Thirty-two AJIO mangalsutras against sixty-four on Myntra, read the same afternoon. Neither platform is cheaper; they are differently shaped.
Shoppers pick a platform and assume the prices follow. On mangalsutras they do not. Four brands returned listings on both AJIO and Myntra when we read the two shelves on 7 October 2026, and they split two each: Rubans is 30% cheaper on AJIO and Zeneme 13% cheaper, while Zeraki Jewels is 18% dearer there and Digital Dress Room 36% dearer. One brand, Digital Dress Room, is badged exactly 10% on both sites. What does differ is shape: per piece AJIO runs Rs. 30 to Rs. 2,639 against Myntra's Rs. 47.20 to Rs. 629 — and AJIO publishes no star ratings on this shelf at all.
Every price below was pulled from AJIO on October 7, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

A Zeneme gold-plated beaded mangalsutra at Rs. 239.

Why it earned its spot The widest gap in AJIO's favour among the four brands selling on both platforms.
A Rubans gold-plated beaded zirconia-studded mangalsutra at Rs. 381.

A Zeraki Jewels stone-studded mangalsutra at Rs. 399.
Why it earned its spot The brand that reverses the comparison, and the reason this page names no winner.
A Zeraki Jewels anti-tarnished beaded mangalsutra at Rs. 399.
Why it earned its spot Two different Zeraki designs at one identical price, as happened on Myntra too.
A GAURA ZEWELS pack of 2 gold-plated stone-studded mangalsutras at Rs. 558.
Why it earned its spot A listing whose name says 'pack of 2' in wording our set-size rule does not catch.
A Digital Dress Room gold-plated beaded mangalsutra at Rs. 854.
Why it earned its spot The brand that proves the discount convention belongs to the seller, not the platform.
Three listings beyond anything on the other platform — including the only sterling-silver mangalsutra in the comparison and a top price 4.2 times Myntra's.
A Palmonas waterproof mangalsutra at Rs. 1,907.
Why it earned its spot Where AJIO's shelf goes that Myntra's did not, and the start of the top end.
A Zavya sterling-silver gold-plated beaded mangalsutra at Rs. 1,979.
Why it earned its spot The one listing in the whole comparison that states a precious metal.
A Giva Golden Forever Moments mangalsutra at Rs. 2,639.
Why it earned its spot The top of AJIO's range, and 4.2 times the top of Myntra's.
Four checks. First: compare the brand, not the platform. Of the four brands selling on both shelves, two are cheaper on AJIO and two are dearer, with gaps from 13% to 36% in both directions. Opening the site you usually open is a coin toss on this category. Second: divide by the set size before anything else. One brand here sells a single mangalsutra, a set of four and a set of five at the identical Rs. 200 against the identical stated Rs. 399 and the identical 50% badge — Rs. 200, Rs. 50 and Rs. 40 a piece. Third: treat the badge as information about the MRP. Nine Bevogue listings here are badged exactly 90% because their stated MRPs are set at almost exactly ten times their prices — Rs. 155 against Rs. 1,545, Rs. 227 against Rs. 2,269. Fourth, and the one most people miss: check whether the site publishes ratings at all. Not one of AJIO's 32 mangalsutra listings carried a star average or a rating count; Myntra published one on 38 of its 64. If customer evidence matters to you on an unbranded jewellery purchase, that difference outweighs every price gap on this page. This is a price page: we did not buy, open, wear, weigh or assay anything, and nothing here describes gold content or quality.

The AJIO figures were read on 7 October 2026 from ajio.com's own search API (queries 'mangalsutra' and 'jewellery set'), 77 rows of which 32 are mangalsutras, 24 seated. The Myntra figures quoted throughout come from our own read of myntra.com's /mangalsutra and /mangalsutra-set listing pages on the SAME DAY, 64 unique listings. Both logged out, in India, nothing purchased.
Four brands - Zeneme, Rubans, Zeraki Jewels and Digital Dress Room - returned listings on both platforms, and those four carry the comparison. Everything else on this page describes AJIO's shelf and is compared to Myntra's only on range, badge spread and what each site publishes.
Where a brand sells on both shelves, the two listings are different designs, not one item listed twice. We compare what a brand's mangalsutra costs on each platform and make no claim that any two items are identical, equivalent or interchangeable. We did not open the product pages.
Every per-piece figure divides the selling price by the number printed in the listing's own title - 'Set of 5', 'Set of 2'. A listing without that wording is counted as one piece, which is why the 'Pack of 2' listing on this page is counted as a single and says so on its own card rather than being quietly re-read.
Not one of the 32 AJIO mangalsutra listings carried a star average or a rating count on the date read. Myntra published a rating on 38 of its 64. No card here shows a rating, and that absence is itself reported rather than filled in from anywhere else.
'Gold-plated', 'gold-toned', 'sterling silver', 'American diamond', 'zirconia', 'anti-tarnished', 'waterproof' and every other material or finish word are the listings' own printed text, reproduced as printed and not tested, assayed, weighed or hallmark-checked by us. We did not buy, open, wear or examine anything.
Neither, on the evidence of this read. Four brands sold on both shelves on 7 October 2026 and they split two each: Rubans was 30% cheaper on AJIO (Rs. 329 against Rs. 469) and Zeneme 13% cheaper (Rs. 239 against Rs. 274), while Zeraki Jewels was 18% dearer on AJIO (Rs. 399 against Rs. 337) and Digital Dress Room 36% dearer (Rs. 854 against Rs. 629). The ranges differ more than the prices: per piece AJIO ran Rs. 30 to Rs. 2,639 and Myntra Rs. 47.20 to Rs. 629. Check the specific brand you want on both, rather than picking a platform.
Because of one brand, and because of how its MRPs are set. Nine Bevogue listings in this read are badged exactly 90%, and in each case the stated MRP sits within a few rupees of ten times the selling price — Rs. 155 against Rs. 1,545, Rs. 170 against Rs. 1,701, Rs. 225 against Rs. 2,252, Rs. 227 against Rs. 2,269. A fixed ratio produces a fixed badge whatever the product costs. An MRP is the figure a listing displays and we have not verified that any item here was ever sold at one, so the percentage is arithmetic over two numbers a seller chose. Setting an MRP is an ordinary and lawful commercial decision and no wrongdoing is alleged by anyone.
We can only report that it does not. Not one of the 32 AJIO mangalsutra listings returned on 7 October 2026 carried a star average or a rating count, while Myntra published a rating on 38 of its 64 listings the same day. That is why no card on this page shows a rating pill. On a shelf where most sellers are unfamiliar names and no item can be inspected before buying, the published rating is often the only quality signal a tile offers, so its absence is worth knowing about before you choose where to shop.
Very, once sets are divided out. The cheapest piece in this read was Rs. 30 — a stated set of two at Rs. 60 — and the cheapest single mangalsutra was Rs. 50. For comparison, Myntra's shelf bottomed out at Rs. 47.20 a piece in a set of five and Rs. 187 for a single. At the other end AJIO reached Rs. 2,639, where Myntra's dearest was Rs. 629. Every figure is the selling price divided by the set size printed in the listing's own name; prices change continuously, so check the live pages.
This page cannot tell you, and does not try. Every material word here — 'gold-plated', 'gold-toned', 'sterling silver', 'American diamond', 'zirconia', 'anti-tarnished', 'waterproof' — is the listing's own printed text, reproduced as printed and not tested, assayed, weighed or hallmark-checked by us. 'Gold-plated' describes a coating rather than solid gold content, and 'American diamond' is a trade term for a simulant rather than a diamond. Only one listing across both shelves names a precious metal at all. Read the product page's own material description, and look for hallmarking information, before buying.
