Three of the sixty are sold under a wattage instead of a brand name ('80W', '45W', 'Type'), and two of those display the same Rs. 3,499 MRP and the same 3,463 rating count despite claiming different outputs and selling at different prices. The rate runs from Rs. 4.05 to Rs. 187.38 per GB, a 46x spread, and what moves it is format rather than brand: hard drives median Rs. 5.21 per GB, pen drives Rs. 14.75, SSDs Rs. 17.08, memory cards Rs. 29.56. The sharpest illustration sits at two identical prices — a Kingston 128GB pen drive and a SanDisk 8GB SD card both sell at Rs. 1,499 against the same Rs. 2,499 MRP. We also found four HIKVISION cards of different capacities displaying exactly 644 ratings each, one review pool across four products.

We read 67 storage listings on amazon.in and 61 on croma.com on 14 September 2026 and divided every one by the capacity in its own title. Croma's median gigabyte costs Rs. 12.88 and Amazon's Rs. 19.43 — but almost all of that gap is stocking, not pricing. We read 61 storage listings on croma.com on 14 September 2026 — pen drives, memory cards, portable SSDs and external hard drives — and priced the 60 that state a capacity per gigabyte. The shelf runs Rs. 2.88 to Rs. 39.91 per GB, median Rs. 12.88, and format decides it: hard drives Rs. 4.21, memory cards Rs. 14.83, pen drives Rs. 16.63, SSDs Rs. 17.09. This is also very much a SanDisk shop — 35 of the 61 listings are SanDisk — and its list prices can be extraordinary: a Rs. 434 iXpand 64GB pen drive carries a Rs. 6,000 MRP, a 13.8x multiple. One thing is missing entirely: Croma showed a star on 19 listings and a rating count on none.

We read seventy-one fashion-jewellery listings on myntra.com on 14 September 2026 and seated twenty-four. Sixty-seven of the seventy-one sell under Rs. 1,000 and forty-two under Rs. 500, median Rs. 451 — while the MRPs printed above them run Rs. 299 to Rs. 7,860. Forty-three print a list price at least three times the price; twenty-one at least five times. The page's central pair: a Rs. 245 stud badged 84% off sits five rupees from a Rs. 250 stud badged 16% off, and the 16% tile has 381 ratings to the other's 27. Two products are listed twice with separate review pools — one earring at Rs. 107 with 3,028 ratings on one tile and 588 on the other. All of it is plated costume jewellery; none of it is hallmarked.

We read Hostinger's India VPS page on 14 September 2026. The hardware ladder is unusually tidy — 1, 2, 4 and 8 vCPU cores; 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB of RAM; 50 to 400 GB of NVMe, every figure doubling at every step — and the introductory price does not follow it, rising 33.4 percent, then 37.5 percent, then 100.1 percent. So a vCPU core costs Rs. 599.00 a month on KVM 1 and Rs. 274.88 on KVM 8. On the renewal rate that advantage mostly vanishes: three of the four plans converge on roughly Rs. 550 to Rs. 600 a core. And the plan with the biggest badge on the page — KVM 4, at 69 percent off — has the steepest renewal step on it, Rs. 1,099 to Rs. 2,399, up 118.3 percent. All of it is printed on the plan cards; none of it is in the percentage.

Hostinger's India plan pages print four numbers per plan and only one of them is the one people quote.
