codes at all - they are click-through banners. And one card was stamped 'Expires on 3 Aug' and was still being displayed nineteen days later.

We read both offer shelves on 18 August 2026 - redbus.in/offers, which prints each coupon code as text, and abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers, which prints the code on the offer creative. RedBus published 50 codes; AbhiBus published 34 offer tiles. Neither site is simply cheaper, and the comparison splits four ways. AbhiBus wins first bookings, at Rs. 500 against RedBus's Rs. 250, and state-run routes, with Rs. 500 caps on UPSRTC and HRTC and a straight 50 per cent on Rajasthan SRTC against RedBus's uniform Rs. 300. RedBus wins on bank cards, with three separate Rs. 500 caps for IDFC FIRST, RBL and Axis credit cards against AbhiBus's best of Rs. 300, and on breadth, with around thirty operator-specific codes against AbhiBus's eleven. On both sites one coupon applies per booking while a payment offer is applied separately at checkout, so the usual best case is one code plus one card offer.

We transcribed 36 live AbhiBus offers from the brand's own offers page and offer creatives on 15 August 2026, and because AbhiBus prints the code on each offer creative, every code here is transcribed rather than guessed. Four apply sitewide or to a first booking: FREEDOMSALE for 15 per cent off in the Independence Day Freedom Sale, ABHIFIRST for 15 per cent up to Rs. 500 on a first website booking, APPNEW for up to Rs. 500 on a first app booking, and WEDDINGS for up to Rs. 500 on wedding travel. Nine are tied to a state transport corporation, with the largest caps on the page - Rs. 500 on UPSRTC and HRTC, 50 per cent on Rajasthan SRTC. Eleven are private-operator codes from flat Rs. 100 to 30 per cent. Twelve are card and UPI offers that stack on top of a coupon, including a flat Rs. 200 SBI credit card discount stated as valid only on Thursdays and Fridays. Only one coupon code applies per booking, so the savings cap rather than the percentage decides which to use.
