Fifty-six marker and highlighter listings read on one morning. Split them by whether the name on the pen is one you recognise and the badges separate completely - while the prices barely move at all.
We read every marker and highlighter Amazon returned across five searches on 3 November 2026 - 56 countable listings - and then split them by whether the name on the pen is one shoppers recognise. The 27 established stationery listings badge a median 11%. The other 29 badge a median 75%. Their median prices are Rs. 175 and Rs. 189. Fourteen rupees of difference in what you pay, sixty-four points of difference in what the tile claims. One eraser states Rs. 12,100 behind a Rs. 121 price and is excluded from every figure here.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on November 3, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Amazon runs card and coupon offers that change by day, card and basket, and this read was made logged out, so no bank discount or Prime pricing is included in any figure here. Check what the listing is first - this search returns single pens, 12-to-48 piece sets, highlighters and bottles of refill ink together, and the Rs. 40 floor is ink, not a pen. For sets, divide by the piece count printed in the title, because a deeper badge frequently buys a dearer pen. Ignore the badge when sorting: the established houses here badge a median 11% at a median price Rs. 14 below everyone else's. This page prices these listings and makes no assessment of ink, tips, odour or safety, including on the listings marketed for children.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page came from amazon.in's own search results, read on 3 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought. Sponsored placements were dropped and ASINs deduped, leaving 57 listings. One of them states an MRP exactly 100.00 times its selling price and is excluded from every median, range and average here; all figures are computed over the remaining 56, not over the 20 seated.
This page groups the 56 into 27 listings from established stationery houses - Camlin, STABILO, Posca, Faber-Castell, Staedtler, Sharpie, DOMS, Kores, Luxor, Pilot, Uniball, Quartet and Fevicryl - and 29 from names most shoppers will not recognise. "Established" is our own label for brand recognition. It is not a quality judgement, not an endorsement, and says nothing about how any pen writes. It is used here only because the badges divide almost perfectly along that line.
A whiteboard eraser in this read states Rs. 12,100 behind a Rs. 121 selling price - a round factor of one hundred - and carries a 99% badge. We report it as published, exclude it from all arithmetic, and do not call it false: we have no way of knowing how the figure was entered. Setting a recommended price above the selling price is an ordinary retail practice, and nothing here alleges wrongdoing by Amazon or by any seller or brand named.
This is a price read. We have not used, handled or tested anything on this page, and nothing here is a claim about ink quality, tip durability, erasability, lightfastness, bleed-through, odour or toxicity. "Non-Toxic", "Low-Odour", "Anti Dry-Out", "Waterproof", "Washable" and "Premium" are quoted from the listings' own titles and are unverified by us. Several listings are marketed for children; nothing here is a safety assessment of any of them.
Across 56 counted marker and highlighter listings read on 3 November 2026 from Amazon's own search results, prices ran Rs. 40 to Rs. 948 with a median of Rs. 184.50. Badges ran 3% to 87% and the median stated MRP was 1.73 times the selling price. The band is wide because one search returns single professional markers, bulk art-marker sets, highlighters and refill inks together. Prices change constantly; check the live listing.
Because on this shelf the badge tracks the brand, not the price. The 27 listings from established stationery houses - Camlin, STABILO, Posca, Faber-Castell, Staedtler, Sharpie, DOMS and others - run a median badge of 11% and a median stated MRP of 1.12 times the selling price. The other 29 listings run a median badge of 75% and a median claim of 3.96x. Their median prices are Rs. 175 and Rs. 189 - fourteen rupees apart. Sixty-four badge points separate two groups selling at almost the same money.
The badge is a true percentage of the stated MRP; the question is what the stated MRP means. In this read the deepest counted badge, 87%, sat on a Rs. 189 marker set claiming Rs. 1,499 - and Rs. 189 is almost exactly the shelf median price of Rs. 184.50. A second set at the identical Rs. 189 was badged 76%, because its stated MRP was Rs. 700 lower. Two identical prices, eleven badge points apart. Compare selling prices, and for multi-pen sets divide by the piece count printed in the title.
A STABILO BOSS Original pastel highlighter four-pack, with 77,646 ratings at 4.4 stars - and it is badged 10%, at Rs. 648 against a stated Rs. 720. The second-largest pool, 45,474 ratings, sits on the dearest listing in the read at Rs. 948, badged 4%. Across the shelf the established names run a median 667 ratings at 4.3 stars while the rest run a median 326 at 4.0. The group with the shallowest badges carries roughly twice the feedback - an observation about this read, not a judgement about any product.
Check what the listing actually is. This one search returns single permanent markers, 12-to-48 piece art sets, highlighters, whiteboard markers and bottles of refill ink side by side - the cheapest tile here, at Rs. 40, is 15 ml of ink, not a pen. For sets, divide the price by the piece count in the title: a 48-piece set at Rs. 359 works out at Rs. 7.48 a marker, cheaper per pen than a 24-piece set badged 23 points more deeply. Ignore the badge when sorting. This page makes no assessment of ink, tips or safety.
