One board charges Rs. 19.90 for each socket you plug into. Another charges Rs. 348. Sorting by price and sorting by sockets give you two different shelves.
We read Amazon India's own extension board results on 7 November 2026 and divided each price by the socket count the seller prints in its own title. The 52 listings that state one run from Rs. 19.90 to Rs. 348.00 a socket, a seventeenfold spread on a product whose only real unit is the socket. And five listings state a list price exactly one hundred times what they charge — Rs. 949 against Rs. 94,900 — which is where every 99% badge on this shelf comes from.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on November 7, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Why it earned its spot Rs. 349, the identical price to the Anchor above, for the identical 4 sockets — Rs. 87.20 a socket — but against a stated Rs. 814 rather than Rs. 629, so it badges 57% instead of 45%.
Amazon runs bank offers, coupon clips and Lightning Deals that change by hour and by card, and this read was made logged out, so none of them is in any price here. Divide the price by the socket count before you compare anything — it reorders this shelf completely, and the board that looks expensive is often the cheaper one to actually plug into. Treat any badge above 90% as noise: every 99% on this shelf traces to a stated price exactly 100 times the selling price. Check whether USB and Type-C ports are part of what you are paying for, because the dearest boards per socket are the ones bundling them. Check the cord length — one seller here prices three otherwise identical boards at Rs. 807, Rs. 831 and Rs. 1,609 by metres of cable alone. And on a mains-voltage product carrying real current, check for an ISI mark, the load rating and the warranty before you let a Rs. 19.90-a-socket price decide for you.

Each selling price, stated list price, badge, star average and review count was read from amazon.in's own search results for "extension board", "extension board 6 socket" and "spike guard" on 7 November 2026, logged out, from India, with sponsored placements dropped and nothing bought. 141 result rows were returned; 99 are distinct listings; 20 are seated.
52 of the 99 listings state a socket count in the title, and the per-socket figure is the selling price divided by that stated count. Listings whose titles give a plug type rather than a socket count, and chargers whose AC sockets are incidental to their USB ports, were excluded from the division rather than guessed at. The range is Rs. 19.90 to Rs. 348.00, median Rs. 127.40.
Five listings state a list price that is exactly one hundred times their selling price, from three unrelated sellers, and all five are seated here so the multiple can be checked. This page does not allege any of them is false — it reports what the listings state and what exactly 100x usually indicates.
Several of the dearest boards per socket bundle USB and Type-C ports, and one is priced by cord length rather than sockets, so the unit figure understates what they offer. That is flagged on each card rather than smoothed over. Nothing here was plugged in, loaded or tested, and no ISI marking was verified.
On a read of amazon.in's own results on 7 November 2026, the 52 listings that state a socket count ran from Rs. 19.90 to Rs. 348.00 a socket, median Rs. 127.40. Headline prices ran Rs. 139 to Rs. 1,999, median Rs. 559. Below roughly Rs. 50 a socket you are almost always looking at an unbranded board with a single-digit review count; Anchor by Panasonic at Rs. 83 and Rs. 87.20 a socket and Havells at Rs. 120.80 show that a known brand does not have to cost the most per socket. Prices move daily, so check the live page.
In this read, every 99% badge came from a stated list price that was exactly one hundred times the selling price. Rs. 949 against a stated Rs. 94,900; Rs. 699 against Rs. 69,900; Rs. 499 against Rs. 49,900; Rs. 370 against Rs. 37,000; Rs. 145 against Rs. 14,500. No extension board sells for Rs. 94,900, and landing on exactly 100x five times across three unrelated sellers points at how the figure was entered rather than at a real former price. Treat a 99% badge on this shelf as no information at all and compare the rupee price.
Usually on this shelf, but not automatically. A Rs. 1,499 Honeywell with 8 sockets works out at Rs. 187.40 a socket while a Rs. 1,044 URBN with 3 works out at Rs. 348. The exceptions are worth knowing: the URBN bundles 3 USB and Type-C ports alongside its 3 sockets, and a FEDUS board at Rs. 1,609 is priced for its 10-metre cord, not its 6 sockets — the same FEDUS board sells at Rs. 807 and Rs. 831 in shorter lengths on one shared rating pool. Decide what you are buying before you divide.
The brands you already recognise. In this read Anchor by Panasonic medians 39% off across 9 listings, Cablet 38% across 4, GM 44% across 10 and Goldmedal 49% across 8, while EMBOX medians 63% across 8 and Digiway 70% across 3. The split is not about price — an Anchor board at Rs. 349 undercuts several deeper-badged listings on the same shelf. It is a split in how large a reference price each seller prints.
Rs. 2,499 is the stated list price on seven separate listings in this read, Rs. 999 on seven, and Rs. 1,499 on six — so more than a fifth of the shelf measures itself against one of three round numbers. Within the Rs. 2,499 group the selling prices run Rs. 989 to Rs. 1,699, which means the badge inside that group is simply the price restated in reverse. Two otherwise identical Rs. 349 four-socket boards on this page badge 45% and 57% purely because one prints Rs. 629 above itself and the other prints Rs. 814.
