Man Matters does not sell one beard kit, it sells eight — and it tells them apart in the listing title rather than on the product page. Three tiers, two age bands (“for 18-21”, “for 22-28”) and two stated concerns (“Genetics”, “Lifestyle”) produce kits priced Rs. 649 to Rs. 1,249, read on 12 September 2026. Adding a concern to an otherwise identical kit costs exactly Rs. 100. The age band moves the price in different directions at different tiers. And nine of the ten products on the beard shelf carry the site's own prescription flag — only the Rs. 274 derma roller can be bought outright. Here is the whole shelf and how to read the names.

We read fifty-seven Man Matters products on 12 September 2026; fifty-two carry both a price and a stated MRP, running Rs. 149 to Rs. 898. Two findings matter. The Charcoal Body Wash is Rs. 249 for 250 ml, Rs. 498 for 500 ml and Rs. 747 for 750 ml — Rs. 0.996 per millilitre at every size, so the big bottle saves nothing; TOSTERO capsules do the same at Rs. 7.48 a capsule in both pack sizes. And the discounts split along a medical line: fifteen listings are badged exactly 50%, while the four minoxidil topical solutions are badged 12%, 11%, 9% and 3%. Man Matters publishes a star average on every product and a rating count on none, so no rating pill appears on this page.

TrueMeds sells on a simple promise — the same medicine, cheaper — and its pricing has a very particular shape. Read on 12 September 2026, nineteen of fifty-seven products were badged at exactly 20% and nineteen at 33% or more, with exactly one product in between. The 20% shelf is Dolo, Evion, Zincovit and Liv 52; the deep shelf runs to 71.3% off on names most people have never heard of. Beardo is written about for beard oil and fragrance. It also sells trimmers, and that shelf held fifteen listings from Rs. 699 to Rs. 2,999 when we read it on 12 September 2026. One finding stands out: the Ape-X EZ Trimmer is listed twice — two handles, the same title, the same photograph and the same stated Rs. 995 MRP — at Rs. 699 and Rs. 749, badged 30% and 25%. The deepest badge on the shelf, 59%, sits on the Rs. 899 DON POWER-TRIMMER, the second-cheapest device here. And four of the fifteen listings in the Electronics category are grooming bundles rather than devices. Beardo's feed publishes no ratings at all, on any of its 250 products.

We read durexindia.com's own product feed on 12 September 2026 — 102 products, 83 in stock — and seated twenty-one. Durex sells ten different 10-condom packs on its own store and they run from Rs. 225 to Rs. 549: same brand, same count, same seller, 2.4x the money. Six of those ten are tied in two groups of three at identical prices, carrying badges from 2% to 16%. And the cheapest condom per piece in the entire read is not in any ten-pack — it is a Rs. 60 three-pack at Rs. 20 each, carrying no discount at all. This is a price read only; it makes no health or effectiveness claim of any kind.

We read Mamaearth's own product feed on 12 September 2026 — 934 products, 582 in-stock variants — and looked for a discount in the three places one normally hides. There is no strike-through on a single one of the 582. The multipacks cost exactly twice their single: Rice Dewy face wash is Rs. 285 for 100ml and Rs. 570 for the pack of two. And only six of 19 size ladders make the bigger bottle cheaper per millilitre. Which leaves the code as the entire strategy — REDEEM35, BOGO and SAVE25, all three displayed by Mamaearth itself on that date. Here is how to order so they actually pay.

We read 94 unique cap, beanie, muffler, scarf and glove listings on myntra.com on 12 September 2026 and seated twenty-two. The badge on this shelf is mostly a statement about the MRP: listings at 70% off or more claim a median MRP of Rs. 1,900 and sell for Rs. 426, while listings under 50% off claim Rs. 1,024 and sell for Rs. 730. One muffler at 86% off costs seven rupees more than one at 60% off. There is a seasonal catch too: in mid-September the muffler shelf has already turned to merino, while the cap shelf is still baseball caps and the glove shelf still carries sun-protection driving gloves.

We read fifty-seven vacuum cleaner, steam iron and air purifier listings on croma.com on 11 September 2026, priced from Rs. 749 to Rs. 86,990. The badge on this shelf identifies the brand, not the saving: Philips's eleven listings run a median 13%, Dyson 8%, LG 13% and Xiaomi 13%, while DREAME's eight run a median 42% and up to 86%. Five DREAME robot-vacuum MRPs end in 998 and each is exactly twice a round Rs. ...,999 figure. Two Croma steam irons here share a specification and an MRP and sell Rs. 300 apart — and the cheaper one rates 4.1 stars against the dearer one's 2.6. Only 33 of 57 listings carry any star rating.

We read sixty-five vacuum, iron and air-treatment listings on vijaysales.com on 11 September 2026; twenty-six were vacuum cleaners, priced Rs. 2,990 to Rs. 72,999. The same Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine is listed twice, both against a stated MRP of Rs. 62,900, at Rs. 55,900 and Rs. 59,900 — four thousand rupees apart on one site on one afternoon. Two other products in the read are duplicated too. The deepest badge across all sixty-five listings is 53%, and within vacuums it is 40%, where Croma's vacuum shelf that same afternoon reached 86%. Vijay Sales publishes no star ratings at all.

We read all three electronics chains' air-purifier shelves on 11 September 2026 — 15 listings at Croma, 12 at Reliance Digital, 14 at Vijay Sales — and found five models on more than one of them. No chain wins them all: Reliance Digital is Rs. 400 cheaper on the Eureka Forbes 270, Vijay Sales Rs. 1,509 cheaper on the 355, and Croma Rs. 2,259 cheaper on the Philips AC4221/60 — every comparison against an identical stated MRP. The Dyson HushJet is Rs. 29,900 at one chain and Rs. 29,899 at the other, badged 14% off and 0% off. Two of the three publish no customer ratings at all.

We read both steam-iron shelves on 11 September 2026 — 21 listings at Croma and 25 at Vijay Sales — and found seven irons on both. Vijay Sales is cheaper on five of them, by Rs. 40 to Rs. 500; Croma wins the Havells Athena by Rs. 131 while claiming the smaller discount; and a Philips is identical to the rupee at both. Two Bajaj irons carry exactly the same badge at both chains — 50% and 48% — while selling Rs. 200 and Rs. 170 apart, because each retailer states a different MRP. Croma publishes ratings on 18 of 21 irons; Vijay Sales publishes none on any of 25.

We read one hundred and twenty-nine men's vest, brief, trunk and boxer listings on myntra.com on 11 September 2026 and divided every one by the pack size stated in its own title. The real range is Rs. 63 to Rs. 1,053 a garment — sixteen-fold — hiding inside pack prices that mostly look alike. Twenty-nine listings are badged 0% off, all of them Marks & Spencer, Jockey, Calvin Klein Underwear or Crocodile, and they sit at both ends: Jockey's three-pack vest is Rs. 223 a garment with 12,954 ratings, while an M&S five-pack is Rs. 860 a garment with 32. Seven ROCKWELL listings all claim the same stated MRP of Rs. 1,999.

We read the first listing page of Myntra's shapewear and women's swimwear sections on 11 September 2026 — sixty-four slots holding fifty-four distinct products — and seated twenty-two from Rs. 551 to Rs. 1,499. The shapewear page tells a story we have not seen elsewhere: its two best-rated products, 4.5 stars from 10,398 and 7,769 ratings, are both listed at zero percent off against a page median badge of 51.5%. The swimwear page runs the other way — median 63%, and the nine listings with no rating at all run 71% against 62% for those that have one. Myntra also repeats one Rs. 699 shaper across six of the thirty-two shapewear slots, each copy showing the same 10,398 ratings.

We read sixty-two kurti and kurta listings on ajio.com on 11 September 2026. The shelf runs Rs. 150 to Rs. 770 and not one listing crosses Rs. 800. Twenty-nine of the sixty-two are badged at exactly 49% off — every one of them an AVAASA MIX N' MATCH, SIYAHI or FUSION listing, which are Reliance's own labels on Reliance's own platform, sitting on round stated MRPs of Rs. 499, Rs. 599, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,299. Two AVAASA kurtas sell at the identical Rs. 305 on the same morning, one badged 49% and the other 75%. AJIO publishes no star ratings at all: sixty-two listings, zero rating counts.

We read one hundred and fifty non-sponsored grocery listings on amazon.in on 11 September 2026 across cooking oil, honey, almonds, cashews and coffee, and seated twenty-two. Grocery is the one Amazon shelf with almost no discount badges at all — only six of the one hundred and fifty listings showed a percentage, all six on the coffee shelf — so the only tool that works is the price per kilo or litre, which we computed ourselves from the pack size in each title. Honey runs from Rs. 120 to Rs. 1,897 a kilo, a 15.8x spread, on a shelf whose pack prices cluster near Rs. 400. And the pack ladder runs the wrong way: one brand's 500g honey costs more per kilo than its own 1kg jar.
