AbhiBus's Travel Guarantee add-on pays 3X the ticket fare if the bus operator cancels the service - and according to AbhiBus's own FAQ, read on 22 October 2026, that 3X is one part cash and two parts coupon. 1X (100%) of the fare after discount adjustments goes back to your original payment source; 2X (200%) is issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon locked to your account and mobile number and usable only on a future bus booking. AbhiBus's own worked example: a Rs. 1,000 fare plus a Rs. 20 fee returns Rs. 1,000 to your card and Rs. 2,000 as a coupon, with the Rs. 20 fee non-refundable under any circumstances. The benefit applies only when the operator fully cancels - not on a partial cancellation, a delay or a breakdown - and not at all if you cancel yourself. The fee starts at Rs. 9. Nothing was booked or claimed.

AbhiBus's Free Cancellation add-on, read from its own published FAQ on 22 October 2026. It is an opt-in paid service selected on the passenger details page before payment. Cancel inside the window and AbhiBus refunds 100% of the ticket base fare automatically to your original payment mode, with no documents required - but in its own words, "the Free cancellation charge will not be refunded". The window is usually 6 hours before journey start, and AbhiBus states that for certain bus partners it extends to 1 hour, so the applicable number is per booking and is shown on the review page and the ticket copy. Cancel after the window and the refund follows the bus partner's own policy, which AbhiBus does not publish centrally. If the operator cancels, AbhiBus says it refunds 100% of the total paid regardless. Nothing was booked or cancelled.

AbhiBus's own published FAQ read on 22 October 2026, looking for where the aggregator model shows. On four questions travellers routinely ask, the answer is the bus partner's: luggage allowance, charges for extra boxes, partial cancellation and the cancellation refund slab. On luggage AbhiBus publishes nothing at all - no weight, no bag count, no box limit, no fee - only that "Every Bus Partner has their own rules". Seat pricing within one bus is explained, with three reasons: AC and non-AC in the same vehicle, seater and sleeper in the same vehicle, and operators pricing front rows above back rows. What AbhiBus does publish centrally: a 15-minute boarding margin, mandatory government photo ID, refunds processed instantly or within 24 hours with a 7-day wait before querying, 100% back if the operator cancels, and Indian-issued cards only. Nothing was booked or boarded.

AbhiBus's own offers page read on 21 October 2026: 34 live offers, seven of them tied to a single named bus operator. NAVEEN500 gives a flat Rs. 500 off Naveen Transport (Durg) bookings with no minimum fare at all — larger than every percentage code on the site, which cap between Rs. 100 and Rs. 300. ROYAL30 and ROYAL are two different Raipur operators with identical terms (30%, cap Rs. 250, min Rs. 500). PAYAL30 states a minimum fare of Rs. 1. FLIX15 is the only code with no stated cap. Four of the seven are new-users-only; none works on a government RTC. Nothing was booked.

AbhiBus's own offers page read on 21 October 2026: 34 live offers, 11 of them payment-method offers. All seven card codes advertise 10% off and all seven are capped — at Rs. 100 (UPIMBK, ABHIZET), Rs. 200 (BUSAU200, VISACC, VISADC) or Rs. 300 (RBL300, IXIGOCCBUS). So 10% holds only up to a fare of Rs. 1,000, Rs. 2,000 or Rs. 3,000 depending on the card. VISACC needs a Rs. 2,000 minimum and caps at Rs. 2,000. RBL300, BUSAU200 and ABHIZET are void on Thursdays and Fridays, and nine of the eleven exclude government SRTC bookings. Every figure is AbhiBus's own published text; nothing was booked.

We read AbhiBus's privacy notice on 19 October 2026 — 29 KB at abhibus.com/privacy. Its most useful section is one most policies skip: a plain-language reason for each of six app permissions — SMS, Contacts, Location, Device and App History, Identity and Wi-Fi. On SMS it says it reads your messages "to autofill or prepopulate 'OTP'" and validate your number. Declining notifications does not stop contact: booking confirmations and refund updates then "will be sent through SMS". The notice is issued by Le Travenues Technology Ltd, and its group-sharing clause covers entities under common control that it does not name. We read the offers payload behind abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers on 17 October 2026 — 34 cards, 26 with a code — and pulled every cap out of the terms text. Not one percentage offer is uncapped. Divide the cap by the rate and you get the fare where the headline stops: RJ100's 50% off is 50% up to Rs. 100, so it stops at a Rs. 200 fare; OSRTC's 20% stops at Rs. 375; ROYAL30's 30% at Rs. 833. The big number on a card is usually a discount cap plus a cashback cap — ABHIFIRST's 'Rs. 500 off' is Rs. 150 off, Rs. 225 of wallet credit and a prize draw. And existing users get a different offer under the same code.

Inside abhibus.com/terms, below the bus, flight and hotel sections, is a programme AbhiBus does not advertise: free roadside assistance if your bus is immobilised. What it gives you is specific — a third-party partner will "arrange pickup of stranded passengers and transport them to their desired destination or the nearest major town/city, within a maximum distance of 300 kilometres". What it demands is equally specific: you must report the interruption through the official AbhiBus helpline "within one hour of the incident occurring". It covers private buses only — "does not apply to government-operated Road Transport Corporation (RTC) services" — and excludes towing, repair, reimbursement, hotels and meals. Read 11 October 2026. AbhiBus is running a Diwali-window bus coupon, and two of its terms decide whether it is worth anything to you. "Offer is valid only for journey dates between 8 October 2026 and 25 October 2026" - that is your travel date, not your booking date. And the headline percentage is the new-user one: "20% off up to Rs. 200 + 20% cashback up to Rs. 200 for new users on their first booking. Existing users get 8% off up to Rs. 200 + 8% cashback up to Rs. 200." We read the offer first-party on 4 October 2026. A Rs. 500 minimum applies, it works once per user, you must be logged in, it cannot be stacked, and government RTC buses are excluded entirely.

AbhiBus was running 33 offers on its own offers page on 3 October 2026, and six of them lapse inside the month. MAHA200 goes first on 15 October, FESTIVAL on 25 October, and NAVEEN500, NUEGOAB plus the Amazon Pay and BHIM cashback offers on 31 October. FESTIVAL is new - live from 2 October - and carries two conditions its title does not mention: the advertised 20% off is the new-user rate, existing users get 8%, and the offer is restricted to journey dates between 8 and 25 October, so booking inside the window is not enough. The instant discount is capped at Rs. 200 either way. NAVEEN500's flat Rs. 500 with no minimum spend is the largest instant discount on the whole page, though it is new users only and one operator. Two of the six are cashback and will not reduce what you pay at checkout.

We read every offer card on MakeMyTrip's own offers page on the morning of 2 October 2026 - 66 rows, 20 of them carrying a code - and the pattern is not about discount size. The two largest flat percentages on the page are gated on which card you hold: VISAINFINITE gives a flat 15% off 5-star hotels on a Visa Infinite card, and a separate offer gives up to 15% off flights and hotels on an IndusInd MasterCard debit card. VISASIGNATURE and MMTBLACK gate two more, so four different cards mean four different codes. Inside: all 20 codes with their stated gates and expiry dates, why 'FLAT 15%' and 'up to 15%' are not the same offer, the one bus offer MakeMyTrip issues as four regional codes, and the nine offers that expire during October - one of them two days after we published.

The tightest deadline on an AbhiBus booking is not the departure time. Once you select your seats you have 10 minutes to complete payment — after that AbhiBus annuls the order and releases the seats to other users. At the other end you must be at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure with a government photo ID, which the FAQ calls mandatory; a bus missed because you were late or waiting at the wrong point is explicitly not refundable. And much of what governs your trip — luggage allowance, refund terms, even why two seats on the same bus cost different amounts — is set by the bus partner, not by AbhiBus.

Re-read on 4 September 2026: AbhiBus carries fourteen coupon codes tied to a named private bus operator. Two expire on 10 September — BABU10 and RAJHANS150 — and seven of the fourteen are restricted to new users, including every one of the large flat-rupee codes and all four 30 per cent codes. Of the five codes that carried a 31 August expiry when this page first ran, four were extended (VRL10 as far as 15 February 2027) and one, SHYAMOLI200, was withdrawn. The number that decides value is the cap, not the headline: RAJHANS150's 30 per cent stops growing at a Rs. 500 fare and is a flat Rs. 150 above it, while NUEGOAB's 10 per cent keeps growing to a Rs. 2,000 fare. FLIX15 is the only code whose published terms state no cap at all. Existing customers are limited to VRL10, BABU10, PTC100 and UTC300.
