IBSAT 2020 is a Computer Based Test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. The aptitude test comprises Multiple Choice Questions to be attempted in 2 hours. Candidates ability on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Adequacy, Vocabulary and Analytical Reasoning are tested.
IBSAT 2020 is a common entrance for MBA.PGPM programs to 9 IBS colleges. Registration process can be done online at the official website and offline form can be collected from any of the 50 IBS Marketing Centers. Application form for the IBSAT 2020 session will be available in the first week of July. Interested candidates will have a long window to Register themselves till December Second Week. The Aptitude test will be conducted in the last week of December 2020.
IBSAT 2020 Exam Pattern has 140 questions, Verbal Ability has the maximum 50 Questions followed by 30 questions each in Data Interpretation and Adequacy, Quantitative Ability and Reading Comprehension.1 mark is awarded for each correct answer, whereas there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

Prior commencing the form filling process for IBSAT 2020 candidates are advised to keep the essential documents ready. A valid Email Id, Qualification Documents, Identity Proef (That is to be produced at the exam center as well), Scanned Photograph and Signature along with preferable payment method.
In order to fill IBSAT 2020 Application form hassle free, candidates should use the latest version of web browser like Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla 3.0 and above or Google Chrome 3.0.
Applicants not comfortable with the online application process have the option to register for IBSAT 2020 in offline mode. Following are the steps involved to successfully do the same:
Step 1: Applicants have to purchase the offline form from any one of the IBS Marketing Branches by paying a fee of INR 1800.
Step 2: Applicant Form also contains a Document containing candidates application number and Password.
Step 3: Using the credentials provided, applicants have to login to the online portal and complete the registration process.
Irrespective of Reservation Category and Gender, IBSAT 2020 Application Fee for all the candidates is INR 1800. Candidates filling the Application form either in online mode or offline mode, registration process will be considered successful only after payment of required fee. Since IBS does not provide reservation criteria thus no relaxation is granted in terms of Application fee as other Entrance exams provide.
After the slot booking process is over, IBSAT Admit Card will be made available to download. Slot Booking is mandatory in order to download the admit card. Candidates require their application number and date of birth to access the document. No other login credential or password are required.
Once the registration process is completed, candidates can book their slots, that is they have to select the test date and venue as per their convenience.
IBSAT 2020 Exam is conducted in online mode as a computer based test for a duration of 2 hours. A total of 140 objective type questions are asked in English medium only. 4 sections namely Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation. 1 mark is provided for every correct answer whereas there is no provision of negative marking. It is to be noted that the IBSAT 2020 Exam Pattern lays special emphasis on Verbal Ability section, English proficiency and as a medium of instruction are essential eligibility requirements as well.
Section 1: Verbal Ability
Questions in this section revolve around Analogies, Vocabulary, English Grammar, Punctuation, Missing Words, Para Jumble, Sentence Completion, INcorrect Words Usage of English and so on. THis is the highest scoring section in IBSAT 2020 with a moderate difficulty level.
Section 2: Reading Comprehension
Generally RC passages are included with Verbal Ability but IBSAT 2020 follows a distinct exam pattern and Reading Comprehension finds a separate place with 30 questions asked. There are 3 passages followed by 8 questions and 1 passage with 6 questions. Passages are mostly 500 to 600 words.
Section 3: Quantitative Aptitude
Difficulty level of this section is easy to moderate with question on topics like: Number System, Simplification and Algebra, Speed, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Permutation and Combination, Percentage, Work and Time, Simple Interest, Time and Work, Ratio.
In addition questions are framed on Arithmetic, Geometry and Analytical Geometry as well.
Section 4: Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation
This section is divided into 2, with both the parts consisting of 15 questions each.
Note: Candidates applying to PhD programs through IBSAT 2020 must have completed 17 years of education 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 mode. Along with this English at graduation and postgraduation level is necessary as a medium of instruction. Candidates can provide IELTS/TOEFL Scores to prove their english proficiency. |

Free mock test for IBSAT 2020 Preparation is available on the official website admissions.ibsindia.org. Candidates can practice the Mock Test by verifying their details like Name, Email id, Contact Number, College they belong to and state of domicile.
In total 3 Mock tests are available on the IBS website which helps candidates retail their acquired knowledge through rigorous practice. In addition to the official mock test, several online educational portals provide Mock Test and Sample Paper facility. Moreover, candidates should lay emphasis on previous year question papers of IBSAT 2020. They are readily available online.
Results for IBSAT 2020 will be released online on the official website, access to which can be taken by entering Application number and Password. Along with the results authorities also publish a Merit list. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for further rounds of counselling.
IBS also shortlists candidates on the basis of CAT/ GMAT/ NMAT by GMAC scores of the 2020 session. Such candidates need not appear for IBSAT 2020. The next step in the selection process is Group Discussion on topics provided by the admission board and Personal Interview.
