Tata CLiQ and Vijay Sales both sell watches, and we read a shelf from each within the same few minutes on 27 October 2026 - 73 analog and fashion listings from one, 27 smartwatch listings from the other, logged out, from India, with nothing bought.
One brand is on both shelves, and its badge differs by up to 45 points at almost identical money. At the other end, both retailers do exactly the same thing: above Rs. 20,000 the discount almost disappears. Here is every figure.
📅 Update log:
27 Oct 2026: first published. Every selling price, stated MRP and percentage on this page was read from tatacliq.com's own search data (queries "watch men" and "watch women") and vijaysales.com's own smartwatch listing page on 27 October 2026, logged out, from India, within the same few minutes so the two shelves are comparable. Nothing was bought, no watch was handled, worn or tested, and no accuracy, battery or water-resistance claim was verified.
Tata CLiQ and Vijay Sales both sell watches, and we read a shelf from each within the same few minutes on 27 October 2026 - 73 analog and fashion watches from Tata CLiQ's own search data, 27 smartwatches from Vijay Sales' own listing pages, logged out, from India, with nothing bought.
They are not the same category, and this page does not pretend they are. What makes them worth reading together is that one brand appears on both shelves - and that the two retailers do the same thing at the top of the price range.
The two shelves, side by side
| Tata CLiQ (analog) | Vijay Sales (smart) |
|---|
| Listings read | 73 | 27 |
| What the shelf sells | analog and fashion watches | smartwatches |
| Selling price range | Rs. 942 – Rs. 42,655 | Rs. 1,599 – Rs. 31,490 |
| Median selling price | Rs. 8,695 | Rs. 2,799 |
| Discount badge range | 5% – 78% | 7% – 75% |
| Median badge | 30% | 42% |
| Listings badged 10% or less | 10 of 73 | 4 of 27 |
| Listings badged 60% or more | 11 of 73 | 12 of 27 |
| Star rating or review count published | 24 of 73 | none of 27 |
Vijay Sales' shelf is cheaper and more deeply discounted: a median price of Rs. 2,799 against Rs. 8,695, and a median badge of 42% against 30%. Nearly half its listings (12 of 27) are badged 60% or more, against 11 of 73 on Tata CLiQ.
But neither shelf discounts the expensive end. Ten Tata CLiQ listings are badged 10% or less, and nine of those ten cost more than Rs. 20,000 (the exception is a Rs. 9,896 Anne Klein at 10%). All four of Vijay Sales' shallowest listings are at Rs. 9,999 or above.
One brand, two retailers, up to 45 badge points apart
Fastrack is on both shelves. On Tata CLiQ it sells analog watches; on Vijay Sales it sells smartwatches. The prices are close. The badges are not close at all.
| Retailer | Listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge |
|---|
| Tata CLiQ | Fastrack Vyb FV30060QM01W Limitless analog | Rs. 2,195 | Rs. 3,135 | 30% |
| Tata CLiQ | Fastrack Vyb FV30052NM01W Horizon analog | Rs. 1,975 | Rs. 2,820 | 30% |
| Tata CLiQ | Vyb by Fastrack Iconiqu FV60014WM01W analog | Rs. 1,750 | Rs. 2,500 | 30% |
| Tata CLiQ | Fastrack FV60083WM02W Vyb analog | Rs. 1,995 | Rs. 2,850 | 30% |
| Tata CLiQ | Fastrack 6147QM01F analog | Rs. 3,006 | Rs. 4,295 | 30% |
| Vijay Sales | Fastrack Reflex Play smartwatch | Rs. 1,999 | Rs. 7,995 | 75% |
| Vijay Sales | Fastrack Reflex Power smartwatch | Rs. 1,999 | Rs. 7,995 | 75% |
| Vijay Sales | Fastrack Reflex Horizon smartwatch | Rs. 1,699 | Rs. 5,995 | 72% |
| Vijay Sales | Fastrack Limitless X smartwatch | Rs. 1,999 | Rs. 3,995 | 50% |
All five Fastrack listings on Tata CLiQ are badged exactly 30% - not one of them varies. All four on Vijay Sales are badged 50% or more, three of them 72% or 75%. The money is almost identical: Rs. 1,750 to Rs. 3,006 on one shelf, Rs. 1,699 to Rs. 1,999 on the other.
What differs is the stated MRP. A Rs. 1,999 Fastrack analog would state around Rs. 2,850 on Tata CLiQ; a Rs. 1,999 Fastrack smartwatch states Rs. 7,995 on Vijay Sales. These are different products in different categories, so this is not a like-for-like model comparison and nothing here suggests either figure is improper - it is a demonstration that a badge is a property of the listing, not of the brand.
The practical version: if you are comparing a 30% analog watch against a 75% smartwatch, you are comparing two stated MRPs, not two savings. Both cost about Rs. 2,000.
Above Rs. 20,000, the badge collapses on both shelves
| Retailer | Listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Note |
|---|
| Tata CLiQ | Citizen EM1100-84D Eco-Drive | Rs. 42,655 | Rs. 44,900 | 5% | dearest listing in either read |
| Tata CLiQ | Seiko SRPD63K1 5 Sports | Rs. 36,000 | Rs. 40,000 | 10% | one of five Seikos at this exact price |
| Tata CLiQ | Citizen NJ0210-56A Automatic | Rs. 35,718 | Rs. 39,900 | 10% | — |
| Tata CLiQ | CIGA DESIGN | Rs. 33,820 | Rs. 37,999 | 11% | both CIGA listings are exactly 11% |
| Vijay Sales | Apple Watch SE 3 GPS 44mm Midnight | Rs. 31,490 | Rs. 33,900 | 7% | all three Apple listings are exactly 7% |
| Tata CLiQ | Seiko SRPE53K1 Sport 5 | Rs. 31,500 | Rs. 35,000 | 10% | — |
| Tata CLiQ | Maserati | Rs. 30,840 | Rs. 51,400 | 40% | the one exception above Rs. 30,000 |
| Vijay Sales | Apple Watch SE 3 GPS 40mm Midnight | Rs. 27,790 | Rs. 29,900 | 7% | — |
Tata CLiQ's six Seiko listings are badged exactly 10%, every one, at Rs. 31,500 to Rs. 36,000. Its three Citizens run 5% to 10%. Both CIGA DESIGN listings are exactly 11%. Vijay Sales' three Apple Watch listings are badged exactly 7%, every one, at Rs. 27,790 to Rs. 31,490.
Of the seventeen Tata CLiQ listings above Rs. 20,000, eleven are badged 11% or less. The single exception above Rs. 30,000 is a Maserati at 40%. On Vijay Sales, every listing above Rs. 10,000 is an Apple Watch at 7%.
And at the cheap end, it is the opposite
| Retailer | Listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Note |
|---|
| Tata CLiQ | French Connection FCN0189SRTM analog | Rs. 3,499 | Rs. 15,995 | 78% | deepest badge in either read |
| Tata CLiQ | Joker & Witch | Rs. 1,034 | Rs. 4,495 | 77% | both listings from this brand are 77% |
| Tata CLiQ | Daniel Klein | Rs. 1,785 | Rs. 7,440 | 76% | — |
| Vijay Sales | Fastrack Reflex Play smartwatch | Rs. 1,999 | Rs. 7,995 | 75% | the same brand badged 30% on Tata CLiQ |
| Vijay Sales | Noise NoiseFit Mettle | Rs. 2,199 | Rs. 7,999 | 73% | — |
| Vijay Sales | boAt Storm Infinity | Rs. 1,799 | Rs. 5,999 | 70% | — |
| Vijay Sales | boAt Ultima Vogue 2 | Rs. 2,799 | Rs. 7,999 | 65% | three identical listings at this price |
| Tata CLiQ | Timex iConnect Power | Rs. 1,898 | Rs. 4,995 | 62% | a smartwatch on the Tata CLiQ shelf |
| Tata CLiQ | Titan | Rs. 942 | Rs. 1,240 | 24% | cheapest listing in either read |
The deepest badge in either read is 78%, on a Rs. 3,499 fashion watch stating an MRP of Rs. 15,995. All five listings from that brand on Tata CLiQ are badged 53% to 78%. The cheapest listing in either read, a Rs. 942 Titan, is badged 24% - which is a reminder that cheap and deeply discounted are not the same thing.
Tata CLiQ's own shelf contains both patterns at once. The same 73 listings hold a 78% fashion watch and a 5% Citizen. The badge is tracking which tier of the market a listing sits in, not which retailer is selling it.
Neither shelf gives you much to go on besides price
Vijay Sales publishes no star average and no rating count on any of the 27 smartwatch listings in this read. Tata CLiQ publishes one on 24 of its 73, and those pools are small - on the wider Tata CLiQ accessories shelves we read the same day, the median rating count was 3.
So on both shelves the usable information is the selling price, the stated MRP and the model name. We report the absence of ratings as an absence, which is not evidence about quality in either direction.
What to actually do with this
- Compare the selling price, not the percentage. A 30% Fastrack and a 75% Fastrack in this read cost Rs. 1,995 and Rs. 1,999.
- Expect single-digit badges above Rs. 20,000. Seiko, Citizen and Apple all sit at 5% to 10% here, and waiting for a deep cut on those names is waiting for something these shelves do not do.
- Check the stated MRP's multiple of the price. A Rs. 3,499 watch stating Rs. 15,995 is a 4.6x claim; a Rs. 36,000 watch stating Rs. 40,000 is 1.1x. Both are published figures and neither is alleged to be improper - but they are doing very different jobs.
- Do not expect reviews to break the tie. One shelf publishes no ratings at all and the other publishes them on a third of its listings.
Categories differ: Tata CLiQ's shelf here is analog and fashion watches (with a handful of Timex smart models), and Vijay Sales' is smartwatches only. These are different products with different lifespans and different uses. This page compares how each shelf is priced and badged, not which watch is better.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Tata CLiQ or Vijay Sales cheaper for watches in October 2026?
They sell different things, so the honest answer is that the shelves are not interchangeable. In this read Vijay Sales' smartwatch shelf had a median price of Rs. 2,799 and Tata CLiQ's analog shelf a median of Rs. 8,695, which reflects the categories rather than the retailers. At the top end they behave almost identically: Tata CLiQ's Seikos are badged 10%, Vijay Sales' Apple Watches 7%.
Why is the same Fastrack discounted 30% on one site and 75% on another?
Because they are different products with different stated MRPs. Fastrack's five analog watches on Tata CLiQ are badged exactly 30% at Rs. 1,750 to Rs. 3,006; its four smartwatches on Vijay Sales are badged 50% to 75% at Rs. 1,699 to Rs. 1,999. The selling prices are nearly the same; the stated MRPs are Rs. 2,500-Rs. 4,295 against Rs. 3,995-Rs. 7,995. The badge is a property of the individual listing, and nothing here suggests either figure is false or improper.
Do Seiko, Citizen or Apple watches ever get big discounts?
Not on these shelves. All six Seiko listings in the Tata CLiQ read are badged exactly 10%, all three Apple Watch listings on Vijay Sales exactly 7%, and Citizen runs 5% to 10%. Across both reads, every listing above Rs. 30,000 is badged 11% or less with a single exception - a Maserati at 40%. If you are waiting for 50% off a Seiko on a shelf like this, nothing in this read suggests it happens.
What is the deepest watch discount in this read?
78%, on a Rs. 3,499 French Connection analog watch stating an MRP of Rs. 15,995 - a 4.6x claim. All five listings from that brand in the Tata CLiQ read are badged between 53% and 78%. On the Vijay Sales side the deepest is 75%, on a Rs. 1,999 Fastrack smartwatch stating Rs. 7,995. The cheapest listing in either read, a Rs. 942 Titan, is badged only 24%.
Do these watch listings have ratings and reviews?
Barely, and on one shelf not at all. Vijay Sales publishes no star average and no rating count on any of the 27 smartwatch listings in this read. Tata CLiQ publishes one on 24 of its 73, and the pools on its accessories shelves read the same day had a median count of 3. We report the absence as an absence - a listing with no published rating is unproven, not bad - and nothing on this page is ranked on one.
Prices & codes last verified: October 27, 2026
Every selling price, stated MRP, percentage and count on this page was read from tatacliq.com's own search data and vijaysales.com's own smartwatch listing page on 27 October 2026, logged out, from India, within the same few minutes. Nothing was purchased, delivered, handled, worn or tested, and no claim is made about timekeeping accuracy, movement quality, water resistance, battery or power-reserve life, strap durability, display brightness, health-sensor accuracy or warranty service on any model. The two shelves are different product categories - analog and fashion watches on one, smartwatches on the other - and are compared here on how each is priced and badged, not on which watch is better. The 73 and 27 listings were reached by each retailer's own search and listing pages and are not a census of what either sells; results vary by query, ranking, login state, pin code and time of day, and listings are per colourway or strap, so a count of listings is not a count of distinct models. A stated MRP is the figure each listing prints; we report it and compute the percentage from it, but nothing here asserts that any such figure is false or improper, and nothing alleges wrongdoing by Tata CLiQ, by Vijay Sales or by any brand named. Setting different discount percentages for different product categories, price tiers or retail partners is ordinary commercial practice, reported here as published fact. The Fastrack comparison is between different products in different categories, not between two listings of the same model, and is presented to show that a badge belongs to a listing rather than to a brand. Where a shelf publishes no rating we report the absence as an absence, which is not evidence about quality in either direction. Prices change without notice and cart-level offers are not visible in this data - check the live listing before buying. Zoutons may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this page; this does not affect what is written above.
