Two split air conditioners from Reliance Digital's own listing photographs on a colour-block banner, for a page about its AC installation charges

The shelf price is not what a large appliance costs to own. Reliance Digital publishes its installation charges, delivery rules and extended-warranty terms on its own pages, and we read all three on 26 October 2026.

AC installation is priced by brand. The same standard split-AC installation is Rs. 1,415 on most brands, Rs. 1,593 on a HISENSE and Rs. 1,770 on a Samsung or TCL - and none of those figures appears next to the AC when you are choosing it.

📅 Update log:
26 Oct 2026: first published. Every charge, rule, deadline and quotation on this page was transcribed from Reliance Digital's own pages - /page/ac-installation-by-reliance-resq (read with a rendered browser, because its brand-and-price tables are client-side), /page/same-day-free-delivery-tc and /page/boot-up-extended-2-years-warranty-tc-2606 - on 26 October 2026, logged out, from India. Nothing was purchased, no installation was booked and no warranty was registered, so no service behaviour has been tested.

The price on the shelf is not the price of owning a large appliance. Reliance Digital publishes what it charges afterwards - installation, delivery and extended cover - across three of its own pages, and we read all three on 26 October 2026.

AC installation is priced by brand, and the spread is 3.3x. The same split-AC installation is Rs. 1,415, Rs. 1,593 or Rs. 1,770 depending only on whose logo is on the box.

AC installation charges, by type and by brand

AC typeBrandsInstallation charge

Window ACLG, Godrej, Hitachi, Carrier, OGENERAL, Onida, Haier, Whirlpool, Panasonic, Sansui, General, Acer, Forbes, IFB, Voltas, LLOYD, Blue Star, Daikin, CANDY, Reconnect, Midea, LYF, AZE, GANGNAM, Perrel, HISENSE, Samsung, TCLRs. 590
Split ACLG, Godrej, Hitachi, Carrier, OGENERAL, Onida, Haier, Whirlpool, Panasonic, Kelvinator, Sansui, BPL, General, Acer, Forbes, IFB, Voltas, LLOYD, Blue Star, Daikin, CANDY, Reconnect, Midea, LYF, AZE, GANGNAM, PerrelRs. 1,415
Split ACHISENSERs. 1,593
Split ACSamsung, TCLRs. 1,770
Read the two Samsung rows together. A Samsung window AC installs for Rs. 590 - the same as almost every other window unit. A Samsung split AC installs for Rs. 1,770, which is Rs. 355 more than the same job on an LG, Voltas, Daikin or Blue Star. HISENSE sits in between at Rs. 1,593. The page gives no reason for the difference, and none of these figures appears on the product page where you choose the AC. All prices are stated as inclusive of taxes.

"Standard installation" is a defined list. Everything else is billed.

The installation charge buys a specific set of activities, which the page publishes as a table with approximate timings per task and a warning: "Activities not covered in the table below will be chargeable as they are considered as NON-STANDARD installation."

Three further lines on the same page are worth knowing before an engineer arrives. "If there is any extra item required during the installation, it will be charged as per the list below" - copper piping, stands, stabilisers and similar are extras, and the page says Reliance uses "only genuine parts which are brand authorized". "Holes through beams & columns of the room to be avoided", because they support the structure. And "core cutting along with permissions, if required, has to be managed by customer" - if your wall needs drilling through concrete and your society needs to approve it, that is your job, not the engineer's.

Installation is booked after delivery, through the resQ app - the page states "once AC is delivered, you can book its installation on resQ app". It is not scheduled automatically with the delivery slot, so a same-week installation needs you to open the app the day the box arrives. Budget Rs. 531 to Rs. 1,770 plus whatever the extras come to, and ask for the non-standard items to be quoted before work starts.

Same-day delivery and Pick at Store: the 2 PM rule and the 48-hour clock

The ruleWhat the terms sayWhat it means
What it covers"Free Delivery TODAY & Pick at store is applicable on Select articles across Mobiles, Laptops, Audio, Small appliances, Personal Care, Smart Watches & Accessories"Large appliances are not on that list
Where it works"applicable on Select Pin codes, subject to product availability at Stores. Enter Pin code on Product page to check eligibility"Eligibility is shown only after you enter a PIN code on the product page
The cut-offthe order must be "placed before 2 PM. If order is placed after 2 PM" the stated same-day terms do not applyAn afternoon order is a next-day order
Pick at Store deadline"If the Order is not Picked up within 48 hrs from the time order was placed, such Orders would be Auto Cancelled"Two days to collect, or the order cancels itself
How to find it"Free Delivery TODAY, if applicable, is shown on the Product Display Page after entering the Pin Code"; Pick at Store is chosen on the Order Summary pageNeither is automatic - both are selected during checkout
Can it change?Reliance Digital reserves "the right to modify or change any of the terms and conditions applicable to this program at any time with or without any prior notice"The terms in your cart on the day are the ones that bind

Two details do most of the work here. The 2 PM cut-off means the "Free Delivery TODAY" badge you saw at lunchtime is not the offer you get at 3 pm. And the 48-hour auto-cancel on Pick at Store is the one that can cost you: an order reserved at a store and not collected within two days cancels itself, with no action required from anyone.

Note also what the programme covers - mobiles, laptops, audio, small appliances, personal care, smart watches and accessories. A fridge, a washing machine or an AC is not in that list, which is consistent with those needing a delivery slot and an installation visit rather than a courier.

The free two-year laptop warranty, and its conditions

Reliance Digital runs a "Boot Up" offer giving two extra years of warranty on select Windows laptops. It is a genuine extension and it is free, and the conditions are specific enough to list in full.

QuestionWhat the offer terms say
What you get"an additional 2 years of extended warranty over and above the standard brand warranty" on select Windows laptops
When it starts"The 2-year extended warranty will become applicable once the brand warranty ends" - it does not add cover during year one
Which laptops"applicable on selected products only, check product page for offer" - the page names no model list
How it is set upthe team "will configure the extended warranty from the back-end" and the customer "will receive a message confirmation"; the customer must then download the resQ app and upload the required details the following month
Where the terms live"Terms & Conditions will be available within the resQ app" - not on the offer page
What it cannot be combined with"cannot be clubbed with any other OEM offer or ongoing extended warranty promotion. In case of an existing OEM offer, this offer would not be applicable"
If something goes wrongqueries and escalations go "through the resQ app", with a toll-free line (1800 889 1044) and customersupport@resq.in published on the page
Who cannot claim itemployees of Reliance Retail and the resQ / service partner and their family members, plus employees of affiliates, suppliers, distributors and agencies
The clause that catches people is the OEM exclusion. "In case of an existing OEM offer, this offer would not be applicable" - so a laptop already carrying a brand's own extended-warranty promotion does not also get this one. The second is the app step: the cover is configured from the back end, but the customer is required to download the resQ app and upload details the following month, and the governing terms live inside that app rather than on the public page.

What to add to the price before you buy

On a split AC: Rs. 1,415 to Rs. 1,770 for standard installation, plus any non-standard work and extra materials, plus a separate resQ Care Plan if you want cover beyond the brand warranty - we read those terms separately and the page is linked below. On a window AC: Rs. 531 or Rs. 590.

On a laptop, the two free years are worth having but start only in year three and need the app step. On anything small, check the PIN code on the product page before 2 pm if the delivery date matters, and collect a store pickup within 48 hours. Every figure on this page came from Reliance Digital's own pages on 26 October 2026 and all of them are subject to change "at the sole discretion of Reliance resQ".

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Reliance Digital charge for AC installation in 2026?
Its own page, read 26 October 2026, prices installation by AC type and brand. Window AC: Rs. 531 for Kelvinator and BPL, Rs. 590 for every other listed brand. Split AC: Rs. 1,415 for the main brand list, Rs. 1,593 for HISENSE and Rs. 1,770 for Samsung and TCL. All figures are stated as inclusive of taxes and cover standard installation only.
Why does a Samsung AC cost more to install than an LG?
Reliance Digital's page does not say - it simply publishes three split-AC price bands and lists which brands fall into each. A Samsung or TCL split AC is Rs. 1,770 against Rs. 1,415 for LG, Voltas, Daikin, Blue Star, Haier and the rest of the main list, a difference of Rs. 355 for what the page describes as the same standard installation. Window-AC installation shows no such gap.
What counts as non-standard AC installation?
Anything not in the activity table the page publishes. Its own wording: "Activities not covered in the table below will be chargeable as they are considered as NON-STANDARD installation." Extra materials are billed per a published list, and core cutting "along with permissions, if required, has to be managed by customer". Ask for non-standard work to be quoted before the engineer starts.
What is Reliance Digital's same-day delivery cut-off?
2 PM. The terms state the order must be placed before 2 PM; orders placed later fall outside the stated same-day terms. The programme covers select articles across mobiles, laptops, audio, small appliances, personal care, smart watches and accessories in select PIN codes - eligibility appears on the product page once you enter your PIN. A Pick at Store order not collected within 48 hours is auto cancelled.
Is the free 2-year laptop warranty from Reliance Digital worth it?
It is free and real, with conditions. It applies to select Windows laptops, begins only after the brand warranty ends, is configured from the back end with a confirmation message, and requires you to download the resQ app and upload details the following month, where the governing terms live. It cannot be combined with any OEM offer - a laptop already carrying a brand extended-warranty promotion is excluded.
Prices & codes last verified: October 26, 2026
Every charge, rule, deadline, brand list and quotation on this page was transcribed from Reliance Digital's own published pages on 26 October 2026, logged out, from India. Nothing was purchased, no installation was booked, no delivery was ordered and no warranty was registered, so nothing here describes how any of these services performs in practice, how long a visit takes, or what any individual customer was charged. Installation charges cover standard installation only; the activities included, the materials billed as extras and what counts as non-standard are defined by Reliance resQ on its own page, and the page states that "the prices mentioned herein above are subject to change at the sole discretion of Reliance resQ". Brand lists are reproduced as published and a brand's presence on one does not mean every model is covered. The same-day delivery and Pick at Store terms state that Reliance Digital may "modify or change any of the terms and conditions applicable to this program at any time with or without any prior notice", and the laptop extended-warranty terms are stated to live inside the resQ app rather than on the public page - the version shown to you at purchase is the one that binds. Nothing here is legal, electrical, safety or installation advice, no reader should attempt structural drilling or AC installation on the basis of this page, and nothing on this page alleges any wrongdoing by Reliance Retail Limited, resQ or any brand named - pricing a service differently by brand is ordinary commerce, reported as published fact. Zoutons may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this page; this does not affect what is written above.
