On Tata CLiQ's women's footwear shelf, the review counts and the theatrical discounts live at opposite ends — and the counts are the only numbers a customer wrote.
We read 135 in-stock women's heels, sandals, wedges and sneakers from Tata CLiQ's own search responses on July 31, 2026, and sixty-three of them carried the only number on a listing that a customer actually wrote: a rating with a review count behind it. Where those counts pool is the shape of this page. The three largest samples in the entire read — a hundred and fourteen, ninety-eight and ninety-eight — belong to three Puma sneakers, led by the Carina Slim Perf at Rs. 1,800, sixty per cent off a stated Rs. 4,499, rated 4.2 by more people than the next four listings combined. Eight of the ten deepest samples sit under just four brands. The crowd, in other words, is not evenly distributed across this shelf; it lives where the white sneakers are, and a buyer who wants evidence should go where it lives. Now walk to the other end. The deepest badge in the read is eighty-five per cent, on a Truffle Collection ankle-strap heel at Rs. 449 — rated by exactly two people. The second-deepest set, a flat seventy-five across all four Red Tape listings, includes a sandal scored 3.0 from three, the worst rating anywhere in the read, sitting directly beneath one of its most dramatic discounts. A 70% badge decorates an Aldo sneaker with no rating at all against a stated MRP of Rs. 14,999. Between the two poles, the shelf keeps offering small, precise lessons in why the price tells you nothing. Metro lists two beige items — a wedge and a sandal — at an identical Rs. 1,618, thirty-five per cent off an identical Rs. 2,490, where the wedge is rated 4.6 from twenty-four and the sandal 4.0 from eleven. Every sorting tool on the page treats them as the same product; the evidence says they are not. And four brands turn out to price by policy rather than by listing: Inc.5 at exactly eleven per cent on all five of its listings, U.S. Polo Assn. in a tight 31-to-40 band, Metro at 35-50, Red Tape at its flat clearance 75. Our earlier reads of Tata CLiQ's rated listings and its brand discount policies found the same machinery on other shelves; this page is that machinery applied to shoes.
Every price below was pulled from Tata CLiQ on July 31, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Tata CLiQ coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Of 63 rated listings in the read, the three largest samples — 114, 98 and 98 — are all Puma sneakers. When evidence pools that hard in one place, buy where it pools.

Two beige Metro listings at exactly Rs. 1,618, 35% off the same Rs. 2,490 MRP — one rated 4.6 from 24, the other 4.0 from 11. The price carries no information; the evidence carries all of it.

Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,618 for Metro's beige wedge — the better-evidenced twin of two identically priced listings.

Why it earned its spot Rs. 540 for Red Tape sandals at 75% off — with the worst score on the page.
Rs. 1,299 against a stated Rs. 5,999 — 78%, and 4.0 from 37 — the one deep badge with evidence behind it.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,299 for a designer-collab sneaker — the exception that proves this chapter's rule.
Rs. 4,490 against a stated Rs. 14,999 — 70%, on the most expensive pick here, with zero published ratings.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 4,490 for Aldo's quilted sneaker — the priciest pick on the page, and no crowd at all.

Why it earned its spot Rs. 2,305 for Inc.5's comfort flats — from the brand that discounts everything at exactly 11%.
Four rules follow from a 135-listing read where the evidence and the badges sit at opposite ends. First: read the count before the score, and both before the price. A 4.2 from 114 is a verdict; a 4.9 from 8 is a signal; a 5.0 from 4 is a coin still in the air. On this shelf that ordering puts a Rs. 1,575 Puma above a Rs. 4,490 Aldo, and it is right. Second: when two listings are priced identically — and on this shelf Metro prices two beige items at the same rupee, the same MRP and the same badge — the review sample is the only tiebreaker that contains information. Open both. It takes ten seconds and on this shelf it is worth six-tenths of a point. Third: learn which brands price by policy. Inc.5's flat 11%, U.S. Polo Assn.'s 31-40 band and Metro's 35-50 band all mean the MRP is close to real and the badge is close to honest; Red Tape's flat 75% and the marketplace labels' 80-85% mean the MRP is doing theatrical work. The flat rate itself is the tell — no negotiation happens listing by listing. Fourth: treat sub-Rs. 600 purchases with double-digit samples as the best risk-adjusted buys in the category. A Rs. 549 wedge that twenty people rate 4.2 has a bounded downside and a verified upside; a Rs. 449 heel with an 85% badge and two ratings is a lottery ticket, which is fine as long as you know you are buying one. Our Tata CLiQ coupon page tracks live codes including TC500, and our TC500 and TATABIGSAVER guide covers what stacks on top of these prices.

Every price, stated MRP, discount, rating and review count on this page comes from Tata CLiQ's own search responses on July 31, 2026 — 135 in-stock women's heels, sandals, wedges and sneakers, spanning Rs. 356 to Rs. 8,709 across 57 distinct stated MRPs. Sixty-three of the 135 carried a rating with a review count; the rest carried either nothing or a star with no sample, which we treat as nothing.
The samples run from 114 down to one, and where they pool is itself the finding: the three largest — 114, 98 and 98 — are all Puma sneakers, and eight of the ten largest sit under just four brands. At the other end, the three deepest badges in the read (85%, 80%, 80%) all belong to Truffle Collection listings with two or three ratings each. On this shelf, the evidence and the theatrical discounts live at opposite ends.
Four do, at four different altitudes. Inc.5 discounts every listing at exactly 11%. Metro holds a 35-50% band with two identical beige listings at Rs. 1,618. U.S. Polo Assn. sits in a tight 31-40% band. And Red Tape runs a flat 75% across all four of its listings — a clearance rate that happens to sit on the worst score in the read, a 3.0 from three. A flat rate means the MRP, not the discount, decides the price; what distinguishes the four brands is how believable their MRPs are.
Every pick that shows a score also shows how many people produced it, because 4.2 from 114 and 4.5 from 2 are different claims — and two picks here (one 3.9, one 3.0) are printed precisely because their scores are unflattering. Where a listing publishes no rating, we say so rather than filling the gap. Stated MRPs are the sellers' own figures, which we report and do not verify. Prices read July 31, 2026, and can change without notice.
By sample size, the Puma Carina Slim Perf at Rs. 1,800 — 60% off a stated Rs. 4,499 — rated 4.2 from 114 people, the largest review sample of the 135 listings we read on July 31, 2026. The Puma Smashic at Rs. 1,575 is close behind with 4.3 from 98 and is Rs. 225 cheaper. By score alone the Campus beige sneaker at Rs. 1,249 shows 4.9 from 16, but a 4.9 from sixteen people is an early signal where a 4.2 from 114 is a verdict — we would buy the Puma.
The percentage is computed from an MRP the seller declares, and on this shelf the deepest badges sat on the thinnest evidence: an 85% Truffle Collection heel rated by two people, a flat 75% across all four Red Tape listings including one scored 3.0, and a 70% Aldo sneaker with no rating against a stated Rs. 14,999. One deep badge did check out — a HOVERSOUL collab sneaker at 78% off with 4.0 from 37 ratings. The badge tells you nothing by itself; the review count is the number to check.
They are sister chains under Metro Brands with near-identical pricing, so choose by listing rather than by name. In our read Metro held a 35-50% band and priced two beige listings identically at Rs. 1,618 (35% off Rs. 2,490) — the wedge rated 4.6 from 24 and the sandal 4.0 from 11, so open both before buying. Mochi's gold slingback at Rs. 1,494, 40% off with 4.6 from 19 ratings, was the best-evidenced occasion shoe in the read and undercuts both Metro twins.
The two Trase wedges — cream at Rs. 549 (4.2 from 20 ratings) and brown at Rs. 519 (4.2 from 15) — are the only sub-Rs. 800 listings in our read where price, discount and evidence all hold together. Carlton London's off-white flip-flops at Rs. 674 (4.3 from 9) add brand history to a thinner sample. The Styli tan sandal at Rs. 769 carries only a 19% badge but 4.3 from 19 ratings — a small discount on a fairly priced shoe beats a deep discount on an unrated one.
Because discounts attach to individual listings, not to models. In our read the Puma Carina 2.0 was Rs. 2,150 in white (57% off) and Rs. 2,250 in black (55% off) against the same stated Rs. 4,999, with review samples of 31 and 30 — effectively one shoe's crowd split by colourway. Metro's beige wedge and beige sandal inverted the trick, sharing one price with different ratings. Search the model name, open every colourway, and compare the selling prices; nothing on a single listing will show you the spread.
