Hold the capacity constant and the appliance aisle turns legible: the spread is the brand premium, the badge tracks the name you don't know, and the colour costs Rs. 1,502.
We read forty-four in-stock washing machines, microwave ovens, dishwashers and water purifiers from Reliance Digital's own listings on July 31, 2026, and applied the one discipline the appliance aisle rewards: hold the spec constant and let the prices explain themselves. Start with the cleanest case. A 20-litre solo microwave is a defined object — one magnetron, one turntable, reheat and defrost — and this shelf sells five of them: a Morphy Richards at Rs. 4,988, a Haier at Rs. 6,390, the same Morphy Richards in black at Rs. 6,490, an IFB at Rs. 7,090 and an LG at Rs. 7,990. A sixty per cent spread on one spec sheet, with the deepest badge in the entire read — sixty-three per cent — sitting on the cheapest machine, against a declared MRP of Rs. 13,595 that no 20-litre solo has ever sold for. The two Morphy listings deserve their own sentence: the same microwave costs one thousand five hundred and two rupees more in black than in white, and because the two listings declare different MRPs, their badges read 48% and 63% and never invite the comparison. Dishwashers run the same experiment at higher stakes. Four machines of thirteen or fourteen place settings span Rs. 26,290 to Rs. 58,087 — Rs. 1,878 per place at the Kelvinator end, Rs. 4,149 at the built-in Hafele end — and the Siemens in the middle wears the read's smallest badge, six per cent, for the reason this store keeps teaching us: the names that sell themselves are never the names on sale. The laundry shelf confirms it from the other direction, hanging its deepest badge, forty-six per cent, on a Foxsky while Samsung and LG sit at thirteen to thirty-two on stickers that track street prices. And the purifier shelf contributes the page's one genuine pricing accident: the Aquaguard Crest UV with hot-water dispensing costs Rs. 8,488 while the plain Crest UV — the same machine minus the hot spout — costs Rs. 9,979. Our earlier reads of Reliance Digital's daily offers and its HDFC card stack cover what comes off these prices at checkout.
Every price below was pulled from Reliance Digital on July 31, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Reliance Digital coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
A 20 L solo microwave is the same appliance whoever builds it. This shelf prices it at Rs. 4,988, Rs. 6,390, Rs. 6,490, Rs. 7,090 and Rs. 7,990 — and the same Morphy Richards costs Rs. 1,502 more in black.
Rs. 4,988 against a stated Rs. 13,595 — 63%, the deepest badge in the read, on the cheapest of five 20 L solos.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 4,988 for a 20 L solo microwave — the floor of a five-machine comparison.
Rs. 6,490 against a stated Rs. 12,599 — 48%, for the same Morphy Richards 20 L solo in black.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 6,490 for the same microwave in black — the colour costs Rs. 1,502.
Rs. 6,390 against a stated Rs. 8,990 — 29%, with the row's most believable MRP under Rs. 9,000.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 6,390 for the Haier 20 L solo — a hundred rupees under the black Morphy, with an honest sticker.
Rs. 7,090 against a stated Rs. 8,990 — 21%, with mechanical knobs and weight defrost.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 7,090 for the IFB 20 L solo — knobs, not buttons, which some kitchens genuinely prefer.
Rs. 7,990 against a stated Rs. 11,199 — 29%, the dearest of the five identical capacities.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 7,990 for the LG 20 L solo — Rs. 3,002 over the same spec in white.
Four 13-14 place machines run Rs. 26,290 to Rs. 58,087 — Rs. 1,878 to Rs. 4,149 per place. The German name wears the read's smallest badge, 6%, because real prices leave no room for theatre.
Rs. 26,290 against a stated Rs. 39,631 — 34%, the cheapest 14-place machine in the read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 26,290 for a 14-place Kelvinator — the same place count as machines at twice the price.
Rs. 43,690 against a stated Rs. 46,490 — 6%, the read's shallowest discount, on the German name.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 43,690 for the Siemens 13-place — six per cent off, and that is the whole discount.
Rs. 52,290 against a stated Rs. 59,920 — 13%, for steam, Wi-Fi and the QuadWash spray.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 52,290 for LG's 14-place TrueSteam — the feature-flagship of the shelf.
Rs. 58,087 against a stated Rs. 84,800 — 32%, for the built-in that hides in the cabinetry.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 58,087 for the Hafele built-in — the most expensive listing in the read, for a reason that is not washing.
Rs. 18,290 against a stated Rs. 24,881 — 26%, for 8 places — and its silver twin costs Rs. 1,000 more.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 18,290 for the 8-place Kelvinator in white — the right size for a two-person kitchen.
The deepest washing-machine badge, 46%, sits on a Foxsky. Samsung and LG run 13-32% on stickers that mean something. In between, a Panasonic front-loader undercuts LG's top-loader — better tech from the quieter brand.
Rs. 5,790 against a stated Rs. 6,999 — 17%, the least expensive washing machine in the read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 5,790 for a 7.5 kg semi-automatic — the floor of the laundry shelf.
Rs. 14,790 against a stated Rs. 27,499 — 46%, the deepest laundry badge, on the name you don't know.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 14,790 for a Foxsky 8 kg fully automatic — the shelf's pattern in one machine.
Rs. 16,490 against a stated Rs. 27,200 — 39%, the least expensive front-loader in the read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 16,490 for a Panasonic 8 kg front load — the fabric-care upgrade at top-load money.
Rs. 31,990 against a stated Rs. 46,990 — 32%, the inverter front-loader most buyers land on.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 31,990 for LG's 7 kg inverter front load — the category's consensus machine.
Rs. 51,490 against a stated Rs. 69,990 — 26%, for 12 kg, AI dosing and the biggest drum here.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 51,490 for Samsung's 12 kg Bespoke AI — laundry for a household that generates it.
UV for municipal water, RO for borewell — the spec decision comes before any price. And an Aquaguard with hot-water dispensing costs Rs. 1,491 less than the same machine without it.
Rs. 8,488 against a stated Rs. 18,490 — 54%, for UV purification plus hot-water dispensing.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 8,488 for the Aquaguard Crest UV + Hot — the deepest purifier badge, with a real extra.
Rs. 8,499 against a stated Rs. 16,490 — 48%, the cheapest full RO stack in the read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 8,499 for the Livpure Gaze RO+UV+UF — the full treatment at the chapter's floor price.
Rs. 9,979 against a stated Rs. 15,990 — 38%, UV-only, for water that only needs disinfecting.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 9,979 for the plain Aquaguard Crest UV — the right machine for already-good water.
Rs. 21,999 against a stated Rs. 28,000 — 21%, the category's most advertised machine, priced like it.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 21,999 for the Kent Grand Star — the purifier the ads built, at the shallow end of the badges.
Four rules from a 44-listing read. First: price the spec, not the brand — then decide what the brand is worth as a separate, conscious line item. On this shelf that discipline prices the 20 L microwave brand premium at exactly Rs. 3,002, the 14-place dishwasher premium at up to Rs. 31,797, and the fully-automatic laundry premium over a semi at Rs. 9,000. Sometimes the premium is worth it — LG's direct-drive motor and Siemens' build are real engineering — but it should be bought on purpose, never absorbed through a badge. Second: read deep badges as biographies of the MRP. The 63% microwave, the 46% Foxsky and the 54% Aquaguard all discount from declared MRPs their categories never sell at, while the 6% Siemens and 10% Samsung discount from stickers that mean something. The badge column on this shelf is nearly a reverse ranking of brand accountability. Third: check every colourway and sibling model before paying — the white Morphy saves Rs. 1,502 over the black, the white Kelvinator dishwasher saves Rs. 1,000 over the silver, and the two Kelvinator 14-place models sit Rs. 1,000 apart on one spec. Ten seconds of searching per purchase. Fourth: in water purifiers, match the technology to the water before looking at a single price — UV for low-TDS municipal supply, RO for borewell and tanker — and then check whether a feature-richer sibling is accidentally cheaper, because this month one is: the hot-water Crest undercuts the plain Crest by Rs. 1,491. Our Reliance Digital coupon page tracks live codes, and our HDFC offers guide and exchange-offer page cover the stack that applies on top.

Every price, stated MRP and discount on this page comes from reliancedigital.in's own product listings on July 31, 2026 — 44 in-stock washing machines, microwaves, dishwashers and water purifiers, from Rs. 4,988 to Rs. 58,087, across 43 distinct stated MRPs. None of the 44 displayed a rating with a review count, so no pick on this page carries one.
A 20 L solo microwave, a 14-place dishwasher and an 8 kg washing machine are defined appliances, which makes them the rare shelf where like-for-like comparison is honest. Five 20 L solos run Rs. 4,988 to Rs. 7,990 — a 60% spread on one spec. Four 13-14 place dishwashers run Rs. 26,290 to Rs. 58,087, or Rs. 1,878 to Rs. 4,149 per place setting. The spread is the brand premium, made visible.
The discount runs inversely to how well you know the name — the pattern we keep finding at this store. The read's deepest badges: Morphy Richards 63%, Aquaguard's hot-water Crest 54%, Livpure 48%, Foxsky 46%. Its shallowest: Siemens 6%, Samsung 10-13%, LG 13% on the flagship dishwasher. Colourways add their own arithmetic — the same Morphy 20 L solo is Rs. 4,988 in white and Rs. 6,490 in black, declaring different MRPs; Kelvinator's 8-place dishwasher gains Rs. 1,000 in silver.
Each pick states the selling price, the declared MRP it is discounted from, and the spec that defines the machine — capacity, place settings, purification stages — because the spec is the unit a buyer should be pricing. Stated MRPs are the seller's own figures, which we report and do not verify; several (a Rs. 13,595 MRP on a Rs. 4,988 microwave) we flag as implausible on their face. Prices read July 31, 2026, and can change without notice.
The Morphy Richards 20 L solo in white at Rs. 4,988 — 63% off a stated Rs. 13,595, and the cheapest of five 20-litre solo machines we read on July 31, 2026. A 20 L solo is a defined appliance — reheat, defrost, one turntable — so the Rs. 3,002 spread up to the LG at Rs. 7,990 is almost entirely brand premium. Note the colourway arithmetic: the same Morphy Richards in black costs Rs. 6,490. If you want a bigger service network at a middle price, the Haier at Rs. 6,390 declares the row's most believable MRP.
The value is in the spec, not the badge. The cheapest 14-place machine in our read — the Kelvinator KDF-14B01S at Rs. 26,290, 34% off — costs Rs. 1,878 per place setting against Rs. 4,149 for the built-in Hafele at Rs. 58,087. Meanwhile the Siemens 13-place wears the read's smallest badge, 6%, because premium German machines sell close to sticker. For a two-person kitchen, the 8-place Kelvinator at Rs. 18,290 is the right size — and its silver twin costs Rs. 1,000 more for the finish.
By technology per rupee, the Panasonic 8 kg front load at Rs. 16,490 (39% off) — it is the cheapest front-loader in our read and undercuts LG's 8 kg top-loader by Rs. 6,000 while being gentler on clothes and roughly halving water use. For a longer horizon, LG's 7 kg inverter front load at Rs. 31,990 buys the direct-drive motor with its ten-year warranty. The deepest badge on the shelf — 46% on a Foxsky at Rs. 14,790 — is the least-known name discounting from the least believable MRP; the machine may serve, but the badge is not the reason to buy it.
Match the technology to your water, before any price comparison. UV-only machines (like the Aquaguard Crest UV) disinfect but do not remove dissolved solids, which suits low-TDS municipal supply that already tastes fine. RO machines (like the Livpure Gaze RO+UV+UF at Rs. 8,499) strip dissolved solids and are the entry requirement for borewell or tanker water. Budget Rs. 2,000-4,000 a year for service whichever you buy. And this month, one pricing accident is worth catching: the Aquaguard Crest UV + Hot at Rs. 8,488 costs Rs. 1,491 less than the plain Crest UV at Rs. 9,979 — the same machine plus a hot-water spout, for less.
Because their declared MRPs sit close to real street prices, leaving no room for badge theatre. In our 44-listing read the pattern was almost perfectly inverse: Siemens at 6%, Samsung at 10-26%, LG at 13-32% — against Morphy Richards at 63%, Aquaguard's hot Crest at 54%, Livpure at 48% and Foxsky at 46%, all discounting from MRPs their categories rarely sell at. A shallow badge on a known brand usually marks an honest price; a deep badge on an unknown one usually marks an ambitious MRP. Compare the rupees against the spec, and read the percentage as a biography of the sticker.
