XAT Application Process is the prefatory step towards applying for XLRI and associate Institutes. Registration process started in the month of August 23, 2019 and extended upto November 30, 2019. XAT 2020 was conducted on January 5, 2020.

Once an account has been created on the XAT portal, the next step is to start applying for the exam itself. The application process for the exam is as follows:
Step 1: The first step in the application process is to start entering details for the exam application. Once an account has been created, login to the portal using the newly created ID and password.
Step 2: Scan and upload a recent photograph and a signature. The documents must be of appropriate size and dimensions in order to be successfully uploaded.
Step 3: Select citizenship from the option given. Select the program. This is an optional step and can be skipped if one wishes to study in a non-XLRI institute.
Step 4: Enter essential data like name, date of birth, gender and contact details. An active phone number must be given for communication purposes.
Step 5: Enter all educational qualifications. Class 10th, 12th, graduation and post-graduation (if available) data must be submitted. This is a necessary step in order to judge eligibility.
If the candidate has any prior work experience that too must be entered.
Step 6: Pay the application fee. Payment can be made using net banking, debit cards and credit cards.

XAT registration requires certain documents that must be kept handy before filling the application form. The documents are:
XAT 2020 has multiple exam centres all over the country. There are more than 100 exam centres in over 72 cities across the country. This year, XLRI has added more exam centres for the benefit of the candidates. The current and updated list of XAT test centres are:

Choosing the exam centre is a part of the XAT 2020 registration process. Once an account is created, filling up the application form is done next. The application form will have the option to choose the exam centre. Candidates can choose up to two exam centres in order of preference. Applicants are advised to choose the exam centres closest to them to avoid any delays in travel during exam day.
The chosen exam centre can be changed only once later and before a specific deadline only. The final exam centre will be displayed in the admit card of the candidate. Centres will be allotted on the basis of the preference indicated by the candidates in the application form.
Candidates are given a one-time opportunity to change the exam centre. However, the change can be done upto a certain time period. For XAT 2020, the time deadline to change the XAT exam centre was November 30, 2019. Candidates can change the XAT exam centre by emailing xat2020 @ xlri.ac.in informing them about the request to do so. Be sure to mention the XAT id, chosen city, new chosen city, date of birth and more details.
