We read 160 in-stock televisions, soundbars, home theatre systems and streaming devices from Croma's own listings on July 31, 2026, and used screen diagonal — the one television spec that cannot be spun — as the unit of comparison. Croma sells forty-eight televisions at 43 inches, from Rs. 15,990 to Rs. 54,990: a 3.4x spread on an identical picture size. Then we held the brand constant instead. Samsung's UE81A is Rs. 30,490 at 43 inches and Rs. 43,490 at 55, so twelve more inches costs Rs. 13,000. Stay at 43 inches and move to Samsung's Neo QLED and the panel alone costs Rs. 24,000. TCL's V6C line prices its 50-inch and its 55-inch at the identical Rs. 34,990, which makes one of them strictly pointless. A Kodak 55-inch QLED at Rs. 29,499 undercuts Samsung's 43-inch LED by Rs. 991. And a 75-inch TCL QLED costs Rs. 500 more than a 55-inch Neo QLED. more
We read 55 in-stock laptops, gaming laptops, tablets, monitors and printers from Reliance Digital's own listings on July 31, 2026, and sorted the whole shelf by discount to see what sat at the bottom. Twelve gaming laptops carry a median badge of 7%; the other 43 listings carry a median of 23%. Seven of the eleven listings discounted under 10% in the entire read have a discrete graphics card in them, and six HP Victus 15 machines from one model line sit at 2%, 3%, 4%, 6%, 7% and 7%. Our reading is that a GPU is the one consumer-computing component whose price buyers check before they shop, which leaves a retailer no room for badge theatre. Where nobody checks, the theatre returns: the read's deepest discount, 54%, is on a monitor; three tablets at exactly Rs. 17,999 declare MRPs of Rs. 31,000, Rs. 21,999 and Rs. 19,999; and a Rs. 12,499 ink tank ships twice the black ink of the Rs. 13,999 one above it. more
We read 443 in-stock women's ethnic listings from AJIO's own feed on July 31, 2026 — kurta sets, anarkalis, sarees, salwar suits, dupattas and ethnic dresses from 81 brands, priced Rs. 81 to Rs. 4,234 — and counted how many of them shared a stated MRP. The answer reframes the whole shelf: 443 listings carry only 197 distinct MRPs. Fifteen garments from three unrelated brands all declare Rs. 4,345 and sell at anything from Rs. 455 to Rs. 975 — Rs. 520 of movement on a sticker that never moves, with badges falling from 90% to 78% as a matter of arithmetic. Ten more garments share Rs. 4,596, fourteen share Rs. 2,998, and on that last shelf a six-metre saree and a three-piece kurta set declare the identical MRP. The exception is AVAASA, Reliance's own label, which marks 22 of its 34 listings down by exactly 49% — a house rate, not a derived percentage. And the read's smallest badge, 15%, sits on a SOCH saree, because a brand with shops has a ticket price it actually charges. more
We read 382 in-stock listings from Nykaa Fashion's own category feed on July 31, 2026 — 81 westernwear dresses, 86 co-ord sets, 74 heels, 77 flats and 64 sandals — and sorted the discounts by label rather than by product. The badges stopped looking like bargains and started looking like policy. ELLE's twenty-one listings carried exactly five discount values across three categories: 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 per cent, and no other number. Mabish By Sonal Jain's nine dresses were all 59% or 60%. PIMU priced six different dresses at an identical Rs. 1,000 off an identical Rs. 3,999. Bata's were 2-5%. The shallow badges clustered on brands with mall stores and high streets; the deep ones on labels that exist mainly as listings. Read in rupees the ranking inverts: the cheapest heel among seventy-four is a Rs. 391 Bata at two per cent off, and a 72%-off sandal costs Rs. 317 more than a 3%-off one. Eighteen picks, priced by what you pay. more
We read Neemans's own product feed on August 2, 2026 - 648 in-stock listings with images. Two hundred and forty-five of those are sneakers, and we have covered the catalogue as a whole three times already, so this page is the other 309 products: flip flops, slides, sandals, slip-ons and loafers, organised by what you would actually wear them for. Doing it that way surfaces something the price cannot. Across all 309 there are only 28 distinct prices you can pay, and whole categories collapse onto one number - the mainstream slides all sit between Rs. 599 and Rs. 799, more than a dozen slip-ons sit on Rs. 1,299, and about a dozen loafers sit on Rs. 1,499 with stated MRPs running from Rs. 2,099 to Rs. 4,999. Two slides at the same Rs. 599 carry badges of 57% and 68%. Two loafers at the same Rs. 1,499 carry 65% and 29%. Twenty picks from Rs. 339 to Rs. 1,999, chosen on the shoe rather than the badge. more
We read Sleepyhead's own product feed on August 2, 2026 - 301 listings, 290 in stock with images. Sleepyhead is mostly a sofa company, and we have covered that side before, so this page is the other 111 listings: mattresses, protectors, pillows, comforters and beds. The thing worth knowing before you shop it is that every mattress price on the site is the price of the smallest and thinnest version of that mattress. The Original is advertised at Rs. 7,479; that is a five-inch single, and the queen is Rs. 11,059, the king Rs. 12,899. Holding the size still and going from five inches to eight costs another Rs. 1,980. So a mattress here has three price axes and the listing card shows you the floor of all three. Twenty-two picks organised by material and by what sits on top, with the queen and king price stated on every mattress card, plus the six mattresses discounted by exactly five per cent while the cheaper models carry thirty-plus. more
We pulled Beardo's own product feed on July 31, 2026 — 406 in-stock listings, 167 of them grooming products outside the fragrance shelf — and priced every product against its own other sizes. The discount badge turns out to predict almost nothing; the size you pick decides what you pay. A second bottle of Dandruff Control shampoo costs Rs. 51: one is Rs. 299, two are Rs. 350. A second bottle of Beer Shampoo costs Rs. 401: one is Rs. 299, two are Rs. 700, which is Rs. 102 more than buying them separately. The Anti Grey Hair Serum's pack of three costs Rs. 999 while its own pack of two costs Rs. 1,099. Two beard washes cost one rupee more as a pack than as singles, and the pack wears a 14% badge for it. The De-Tan Facewash is Rs. 299 in 100 ml and Rs. 299 in 200 ml. Beardo's feed publishes no ratings or review counts, so nothing on this page carries a rating. more
We read Plum's own product feed on August 2, 2026 - 340 in-stock listings, of which 60 are gift-with-purchase or merch slots that you cannot buy on their own, including six priced at Rs. 1 and reading as 100% off. That leaves 280 buyable listings, and across them the discount is close to a constant: 10% is the most common band, the median Plum-branded single is exactly 10% off, and 33 listings carry nothing at all. So we ignored the badge and sorted by the two numbers Plum actually prints on the bottle - the concentration of the active and the millilitres in the pack. Doing that surfaces the decisions worth making. The 5% niacinamide serum is Rs. 509 for 30 ml; the 10% in the same size is Rs. 560, fifty-one rupees more for double the active. The 2% salicylic serum costs Rs. 22.50 a millilitre in its small bottle and Rs. 16.97 in its large one. And the deepest discounts in the whole shop are not on skincare - they are on BodyLovin' perfume. Twenty-one picks, organised by strength. more
We read 71 in-stock MuscleBlaze listings on July 31, 2026 across fat loss, pre- and post-workout and daily vitamins, and found the one shelf where a discount claim can actually be checked: every combo pack is also sold as its separate parts, at prices printed on the same page. So we subtracted. The eight bundles we seated save Rs. 199, Rs. 139, Rs. 129, Rs. 109, Rs. 100, Rs. 69 and Rs. 29 — while wearing badges of 33%, 23%, 22%, 17%, 43%, 21% and 12%, in almost the reverse order. The deepest badge in the whole read, 43% on a creatine-and-shaker box, resolves to a shaker costing Rs. 100. One bundle prices its fish oil at an implied Rs. 10.67 a capsule when the catalogue sells the same capsule at Rs. 9.32. Beyond the bundles, the same division does the same work: BCAA Gold undercuts standard BCAA Pro by 45% a serving, a 0.99 lb tub costs more per pound than the 0.53 lb tub of the same product, and Rs. 1,029 buys either 90 multivitamin tablets or 120. more
We read 60 in-stock products from boAt's own boat-lifestyle.com feed on July 31, 2026 and sorted them by price rather than by discount, because at this store the discount tells you nothing: all 60 listings sit between 71% and 92% off, so there is no ordinary price for a deal to stand out against. Sorted by rupees, a structure appears. Eight separate products — three smartwatches, four pairs of TWS earbuds and a neckband — all cost exactly Rs. 1,499, while their stated MRPs run from Rs. 9,999 down to Rs. 5,999 and their badges therefore run from 85% down to 75% on an identical outlay. Four more products share Rs. 1,399. A single stated MRP of Rs. 4,490 carries three different prices across two categories. And where boAt does hold an MRP still — the Rockerz Summit and Strive, the Rockerz 103 and Bold — the badge suddenly moves honestly, one point at a time. Below Rs. 1,000 the products get plainer and better value. Above Rs. 2,000 the round-number rungs vanish and the badges compress. more
We read every one of the 2,858 in-stock products in Snitch's own feed on July 31, 2026 and found that the brand does not really discount garments — it discounts colourways. 2,035 listings (71%) carry no discount at all, and of the 823 that do, 624 are at exactly 20%. The apparel ladder takes five values and only five: 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 per cent, with exactly one item in the whole catalogue at 25%. Grouping the catalogue by style code exposes the rest: 160 groups list the identical garment at two or three prices, decided purely by which swatch you click. A geometric overshirt is Rs. 1,259 in green and Rs. 1,799 in grey, cream and blue. A pure-linen shirt is Rs. 2,099 in beige and Rs. 2,624 in six other colours. A cotton tee is Rs. 639 in navy and Rs. 799 in fourteen other shades. Which makes Snitch's strikethrough unusual and worth trusting: the crossed-out price is not a fiction, it is what the same shirt costs in another colour, today. more
We read SuperBottoms' own Shopify product feed on July 31, 2026 — 743 listings, 517 in stock, 393 discounted between 1% and 70% — and then divided every multi-pack by its piece count, because a catalogue sold in threes, sixes, sevens and twelves cannot be compared on order totals. Priced per washable garment, one child's whole reusable arc lines up on a single ladder: Rs. 43.17 for a BASIC langot, Rs. 95 for a cotton brief, Rs. 100.44 for a replacement pad, Rs. 226.43 for a complete BASIC diaper in the seven-pack, Rs. 288.33 for padded training pants, Rs. 549 for a pull-up and Rs. 859 for the UNO Luxe at the top — a nineteen-fold spread. The discount badge is no guide to where you are standing on it. Every discount above 50% in the read belongs to BASIC, the older sized line, while the flagship free-size UNO wears 14% and the padded-underwear bestsellers wear 2% to 10%. The feed publishes no ratings, so no pick here carries one. more
We read 59 in-stock face washes, face serums, moisturisers and sunscreens from Nykaa's own listings on July 31, 2026, and the first finding was that the discount is not the story. The median badge is 10%. Twenty of the fifty-nine listings are at exactly 10% off, forty-seven are at 15% or less, and the deepest cut anywhere in the read is 37% — on a shelf that flat, waiting for a sale is not a strategy. So we compared price against identical printed claims instead. Three serums lead with the same 10% vitamin C and cost Rs. 449, Rs. 615 and Rs. 759, a Rs. 310 spread with nothing on the dearer cartons to explain it. Thirteen sunscreens declare SPF 50 or 50+ and run Rs. 200 to Rs. 1,620, eightfold, on a standardised measurement. Dot & Key prices three different face washes at exactly Rs. 224 and two different sunscreens at exactly Rs. 396. And every one of the 59 listings carried a real rating and review count, from 216 to 879,172 — so every pick here shows one. more
We read 90 in-stock lip listings from SUGAR Cosmetics' own product feed on August 1, 2026 - lipstick, liquid lipstick, lip cream, crayon, gloss, oil, balm and liner, from Rs. 115 to Rs. 1,992 - and sorted them by sub-brand rather than by discount. The shelf immediately made sense. SUGAR runs four lip lines at four tiers: SUGAR POP from Rs. 115, SUGAR Play at Rs. 199-249, the core SUGAR range from Rs. 199 to Rs. 899, and SUGAR Mettle at Rs. 1,049-1,249. Every Play product we read was discounted between 50% and 58%. Fifty of the ninety listings carried a discount of exactly zero, and almost all of them were core-range flagships or Mettle - Matte As Hell at Rs. 899, Mousse Muse at Rs. 599, both Mettle lipsticks at full price. Waiting for those to go on sale does not work. The one genuine gap we found: the same Mousse Muse cream sits at Rs. 599 on its shade-picker listing and Rs. 249 on three single-shade ones. Twenty-one picks, organised by which line does which job. more
We read 78 in-stock camera, projector and printer listings from Croma's own search responses on July 31, 2026, and a quarter of them turned out to be the same two Instax bodies in six different boxes. Because Croma also lists both bodies bare — the Mini 12 at Rs. 7,499 and the Mini 11 at Rs. 5,999 — the film in every bundle can be priced exactly. The Delight Box adds 10 shots for Rs. 500. The Moments Box adds 20 for Rs. 1,000. The Fun Pack to Joy Pack step adds 30 for Rs. 1,500. All three work out at Rs. 50 a shot. Only the Mini 12 Mega Pack breaks it, adding 40 shots for Rs. 1,500 — Rs. 37.50 a shot, and no badge on the page would have told you. Across the rest of the aisle the median discount is 22%, and it tracks brand recognition rather than value: Qubo at 70% and Portronics at 66% at one end, Nikon at 3% and Sony at 2% at the other. more
