205 tableware listings read on August 12. Eighty-eight are sets, and per piece the shelf runs 40x apart - Rs. 30 to Rs. 1,187. Twenty picks.
We read 205 Tata CLiQ dinnerware, glassware and storage listings on August 12, 2026 and seated 20. Eighty-eight of them are multi-piece sets, so the tile price tells you about the box rather than the object: per piece this shelf runs from Rs. 30 to Rs. 1,187 against a median of Rs. 174. The house labels discount a median 46 to 52 per cent while Corelle, Borosil and Clay Craft move 5 to 13. Eighty-two rows carry a rating, at a median of one vote.
Every price below was pulled from Tata CLiQ on August 12, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Tata CLiQ coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: divide every set by its piece count before you compare anything, because 88 of the 205 listings here are sets and the per-piece range is 40x wide. Second: read the badge as a label for the company - the house brands on this shelf discount a median 46 to 52 per cent and the heritage glass names 5 to 13, the same split we found across the cookware shelf. Third: ignore the stars entirely, because 28 listings here show a 5.0 built on one vote and the largest sample in the whole read is 24 - the same evidence problem we documented in an earlier Tata CLiQ read. Fourth: check the material rule before the price - melamine never goes in a microwave, engineered wood does not survive condensation, and hand-painted overglaze is usually not dishwasher safe. Fifth: check the stated volume on bowls and flasks, because a "serving bowl" here can be a 260ml katori.

Eighty-eight of the 205 listings in this read are multi-piece sets, so the price on the tile is a box price rather than a product price. Per piece, the shelf runs from Rs. 30 to Rs. 1,187 against a median of Rs. 174 - a 40x range. A 36-piece steel cutlery set at Rs. 1,269 works out at Rs. 35 a piece; a two-piece ceramic serving bowl set at Rs. 1,490 works out at Rs. 745. On this page the clearest case sits in two adjacent picks: six tempered glass plates at Rs. 181 each, and one ceramic plate at Rs. 1,118, at the identical 25 per cent badge.
The house and marketplace labels here discount hardest - Goodhomes at 21 listings and a median 52 per cent, HAZEL at 21 and 46, ExclusiveLane at 9 and 47 - while the established glass and ceramic names barely move: Corelle at 13 per cent across 8 listings, Borosil at 5 across 4, Clay Craft at 5 across 5, Wewood at 5 across 4. The deepest badge in the whole read, 74 per cent, sits on a house-label porcelain tray. So a shopper sorting this shelf by discount is sorting it by who owns the brand, and we group the page by price band instead and name each brand's own median.
Eighty-two of the 205 rows carry a rating and the median rating count among them is exactly one. Twenty-eight listings show a perfect 5.0 built on a single vote, and the largest sample anywhere in the read is 24. That is not evidence in any useful sense, and printing a five-star pill on it would be a lie of presentation rather than of fact. We quote every rating and its count in the specification line so the thinness is visible, and we rank on none of them - which in tableware matters less than usual, because the things that decide a purchase here are material, piece count and dimensions rather than consensus.
Every material on this shelf has one rule that decides whether the object survives. Melamine must never go in a microwave. Engineered wood does not survive standing water or condensation. Hand-applied overglaze is frequently not dishwasher safe. Vitrelle resists chipping but shatters completely. Glass is the only lunch-box material that can safely be reheated in. A vacuum flask has no repair once its seal goes. None of that is in a headline and most of it is not in the listing at all, so we state it on the card and say plainly where a listing does not tell you what you need to know.
Divide by the piece count first, always. In our August 12, 2026 read of 205 Tata CLiQ tableware listings, 88 were multi-piece sets, which means the price on the tile is describing a box rather than a product - and the moment you divide, the shelf reorders completely. Per piece it runs from Rs. 30 to Rs. 1,187 against a median of Rs. 174, a 40x range. Two picks on this page sit side by side and make the point exactly: six Duralex tempered glass plates at Rs. 1,087 work out at Rs. 181 each, while a single Ellementry ceramic dinner plate is Rs. 1,118 - and both carry the same 25 per cent discount badge. Neither is wrong to buy; the ceramic is heavier, warmer and hand-finished. But one of them is six plates and the other is one, and the tile price does not tell you that.
Because the discount on this shelf tracks who owns the brand rather than what the object is. In our read the house and marketplace labels ran deep - Goodhomes at a median 52 per cent across 21 listings, HAZEL at 46 across 21, ExclusiveLane at 47 across 9 - while the established glass and ceramic names barely moved: Corelle at a median 13 per cent, Borosil at 5, Clay Craft at 5, Wewood at 5. The deepest badge in the whole read, 74 per cent, sat on a house-label porcelain tray. A label that sets its own MRP can set it high and discount from there; a manufacturer selling the same product through a hundred other retailers cannot. The practical consequence is that a 5 per cent badge on a Borosil bottle is closer to a real price than a 74 per cent badge on an unfamiliar name, and sorting this shelf by discount just sorts it by brand ownership.
No, and the numbers explain why. Eighty-two of the 205 rows in our read carried a rating, and the median rating count among them was exactly one vote. Twenty-eight listings displayed a perfect 5.0 built on a single rating, and the largest sample anywhere in the entire read was 24. A five-star average on one vote carries no more information than no rating at all, and displaying it as a star pill would be misleading, which is why no pick on this page has one. What to use instead: the material and its known limits, the stated dimensions or volume, and the piece count. In tableware those three facts decide almost everything, and unlike the ratings they are actually in the listing - though not always. Where a listing omits a volume or a material limit, treat that as a reason for caution.
Four rules cover most of this shelf. Melamine must never go in a microwave - heating the resin can release formaldehyde into food - so it is serveware and picnic ware only, however durable it feels. Engineered wood, used in most budget coasters and trays, delaminates with standing water and condensation, which makes it a poor coaster in an Indian August. Hand-painted ceramic with overglaze decoration is frequently not dishwasher safe and the listings often do not say, so hand-wash unless it explicitly claims otherwise. And glass is the only lunch-box material you can safely reheat food in, which is the case for paying more for one over plastic. One positive note: Vitrelle, the laminated glass Corelle uses, is microwave and dishwasher safe and resists chipping far better than ceramic - though when it does break it shatters completely rather than chipping.
On pure arithmetic, the Duralex set of six tempered glass plates at Rs. 1,087 - Rs. 181 a plate for a French-made glass that is designed to be stacked, dropped and dishwashed daily, and the single best per-piece price for a dinner plate in the read. For cutlery, the FnS set of six stainless forks at Rs. 284 is Rs. 47 a piece and the cheapest object we seated; judge it by weight on arrival, since no listing here states its steel grade. For a lunch box, the Signoraware glass box at Rs. 899 is the only material on this page you can reheat in. And if you want four matching plates rather than six, the Goodhomes stoneware set at Rs. 1,047 is Rs. 262 a piece for a denser, warmer-looking body than glass - just expect it to chip at the rim eventually.
