We read 94 winter-bedding listings on myntra.com on 15 September 2026 — blankets, dohars, quilts and comforters from Rs. 262 to Rs. 9,718 — and measured them against the one number that describes warmth. GSM, grams per square metre, is stated on 58 of the 94 and missing from 36. Where it is stated the rate runs from Rs. 1.05 to Rs. 24.16 per GSM. The clearest illustration sits two chapters apart on this page: the highest stated weight in the entire read, an 800 GSM comforter with 7,406 ratings, sells at Rs. 997, while a 550 GSM blanket sells at Rs. 3,706. Myntra also pools ratings across colourways, so two big counts here are shared and carry no star pill.
We read fifty bedsheet listings on myntra.com on 13 September 2026 and seated twenty. The category is sold on one number — thread count — so we pulled it out of every title and put it against the price. The relationship runs backwards: the 22 sheets at 250 TC and above have a median price of Rs. 450, and the 15 sheets under 160 TC a median of Rs. 815. The reason is not a bargain. The high-count sheets are polycotton and microfibre carrying MRPs near Rs. 3,000 and badges of 84 to 87 percent; the low-count sheets are pure cotton from established labels with Rs. 1,399 MRPs and 25 percent badges — and they carry the two best star averages in the read. Priced per stated thread, the shelf spans Rs. 1.30 to Rs. 9.69.
We read 97 towel, robe and blanket listings from Myntra's own listing data on 9 September 2026 and seated twenty-two, all under Rs. 1,000, from Rs. 275 to Rs. 999. The finding that changes how you read this shelf: forty-three of the 97 listings share their rating count with a sibling. Seven MYTRIDENT towels in seven colours all display 4.4 from 21,755 ratings; six Famyo blankets all display 4.5 from 1,749. The three aisles also discount in different registers — robes at a 72.5% median, towels at 54%, blankets at 40.5% — and seven towels here are sold at exactly their stated MRP, including both Jockey listings.
We read both towel shelves on the same morning, 9 September 2026 — 30 Amazon listings and 33 Myntra ones, plus 60 single blankets. Amazon's median towel is Rs. 299 against Myntra's Rs. 422, which looks decisive until you compare at the same cloth weight: at 450 GSM and above the medians are Rs. 454 and Rs. 490. The gap is a range effect — Amazon stocks a 180 to 250 GSM tier from Rs. 99 that Myntra does not list. Two other differences matter more than price: Myntra publishes GSM in 26 of 33 titles against Amazon's 11 of 30, and Myntra's displayed rating counts are 4.4 times its actual feedback once shared colourway pools are counted once.
We read AJIO's own results for bedsheet, bed cover, curtain and cushion cover on 2 September 2026 — two pages each, no filters, no account — and got 288 distinct listings. The shelf is cheap: 207 under Rs. 1,000, 62 under Rs. 500, everything between Rs. 130 and Rs. 5,039, median Rs. 734 at 60 per cent off. The finding that shapes how you shop it is an absence: not one of the 288 listings carries a rating or a rating count, so the discount badge is the only signal on the tile — and 37 listings sit at exactly 60 per cent off with 29 more at exactly 50, against 84 MRPs and 162 selling prices. One brand is 52 of the 77 curtains. Arrabi's 83–87 per cent badges come off MRPs up to Rs. 8,489 and land at an ordinary Rs. 900 median. Below: the four aisles priced, the twelve biggest brands, and the cheapest listings on the shelf.
We read both home shelves the same morning, 2 September 2026, logged out and unfiltered: 288 AJIO listings across bedsheets, bed covers, curtains and cushion covers, and 144 Myntra listings across the same four aisles. On price they are almost interchangeable — AJIO's median is Rs. 734 at 60 per cent off, Myntra's Rs. 789 at 64, and 22 per cent of each shelf sells under Rs. 500. The separation is evidence, not money: Myntra shows a customer rating on 103 of its 144 listings with 36 above a thousand ratings, and AJIO shows one on none of its 288. Aisle by aisle AJIO is cheaper on curtains (Rs. 639 against Rs. 933) and bed covers (Rs. 884 against Rs. 1,299). Twelve brands sell on both, and within them it splits: KLOTTHE's median is Rs. 473 on Myntra against Rs. 1,005 on AJIO, while Saral Home is cheaper on AJIO.
We read Amazon India's popularity-sorted results for office chairs, study tables and bookshelves on 31 August 2026 — 90 organic listings, sponsored placements removed. Office chairs are the tightest shelf: all 30 between Rs. 3,475 and Rs. 8,923, median Rs. 5,524, and 21 of them from just two sellers, CELLBELL and beAAtho. Eleven of those 30 chairs declare exactly the same Rs. 9,999 MRP behind prices of Rs. 3,475 to Rs. 4,199, which is what spreads their badges from 58 to 65 per cent. Study tables (Rs. 249 to Rs. 22,999) and bookshelves (Rs. 479 to Rs. 28,199) span far wider, but their cheap ends are folding laptop trays and fabric wall racks rather than desks and bookcases. Twenty-four of the 90 listings carry fewer than 50 reviews.
Amazon India's popularity-sorted results for mattress, bedsheet and pillow, read on 31 August 2026, returned 90 organic listings — and the three aisles price in opposite directions. Bedsheets run Rs. 188 to Rs. 1,599 with a Rs. 374 median and a 69 per cent median badge, half the shelf at 70 per cent or more. Mattresses run Rs. 1,448 to Rs. 158,634 with a Rs. 7,164 median and a 36 per cent median badge, the two dearest listings discounting 9 and 10 per cent. Pillows sit between, apart from a Purple Pillow listed at Rs. 49,068. Ratings run the other way from badges: the bedsheet aisle's median score is 3.8, with BSB HOME's 18,166-review sheet at 3.3, while Wakefit's ShapeSense mattress holds 4.4 from 88,451 reviews on a 31 per cent badge.
We pulled Myntra's curtain, cushion cover and floor mat listings on 30 August 2026 — 96 of them, Rs. 349 to Rs. 2,799, median Rs. 750, which makes this the cheapest shelf we have read on the store. It is also better evidenced than most: a Cortina set of two room-darkening curtains at Rs. 571 carries 6,369 ratings at 4.5, more than anything on Myntra's bag or festive-wear shelves, and Urban Space holds four more listings between Rs. 799 and Rs. 999 with over a thousand ratings each. The number to read on cushion covers is the piece count, not the badge: a five-pack at Rs. 449 badged 50 per cent works out at Rs. 90 a cover, against Rs. 273 for a two-piece set at Rs. 546 badged 82. Floor mats start at Rs. 349.
MUJI's official India storefront runs on AJIO, and its sale banner currently promises up to 50% off. We swept the storefront's End of Season Sale rack, stationery shelves and clothing collections live on August 24, 2026, and kept 17 pieces — every price read from the listing itself, including the lower 'offer price' the store applies automatically at checkout. The cuts peak at 51% on lyocell pillow cases, run 44% deep across the bedding wall, and bottom out at a Rs. 175 collection binder. One honesty note up front: MUJI's storefront does not display buyer ratings, so unlike our marketplace sweeps, these picks lean on sale depth and the range's reputation — we say which is which in every card.
Flipkart's Grand Furniture Sale is live with a 'Top 20 Steals' wall and six room-wise sections. We swept all six — living room, bedroom, storage, dining and kitchen, outdoor, and study and office — on August 23, 2026, and kept 17 pieces that survived verification: every price and MRP read off the listing's own price block, every rating shown with its count, and fresh unreviewed listings flagged instead of dressed up. The range runs from a Rs. 486 crockery cabinet at the sale's deepest verified cut (76%) to Nilkamal's Rs. 18,890 recliner at 61% off, with the crowd's favourite — a 13,705-rating sofa cum bed at half price — leading the list.
We read 205 Tata CLiQ dinnerware, glassware and kitchen storage listings on August 12, 2026 from the retailer's own catalogue across three queries, and seated 20. Eighty-eight of those listings are multi-piece sets, so the tile price is a box price: divided by the piece count, this shelf runs from Rs. 30 to Rs. 1,187 per piece against a median of Rs. 174 - a 40x range. Two adjacent picks here make the point: six tempered glass plates at Rs. 181 each and one ceramic plate at Rs. 1,118, on the identical 25 per cent badge. The second pattern is who discounts: house and marketplace labels run deep - Goodhomes at a median 52 per cent across 21 listings, HAZEL at 46 across 21, ExclusiveLane at 47 across 9 - while the established glass and ceramic names barely move, with Corelle at 13 per cent, Borosil at 5 and Clay Craft at 5. Eighty-two rows carry a rating at a median sample of one vote, and 28 listings show a 5.0 built on a single rating. Twenty picks, Rs. 284 to Rs. 1,628.
We read 145 Amazon home storage and furniture listings on August 11, 2026 across six searches - office chairs, study tables, bookshelves, shoe racks, storage organisers and wardrobe organisers - and seated 20. In this category the stated MRP is the least reliable number on the page and the badge measures how unreliable it is. A nylon underbed storage bag sells at Rs. 329 against a claimed Rs. 15,999, a 98 per cent badge, on 27,973 ratings. A study table claims Rs. 38,315, the highest figure in the read, on eleven ratings. One chair brand filed eighteen rows against just seven stated MRPs, every one ending in 999, with three different chairs sharing the identical Rs. 9,999 claim. Where the stated price is credible the badge lands between 10 and 28 per cent on its own. The most-rated listing here, with 103,268 ratings, is discounted an unremarkable 50 per cent. Twenty picks, Rs. 299 to Rs. 9,999.
We read Sleepyhead's own product feed on August 2, 2026 - 301 listings, 290 in stock with images. Sleepyhead is mostly a sofa company, and we have covered that side before, so this page is the other 111 listings: mattresses, protectors, pillows, comforters and beds. The thing worth knowing before you shop it is that every mattress price on the site is the price of the smallest and thinnest version of that mattress. The Original is advertised at Rs. 7,479; that is a five-inch single, and the queen is Rs. 11,059, the king Rs. 12,899. Holding the size still and going from five inches to eight costs another Rs. 1,980. So a mattress here has three price axes and the listing card shows you the floor of all three. Twenty-two picks organised by material and by what sits on top, with the queen and king price stated on every mattress card, plus the six mattresses discounted by exactly five per cent while the cheaper models carry thirty-plus.
We read 290 unique Sleepyhead products from the brand's own feed on July 27, all of them carrying an MRP, and 157 of them sofas. A sofa is priced as an object and bought as a number of places to sit, so we divided every one by its seat count — a division no listing page performs. The rate runs from Rs. 3,166 to Rs. 12,100 per seat, a near four-fold spread, while the discount badges on almost every straight sofa in the pull sit between 21% and 25%. The percentage is not what varies here. Two further findings came out of the division. Buying fewer seats costs more per seat in every range: a Kiki two-seater is Rs. 6,750 a seat against the three-seater's Rs. 6,000, and a single armchair is Rs. 10,099 against its own range's Rs. 6,733 — a 50% penalty. And the discount runs the wrong way, with the three deepest sofa badges of 35%, 32% and 30% sitting on the three most expensive seats. Prices read from mysleepyhead.com on July 27, 2026.
