Nothing without a real rating
Tata CLiQ's feed exposes genuine star ratings with review counts, which most Indian fashion catalogues do not. Every one of the 21 picks here carries one, taken from that feed — we discarded every product that lacked a rating or had fewer than ten, regardless of how good the discount looked.
Sample size beats the score
A 4.8 from sixteen ratings is weaker evidence than a 4.0 from 719, because averages fall as samples grow and early buyers skew positive. We ranked on the combination, said the count out loud in every pick, and flagged the thin samples rather than letting a high number stand unqualified.
We read the complaints, not just the average
A 3.8 whose negative reviews are all about sizing is a different product from a 3.8 whose complaints are about fabric failing. Where a pick scored below 4.0 we looked at what buyers actually objected to and said whether it was solvable — and where it was not, we said the pick is only right for a narrow use.
Cash saved, not just percentage
Percentages flatter cheap items and hide expensive ones. Sixty percent off the NMD R1 is Rs. 8,399 in real money, more than eleven other picks here cost outright. Where a headline percentage rests on an optimistic MRP — as fashion watches routinely do — we said so instead of repeating it.

Is a 4.8 rating better than a 4.0?
Not necessarily, and this page is a good illustration. The 4.8 here comes from sixteen ratings; the 4.0 comes from 719. Averages fall as samples grow, because early buyers are enthusiasts and later ones are ordinary — so a score that has survived several hundred ratings is stronger evidence than a higher one from a dozen. We have printed the count on every pick so you can weigh them yourself rather than trusting the star alone.
Are Tata CLiQ discounts genuine?
Mostly, with the usual category caveats. On branded footwear and apparel from Puma, adidas, Pepe and U.S. Polo Assn., the MRPs are manufacturer-set and the percentages are real.
