Because Croma also lists both bodies bare — the Mini 12 at Rs. 7,499 and the Mini 11 at Rs. 5,999 — the film in every bundle can be priced exactly. The Delight Box adds 10 shots for Rs. 500. The Moments Box adds 20 for Rs. 1,000. The Fun Pack to Joy Pack step adds 30 for Rs. 1,500. All three work out at Rs. 50 a shot. Only the Mini 12 Mega Pack breaks it, adding 40 shots for Rs. 1,500 — Rs. 37.50 a shot, and no badge on the page would have told you. Across the rest of the aisle the median discount is 22%, and it tracks brand recognition rather than value: Qubo at 70% and Portronics at 66% at one end, Nikon at 3% and Sony at 2% at the other. more

Sixty-three carried a rating with a review count, and where those counts pool is the finding: the three largest samples in the read — 114, 98 and 98 — are all Puma sneakers, led by the Carina Slim Perf at Rs. 1,800 with 4.2 from 114. At the other end, the deepest badges sit on the thinnest evidence: 85% off on a Truffle Collection heel rated by two people, 75% off on a Red Tape sandal scored 3.0 by three, and 70% off an Aldo sneaker with no rating at all. In between, the shelf keeps demonstrating that price carries no information — Metro sells two beige listings at an identical Rs. 1,618, 35% off the same Rs. 2,490 MRP, where one is rated 4.6 from 24 and the other 4.0 from 11. We read 44 in-stock washing machines, microwaves, dishwashers and water purifiers from Reliance Digital's own listings on July 31, 2026, and held the spec constant to see what the brand premium actually costs. Five 20-litre solo microwaves — the same appliance by any honest definition — run Rs. 4,988 to Rs. 7,990, a 60% spread, and the deepest badge in the read (63%) sits on the cheapest of them. The same Morphy Richards 20 L solo costs Rs. 4,988 in white and Rs. 6,490 in black, declaring different MRPs so the badges never invite the comparison. Four 13-14 place dishwashers run Rs. 26,290 to Rs. 58,087 — Rs. 1,878 to Rs. 4,149 per place setting — while the Siemens wears the read's smallest badge, 6%, because real prices leave no room for theatre. In laundry the 46% badge belongs to a Foxsky; Samsung and LG run 13-32%. And in purifiers, an Aquaguard with hot-water dispensing costs Rs. 1,491 less than the same machine without it. more

The result is hard to unsee. Nine listings sell at exactly Rs. 750 and their discounts read 85%, 75%, 70% and 50% — because POSHAX declares an MRP of Rs. 4,999, Vogaan declares Rs. 2,999, Buda Jeans Co declares Rs. 2,499 and John Players Jeans declares Rs. 1,499. Seven listings sell at exactly Rs. 600 with badges of 85%, 80%, 76% and 70%. The badge is arithmetic on a number the seller chose. Two labels behave differently: NETPLAY and DNMX, both Reliance's own, discount at exactly 49% or exactly 29% across 26 listings with nothing in between — the one place on this shelf where a deeper badge reliably means a bigger reduction. We read all 129 in-stock listings on Libas's own site on July 31, 2026 — five weeks before Raksha Bandhan opens the festive season — and found a store that prices in tiers and lets the MRPs do the theatre. Seven silk-blend suits sell at exactly Rs. 2,619, declaring MRPs from Rs. 5,299 to Rs. 9,149, so their badges run 51% to 71% on identical money. Five printed suits share Rs. 1,649, four declaring an identical Rs. 4,499 — the store's only perfectly uniform shelf. The Gerua sub-brand runs its own tiers at Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 1,399, putting three complete festive suits under Rs. 4,200. And the categories discount by their clearance pressure, not their badges: suits at a median near 60%, sarees at 40% because the six-yard format neither sizes nor dates, and the Libas Art occasion line at 16-47% — the Rs. 12,599 net lehenga, the priciest item in the read, gets 16%. July is when this shelf is stocked, sized and quiet; from mid-August it will not be. more

We read all 35 in-stock men's joggers, shorts and track pants on Bewakoof's own category pages on July 31, 2026, and every single listing scored between 4.4 and 4.6 — a band so narrow the ratings cannot tell any two garments apart. So we read the review counts instead, and they read like a sales census. The five largest crowds in the read — 966, 956, 908, 906 and 893 — all sit on brown or green garments, while plain black and navy poll in the four-hundreds. The most-bought thing on the shelf is a Rs. 679 pair of mole brown oversized shorts. Meanwhile the pricing runs its own theatre: ten listings share one price, Rs. 899, with stated MRPs from Rs. 1,799 to Rs. 2,749 producing badges of 50% to 67% on identical money — one brand declaring four different MRPs for garments it sells at one price. We read 76 in-stock womenswear, kids' and lingerie listings from Marks & Spencer India's own site on July 31, 2026, and found a shelf that runs on exactly six discount rates: 60% covers 46 listings, 70% covers 13, 50% covers 9, 20% covers 6, and the 80% and 15% rates have one listing each. Follow a single MRP through that ladder and the architecture shows itself — sixteen listings declare the identical Rs. 2,499 and sell at Rs. 500, Rs. 750, Rs. 1,000, Rs. 1,250 and Rs. 1,999. The sharpest finding sits at the ladder's two ends: the same Flexifit lace non-wired bralette is 80% off at Rs. 500 in A-E sizes and 20% off at Rs. 1,999 in F-H sizes. Same garment, same declared MRP, and the size range alone moves the price by a factor of four — with neither listing referencing the other. The 70% rack clears the trend stock in linen and velvet; the 60% rate is simply the store's default state; and the 20% rung marks current stock beginning its descent. more

The half-price shelf holds just three bags, two with crowds in the hundreds at 4.7 and 4.8. And one bag, the Classic 3 Bar Logo Backpack, is live twice on the same storefront: Rs. 1,750 at 30% off and Rs. 2,499 at full price, both showing the same 4.8 from 72 because the rating belongs to the bag. Identical powder, identical price, a thousand rupees of declared-MRP spread manufacturing the badges. The 11 lb repeats it at Rs. 4,709 (27% vs 4%), WrathX pre-workout at Rs. 1,499 (20% vs 3%), PRE 200 at Rs. 639 (15% vs 4%). Meanwhile the honest numbers hide in plain sight: the size ladders price like commodities should (Rs. 504 down to Rs. 428 a pound as gainer jars grow), and on the creatine shelf — 4.5 from 19,436 ratings, the biggest crowd we have seen — the flavoured jars simply contain more powder than unflavoured ones at the same price: 320 g vs 250 g at Rs. 999. more

We read 197 in-stock Croma listings from the retailer's own search API on July 30, 2026 — gaming laptops, consoles, monitors, soundbars, party speakers, headsets and streaming devices — and then counted the listings with no discount at all. There were 54, and they are not a random 54. Twenty-two of the twenty-three PlayStation listings were priced at exactly MRP, every capacity and every bundle. All six Sonos listings were at exactly MRP. Bose managed 0%, 0%, 1% and 5% across four. The most expensive item in the whole read, at Rs. 1,09,999, carries no badge. The deepest badge we found, 94% off, sits on the cheapest object we found: a gaming headset at Rs. 104. Three listings were priced above their own stated MRP, including a laptop at Rs. 96,990 against a stated Rs. 94,933. And the largest rating sample across all 197 listings — 181 — belongs to a Rs. 1,794 streaming stick, while a Rs. 54,990 console carries nine. Twenty-one picks. more
We read 131 in-stock Reliance Digital kitchen listings from the retailer's own product pages on July 30, 2026 — mixers, cooktops, kettles, air fryers, dishwashers, chimneys, refrigerators and washing machines — and grouped them by brand. The badge sorted itself. Median discounts: Philips 18%, Samsung 20%, LG 22%, Prestige 27%, Butterfly 31%, Havells 35%, Bajaj 38%, Kelvinator 42%, Wonderchef 50%, Kutchina 51%, Fabiano 65%. The mixer grinder shelf then gave us a control experiment: seven machines doing one job at Rs. 8,459, Rs. 6,849, Rs. 5,449, Rs. 2,399, Rs. 1,499, Rs. 1,199 and Rs. 1,329, carrying badges of 15%, 24%, 38%, 54%, 62%, 71% and 78%. The badge is close to a straight inverse of the price — and the 78% machine has 100 fewer watts and one fewer jar than the 71% one while costing Rs. 130 more. The kettle shelf repeats it for Rs. 549. Reliance Digital returned no ratings for any listing, so this page shows no rating pills. more
We read 71 in-stock Hammer listings from the brand's own product feed on July 30, 2026 — earbuds, neckbands, headphones, smartwatches, speakers, chargers, cables, power banks and electric toothbrushes. Seventy of the 71 carry a discount and the median is 76%, the deepest of any shelf we read this week. That is possible because only 23 distinct stated MRPs cover the whole catalogue, clustered on round numbers: Rs. 999, Rs. 1,999, Rs. 2,499, Rs. 4,999, Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 8,999 account for most of it. Each tier then covers unrelated products at unrelated prices. A stated Rs. 999 sits on charging cables selling at Rs. 199 and on a wireless neckband at Rs. 499. A stated Rs. 2,499 covers a neckband at Rs. 399, earbuds at Rs. 599, a speaker at Rs. 699, an electric toothbrush at Rs. 799, ANC earbuds at Rs. 999 and a 20,000 mAh power bank at Rs. 1,499 — badges from 84% to 40%. Within every tier the badge shrinks as the product improves. more
We read 233 in-stock Tata CLiQ listings across watches, sunglasses, wallets and fragrance from the marketplace's own search responses on July 30, 2026, then sorted them by whether their star rating had a review count behind it. Forty-three listings returned both a rating and a count: median discount 20%. One hundred and four displayed a rating with no count at all: median discount 40%. Forty of those show a flawless 5.0 with nobody behind it. The brands sort the same way — Casio appeared eleven times and every listing was at exactly zero per cent off, Titan's median was zero, Ray-Ban's and Seiko's ten per cent, against Timex at 60% across 37 listings and a French Connection smartwatch at 85% off a stated Rs. 12,995. Nine Timex iConnect watches share one price of Rs. 1,995, one stated MRP of Rs. 5,495 and one 64% badge, while displaying ratings from 1.0 to 5.0 with no counts.
