Drills print their model codes in the listing title, which makes this one of the few shelves where two retailers can be compared honestly. Five codes appear on both — and the direction never flips.
📅 Update log:
7 November 2026: first published. Amazon figures read from amazon.in's own search results via scrapling with sponsored placements dropped; Flipkart figures from flipkart.com's own search data. Both read the same morning, logged out, from India, with nothing bought and no bank offer or coupon applied.
Power tools are one of the few shelves where a like-for-like comparison is actually possible, because the manufacturers print model codes in the listing title. We read both sites on 7 November 2026, logged out, from India — 100 distinct listings from Amazon's own search results with sponsored placements dropped, 90 from Flipkart's own search data.
Five model codes appear on both: iBELL ED06-91, iBELL ID13-75, iBELL ID13-80, Stanley SDH600KP-IN and Black+Decker TB555-B1. Those five are the whole of this comparison. Everything else on either shelf is a different tool, and this page does not pretend otherwise.
On four of the five matched models Amazon is cheaper, by Rs. 241 to Rs. 391. On the fifth the two are identical to the rupee. Amazon is not dearer on any of them. The gaps are not large in absolute terms — the biggest is Rs. 391 on a Rs. 3,690 Stanley, about 11% — but the direction is consistent across four unrelated model codes from three manufacturers.
The five models that appear on both
| Model code | Amazon | Flipkart | Cheaper |
|---|
| iBELL ED06-91, 400 W | Rs. 1,447 | Rs. 1,756 | Amazon, by Rs. 309 |
| iBELL ID13-75, 650 W impact | Rs. 1,933 | Rs. 2,174 | Amazon, by Rs. 241 |
| iBELL ID13-80, 650 W impact | Rs. 2,447 | Rs. 2,752 | Amazon, by Rs. 305 |
| Stanley SDH600KP-IN, 600 W hammer | Rs. 3,299 | Rs. 3,690 | Amazon, by Rs. 391 |
| Black+Decker TB555-B1, 550 W | Rs. 1,803 | Rs. 1,803 | level, to the rupee |
These are matched on the manufacturer's own model code printed in both titles — ED06-91, ID13-75, ID13-80, SDH600KP-IN, TB555-B1 — which is a far stronger match than a brand name or a wattage. A drill sold under one code is the same drill.
What the table cannot show is what comes in the box. The Stanley listing on Amazon describes a hammer drill with a hand-tool kit; Flipkart's describes the same code as a DIY hammer drill with a power and hand tool kit. Bundle contents can differ between sellers on the same model, and we did not open either box. Treat the Rs. 391 as a price gap on the model, not a guaranteed saving on an identical parcel.
The list price is the retailer's, not the manufacturer's
| Model code | Amazon's stated MRP | Flipkart's stated MRP | Amazon badge | Flipkart badge |
|---|
| iBELL ED06-91 | Rs. 2,300 | Rs. 2,800 | 37% | 37% |
| iBELL ID13-75 | Rs. 2,501 | Rs. 3,000 | 23% | 28% |
| iBELL ID13-80 | Rs. 2,850 | Rs. 2,850 | 14% | 3% |
| Stanley SDH600KP-IN | Rs. 8,360 | Rs. 7,600 | 61% | 51% |
| Black+Decker TB555-B1 | Rs. 3,388 | Rs. 3,389 | 47% | 47% |
On the same model code, the two sites print different list prices. An iBELL ED06-91 is measured against Rs. 2,300 on Amazon and Rs. 2,800 on Flipkart. A Stanley SDH600KP-IN is measured against Rs. 8,360 on Amazon and Rs. 7,600 on Flipkart. A Black+Decker TB555-B1 is Rs. 3,388 against Rs. 3,389 — one rupee apart, which is close enough to suggest a common source and far enough to prove it is not one shared field.
The iBELL ID13-80 row is the one to remember. Both sites print the same Rs. 2,850 list price. Amazon badges it 14% and Flipkart badges it 3%. Amazon is Rs. 305 cheaper, and the badge is the only honest signal of that in the whole table — because for once the reference price is the same on both sides.
That is worth contrasting with a brand-run shelf. On Crocs, read the same morning, the brand's own store and Myntra printed eleven identical MRPs. On drills, the list price travels with the retailer.
Where Flipkart wins: how many people have reviewed it
| Model code | Amazon | Flipkart |
|---|
| iBELL ED06-91 | 3.6 stars, 125 ratings | 3.9 stars, 18,040 ratings |
| iBELL ID13-75 | 4.1 stars, 4,640 ratings | 4.1 stars, 18,135 ratings |
| iBELL ID13-80 | 4.0 stars, 2,796 ratings | 4.1 stars, 2,959 ratings |
| Stanley SDH600KP-IN | 4.3 stars, 2,907 ratings | 4.4 stars, 13,503 ratings |
| Black+Decker TB555-B1 | 4.3 stars, 4,346 ratings | 4.3 stars, 7,692 ratings |
On every matched model, Flipkart's rating pool is the deeper one, and on three of the five it is not close. An iBELL ED06-91 carries 125 ratings on Amazon and 18,040 on Flipkart. A Stanley SDH600KP-IN carries 2,907 against 13,503.
The star averages barely move — 3.6 against 3.9, 4.1 against 4.1, 4.3 against 4.4 — so the two sites agree about these tools. What differs is how much evidence sits behind the agreement. If you want the verdict, read it on Flipkart. If you want the price, this read says buy on Amazon.
The two shelves overall
| Measure | Amazon (100 listings) | Flipkart (90 listings) |
|---|
| Listings read | 100 | 90 |
| Cheapest listing | Rs. 186 | Rs. 965 |
| Dearest listing | Rs. 11,499 | Rs. 13,498 |
| Median price | Rs. 2,794 | Rs. 1,846 |
| Median discount badge | 51% | 52% |
| Deepest badge | 99% | 79% |
| Listings publishing a rating | 99 of 100 | 77 of 90 |
| Median rating count | 238 | 145 |
| Largest rating count | 19,289 | 44,141 |
Flipkart's median listing is Rs. 948 cheaper, and that is a product-mix effect, not a contradiction of the matched-model table. Amazon's shelf reaches down to Rs. 186 for bit sets and up to Rs. 11,499 for professional cordless kits, and it carries Bosch, Black+Decker, Stanley and DongCheng in volume. Flipkart's is weighted towards Hillgrove, Ranpra and Mechforce in the Rs. 1,000–2,500 band.
Amazon's deepest badge is 99%, which on this shelf as on every other is a stated list price problem rather than a discount. Flipkart's deepest is 79%. Neither figure tells you anything about which drill to buy.
Search the model code, not the product name. Typing "SDH600KP-IN" or "ID13-80" into both sites takes about twenty seconds and is the only way to compare drills honestly — brand plus wattage will match four different tools at four different prices.
What this comparison does and does not show
- It compares five models, matched on manufacturer model codes printed in both titles. That is the strongest match this shelf allows and it is also its limit.
- It does not say Amazon is cheaper for drills in general. Flipkart's median listing is cheaper; the shelves stock different tools.
- It does not verify bundle contents. Two sellers can list one model code with different kit, and nothing here was unboxed.
- It excludes bank offers, exchange discounts, coupons and EMI, all of which move these numbers. Both reads were made logged out.
- It is one morning's snapshot, taken while Amazon's Great Indian Festival and Flipkart's Big Bang Diwali Sale were both running.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a drill machine cheaper on Amazon or Flipkart?
On the five models that appear on both sites, Amazon — on four of them, and level on the fifth. Read 7 November 2026: an iBELL ED06-91 at Rs. 1,447 against Rs. 1,756, an iBELL ID13-75 at Rs. 1,933 against Rs. 2,174, an iBELL ID13-80 at Rs. 2,447 against Rs. 2,752, a Stanley SDH600KP-IN at Rs. 3,299 against Rs. 3,690, and a Black+Decker TB555-B1 at Rs. 1,803 on both. Across the whole shelf Flipkart's median listing is cheaper — Rs. 1,846 against Rs. 2,794 — but that is because the two sites stock different tools, not because Flipkart undercuts on the same drill.
How do I compare the same drill across two sites?
Search the manufacturer's model code, which both sites print in the listing title. The five in this read are ED06-91, ID13-75 and ID13-80 from iBELL, SDH600KP-IN from Stanley and TB555-B1 from Black+Decker. Brand plus wattage is not enough — iBELL alone sells several 650 W impact drills at different prices. One caveat: bundle contents can differ between sellers on the same code, so check what the listing says is in the box before assuming a price gap is a straight saving.
Why does the same drill show a different MRP on Amazon and Flipkart?
Because the stated list price is the retailer's reference, not a manufacturer-set national price. In this read an iBELL ED06-91 is measured against Rs. 2,300 on Amazon and Rs. 2,800 on Flipkart; a Stanley SDH600KP-IN against Rs. 8,360 and Rs. 7,600; a Black+Decker TB555-B1 against Rs. 3,388 and Rs. 3,389. The practical consequence: the discount badge is not comparable between sites. The one exception here is the iBELL ID13-80, where both print Rs. 2,850, and there the badges — 14% against 3% — do reflect the real Rs. 305 price gap. Nothing here alleges any stated list price is false.
Which site has better drill reviews, Amazon or Flipkart?
Flipkart, on every matched model in this read, and by a wide margin on three of them. An iBELL ED06-91 carries 125 ratings on Amazon and 18,040 on Flipkart; an ID13-75 carries 4,640 against 18,135; a Stanley SDH600KP-IN carries 2,907 against 13,503. The star averages agree closely — 3.6 against 3.9, 4.1 against 4.1, 4.3 against 4.4 — so the two shelves are not telling different stories about these tools, there is simply far more evidence behind Flipkart's version of it. Shelf-wide, Amazon publishes a rating on 99 of 100 listings and Flipkart on 77 of 90.
What does a drill machine cost in India in November 2026?
On this read, Rs. 186 to Rs. 11,499 on Amazon with a median of Rs. 2,794, and Rs. 965 to Rs. 13,498 on Flipkart with a median of Rs. 1,846. A corded 400–650 W home drill from iBELL, Black+Decker or Stanley lands between Rs. 1,447 and Rs. 3,690 on either site. Cordless lithium-ion drivers from Bosch and Ingco sit higher. Amazon's deepest badge on this shelf is 99%, which comes from the stated list price rather than from any discount — compare rupees, and where you can, compare model codes.
Prices & codes last verified: November 7, 2026
Every selling price, stated list price, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on 7 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought — the Amazon figures from amazon.in's own search results with sponsored placements dropped, the Flipkart figures from flipkart.com's own search data. The five compared drills are matched on the manufacturer model code printed in both listing titles. Bundle contents can differ between sellers listing the same code, and nothing here was unboxed, powered or tested. Shelf-wide medians are not a like-for-like comparison, because the two sites stock different tools, and that is stated on the page. Bank offers, exchange discounts, coupon codes and EMI are excluded from every price. Stated list prices are each retailer's own reference prices and nothing here alleges that any of them is false. Prices on both sites change daily, and this read was taken during a festive trading week.
