That is the fork. If you have a balcony, a water connection and ten spare minutes on wash day, this machine washes nine kilos for the price of a mid-range phone. The stated MRP of Rs. 26,440 producing a 51 per cent badge is the deepest discount in our four-category read, and like most deep badges it says more about the sticker than the saving.

Ten thousand nine hundred and ninety rupees is the entry price to owning a washing machine at all in this read, and what it buys is seven kilos, a 5-star energy rating, Fast Dry technology and a stated IPX4 splash rating on the control panel. Set against the 9 kg version two thousand rupees above it, the extra capacity is the better buy for almost anyone - two kilos of drum for Rs. 1,970 is the cheapest capacity anywhere on this page. We seat this one anyway because it defines the scale. Every time this page says a front load costs three times a semi-automatic, this is the number being multiplied. Read that trade honestly: you are paying Rs. 8,030 and losing a kilo of capacity, and getting back roughly fifteen minutes of attention per wash. For a household doing five washes a week that is a good trade; for one doing one, it may not be. The difference is a feature set: Samsung's listing claims AI-driven wash cycles that adapt to load, Ecobubble pre-dissolving of detergent for cold washes, and an Intensive mode. Whether those are worth Rs. 4,000 is a judgement we cannot make for you - no ratings exist in this feed and we have not run either machine. What we can point out is the shape of the spending. Front loaders wash by tumbling clothes through a small amount of water rather than agitating them in a full tub, which uses substantially less water, is gentler on fabric and - crucially in India - fits under a kitchen counter. They also cost this much. Rs. 32,240 buys seven kilos here, against nine kilos for Rs. 12,960 two seats up. That is the whole argument of this page in one comparison, and it is not a criticism of the machine: LG's inverter direct-drive motor claims fewer moving parts and a longer service life, and the steam programme is a genuine feature for allergen removal. Thirty-nine per cent is the deepest washing-machine discount in our four-category read, and it is attached to a Rs. 37,990 machine rather than a Rs. 12,000 one. That is a useful corrective to the instinct that big badges live at the bottom of a shelf. Bosch's 8 kg front load claims anti-stain and anti-wrinkle programmes and 1400 RPM spin - the spin speed matters more than the marketing names, because a faster spin extracts more water and shortens drying time, which in a monsoon month is the whole game. Against the LG at Rs. 32,240 you are paying Rs. 5,750 for an extra kilo and a faster spin. Against the 9 kg semi-automatic you are paying Rs. 25,030 for a kilo less. Both comparisons are true; only the second one tells you what this aisle is actually charging for.

Seventy-nine rupees per litre is the best capacity rate on this page and it comes from the fridge aisle's cheap fork. Direct cool means the cooling is passive - cold air circulates by convection from a plate in the freezer compartment - which is cheaper to build, uses less power on paper, and requires you to defrost the freezer manually every few weeks. That last part is the entire fork. Frost free machines add a fan and a heating element that periodically melts the ice, and they start at roughly double this. Haier's listing claims 1-hour icing and stabiliser-free operation up to a stated voltage range, which in areas with unstable supply is worth more than most feature names. One hundred and eighty-five litres, direct cool, single door, with LG's smart inverter compressor and a 3-star energy rating, for Rs. 17,990. Read the next seat and you will find the same brand selling the same capacity in the same format for Rs. 18,990, with no inverter and no star rating named. An inverter compressor varies its speed to match the cooling demand instead of switching fully on and fully off, which means less noise, less wear and a materially lower electricity bill over a fridge's ten-to-fifteen-year life. It is the single most consequential specification on a refrigerator listing. Here it is available for a thousand rupees less than not having it. The badge, incidentally, points the wrong way - 21 per cent here against 9 per cent there - which is one more reason not to shop by percentage.

What Panasonic adds is 51 auto-cook menus, digital rather than mechanical controls and a child safety lock - convenience and safety features rather than a new cooking method. We seat it because the comparison isolates the variable this chapter is about: within the solo fork, Rs. 1,000 buys a nicer interface; crossing to convection costs Rs. 4,500 and buys a different appliance. Hafele's answer is the specification: eight wash programmes against six, an extra drying function, a child lock, and a European kitchen-fittings brand with an installation and service operation built around built-in appliances. Extra drying in particular is not a trivial feature in Indian humidity, where a dishwasher that leaves plates damp is a dishwasher that leaves plates spotted. This is a defensible purchase.
