Vellore Institute of Technology released the VITEEE 2020 Exam Pattern on the official portal. A new Aptitude section of 10 marks is added thus the exam will now consist of 5 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Aptitude. Candidates have to attempt 125 objective type questions in a duration of 2 Hours and 30 Minutes. To the candidate's relief, there is no negative marking followed in the entrance test and each question carries 1 mark.
VITEEE 2020 which was scheduled to take place from 13th April to 19th April 2020 has been postponed due to Coronavirus Pandemic. It will now be conducted from 29 July to 2 August 2020. Candidates seeking to pursue a BTech Biotechnology course have to mandatory opt for Biology in place of Mathematics in the application form itself.

Four main subjects of intermediate: Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology and English essentially form part of the VITEEE 2020 Exam Pattern. In addition to this, conducting bodies added a section on the aptitude to test candidates interpretative and reasoning skills as well. Candidates having Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English as qualifying subjects are eligible for B.Tech programmes whereas candidates with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English in intermediate are eligible for Biology Stream courses like B.Tech Biotechnology. The selection of qualifying subjects is to be mentioned while filling the application form itself. Once granted admission, candidates have to necessarily opt for mathematics as their bridge course.

Ques: As the admission forms are available online as well as offline, the exam is also available offline and online?
Ans: No. The VITEEE is a strictly online exam, with the duration of 2 hours, 30 minutes.
