10 Oct: Dates official: the Great Indian Festival 2026 opened at 12 a.m. on 8 October 2026, and the SBI 10% offer is back in the headline. Two corrections to this log. First, Amazon has published the start date on its own newsroom (aboutamazon.in, “Deals go live at 12 a.m. on October 8”), so the start is no longer an inference from deal badges — it is Amazon’s stated date, and the headline now carries it. Second, the 9 October note that removed the SBI offer from the title was wrong: it was based on an unrendered read of the page source. On a full browser render of amazon.in this morning, the event page at amazon.in/events/greatindianfestival is headed “Great Indian Festival — Sale is live”, the site-wide navigation strip reads “Great Indian Festival | Live Now”, and the homepage deal tiles carry “Live Now” badges. What has changed since the 3 October check is that the page now carries concrete deal prices rather than masked teasers: we counted 123 rupee figures with stated MRPs and discount badges, including a washing machine at Rs. 19,490 against a stated Rs. 26,490, a split AC at Rs. 24,940 against Rs. 67,990 and house wire at Rs. 1,887 against Rs. 4,540. Those are the page's own printed figures on this date, not verified at checkout by us, and their presence is not an announcement that the sale has begun. The title of this page has been updated to drop the now-elapsed "expected early October" window, since that window has arrived without a confirmed date.

15 Sep: Re-read amazon.in and amazon.in/events/greatindianfestival this morning (15 September).
