Ninety-nine listings read on 2 October. Thirty-six of them state a capacity, so for once this shelf can be priced in the unit that matters.
Most shelves make you guess at size. This one prints it. Thirty-six of the 99 laundry and storage listings Amazon returned on 2 October state a capacity in litres, so the whole shelf can be priced in the only unit that matters - and the answer runs from Rs. 2.89 a litre to Rs. 28.49. That is a 9.9x spread hiding behind ticket prices that look alike: Rs. 997 buys 35 stated litres of rigid plastic, Rs. 999 buys 100 of fabric. Below, all 36 rates, plus the four listings sharing one rating pool.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on October 2, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
One listing in the read states a maximum retail price exactly one hundred times its selling price, which is what a figure entered in paise looks like. We seat it first so the rest of the page can be read in litres instead of percentages.
A collapsible plastic basket with wheels at Rs. 729, with a stated MRP of Rs. 72,900.
Why it earned its spot Opens the page because its badge is the one number here that means nothing at all.
Soft foldable bags, every one of them stating its capacity, priced between Rs. 130 and Rs. 293. This is where the per-litre table bottoms out, and one of these carries 5,758 ratings - the best evidence per rupee anywhere on the shelf.
A round waterproof fabric laundry bag at Rs. 130, a stated 45 litres.
Why it earned its spot The floor of the per-litre table, with a four-figure rating count behind it.
A round non-woven fabric laundry bag at Rs. 139, a stated 45 litres.
Why it earned its spot The cheapest well-evidenced listing per litre in the entire read.
A foldable fabric basket with a lid at Rs. 237, a stated 75 litres.
Why it earned its spot Second-cheapest per litre, and cheaper than the other 75-litre listing.
A foldable fabric basket with a lid at Rs. 249, a stated 75 litres.
Why it earned its spot Near the floor of the per-litre table, and the capacity is printed on the listing.
A steel-frame zip storage bag at Rs. 283, a stated 66 litres.
Why it earned its spot The cheapest framed option, and the direct comparison for the two-pack above.
A cotton foldable laundry basket at Rs. 293, a stated 60 litres.
Why it earned its spot A sixty-litre basket for under Rs. 300, with a real rating sample.
A fabric laundry bag and storage box at Rs. 212, a stated 45 litres.
Why it earned its spot Shows how little separates the cheap fabric listings from one another.
Where the pack size and the material start to matter more than the ticket price. Two listings two rupees apart offer 100 stated litres of fabric and 35 of hard plastic, and one two-pack costs Rs. 282 more than buying its single twice.
A foldable fabric basket with handles at Rs. 697, a stated 90 litres.
Why it earned its spot The same brand as card 11, ten litres smaller and Rs. 302 cheaper.
A 100-litre foldable fabric laundry bag at Rs. 999.
Why it earned its spot The biggest stated fabric capacity, at almost exactly the shelf median per litre.
A round folding bamboo basket with a lid at Rs. 859, a stated 72 litres.
Why it earned its spot The cheapest bamboo per litre here, and a long way under the branded bamboo.
A two-pack steel-frame fabric organiser at Rs. 848, 66 stated litres each.
Why it earned its spot A multipack, and the pack size changes the answer by half.
A rigid plastic knit hamper with a lid at Rs. 949, a stated 60 litres.
Why it earned its spot Where the rigid tier starts, at 3.2x the fabric price for the same litres.
Hard plastic and branded bamboo, where the rate settles around Rs. 19 to Rs. 21 a litre regardless of material. Four listings from one brand display an identical 4.5 from 3,281 ratings, and the most-reviewed listing on the shelf has 12,080.
A honeycomb plastic laundry basket at Rs. 788, a stated 42 litres.
Why it earned its spot The highest average on the shelf, on a rating pool four listings display.
A large plastic washing storage basket at Rs. 1,033, a stated 55 litres.
Why it earned its spot The same per-litre rate as card 15, from a different brand and its own rating pool.
A knit plastic laundry basket at Rs. 1,129, a stated 55 litres.
Why it earned its spot Proves the shared pool: different size, different price, identical rating count.
A rattan-style plastic knit basket at Rs. 1,149, a stated 60 litres.
Why it earned its spot The dearest of the three 60-litre listings, at 3.9x the cheapest.
A bamboo hamper with a lid at Rs. 1,239, a stated 57 litres.
Why it earned its spot Branded bamboo at 1.8x the price per litre of the unbranded bamboo on card 06.
A large bamboo hamper with a lid at Rs. 1,586, a stated 81 litres.
Why it earned its spot The largest bamboo capacity here and the cheaper of the brand's two per litre.
A 150-litre plastic storage box on wheels at Rs. 3,499.
Why it earned its spot The highest price and the largest capacity on the shelf, and still not the worst rate.
A rigid plastic basket with a lid at Rs. 997, a stated 35 litres.
Why it earned its spot The most expensive litre on the shelf, from a well-known name with good evidence.
A rigid plastic basket with a lid at Rs. 1,233, a stated 50 litres.
Why it earned its spot By far the most-reviewed listing on the shelf, and the most honest stated MRP.
First: divide before you compare. Thirty-six listings here print a capacity and the resulting rate runs 9.9x, from Rs. 2.89 to Rs. 28.49 a litre, while the ticket prices of the three 60-litre listings - Rs. 293, Rs. 949 and Rs. 1,149 - give no hint of it. Second: decide on material before you optimise the rate, because the per-litre column will always send you to fabric. Every listing under Rs. 5 a litre here is a soft foldable bag that will not stand up empty; every listing over Rs. 18 is rigid plastic or bamboo that will. Those are different objects and the litre is not a fair comparison across them. Third: read the pack size. The two-pack seated here is Rs. 12.85 a litre read as one basket and Rs. 6.42 read across both, and buying its single-unit equivalent twice would cost Rs. 282 less than the pack. Fourth: check whether the rating count belongs to the listing. Four Solimo listings at Rs. 788, Rs. 829, Rs. 829 and Rs. 1,129 all display exactly 4.5 from 3,281 ratings, and two more show exactly 4.1 from 2,740 - one pool shown several times. A smaller count that is genuinely about the basket you are buying, like the Kuber's 936 or the Cello's 12,080, is worth more than a bigger one that is not.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on 2 October 2026 from amazon.in's own search results for 'laundry basket', 'laundry bag', 'storage basket' and 'foldable storage box', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Sponsored placements and repeated ASINs were dropped, leaving 99 listings, of which 22 are seated.
Thirty-six of the 99 listings state a capacity in litres in their own title. For those, we divide the selling price by that stated figure and print the result on every card. We did not measure, fill or weigh a single basket, so every litre figure on this page is the seller's claim and the division is ours. Listings that do not state a capacity are not given a per-litre figure.
Where a listing states a pack of two, three or four, the per-litre figure is shown for one unit and for the pack, because the two answers differ by the pack size and the shelf does not say which one it is quoting. The two-pack seated here works out at Rs. 12.85 a litre read as one basket and Rs. 6.42 read across both.
Four listings in this read display exactly 4.5 from 3,281 ratings and two more display exactly 4.1 from 2,740. A rating count that matches to the digit across different sizes and prices is one pool of reviews shown several times, not independent evidence for each listing, and every card affected says so.
'Waterproof', 'non-woven', 'bamboo', 'steel frame', 'collapsible', every litre figure, every dimension in centimetres and every stated weight capacity is the listing's own printed text, reproduced as printed. We did not buy, unbox, fill, load, lift, wet, wash or stack a single item on this page, and nothing here says any basket is waterproof, strong or long-lasting.
In this read of 99 listings the shelf ran Rs. 77 to Rs. 4,099 with a median of Rs. 367. Priced by the litre, which 36 of the listings make possible by printing their own capacity, the range was Rs. 2.89 to Rs. 28.49 a litre with a median of Rs. 12.39. Soft foldable fabric bags of 45 to 100 stated litres sat at Rs. 130 to Rs. 999; rigid plastic and bamboo hampers of 35 to 81 stated litres at Rs. 788 to Rs. 1,586; and a 150-litre plastic storage box on wheels at Rs. 3,499. These figures describe the listings Amazon's own search returned on 2 October 2026, not its full catalogue, and nothing was purchased.
Usually, but not reliably, and two brands in this read do the opposite to each other. One bamboo brand's 81-litre hamper is Rs. 19.58 a litre against Rs. 21.74 for its own 57-litre one, so bigger is 10% cheaper per litre. But a fabric brand's 100-litre bag is Rs. 9.99 a litre against Rs. 7.74 for its own 90-litre one, so bigger is 29% dearer. The reliable predictor on this shelf is material, not size: every listing under Rs. 5 a litre is soft fabric and every listing over Rs. 18 is rigid plastic or bamboo. The smallest stated capacity seated here, 35 litres, carries the highest rate at Rs. 28.49.
Because one pool of reviews is being displayed across several listings of the same product range. Four separate listings from Amazon Brand Solimo in this read - at Rs. 788, Rs. 829, Rs. 829 and Rs. 1,129, in 42-litre and 55-litre sizes - all display exactly 4.5 from 3,281 ratings, and two Solimo Diamond Basket listings both display exactly 4.1 from 2,740. A count that matches to the digit across different sizes and prices is not independent evidence for each one. Grouping variants under a shared review pool is ordinary and lawful marketplace practice and no wrongdoing is alleged; it simply means the rating describes the range rather than the specific variant in your basket.
Because its stated MRP is exactly one hundred times its selling price, which is what a figure entered in paise looks like when it is displayed as rupees. A Rs. 729 collapsible basket in this read carries a stated MRP of Rs. 72,900 - a multiple of exactly 100.00x, against a shelf where the next highest multiple is 8.03x and the most credible is 1.04x. This page seats that listing first and does not treat its 99% badge as a discount anywhere. Nothing here alleges mispricing or misleading advertising by Amazon or the seller; a displayed MRP is a figure we have not verified was ever charged.
On price per litre, fabric wins outright and it is not close - Rs. 2.89 to Rs. 4.88 a litre for the soft foldable bags against Rs. 18.76 to Rs. 28.49 for the rigid ones. On published evidence the shelf is more mixed: the best-evidenced cheap listing is a Rs. 139 fabric bag with 4.0 from 5,758 ratings, while the most-reviewed listing of all is a Rs. 1,233 rigid plastic basket with 4.2 from 12,080. The two are not the same object - a soft bag will not stand up empty and these listings say so themselves - so the litre is only a fair comparison within a material. We did not buy, fill, load or wash any of them. Prices change without notice and the price at your checkout prevails.
