Eyewear
Oct 2026
AJIO's spectacle frame results read on 23 October 2026: 42 listings, Rs. 300 to Rs. 6,663, median price Rs. 595, median badge 70%. One label, HASHTAG EYEWEAR, supplies 19 of the 42 - 45% of the shelf - at just three prices: Rs. 486, Rs. 498 and Rs. 595, a range of Rs. 109. Eight of its listings sell at exactly Rs. 595 under three different stated MRPs - Rs. 1,999, Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 999 - badged 70%, 60% and 40%, while the shopper pays Rs. 595 every time. Above Rs. 600 the badge changes character entirely: Vogue Eyewear runs 5% and 15%, GUESS runs 35-40%. AJIO publishes no rating on any of the 42 frames, so no card here carries a rating pill. Nothing was worn or fitted.

Bewakoof Terms and Conditions 2026: Cancellation, Pricing Errors, Coupons

Clothing & Accessories
Mens Clothing
Oct 2026
Bewakoof's Terms of Service, read in full on 23 October 2026 from India, set out what the company reserves the right to do to your order. It can cancel an order for its own pricing or typographical error "without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order)". It can limit or cancel quantities per person, per household or per order, and those limits may cover orders sharing a customer account, a credit card, or a billing or shipping address. It can refuse service to anyone for any reason, and a breach of the terms results in immediate termination. Prices change without notice and without liability. If an order is changed or cancelled, Bewakoof "may attempt" to notify you. There is also a generative-AI clause asking users to accept that output may be unreliable. Bewakoof Brands Private Limited, CIN U74999MH2011PTC220994, Bhiwandi, Thane. The separate Return Policy did not serve to us. Not legal advice.

D2C Pricing Errors 2026: Can a Brand Cancel Your Order After You Pay

Clothing & Accessories
Womens Clothing
Oct 2026
A listing goes up at a price that looks too good, people order, and the orders get cancelled. The terms that allow this are published, and we read them on 23 October 2026 across eight Indian D2C brands plus Bewakoof. Four reserve the right to cancel an order over an incorrect price. Dot & Key may "refuse or cancel any orders placed" at its sole discretion; Libas may "either contact you for instructions or cancel your order"; Bewakoof can cancel "without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order)"; and Plum states the position most plainly of all - "We cannot confirm the price of a product until after you order." Mamaearth uses a softer disclaimer and four brands publish nothing matching. These clauses largely restate the ordinary contract position, every one turns on the word error, and none entitles a seller to keep your money. Nothing purchased; not legal advice.

Flipkart USB Hub Price October 2026: What One Port Actually Costs

Home Decor & Furniture
Oct 2026
Flipkart's "usb hub" results read on 23 October 2026: 35 hub, adapter and dock listings, Rs. 146 to Rs. 1,161, median price Rs. 229, median badge 75%. Nineteen state four slots and sell from Rs. 149 to Rs. 420 - a 2.8x spread across listings that describe themselves the same way. Three different brand names - AAMS, Mobixa and Boom - sit at exactly Rs. 226 against exactly Rs. 999, badged 77%, all three with no rating published, and two further Mobixa listings at Rs. 242 served the identical photograph under different names. Price per stated slot runs Rs. 37.20 to Rs. 199.80, and the deepest badge on the shelf, 89%, is on neither end. Nothing was bought or plugged in.

D2C Grievance Officers 2026: Who to Email When Eight Brands Go Quiet

Beauty and Health
Personal Care
Oct 2026
If customer support cannot resolve a complaint, the next step is meant to be a designated grievance officer with published contact details - and several of these brands cite the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act 2019 when publishing theirs. We read four pages each for eight Indian D2C brands on 23 October 2026: terms, privacy policy, refund policy and contact page, 32 URLs in all. Five publish something. Only two name an actual person - Mamaearth's Supratim Sarkar at nodal@mamaearth.in, and Plum's Mr. Ajay Gopalakrishnan. mCaffeine and Minimalist name the operating company instead. Dot & Key has a dedicated grievance page whose contents did not load for us. On Beardo, Libas and Bombay Shaving Company we found nothing on the four pages we read - which is not a claim that none exists. Not one of the eight publishes a response time. Nothing purchased; not legal advice.

D2C Data Retention 2026: Not One of Eight Brands Publishes a Period

Beauty and Health
Personal Care
Oct 2026
You order a face wash and the brand now holds your name, phone number, address and order history. How long does it keep them? We read the published privacy policies of eight well-known Indian D2C brands on 23 October 2026 - Mamaearth, Plum, mCaffeine, Minimalist, Beardo, Dot & Key, Libas and Bombay Shaving Company - and not one publishes a retention period in days, months or years. Three state a principle instead: Mamaearth keeps data "only as long as it is reasonably required", Plum says the period "depends on different factors" and lists them, and mCaffeine addresses feedback content only. Four say nothing about retention on the page we read. The single concrete sentence in the whole set is a negative one, from Libas: "We do not record or retain your card information at all." Purpose-based retention is standard drafting and no non-compliance is alleged. Nothing purchased; not legal advice.

D2C Liability Caps 2026: What Eight Indian Brands Limit Themselves To

Beauty and Health
Personal Care
Oct 2026
Somewhere in the terms of the shop you bought from is a sentence about how much it could owe you if something goes wrong. We read it across eight well-known Indian D2C brands on 23 October 2026. Four publish a limitation of liability and four publish nothing matching on the page we read. Of the four that do, the two attaching a number land in the same place: Dot & Key caps total liability at "the amount paid by the User", and Bombay Shaving Company at "the amounts already paid by you", direct or indirect. Mamaearth and Plum disclaim liability and warranties broadly instead of capping at a figure. On a Rs. 399 order, a cap at what you paid means Rs. 399. A cap at the purchase price is ordinary commercial drafting, and a website's terms do not by themselves displace statutory consumer rights in India. Nothing purchased; not legal advice.

Myntra vs Nykaa Primer Price October 2026: Same Price, 19x the Reviews

Beauty and Health
Personal Care
Oct 2026
We read every face primer on Myntra's primer page and Nykaa's primer results on 23 October 2026 - 29 and 17 listings, logged out, from India. On price the two are effectively one shelf: median Rs. 321 on Myntra against Rs. 323 on Nykaa, both starting at the same Rs. 133. On the products that appear on both, the price is usually identical to the rupee - Insight's 3-in-1 primer is Rs. 323 against a stated Rs. 340 and badged 5% on both sites. What differs is the reviews. That same Insight primer reports 147,216 ratings on Nykaa and 7,706 on Myntra, a 19x gap at an identical price, while MARS's Glow O'Clock has more ratings on Myntra than on Nykaa. Nykaa publishes a rating on all 17 listings; Myntra on 24 of 29. Median pools: 20,303 against 2,078. Nothing was bought or swatched.

Amazon Cereal Price October 2026: The 86% Off Is Just a 140g Pack

Stationery
Oct 2026
Amazon's breakfast cereal results read on 23 October 2026: 48 listings, Rs. 79 to Rs. 1,520. The figure Amazon prints in the strike-through position is not a list price - it is the per-kilogram rate, which we verified on 29 of the 36 listings that state a pack weight, matching within 0.4%. That makes the discount badge an identity: (1,000 - pack grams) / 10. A 140 g pack shows 86% off, a 475 g pack shows 52%, a 950 g pack shows 5%, and a 1 kg pack would show 0%. Nothing on this shelf is discounted. Real unit price runs Rs. 16.88 to Rs. 304.00 per 100 g, median Rs. 56.34 - close to backwards against the badge. The same arithmetic recovers pack counts the titles hide - a listing titled "475g" selling at twice another's price is really a 950 g twin pack, at an identical Rs. 36.84 per 100 g. Nothing was bought or eaten.

Flipkart Colour Pencil and Sketch Pen Price October 2026: Per Piece

Stationery
Oct 2026
Flipkart's "sketch pens", "colour pencils" and "crayons" results read on 23 October 2026: 116 listings, Rs. 92 to Rs. 761, median Rs. 212, median badge 62.5%. Forty-four state how many pieces are in the box, and dividing the price by that count gives Rs. 2.62 to Rs. 77.80 a piece - a 29.7x spread where the ticket prices span only 8.3x. The cheapest piece on the shelf is badged 43% and the dearest is badged 40%. The 41 listings from houses with a retail presence carry a median badge of 23%; the other 75 carry 70%, and Rs. 999 is the stated MRP on 20 listings covering boxes of 12 pieces to 68. Flipkart Chandelier Price October 2026: A 300mm Costs More Than a 500mm

Kitchen
Oct 2026
Flipkart's chandelier and table lamp results read on 23 October 2026: 76 lighting listings - 39 chandeliers at Rs. 247 to Rs. 8,000 and 37 lamps at Rs. 137 to Rs. 1,400. Thirteen chandeliers state a diameter, and price barely tracks it: per 100mm the shelf runs Rs. 237.50 to Rs. 775.40, and an Adwait 300mm at Rs. 2,347 costs more than four of the five listings stating 500mm, and Rs. 562 more than the same brand's own 400mm. Mango Lights lists the same stated 800MM twice, at Rs. 5,988 and Rs. 6,203, both unrated, both against Rs. 19,999. Two Yavik 500mm listings share one photograph; so do a WEIRD WOLF and a Rudefox lamp, Rs. 54 apart under different brand names. At least eight of the 23 seated photographs carry a seller-applied "AI assisted" watermark - the room around the chandelier is not a photograph of it in a room. Nothing was bought or switched on.

GoDaddy Data Processing Addendum 2026: No India Clause, No Audit Right

Web Hosting
Domain
Oct 2026
GoDaddy's Data Processing Addendum governs your customers' personal data - not your own - and applies automatically from the day your agreement starts. Read in full on 23 October 2026 from GoDaddy's India site, it mentions "India" and "DPDP" zero times; the authorities it names are the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner, the Swiss FDPIC and the UK ICO. It states that nothing in it gives you a right to audit GoDaddy; you may request compliance information, and if GoDaddy does not reply within 45 days your remedy is to terminate. New subprocessors get 60 days' notice where practicable and you have 30 days to object - silence is deemed acceptance, and notice may be nothing more than a webpage being updated. GoDaddy is not responsible for backing up your data, and you answer your own users' access and deletion requests. Not legal advice.

GoDaddy Subprocessor List 2026: 27 Companies, 16 American, None Indian

Web Hosting
Domain
Oct 2026
GoDaddy publishes the full list of companies it allows to process data passing through your account, and we read it on 23 October 2026 from its India site. It names 27 subprocessors. Sixteen are incorporated in the United States; two in Switzerland, two in France, and one each in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Canada and the Cayman Islands, with Cisco listed across three. None is incorporated in India. OpenAI, L.L.C. appears in the same table as Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Stripe. Several rows cover "customer hosted data including data from the customer's customer(s)" - your users, not just you. The page matters for a procedural reason too: GoDaddy's DPA says notice of a new subprocessor may be given by updating this list, and 30 days of silence is deemed acceptance. GoDaddy accepts liability for its subprocessors but gives no audit right. Nothing purchased; not legal advice.

GoDaddy Subpoena Policy 2026: Rs. 7,075 an Hour, and They Bill You Too

Web Hosting

Oct 2026
GoDaddy publishes a subpoena policy telling lawyers how to obtain a customer's identity and account information - and read on 23 October 2026 from its India site, it quotes its costs in rupees: Research at Rs. 7,075.48 an hour, Copies at Rs. 23.59 a page, Federal Express at cost, payable within 30 days. Those are billed to whoever submits the subpoena. A separate clause is billed to you: GoDaddy "reserves the right to charge an administration fee to the customer by charging the Payment Method the customer has on file", and that amount is not published. Two parts run strongly in the customer's favour. GoDaddy says it will not produce the contents of email even under a court order, citing the ECPA, and that its servers do not retain deleted or sent mail. And absent an emergency it will notify you and give you the chance to move to quash before producing anything. Service is in Tempe, Arizona. Not legal advice.

HP Laptop Price: HP Store vs Amazon October 2026, Not One Shared Model

Computers and Laptops
Electronics
Oct 2026
HP's own India store and Amazon's HP laptop shelf read on the same afternoon, 22 October 2026. Twelve laptops on hp.com, thirty-three on amazon.in, and not one model number appears on both: HP names every machine with a SKU like 14-ht0218TU, while exactly one of Amazon's 33 HP titles contains a SKU at all. They sell different halves of the range - HP's own store Rs. 72,999 to Rs. 2,40,990 at a median of Rs. 1,37,499, Amazon Rs. 46,989 to Rs. 1,38,490 at a median of Rs. 78,990. HP's own store badges deeper, a median 52% against 34%, because its stated MRPs run at a median 2.06 times the price against Amazon's 1.53. Two Amazon listings of the same Victus configuration sit at exactly Rs. 1,38,490 with strike-throughs of Rs. 3,21,640 and Rs. 1,67,812, badged 57% and 17%. HP's own store publishes no ratings at all. Nothing was bought or switched on.
