208 listings read on August 12. Track pants median Rs. 349, shorts Rs. 449, joggers Rs. 587 - and 32 garments share a single stated MRP. Twenty picks.
We read 208 AJIO men's shorts, track pant and jogger listings on August 12, 2026 and seated 20. The prices run opposite to the cloth: a full-length track pant has a median price of Rs. 349, a pair of shorts Rs. 449 and a jogger Rs. 587. The reason is the stated-MRP tier each format is filed under, not the garment. Thirty-two listings share a Rs. 999 MRP and sell from Rs. 240 to Rs. 899. None of the 208 carries a rating.
Every price below was pulled from AJIO on August 12, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Six pairs from Rs. 160 to Rs. 620, on a shelf whose median price is Rs. 449 - a hundred rupees more than a full-length track pant.
Rs. 160 off a stated Rs. 200 - 20 per cent, the shallowest discount on the page and the cheapest garment on it.
Why it earned its spot The listing that discounts least sells for least, which is the whole argument of this page.
Rs. 179 from a stated Rs. 995 - an 82 per cent badge on a garment selling for Rs. 19 more than the 20 per cent one.
Why it earned its spot Eighty-two per cent off and 20 per cent off land nineteen rupees apart.
Rs. 240 from a stated Rs. 799 - Reliance's own athleisure label, and the median short in the read costs Rs. 449.
Why it earned its spot AJIO's own label sits well under the Rs. 449 median for shorts.
Rs. 328 from a stated Rs. 995 - the cheapest short in the read that names its pockets.
Why it earned its spot On a wall of listings that describe nothing, a named pocket is a specification.
Rs. 620 from a stated Rs. 1,999 - and Rs. 620 buys a full-length jogger three chapters down.
Why it earned its spot At this price the same money buys twice the garment in a different format.
Rs. 599 from a stated Rs. 749 - 20 per cent off, and the only established brand in this chapter.
Why it earned its spot A real brand prices at Rs. 599 and discounts 20 per cent; the unknowns claim 82.
Seven pairs from Rs. 239 to Rs. 439, against a category median of Rs. 349 - the most fabric of the three formats, at the lowest price.
Rs. 239 from a stated Rs. 1,995 - 88 per cent off, and full-length.
Why it earned its spot Two hundred and thirty-nine rupees for full-length trousers, from an unknown label.
Rs. 272 from a stated Rs. 1,599 - ribbed fabric, straight leg, insert pockets, all three stated.
Why it earned its spot Three specifications in one listing is unusually generous for this wall.
Rs. 300 from a stated Rs. 1,999 - one of the many prices in this read that land on a round figure.
Why it earned its spot Round-number pricing is what a percentage applied to a tier produces.
Rs. 312 from a stated Rs. 1,299 - 76 per cent off, with a side stripe the listing actually mentions.
Why it earned its spot A side stripe is the one styling cue that changes what the garment can be worn to.
Rs. 320 from a stated Rs. 1,599 - 80 per cent off, a price several listings in this read share exactly.
Why it earned its spot Round prices repeat here because the discount is applied by tier.
Rs. 364 from a stated Rs. 2,599 - the biggest MRP claim among the track pants we seated.
Why it earned its spot A Rs. 2,599 claim on a Rs. 364 garment is the pattern this page keeps finding.
Rs. 439 from a stated Rs. 1,999 - and still Rs. 148 below the median jogger price.
Why it earned its spot The most expensive track pant here undercuts the average jogger.
Seven pairs from Rs. 254 to Rs. 680, against a median of Rs. 587 - the same garment as a track pant with a closed hem, and the dearest of the three.
Rs. 254 from a stated Rs. 499 - 49 per cent off, the cheapest jogger we seated, with zip pockets.
Why it earned its spot Zip pockets on a Rs. 254 garment is the single best specification-per-rupee here.
Rs. 378 from a stated Rs. 1,349 - 72 per cent off, and below the Rs. 587 category median.
Why it earned its spot Two hundred rupees below the median jogger, with nothing obviously missing.
Rs. 400 from a stated Rs. 3,999 - a 90 per cent badge, the largest MRP-to-price gap on this page.
Why it earned its spot Ninety per cent off is a statement about the MRP, not about the garment.
Rs. 500 from a stated Rs. 1,999 - relaxed-fit cargo joggers from an established online menswear brand.
Why it earned its spot The cargo pocket is the one format difference worth paying for in this chapter.
Rs. 520 from a stated Rs. 2,599 - a mid-wash denim-look jogger, 80 per cent off.
Why it earned its spot A jogger that reads as jeans is the most-worn garment in this category.
Rs. 575 from a stated Rs. 2,499 - 77 per cent off, and Rs. 12 below the category median.
Why it earned its spot Almost exactly the median jogger price, which makes it the reference point.
Rs. 680 from a stated Rs. 1,699 - 60 per cent off, the shallowest jogger badge we seated.
Why it earned its spot The most expensive garment on the page has the most believable MRP in its chapter.
First: choose the format before the listing, because the median price gap between a track pant and a jogger is Rs. 238 and no individual bargain inside a format will beat it. Second: ignore any badge above 85 per cent - 32 listings here share one stated MRP of Rs. 999 while selling across a 3.7x range, which is the same tier effect we found on the T-shirt and polo wall. Third: read what the listing names, not what it implies; a stated pocket type or knit is the only hard fact available, since AJIO publishes no ratings at all. Fourth: assume the fabric is light, because nothing at this price states a GSM and a thin jersey jogger looks thin. Fifth: order your usual size in a relaxed fit and one up in a slim one - returns on a Rs. 300 garment cost more attention than they are worth.

Across 208 listings the medians are Rs. 349 for a track pant, Rs. 449 for a pair of shorts and Rs. 587 for a jogger. That ordering is the opposite of the fabric used, and it holds because AJIO files each format into different stated-MRP tiers - a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,299 for track pants, Rs. 999 for shorts and Rs. 1,699 for joggers - and then discounts the tier. So the decision that saves the most money in this category is which format you buy, not which listing inside a format, and we group the page that way.
Thirty-two of the 208 listings we read share a stated MRP of exactly Rs. 999, and they sell between Rs. 240 and Rs. 899 - the same sticker across a 3.7x range, with badges from 10 per cent to 76 per cent. The whole wall resolves to 52 stated MRPs against 126 distinct selling prices. A badge computed on a number the seller picked is not evidence of a saving, so we quote every percentage but rank on none of them, and where a listing claims 88 or 90 per cent off we say plainly that the claim is about the MRP field rather than the garment.
Not one of the 208 rows in this read carries a customer rating or a rating count - AJIO's search API returns none for this category, which is consistent with every AJIO read we have done. That is a real limitation and we would rather state it than dress the page up: there is no crowd here to tell you which Rs. 320 track pant is better sewn than another Rs. 320 track pant. It is also why we lean on what each listing actually specifies - pocket type, knit, fit, closure - because that is the only hard information on the page.
Most AJIO listings in this category state a fit and a rise and nothing else: no fabric composition, no GSM, no shell weight. So on each card we report only what is written - insert pockets, zip pockets, ribbed knit, elasticated drawstring, cargo pocket, side stripe - and where nothing is stated we say so rather than describing a garment we have not seen. Nothing on this page has been worn, washed or measured, and fabric weight is the single largest unknown at every price level here.
Because the price is set by the stated-MRP tier the listing sits in, not by the amount of fabric in the garment. In our August 12, 2026 read of 208 listings, track pants had a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,299 and a median selling price of Rs. 349; shorts had a median stated MRP of Rs. 999 and a median price of Rs. 449; joggers had a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,699 and a median price of Rs. 587. Shorts are filed into a lower MRP tier but discounted less, so they end up costing more than a full-length pant. There is no fabric explanation for this - a track pant uses roughly twice the cloth of a pair of shorts. The practical consequence is that the format decision is worth more than the listing decision: choosing a track pant over a jogger saves a median Rs. 238 before you have compared a single product.
It is a real arithmetic operation on a number the seller chose, which is not the same thing as a saving. Thirty-two of the 208 listings in our read share a stated MRP of exactly Rs. 999, and those 32 garments sell anywhere between Rs. 240 and Rs. 899, with badges running from 10 per cent to 76 per cent. The whole wall resolves to 52 distinct stated MRPs against 126 distinct selling prices, which is the signature of tier pricing rather than of individual markdowns. A stated MRP is the seller's own figure and neither we nor you can verify that any of these garments was ever sold at it. Judge every listing on the price you will actually pay, and treat the percentage as a description of the seller's MRP field. The listings with small badges on plausible MRPs - a 20 per cent badge on Rs. 749, a 60 per cent one on Rs. 1,699 - are usually the more honest transactions even when they cost more.
AJIO's search API returns no customer rating or rating count for this category, and that held across all 208 rows in our read. It is consistent with every AJIO catalogue we have pulled this year. The effect on shopping is significant: on a marketplace with ratings you can use a large sample to separate two similar garments at the same price, and here you cannot. What is left is what each listing chooses to specify. In practice that means preferring listings that name a pocket type, a knit, a closure or a fabric over ones that name only a fit, and preferring labels with a trading history - U.S. Polo Assn., Highlander, The Indian Garage Co, Team Spirit - over marketplace-only names when the prices are close. It also means keeping the amount you risk small: at Rs. 250 to Rs. 500 a garment, a mistake costs less than the effort of returning it.
The hem. A jogger has an elasticated or ribbed cuff that closes at the ankle; a track pant has an open, straight hem. Everything else - the elasticated drawstring waist, the knit fabric, the side pockets - is usually identical, and in our read the two formats were often the same garment from the same label in two finishes. That single detail costs a median Rs. 238: Rs. 349 for a track pant against Rs. 587 for a jogger. Practically, the cuff keeps the hem off the floor and out of puddles, which matters in a monsoon month, and it makes the garment read as sportswear rather than as casual trousers. If you want the cheaper option to work in the rain, buy a straight track pant a size shorter rather than paying the cuff premium.
For most people the KB Team Spirit joggers at Rs. 254, because zip pockets at that price are the single best specification-per-rupee on the page and Team Spirit is an established athleisure label rather than a marketplace name. If you want the cheapest thing that works, the Popmantra straight track pant at Rs. 239 is full-length trousers with insert pockets for less than the median pair of shorts. If you want something that will be worn to more than the gym, The Indian Garage Co mid-wash jogger at Rs. 520 passes as casual jeans while having an elasticated waist. We would avoid buying on badge size: the 88 and 90 per cent listings on this page are not better value than the 49 and 60 per cent ones, they simply started from a larger number.
