AJIO published a cargo pants size guide on September 20 with general advice: measure waist and inseam, size down in relaxed cuts, size up in slim ones, and follow the larger of waist and hip. We tested that advice against real AJIO listings on October 7, 2026. The 17 cargo pants below, 7 men's and 10 women's, are all under Rs. 1,000 and rated 3.6 or better by AJIO buyers, from Rs. 285 Ketch joggers to Rs. 974 Lee Cooper joggers. Six include the size chart from the product page, and they show something the guide does not: Highlander's size 32 is a 32-inch body waist, while The Indian Garage Co's size 32 measures 33 inches as a garment, and every style comes in a single inseam. Best overall: The Indian Garage Co slim cargo at Rs. 522 with 1,180 ratings. Most popular women's: Teamspirit cargo track pants at Rs. 458.

A leggings search on Myntra returns packs and single pairs side by side and never divides for you. We read 90 listings on 6 October 2026, found 87 unique, and seated 24. Converted to a price per pair, the shelf runs Rs. 74.80 to Rs. 1,399 - an 18.7-fold spread, and the cheapest tag is not the cheapest pair. 22 of the 87 listings are girls' leggings, and they hold the entire cheap end. Three groups share one rating pool: four max colourways off 38,534 ratings, four ADBUCKS tiles off 2,704, and one LYRA jegging sold at Rs. 619, Rs. 630 and Rs. 701 off 2,360. Badges run 0% to 77% across almost the same band of prices.

AJIO's nightwear shelf gives a shopper two numbers and withholds the third. We read 84 listings on 6 October 2026 and seated 25. Not one of the 84 publishes a star average or a rating count, which leaves the discount badge as the only comparative figure - and the badge does not work. Twenty-two listings print an identical Rs. 356, Rs. 699 and 49%, differing only in the cartoon printed on the fabric. One brand prints stated MRPs of Rs. 1,512, Rs. 1,705, Rs. 1,875 and Rs. 5,970 on five sets that sell within Rs. 184 of each other. The four shallowest-badged tiles in the read, at 13% to 19%, cost more than every single listing badged above 84%.

A palazzo search on Myntra returns 29 standalone trousers, and a third of them publish no rating at all. We read 68 listings on 6 October 2026 and seated 24. Three tiles - two under the brand name MOLIKONIC and one under VSP CREATION - print the identical Rs. 550, the identical stated Rs. 999 and the identical 45% badge for two printed chambray palazzos. Divided out, that is Rs. 275 a palazzo, cheaper than every single pair here but two. The only zero-discount listing on the shelf costs Rs. 599 - Rs. 214 more than the listing badged 81% - and four tiles priced within two rupees of each other carry badges from 52% to 76%.

Libas has two sitewide codes scrolling on its homepage: "BUY FOR MIN. Rs. 2499, GET FLAT Rs. 100 OFF | CODE: SALE100" and "BUY FOR MIN. Rs. 2899, GET FLAT Rs. 200 OFF | CODE: SALE200". We read them against the brand's own product feed the same morning. Of 184 priced items, only 36 (19%) cost Rs. 2,499 or more on their own and just 16 (8%) reach Rs. 2,899 - the median item is Rs. 1,939. Because both discounts are flat rupee amounts, the rate peaks at 6.9% on a Rs. 2,899 basket and falls away above it. The fixed-price Special Offers edits, from Rs. 999, are where the cheaper entry points actually are, and no dated Diwali event is running.

We read Myntra's lehenga and dupatta shelves together on 3 October 2026 - 66 listings - because the interesting number only appears when you do. The dearest standalone dupatta here is Rs. 672. The cheapest complete lehenga set - skirt, blouse and dupatta - is Rs. 999. Rs. 327 separates one piece of cloth from three, and nothing on either listing page tells you so. Every lehenga these pages returned is under Rs. 2,000, while stated MRPs run to Rs. 6,999. On badges, one brand accounts for five seated listings and states multiples of 1.89x, 4.63x, 6.98x, 8.35x and 10.03x in the same week - so we print the multiple on every card instead. Eleven of the 22 publish no rating at all, and half the lehengas are semi-stitched, which means a tailor's bill on top.

We read AJIO's kurta set shelf on 3 October 2026 - 158 listings - and divided every stated MRP by its selling price. The results cluster in a way list prices should not. Five seated listings from four different brands state exactly 4.76x, across a 3.1x price range: Rs. 419 against Rs. 1,996, and Rs. 1,284 against Rs. 6,116, both showing 79% off. Three more land on 5.26-5.27x and one on exactly 5.00x, and 78% and 79% are the two most common badge values in the whole read. AJIO's own house label states 1.96x. There is also nothing to check any of it against: not one of the 158 listings publishes a star rating or a rating count. So we compare the only way this shelf allows - per stated piece, where identical 3-piece sets run Rs. 178 to Rs. 528 each. Twenty-one seated.

We read Myntra's leggings and churidar shelf on 2 October 2026 - 80 listings - and matched them on what they publish. Eight shared rating pools cover 29 of the 80 tiles, so the shelf is far smaller than it looks. The largest multiplication we have found anywhere: one boys' churidar occupies eight separate tiles, every one priced Rs. 718 against Rs. 799, every one publishing 4.77 from exactly 43 ratings. The sharpest on price: one women's churidar fills five tiles at Rs. 400, Rs. 439, Rs. 439, Rs. 494 and Rs. 494, all sharing 1,352 ratings - a 23% spread for one garment. And the sharpest on MRP: one pool of 74 ratings appears against two different stated list prices, Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,300. Plus eleven listings stating an MRP equal to their own price, and the fact that half this shelf is not leggings at all. Twenty-two seated.

Libas's refund page puts two different numbers in one sentence: "At Libas we have 15 days Refund policy, it gives you an option to return items purchased from Libas.in for any reason within 7 days of receipt of the item." Headline fifteen, clause seven - so the safe reading is the shorter one. Unlike the beauty brands, Libas does allow a change-of-mind return, with tags intact and the garment unwashed. But there is no exchange policy at all except a three-day size swap on Libas Art items, which in turn cannot be returned; and missing-item claims need video proof of unboxing within 24 working hours. We read Myntra's two gown shelves on 27 September 2026 - 69 distinct listings, 24 seated here. Every single one sells between Rs. 374 and Rs. 1,740, with 63 under Rs. 1,500 and 40 under Rs. 1,000. The stated MRPs behind them run from Rs. 799 to Rs. 8,000, a median of 3.54 times the selling price and a peak of 7.96x. Twelve listings declare exactly Rs. 1,999 and sell anywhere from Rs. 468 to Rs. 1,014; nine declare exactly Rs. 4,999 and sell from Rs. 672 to Rs. 1,630. Ratings are pooled across colourways - three tiles of one dress all show the same 6,128 - and 13 of the 69 publish no rating at all. Exactly one listing in 69 carries no discount.

We read both plus-size shelves on the same afternoon, 27 September 2026 - 82 listings on Myntra and 84 on AJIO. The median discount badge is 54.0% on Myntra and 54.5% on AJIO. The median price is Rs. 1,443 and Rs. 848. Half a percentage point apart on the badge; 70% apart on the money. Each shelf strikes through an MRP of roughly twice its own prices, so both report half off. AJIO publishes no star rating on any of its 84 plus-size listings, while Myntra publishes one on 47 of 82, the largest with 22,917 ratings. And 68 of AJIO's 84 listings come from two labels that price in opposite directions - one at a 69% median badge, the other at 30%, for almost identical money.

We read Myntra's saree blouse, shapewear and shrug shelf on 24 September 2026 - 100 distinct listings with a price and a stated MRP, 22 seated here. Sixteen of them declare exactly Rs. 1,999 as their MRP and sell at anything from Rs. 364 to Rs. 1,175, so the badge shrinks from 82% to 41% purely because the price rises. At the opposite end, 21 listings show no discount at all, and 15 of those are TWIN BIRDS, which holds the most-rated garment in the read at full price. Myntra pools ratings across colourways, so the counts describe families: eight listings share 10,488 ratings, three Sera shrugs share 8,174, and three listings at an identical Rs. 899 carry 7,818, 502 and 51.

We read both shelves on 24 September 2026 — 109 listings on AJIO, 100 on Myntra. Twelve brands sell on both, and four of them cost the same to within eight rupees: Curves By ZeroKaata is Rs. 559 against Rs. 558, Sera Rs. 896 against Rs. 894. What differs is the MRP field — Sera declares Rs. 1,494 on AJIO and Rs. 2,294 on Myntra, so the same garment price shows badges of 40% and 61%. AJIO is cheaper on the medians (Rs. 500 against Rs. 702, with 54 listings under Rs. 500 against 11) and reaches to Rs. 2,688 where Myntra stops at Rs. 1,384. But AJIO publishes no star average or rating count on a single one of its 109 listings, where Myntra publishes on 68 of 100.

We read Tata CLiQ's sweatshirt, hoodie and light-jacket listings on 23 September 2026 - 92 with a price and a stated MRP, 21 seated here. Fifty-three of the 92 publish no rating at all, and among the 39 that do the median rating count is two. The largest sample anywhere in the read is 18 ratings, on a Puma full-zip that scores 2.7. The discount badges say as little: they run from 2 per cent on a Decathlon windbreaker to 78 per cent on a Club York sweatshirt declaring an MRP 4.62 times its price. A Thomas Scott sweatshirt and a Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt declare almost the same MRP and sell Rs. 4,014 apart.

We read both knitwear shelves on 23 September 2026 — 66 sweater and cardigan listings on Myntra, 145 on AJIO. Marks & Spencer is the only brand on both, and it declares the identical Rs. 2,499 MRP in each place — selling at Rs. 1,374 on Myntra and Rs. 1,624 on AJIO. The shelves are stocked for different buyers: 58 of Myntra's 66 listings are under Rs. 1,000 and none reaches Rs. 1,500, while AJIO runs from Rs. 125 to a Rs. 5,498 Tommy Hilfiger. The decisive difference is evidence — AJIO publishes no rating on any of its 145 listings, where Myntra publishes on 47 of 66 and one pullover carries 29,779 ratings. Full price lists from both below.
