IBSAT 2020 Registration, Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Admit Card and Fees

IBSAT is a Management Aptitude Test conducted annually by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad. Eligible candidates with minimum 50% marks in their qualifying examination can apply for postgraduate (MBA, PGPM) and Research Programs (PhD) through IBS Aptitude Test. The IBSAT 2020 application is available both in the offline and online mode. 

Candidates have the facility to apply for IBSAT 2020 from the month of July 2020. Online form will be available at IBSAT website whereas offline forms can be purchased from any of the 50 IBS FTP Branches. The application fee is Rs. 1800 and can be paid online via Debit/ Credit/ Net Banking or as Cash in IBS Marketing Offices.

Candidates having valid GMAT/ NMAT or CAT scores are exempted to appear in IBSAT. Exam Pattern for IBS Aptitude Test is different from that of CAT or other entrance exams. Also, no Reservation Criteria is followed and selection is done entirely on the basis of aptitude score, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

You can apply for a new password by changing the old one from voucher number
You can pay the IBSAT 2020 application fees through credit/debit/net banking
Since, you have already paid in cash in offline mode, hence, you can directly upload the documents once you submit all the required documents.

Processes to Complete IBSAT 2020 Application (Online) Form

Step 1: IBSAT 2020 Registration

The IBSAT 2020 Application Process is common for admission to any of the nine IBS campuses all across India. You can apply online by navigating to the official website of IBSAT or offline as well. In order to get the offline application form, you will have to visit any of the IBS FTP branches near you and get the form. Once you have submitted your form, you will not be able to make any changes to it.

  • Go and check the official website of ICFAI Business School and then apply from the direct link.
  • Select ‘Apply to IBS Admission Test 2020’ option.
  • Provide the detailed information like name of the candidates, contact number, email id and then the verification code.
  • Choose the ‘confirm’ option and then submit the IBSAT 2020 Application form.
  • If you successfully complete the registration process, then you will receive a Registration ID/Number and password. 

Step 2: Login to IBSAT website

When the candidates go to log in, they need to provide their registration ID and password in order to complete the process of IBSAT 2020 application form. Read the below mentioned details you need to provide:

  • Academic details: The aspirants should upload the 10th, 12th and graduation details, including the scores, colleges and school name and roll numbers. 
  • Personal details: The personal details information such as name of the aspirants, date of birth, address, gender and the nationality of the aspirants.
  • Documents: The candidates are required to provide the signature and photograph. 

Step 3: Fee Payment

Once the aspirants complete their IBSAT 2020 registration process, the processing fees would need to pay through:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Nat banking

If you complete the payment method, you should select and click the ‘finish’ button.

Kindly note it down that the IBSAT 2020 Application (online) fee is INR 1800. 

IBSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the IBSAT entrance test, the students must ensure that they strictly abide by the eligibility criteria.

 Eligibility for 2 years MBA program

  • It is mandatory for the students to complete at least 15 years of education by the time they sit for the examination i.e. either 10+2+3 or 10+2+4.
  • The students must have completed their graduation in any course with at least 50% marks from an institution having English as the medium of language.
  • In case the student is not from an institution with English as a medium of communication, he or she will have to submit their English Proficiency Test scores in tests like TOEFL or IELTS.
  • The English Language Proficiency Test scores will have to be submitted by March, 2021.
  • The final year candidates who will be sitting for their final examination in the year 2020 are also eligible for the test.
  • The student will not be permanently allocated a seat unless they provide all their certificates and marksheets. The required documents will have to be submitted by November, 2021.
  • ICFAI will start to verify the eligibility from August, 2021 for IBSAT 2020.

Eligibility for PhD Programme in Management/ Economics

  • The candidates must have completed at least 17 years of education i.e 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2.
  • The students must have completed their graduation with at least 50% overall marks.
  • The institution from which the student graduated must have English as the medium of education. Otherwise, they will have to submit their TOEFL/IELTS scores by March, 2021.
  • The students must have completed a postgraduate course in Management University with at least 55% marks.
  • The students who completed their post-graduation in subjects like Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology must have at least 55% marks in post-graduation. Such students will have to undertake the first year MBA course before they become eligible for the PhD programme. 
  • The students who have completed courses like CA/CS/ICWA are also eligible.
  • For PhD in Economics, students must have at least 50% marks in graduation and post graduation in Economics with at least 55% marks.
  • The eligibility of the candidates will be verified from August, 2021 for IBSAT 2020.

The step wise registration process has been mentioned below:

Step 1: Login to the Official Portal and Basic Registration

  • Navigate to the application portal of IBS
  • On the screen that opens, there will be two boxes labelled Application Number and Password.
  • Fill in the application number and password which is given in your information bulletin. 
  • After that, you will be redirected to the “Change Your Password” section from where you will be able to change your password.
  • Now you will have to login with your new password to carry out the other steps.

Step 2: Complete the Application Profile 

  • Complete your profile by typing in your name, Date of Birth, Citizenship, Gender, Address, Contact Number and Email Address. 
  • Once you click on proceed, you will be able to see your entire profile information.
  • Click on Back if you wish to make any change. Or else click on Submit. 

Step 3: Fill in your Past Academic Records 

  • First, you will have to fill-in the details of your school/high school where you will have to mention the board of education, year of passing, percentage of marks acquired, medium of education and mode of study i.e full-time or part-time.
  • After that you will have to enter your graduation details like title, year of passing, percentage of marks acquired, medium of education and mode of study. If you are still in your final year, then you will have to enter your percentage of marks till the last semester you have given.
  • The graduation details will also include the name of the institution, university, state and city.
  • The PhD students will have to fill-in the details of their post graduation course.
  • Once you have completed this section, click on Proceed. You may also click on Back if you wish to go back. 
  • Click on submit.

Step 4: Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature

  • You will have to upload your full face colored photograph in jpg or gif format.
  • The size of the photograph cannot exceed 25KB.
  • The dimension should be 140-160px.

Step 5: Submit the Application Form

Once you have uploaded the photograph, you will be navigated to the declaration section.

Click on “I Agree” and Submit. Your registration process is complete.

IBSAT 2020 General Application Guidelines

There are a few important instructions which will have to keep in mind before filling up the application form:

  • Make sure that you have a valid email id, phone number and address.
  • You should keep all your mark sheets ready till graduation.
  • The percentage will have to be calculated. So, in case your institution awards GPA, then the marks should be calculated in percentage according to the guidelines.

IBSAT 2020 Admit Card

The Admit Card for IBSAT is released at least one month before the date of examination. It is made available on the official website of IBSAT. Only the registered candidates will be issued an admit card. The students who have incomplete applications will not get any admit card. Admit cards will not be sent to the many candidates via email. Any candidate who does not have their admit card will not be permitted to sit for their examination. It is advised that you keep a copy of your admit card with your future references.

The above mentioned three steps are carried out to grant admission to candidates at the participating colleges. Candidates clearing the aptitude cut off will be called for further admission process. The counselling process will begin shortly after the results have been declared. 

During the time of counselling, the CAT and GMAT score will also be taken into account. Various steps like registration, seat distribution, choice filling and physical reporting at the institution are necessary. Students have to report at the allotted time and venue with all the important documents.
