We read Libas twice on 22 September 2026 - 50 listings on Myntra's Libas brand page, and 513 available products on libas.in's own feed. The brand's own shop is the expensive one. Its 71 available kurtas and kurtis run Rs. 1,449 to Rs. 3,699 at a median of Rs. 1,999, and not one is discounted; across the whole site just 180 of 1,464 available variants carry any markdown, almost all of them suits. On Myntra the same brand's 12 straight kurtas have a median price of Rs. 868.50, and one of them carries 15,231 ratings - feedback libas.in publishes none of. The assortments are not identical and we claim no garment-level match; these are category medians, read the same morning.
The fall 2026 runways settled on eight ideas: brick red, fairy-tale tulle and sequins, trackside tailoring, suede, leopard, relaxed denim, blurred matte lips and a berry-flushed cheek. Most trend edits stop at pieces that never ship to India, so we shopped all eight on Myntra instead, keeping only listings with 100-plus reviews and a live discount. The result is 25 picks priced on September 22, 2026, from a Rs. 223 Maybelline burgundy lipstick to a Rs. 2,799 maroon blazer, with a Libas kurta that carries the colour trend into Navratri and Diwali, a Puma T7 track jacket at half price, an Accessorize London leopard-strap bag at 75% off, and the ETUDE blur balm the lip trend is named after. Roles, not rankings: best overall, biggest steal, best festive translation.
The fall 2026 runways settled on eight ideas: brick red, fairy-tale sequins, trackside tailoring, suede, leopard, relaxed denim, blurred matte lips and a berry cheek. We shopped all eight on AJIO, keeping only listings with a live discount and real buyer ratings, and came back with 24 picks priced on September 22, 2026. The list runs from a Rs. 206 Lakme plum blush to a Puma suede runner at Rs. 4,949, with a U.S. Polo Assn. maroon top as best overall, a Catwalk embellished heel at 80% off as the biggest steal, a Label Ritu Kumar sequinned dress at Rs. 6,497 below MRP, and a Miraggio animal-print tote with 908 reviews. AJIO's homepage is running Levi's and Spykar at a minimum 55% off, which two of the denim picks sit inside.
Navratri is already live on Nykaa Fashion's own landing page, and the nine-night wardrobe list gets expensive fast if you buy it piece by piece. We swept the chaniya choli, dress, jewellery, potli and footwear shelves and kept 18 picks with real prices pulled the same day — a bandhani lehenga set at 67% off, a Kanchipuram silk cut most sales never touch, oxidised jewellery under Rs. 1,000, and a Rs. 349 dupatta that's this list's floor price. Roles, not rankings: best overall, splurge pick, cheapest steal.
Nykaa Fashion's homepage is running its own named multi-brand event right now, spanning 2,500-plus labels — too wide to browse listing by listing. We swept nine recognisable brands across footwear, ethnic wear, Western wear and accessories, and kept 20 picks with real, live prices pulled the same day. A 67% Puma sneaker cut, a Biba kurta discounted deeper than the label usually goes, an Accessorize London bag at a third of MRP, and two dedicated Skechers running shoes for anyone shopping this for a workout wardrobe, not a wedding. Roles, not rankings: best overall, biggest steal, best occasion dress.
We read eighty-three thermal listings on myntra.com on 14 September 2026 — men's, women's and kids' — and found two pricing systems sharing one shelf. Fifteen listings carry no discount at all, and nine of those fifteen are Jockey, which is every Jockey tile in the read. At the other end sixteen listings print an MRP at least three times the selling price, topping out at a fleece legging at Rs. 600 against a Rs. 5,000 MRP. The sharpest finding sits between them: one Levi's thermal bottom appears twice, at Rs. 588 with a 38 percent badge and at Rs. 949 with none, both showing exactly 4,447 ratings. Prices run Rs. 354 to Rs. 2,117, median Rs. 679, median badge 26 percent.
We read 83 thermal listings on myntra.com and 86 on ajio.com on 14 September 2026. The prices are close — medians of Rs. 679 and Rs. 621, and a Decathlon Wedze BL100 top that costs exactly Rs. 699 on both sites against the same Rs. 999 MRP. The presentation is not. Myntra's median badge is 26 percent and fifteen of its listings show no discount at all, nine of them Jockey; AJIO's median badge is 46 percent and none of its 86 is at zero. One Decathlon BL500 sells at Rs. 999 on both under MRPs of Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 2,199, giving badges of 23 and 55 percent. And Myntra rates 64 of 83 listings; AJIO rates none of 86.
We read the first listing page of Myntra's shapewear and women's swimwear sections on 11 September 2026 — sixty-four slots holding fifty-four distinct products — and seated twenty-two from Rs. 551 to Rs. 1,499. The shapewear page tells a story we have not seen elsewhere: its two best-rated products, 4.5 stars from 10,398 and 7,769 ratings, are both listed at zero percent off against a page median badge of 51.5%. The swimwear page runs the other way — median 63%, and the nine listings with no rating at all run 71% against 62% for those that have one. Myntra also repeats one Rs. 699 shaper across six of the thirty-two shapewear slots, each copy showing the same 10,398 ratings.
We read sixty-two kurti and kurta listings on ajio.com on 11 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 150 to Rs. 770 and not one listing crosses Rs. 800. Twenty-nine of the sixty-two are badged at exactly 49% off — every one of them an AVAASA MIX N' MATCH, SIYAHI or FUSION listing, which are Reliance's own labels on Reliance's own platform, sitting on round stated MRPs of Rs. 499, Rs. 599, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,299. Two AVAASA kurtas sell at the identical Rs. 305 on the same morning, one badged 49% and the other 75%. AJIO publishes no star ratings at all: sixty-two listings, zero rating counts.
We read Tata CLiQ's lehenga shelf on 8 September 2026: 37 listings running from Rs. 1,449 to Rs. 61,650, a 42-times spread, at a median of Rs. 3,599. The discount badge turns out to be a house rule rather than a sale — Rhua's seven designer pieces are all exactly 10% off, Kaanchie Nanggia's ten are all exactly 40%, Divena's six are 55%, and Juniper's six run a median 61%. Nothing varies inside a brand. The other number worth knowing before you spend: only ten of the 37 listings carry a rating at all, and the largest rating count on the entire shelf is seven. Here is the shelf brand by brand and band by band, what sits under Rs. 3,000, and why the fabric word in the title is more informative than the stars.
We read 192 women's tops and dresses from AJIO's own search on 6 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 100 to Rs. 1,549 at a median of Rs. 420, and 150 of the 192 are under Rs. 600 — tops at a median Rs. 349, dresses at Rs. 459. The median badge is 73%, and it measures the brand rather than the bargain: XQsee's 15 listings are a median Rs. 248 at 89% off against stated MRPs of Rs. 2,147–2,364, while FIG's 14 are dearer at Rs. 382 and only 49% off against MRPs of Rs. 399–799. Thirty-one listings share one stated MRP of exactly Rs. 999. And AJIO returns no rating or rating count for any of the 192, so on this shelf the price and the description are all you have.
We read both platforms' dress listings within the same hour on 6 September 2026: 68 from Myntra, 80 from Nykaa Fashion. Myntra's median dress is Rs. 757, Nykaa Fashion's is Rs. 1,625; 58 of Myntra's 68 are under Rs. 1,000, against 3 of Nykaa Fashion's 80, and 17 Nykaa Fashion dresses cost more than any dress on the Myntra pages we read. But this is not one dress priced twice: of 45 brands on one shelf and 26 on the other, only Globus appears on both, and not with the same garment. The sharper difference is evidence — Myntra showed a rating on 51 of 68 listings, with a median of 690 ratings behind each, while Nykaa Fashion showed none on any of its 80.
AJIO's saree, co-ord set, women's heels and women's handbag listings held 163 distinct items on 1 September 2026, priced from Rs. 222 to Rs. 4,499 — and 95 of them cost under Rs. 800, with 23 under Rs. 500. Three of the four categories have a median selling price below Rs. 810; only handbags sit higher, at Rs. 1,279, with the shallowest median discount at 60 per cent. The percentages on this shelf are close to useless for choosing: 95 listings are at 70 per cent off or more, and the MRPs they are calculated from repeat across unrelated products. Thirteen listings — handbags and heels from five brands — share an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999 while selling between Rs. 460 and Rs. 1,279, ten share Rs. 4,999 across three categories, and eight pairs of heels sharing a Rs. 2,995 MRP all sell at exactly Rs. 779.
We read both retailers' saree shelves on 1 September 2026 — 41 listings on AJIO, 42 on Nykaa Fashion — and they turn out to be two different tiers of the same garment. AJIO's median saree costs Rs. 805 against Nykaa Fashion's Rs. 1,720, and 36 of AJIO's 41 listings sit below Nykaa Fashion's median price. Under Rs. 800, AJIO had 20 sarees and Nykaa Fashion had two; above Rs. 2,000 the position reverses, with fourteen Nykaa Fashion listings against one. AJIO's floor is Rs. 222 for a printed saree; Nykaa Fashion reaches Rs. 4,636. The brands do not overlap at all, so no same-saree comparison is possible. AJIO discounts everything between 33 and 84 per cent, which makes the badge useless for choosing; Nykaa Fashion's range reaches down to 5 per cent, the only place on either shelf where the MRP looks like it is doing real work. Neither site published a single customer rating.
Myntra's four kurta listing pages carried 131 distinct listings on 1 September 2026, priced from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,992 — and exactly one of them sat at its MRP. The other 130 were discounted, with a median of 70 per cent off and 38 listings at 75 per cent or more. When a shelf is uniformly 70 per cent off, the percentage stops describing a sale. Counting the MRPs shows why: there are 102 distinct selling prices across those 131 listings but only 49 distinct stated MRPs, and Rs. 2,199 appears as the reference price on 13 separate listings from different sellers, whose actual prices range from Rs. 435 to Rs. 704. The numbers that do separate listings are the rupee price — 96 under Rs. 1,000, 21 under Rs. 500 — and the rating count, where 52 listings carry 1,000 or more and 33 carry none at all.
