Reliance Digital sells the resQ Care Plan next to almost every appliance it stocks, and publishes the full terms on its own site. We read them on 26 October 2026. If a repair would cost more than 75% of the sum insured, the plan stops repairing and starts settling - at a percentage that falls every year. For a TV, fridge, AC, washer or a laptop invoiced over Rs. 10,000 it runs 80% in year two down to 20% in year six; for small appliances and laptops invoiced under Rs. 10,000, 50% down to 5%. The settlement is paid "only in the form of Electronic Gift Voucher or Store Credit", the device "shall become property of Reliance", and the cover then ends. The sum insured never restores, cancellation closes after 7 days, and physical, accidental and liquid damage are excluded. Nothing was purchased.
We priced the same three searches - room heater, electric kettle, men's thermal wear - on Amazon and Flipkart within one hour on 26 October 2026: 62 Amazon listings and 191 Flipkart listings, with eight models appearing on both. On the Crompton Comfort Neo both stores claim the same Rs. 2,400 list price; Flipkart charges Rs. 1,385 (42% off) and Amazon Rs. 1,790 (25% off). On the AGARO Elegant kettle, same Rs. 1,999 claim, Amazon charges Rs. 899 and Flipkart Rs. 1,209. The XECH mini kettle is a 6% badge on Amazon and a 60% badge on Flipkart for a Rs. 57 price difference, because the two stated MRPs differ by Rs. 1,500. Amazon publishes a rating on every listing; Flipkart leaves 47 of 66 thermal listings unrated. Nothing was bought.
What Reliance Digital charges after the sale, from its own pages on 26 October 2026. AC installation is priced by brand: a window unit is Rs. 531 for Kelvinator and BPL and Rs. 590 for everyone else; a split AC is Rs. 1,415 for the main brand list, Rs. 1,593 for HISENSE and Rs. 1,770 for Samsung and TCL - Rs. 355 more for the same standard job. Anything outside the published activity table is "NON-STANDARD" and chargeable, extra materials are billed separately, and core cutting and society permissions are the customer's. Same-day delivery has a 2 PM cut-off and a Pick at Store order uncollected for 48 hours is auto cancelled. The free two-year laptop warranty starts only when the brand warranty ends and cannot be combined with any OEM offer. Nothing was purchased.
We read HP's own India store printer and monitor listing pages on 26 October 2026 - 12 tiles each, every one with the selling price and strike-through price HP publishes. The printer aisle is discounted three times as deeply as the monitor aisle: printers a median 30% off, all 12 marked down, seven of them at 30% or more; monitors a median 10%, five of them under 10%, one with no strike-through at all. The two deepest cuts in the read are both mono LaserJets - Rs. 23,999 against Rs. 56,704 (58%) and Rs. 24,885 against Rs. 57,907 (57%) - and nothing else of the 24 reaches 50%. The shallowest is a 49-inch conferencing monitor at Rs. 1,37,000 against Rs. 1,39,940, or Rs. 2,940 off. Both aisles cover the same price range, and neither publishes a single rating. Nothing was bought.
Flipkart's immersion rod shelf read on 26 October 2026: 39 rods that state a wattage, priced Rs. 232 to Rs. 1,390. Divided by that stated wattage, the shelf runs Rs. 0.13 to Rs. 1.39 a watt - a 10.9x spread. The 2,000 W rods are the cheap ones: median Rs. 284 against Rs. 444 for the 1,500 W group, and every 2,000 W rod in the read is cheaper per watt than every 1,000 W rod. One brand sells 1,000 W and 2,000 W at exactly the same Rs. 286. The dearest tile on the shelf, at Rs. 1,390, is also the least powerful. Rating counts run zero to 71,896, and the deepest pool sits on a rod costing 3.1 times the cheapest per-watt rate. Four titles state two different wattages. Nothing here is a safety check; nothing was bought or plugged in.
Myntra's muffler, glove and cap shelves read on 26 October 2026: 96 listings, 32 per shelf, Rs. 199 to Rs. 52,790, median Rs. 576 at a 50% badge. ATLASEASE appears four times under one identical title against one stated MRP of Rs. 2,199 - three tiles at Rs. 999 badged 55%, one at Rs. 2,199 badged 0%, and no tile mentions the others. Fourteen of the 32 glove listings are gym, bike, riding, cycling or manicure gloves, and the shelf's best-reviewed product is a summer cycling sleeve. Eleven of the 32 cap listings are sun hats or baseball caps. Fifty-seven of the 96 listings publish no rating at all, the stated MRP runs a median 2.0x the price and reaches 5.5x, and twelve listings - including the two best-reviewed items in the read - advertise no discount. Nothing was bought or worn.
Flipkart's "hoodie men" and "sweatshirt women" results read on 26 October 2026: 129 listings, Rs. 220 to Rs. 2,469, median Rs. 399 at a 73% badge. Nine listings sell at exactly Rs. 398 - eight of them badged 79% against a stated MRP of Rs. 1,899, under four different seller names, the ninth badged 60% against Rs. 999. Twenty-two stated MRPs cover all 129 listings, and inside a single one the badge is just the price restated: the Rs. 999 group runs Rs. 283 to Rs. 628 and 37% to 72%. The deepest badge in the read, 87%, is on a Rs. 328 sweatshirt claiming Rs. 2,499. And not one of the 129 listings publishes a star average or a rating count, while the same scraper returned ratings on 189 of 287 grocery tiles the same morning. Nothing was bought or worn.
We read both sweatshirt shelves within one hour on 26 October 2026: 129 listings on Flipkart, 66 on Myntra. The medians are Rs. 399 and Rs. 790, and the shelves barely overlap - 97 of Flipkart's listings are under Rs. 500 against 3 of Myntra's, and only four Flipkart tiles cost more than Myntra's median. Forty-seven of Myntra's 66 listings publish a star average and count, up to 49,560 ratings. None of Flipkart's 129 publishes either. Flipkart badges deeper (median 73% vs 62%) from seller names few will recognise, while half of Myntra's shelf is Roadster, H&M, Marks & Spencer and Mast & Harbour - at a median Rs. 69 above the unbranded half. Eight listings across both reads advertise no discount at all, and every one is H&M. Nothing was bought or worn.
We read shawls and blankets on Tata CLiQ and on Amazon within one hour on 26 October 2026 - 67 listings on one, 94 on the other. Not one brand appears on both shelves. Tata CLiQ's shawl median is Rs. 1,561 against Amazon's Rs. 555; on blankets, Rs. 1,319 against Rs. 749. Forty-two of Amazon's 47 shawls are under Rs. 1,000; four of Tata CLiQ's 36 are. Amazon publishes a rating on all 47 blanket listings (median 1,158 ratings) and on 42 of 47 shawls; Tata CLiQ publishes one on 3 of 36 shawls, each with exactly one rating. Amazon badges deeper (67% vs 44% on blankets) from lower stated MRPs. Four Indo Era shawls share one price, one stated MRP and one 82% badge. Nothing was bought or handled.
We read 900 listings from Snitch's own product feed on 26 October 2026 and compared each selling price with the compare-at price beside it. On 722 of the 900 the two figures are identical - no discount at all. Every overshirt, short, sweater, belt and cargo listing in the read is at full price, and the deepest markdown on any garment anywhere is 20%. The discounting sits in two departments only: all 26 luggage listings are cut 30% to 48%, and all 22 sunglass listings are cut exactly 23%, every one to exactly Rs. 999. The catalogue also runs on price points - 900 listings share just 53 prices, with Rs. 1,099 alone appearing 151 times. Where a was-price does appear it is modest, 1.3x on eyewear, and where none exists the feed shows the price twice rather than inventing one. Nothing was bought.
We read 59 Uniqlo India sweater and cardigan listings on 26 October 2026 from the store's own product data. They share twelve prices, and 25 of the 59 cost exactly Rs. 2,990. Every price ends in 90, and from Rs. 1,490 to Rs. 3,990 the ladder steps in exact Rs. 500 intervals, covering 51 of the 59. Above that it jumps - Rs. 4,990 for a wool-cashmere blend, then Rs. 6,990 to Rs. 10,900, a stretch that is entirely cashmere. Forty-eight of the 59 show no was-price at all; the eleven that do run 8% to 40%, the largest in money being a cashmere cardigan at Rs. 9,990 from Rs. 12,900. The fibre, not the discount, sets the rung: at Rs. 2,990 you can have merino, lambswool, cotton or souffle yarn. 31 of 59 publish a rating, median 6 reviews. Nothing was bought.
AJIO's woollen sock shelf read on 26 October 2026: 54 listings, prices Rs. 60 to Rs. 674. Divided by the pack count each title states, the same shelf runs Rs. 36 to Rs. 391 a pair - a 10.9x spread. The clearest case: one brand lists a single pair, a two-pack and a three-pack at exactly Rs. 379, each against a stated Rs. 399 with the same 5% badge - Rs. 379, Rs. 189.50 and Rs. 126.33 a pair for identical money - and repeats it at Rs. 491 for a two-pack and a three-pack. The badge runs backwards to the per-pair price: the Rs. 36-a-pair ten-pack is badged 55%, the Rs. 379-a-pair single 5%, and the deepest badge in the read (91%) is on a Rs. 60 pair claiming Rs. 660. None of the 199 listings publishes a rating. Nothing was bought or worn.
Nykaa Fashion's luggage shelf read on 26 October 2026: 93 listings, Rs. 949 to Rs. 20,880, badges 10% to 84%. Grouped by brand, the badge sorts the shelf almost perfectly. The Indian mass luggage names - Safari 81-84%, Teakwood 75-82%, Aristocrat 71-81%, American Tourister 67-76% - never exceed Rs. 7,650. The fashion houses never go deep: Guess's ten listings run 20% to 40% at Rs. 10,800 to Rs. 20,880, and the dearest bag on the shelf carries its shallowest badge. One brand's own three listings step Rs. 16,500 at 40%, Rs. 19,600 at 30%, Rs. 20,880 at 20%. The cheapest trolley states an MRP 6.1x its price; the second-dearest states 1.8x. None of the 185 listings publishes a rating. Nothing was bought or handled.
We read 52 products from Man Matters' own catalogue on 26 October 2026, with each selling price, struck price, category and the prescription flag the site sets itself. Fourteen are at exactly 50% off and not one of the fourteen is a medicated topical - they are shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, derma rollers, serum, magnesium oil and capsules. The four minoxidil-and-finasteride solutions are discounted 3.7%, 9%, 11% and 12%; the deepest-strength one, 10% Minoxidil + Finasteride, is Rs. 849 against Rs. 882 - Rs. 33 off, while a Rs. 299 shampoo sells at Rs. 149. Across the 16 prescription-flagged products the median cut is 20%, against 34.5% on the 36 unflagged ones. Hair is the biggest category and the least discounted. This is a price read, not medical advice - nothing was bought or taken.
AbhiBus runs a separate coupon code for each state road transport corporation. We read all nine from its own offers data on 26 October 2026, with full terms. Every headline is roughly double what comes off the booking: "Save up to Rs. 500" on UPSRTC and HRTC is 10% up to Rs. 250 instant discount plus 10% up to Rs. 250 of AbhiCash cashback credited only after the journey - and existing users get Rs. 50 of cashback and no instant discount at all. The "Rs. 300" codes (APSRTC, TGSRTC, KSRTC, UTC300) split the same way. RJ100's "50% off" is 50% up to Rs. 100; OSRTC's 20% is capped at Rs. 75 but usable ten times per user, where most are once. No code needs a minimum fare, none can be combined with another offer, and all are operator-locked. Nothing was booked.
