Sale-status questions are the hardest to answer from search results, because most articles were written before the sale started. So this page does the simple thing: it records what the live amazon.in homepage showed when we loaded it on 19 October 2026, separates what we saw from what we could not confirm, and gets updated whenever that changes.
| What we checked | What the live page showed (19 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|
| Sale status | Homepage badge reads "Great Indian Festival | Live Now" |
| Bank offer | SBI 10% instant discount shown on the festival deal tiles |
| Fashion and home tiles | Bags and backpacks under Rs. 499, kurtas under Rs. 299, jeans under Rs. 399, bedsheets under Rs. 499, laundry care under Rs. 299 (all marked T&C apply) |
| Kitchen | "Festive kitchen essentials" with a "biggest price drop in 90 days" tag |
| Books | Trending fiction from Rs. 99 and BookTok favourites under Rs. 499 |
| End date | No end date visible on the homepage; none found in coverage of the announcement |
Amazon's own announcement put the start at 12 a.m. on October 8, 2026. We found no official end date. Earlier sale-calendar guesses (October 18, October 31) were estimates published before the start was confirmed, so we are not relying on them. The practical test is simple: if the homepage still says Live Now, the festival pricing is still being served.
For the broader festive picture, including when other stores' sales run, see our Diwali 2026 shopping calendar, and for the original announcement coverage, the Amazon Great Indian Festival guide.
The SBI card offer is the one bank deal printed on today's tiles. The cap and minimum-spend terms are not shown on the homepage, so we are not quoting them here: read the offer terms on the product page or at the payment step before you rely on it. The offer is not a coupon; it is applied automatically at payment when an eligible SBI card is selected. Our Amazon bank offers page tracks the full card-offer set.
Amazon's Prime page lists three plans as of today: Prime Shopping Edition at Rs. 399 a year, Prime Lite at Rs. 799 a year, and full Prime at Rs. 299 a month or Rs. 1,499 a year. All three include delivery benefits; the page lists video, music and reading benefits against the higher tiers. If you mostly shop, the Shopping Edition is the cheapest way in. Our Prime plans guide compares them in detail.
For category-specific price lists, our live-sale pages cover TVs, mobiles and tablets.
The Amazon Great Indian Festival is live today and the SBI 10% instant discount is still being advertised. There is no published end date, so do not wait on a specific day: if you have a purchase planned and the price beats other stores, buy it, and re-check this page, which we update whenever the homepage status changes.
Everything on this page was read from the stores' own rendered pages and policy pages on October 19, 2026 by the Zoutons deals desk; we re-read and update it as sales change. Where a figure was not published, we say so rather than guess. Zoutons may earn a commission when you shop through links on this page.
