Amazon's mobiles storefront runs a rotating Top Deals of the Week wall, and this week's rotation is unusually deep. We swept the page and its deal carousels live on August 23, 2026, checked every price against its listed MRP, and kept 17 phones — from a Rs. 9,699 Lava to a Rs. 1,99,999 Galaxy Fold, with the headline act a 16GB Nothing Phone (3) at 46% off. Every pick carries its live Amazon rating and review count where one exists; new launches are flagged as unverified rather than dressed up. Phones selling at list price with no real MRP gap were dropped, and we say which ones.

Raksha Bandhan lands on Friday, August 28 this year, and Flipkart has stood up a dedicated Rakhi Specials mobile store for the occasion. We swept it live on August 23 — every price checked on its own product page, every MRP verified against the exact variant (Flipkart's variant chips make cross-variant discount illusions easy), and every pick carrying its live rating and review count. Twenty phones made the list, from a Rs. 15,999 realme at a verified 45% off to the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max at Rs. 1,61,900. Three picks sell at list price and are flagged as such — including the Pixel 10a, which earns its slot on camera alone.

We read 42 Amazon.in listings on 22 August 2026 across three searches - steam iron, dry iron and garment steamer - and seated 24 of them, priced Rs. 429 to Rs. 5,499. The clearest pattern is where the evidence sits. The five largest review counts in the whole read belong to dry irons under Rs. 1,700: Bajaj's DX-7 at 56,337, Philips' GC1905 at 53,270, USHA's Armor at 26,806, Philips' GC181 at 22,001 and Orient's Fabrijoy at 21,914. The garment steamers, which cost three to five times as much, carry 8, 44, 117, 896 and 5,628. Two brand patterns are worth naming: Philips is the least-discounted seller here, with badges of 6, 16, 24, 26 and 27 per cent where every other brand has a listing above 40; and Bajaj's dry irons average 4.2 across 106,000 reviews while its two steam irons average 3.7 and 3.4. We also excluded three listings whose stated MRP is exactly one hundred times the selling price, all of which render as 99 per cent off.

We read 46 Amazon.in listings on 22 August 2026 across three searches - mixer grinder, mixer grinder 750 watt and juicer mixer grinder - and seated 25 after removing duplicate ASINs and duplicate product photography, priced Rs. 1,249 to Rs. 8,499. The clearest finding is that wattage carries no price information: thirteen seated listings state 750 watts and they run from Rs. 1,599 (HydroGrind) to Rs. 5,640 (Bosch TrueMixx Pro), with Bosch alone selling two 750W machines two thousand rupees apart and Longway hedging its claim into 'Up to 750W Max Output'. The second finding is about evidence. The most-reviewed product on the shelf, the Prestige Iris at Rs. 3,649, carries 74,739 reviews and averages 3.8 - below the Rs. 1,275 Lifelong, the Rs. 1,799 NutriPro and the Rs. 2,199 Cookwell. The best well-evidenced average in the read, 4.5 from 10,837, belongs to Sujata's Rs. 6,990 machine. Three listings we seated carry review counts of four, 14 and 73 and show no rating pill at all.

We read 74 Croma listings on 22 August 2026 across three searches - microwave oven, OTG oven and convection microwave - and seated 25 after removing listings that shared a product photograph, priced Rs. 1,899 to Rs. 92,290. The retailer's own pricing splits cleanly by category. Croma-branded oven toaster grills here are 53, 40, 33 and 25 per cent off; Croma-branded microwaves are 5, 4, 1 and 0. Its 20-litre convection oven is Rs. 9,990 against a stated Rs. 10,000 - a ten-rupee markdown - and its 23-litre is Rs. 11,390 against Rs. 11,500. Outside brands discount normally, up to 35 per cent on a 30-litre IFB. The second pattern is evidential: the four best-rated listings on the shelf cost between Rs. 6,690 and Rs. 16,990 and carry 79, 73, 55 and 44 ratings, while every listing above Rs. 20,000 - including a Rs. 92,290 Bosch built-in - carries none at all. The largest badge in the read, 70 per cent, sits on a WARMEX OTG with one rating.

We read Lenovo laptop prices on 22 August 2026 from two storefronts - Lenovo's own India deals page, rendered because its prices are inserted client-side, and Croma's listing data for Lenovo laptops. Thirty-one listings in total, from Rs. 46,990 to Rs. 2,76,991. Three things stand out. Lenovo's own site states an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,70,001 on three different products - two ThinkBooks and a ThinkCentre all-in-one - and Rs. 1,69,991 on a fourth, with stated MRPs and selling prices throughout ending in 001 or 991. Croma lists two entries whose specification strings are word-for-word identical, a LOQ 15IRX10 with a Core i7, 16GB, 1TB and an RTX 5050, at Rs. 1,57,990 and Rs. 1,76,990 against the same stated MRP. And the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10 Core i5 appears three times at Rs. 78,990, Rs. 81,990 and Rs. 87,990 against stated MRPs of Rs. 1,37,690, Rs. 1,84,990 and Rs. 92,290. Lenovo's homepage names a Freedom Sale at up to 10 per cent off, running to 24 August.

We read Amazon India's own search listings across four queries on 21 August 2026 - office chair, ergonomic office chair, study chair and revolving chair - which returned 160 rows and 134 unique ASINs carrying both a price and a stated MRP. Twenty-two selling under Rs. 10,000 are seated here. The finding that shapes the page: the CELLBELL C190 Berlin sells at Rs. 5,498 under two separate listings which share a rating pool of 3,409 at 4.2 and state MRPs of Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 19,999 - badges of 58 and 73 per cent for the same chair at the same money, verified on two scrapes an hour apart. It is not isolated. The ROSE Elite appears twice at Rs. 3,333 stating Rs. 9,500 and Rs. 10,500. Green Soul sells the Seoul X and the Pebble at an identical Rs. 3,790 while stating Rs. 5,980 and Rs. 7,990. Three unrelated brands all state exactly Rs. 9,999. Underneath the arithmetic the real price drivers are back height, tilt mechanism and back material, and we have named all three on every card.

We read Croma's own product data on 21 August 2026 across four appliance queries - water purifier, chimney, air purifier and geyser - which returned 77 listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP, and seated the 22 water and air purifiers among them. Two things shape the page. First, the discount badge tracks the brand rather than the machine: Philips's three air purifiers claim 10, 11 and 14 per cent off, while Honeywell's two claim 43 and 45, and the closest pair - the Philips 1000i at Rs. 16,990 and the Honeywell P1 at Rs. 15,999 - are comparable four-stage HEPA units a thousand rupees apart in price and eleven thousand apart in claimed list price. KENT does the same thing to itself, showing 37 per cent on one unit and 19 on another with almost identical MRPs. Second, nothing here has been rated by fifty people: the counts run from one to twenty-five across all 22 listings, so no card on this page carries a rating pill. Croma's own label is rated 1.4 by eight.

We read Reliance Digital's own product data on 21 August 2026 across six queries - television, air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave and laptop - which returned 71 listings carrying both a price and a stated MRP, and seated 22 of them. The discount badge on this shelf is set per listing rather than by brand or by aisle, and single brands prove it: Acer's four listings carry badges of 21, 41, 59 and 64 per cent, LG's nine run 19 to 49, and Morphy Richards prints 48 and 63 on two colours of the same 20-litre microwave. Samsung's eight all sit between 15 and 28 per cent and Asus's two at 6 and 17. The clearest pair: Acer and Xiaomi both state Rs. 24,999 behind a 32-inch HD television, then charge Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 13,999. Reliance Digital publishes no rating on any of the 71 listings, so every card here argues from BEE stars, capacity, panel type and processor instead.

We read Amazon India's and Croma's purifier shelves on the same morning, 21 August 2026 - 44 unique Amazon listings and 22 Croma ones carrying both a price and a stated MRP. Three machines appear on both. The Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Lite is Rs. 12,999 at both stores against an identical Rs. 14,999 MRP. The Eureka Forbes AP 150 is Rs. 4,998 on Amazon and Rs. 6,899 at Croma, both stating Rs. 9,000. The Eureka Forbes 355 is Rs. 9,999 against Rs. 16,499 - a Rs. 6,500 gap - and here the two stores state different MRPs for the same machine. Philips prints badges between 10 and 15 per cent at both retailers and its 4200-series machine is priced Rs. 209 apart. The sharpest divergence is not price: four water-purifier listings on Amazon state an MRP exactly one hundred times their price, producing 99 per cent badges, and a fifth states an MRP below its own price. Croma's largest claim in the category is 52 per cent.

We read both television shelves on the same morning, 21 August 2026 - 33 unique Amazon listings across three queries and 12 from Reliance Digital's own product data. Only two models appeared on both. The Xiaomi F Series 32-inch, L32MB-FIN, is Rs. 13,999 at both stores against an identical Rs. 24,999 stated MRP and the same 44 per cent badge. LG's 43-inch NanoCell - NU87 on Amazon, NU870 at Reliance Digital - is Rs. 33,990 against Rs. 34,990, with both stores stating Rs. 45,990, so the Rs. 1,000 gap is entirely a retail decision. Two further findings: all three Reliance-branded televisions we found were on Amazon rather than Reliance Digital, carrying the deepest badges in the Amazon read at 40, 45 and 56 per cent with twenty-four ratings between them; and Reliance Digital published no rating on any of the 71 listings we read from it, where Amazon's counts run to 18,143.

Thirty-one Amazon India vacuum-cleaner listings, read on 21 August 2026 across two searches, priced Rs. 999 to Rs. 79,999 with a median of Rs. 11,186. Three findings. Two DREAME robot listings state an MRP exactly one hundred times their price - Rs. 46,999 against Rs. 46,99,900 and Rs. 79,999 against Rs. 79,99,900 - each producing a 99 per cent badge. ILIFE's five robot listings carry only two rating pools between them, with three separate models all showing 4.2 from the identical 23,669 ratings. And the discount badge sorts by brand rather than by machine: ILIFE's median is 70 per cent across five listings, Eureka Forbes' is 28, and the single Philips listing - the best-rated on the shelf at 4.3 from 22,891 - shows 7.

Amazon's ethnic racks are running a Bestselling Kurtas Under Rs. 399 storefront, and the listings underneath it hold some of the platform's most crowd-verified fashion buys. We swept eight search walls and kept 23 kurtas — every one with a live price re-verified on August 4, 2026, a real MRP, and its actual Amazon rating with review count shown. The GoSriKi bestseller with 8,504 ratings at Rs. 399, Amazon's own Myx label at Rs. 199, a six-pick chikankari counter from Rs. 299, and full kurta sets that cost less than most single pieces. Roles, not rankings: best overall, biggest steal, best full set, the tailor's wildcard.

Flipkart's 0% Interest Days have ended, so we re-priced this page against live listings on August 7, 2026 rather than leave July's numbers standing. Thirteen of the twenty picks have moved, almost all downward: JBL's Tune 770NC is now exactly half price, the Flip 6 has shed Rs. 2,000, boAt's Airdopes Plus 311 sit at Rs. 799, and the Copilot+ IdeaPad has fallen Rs. 10,000. One pick went the other way — the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is dearer than it was — and we have said so on the card. The Redmi Pad was delisted entirely and has been replaced by the Redmi Pad SE. No Cost EMI remains a standing Flipkart offer between events, and the Freedom Sale is next on the calendar.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 are still taking pre-bookings at Vijay Sales for Rs. 999 down, and we re-read all three listings on August 3: the desk has moved to the 256GB variants and none of the three carries any discount against MRP. We re-checked the rest of the store the same day too, and the seventeen non-Samsung picks below have moved in both directions — the LG C6 OLED is Rs. 7,400 cheaper, the Sony BRAVIA 2 is Rs. 7,400 dearer, the Lenovo LOQ still leads on 47% off, and the boAt Rockerz at Rs. 1,999 is still the deepest percentage cut here.
