A hundred and twelve floor-cleaning listings read on one morning. Six of them carry a recommended price exactly a hundred times what they charge, Amazon badges every one at 99% off, and they sit at the top of the shelf when you sort by discount.
We read every spin mop, bucket and floor wiper Amazon returned across three cleaning searches on 2 November 2026 — 112 listings — and six of them stopped the arithmetic dead. A Rs. 849 spin mop states a list price of Rs. 84,900. A Rs. 138 plastic bucket states Rs. 13,800. A Rs. 1,319 floor brush states Rs. 1,31,900. Each is exactly the selling price with two zeros added, and Amazon displays a 99% badge off every one. We have quarantined all seven outliers from every figure on this page — and what is left is a shelf where sixteen listings all claim Rs. 999.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on November 2, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Rs. 849 against Rs. 84,900. Rs. 138 against Rs. 13,800. Rs. 1,319 against Rs. 1,31,900. Amazon badges every one of them 99% off — and they are excluded from every median on this page.
Rs. 849 against a stated Rs. 84,900, badged 99% — 332 ratings

Why it earned its spot the biggest nominal claim in the read, on a floor brush costing Rs. 1,319.

Why it earned its spot a fourth unconnected seller producing the identical pattern.
Rs. 759 against a stated Rs. 18,975, badged 96% — 1,475 ratings
Why it earned its spot a 25x claim rather than 100x, and it is Amazon's own private-label product.
One shared stated MRP, a Rs. 447 price spread and badges from 80% down to 35%. Inside the group the badge works; across the shelf it does not.

Why it earned its spot it opens the second pattern: sixteen listings all claiming exactly Rs. 999.
Rs. 269 against a stated Rs. 999, badged 73% — 1,510 ratings
Why it earned its spot the same claimed list price, a real pool of feedback behind it.

Why it earned its spot the best-supported listing in the Rs. 999 group.

Why it earned its spot the third of the big pools, from a third established house.
Rs. 1,049 against a stated Rs. 2,199, badged 52% — 22,267 ratings

Rs. 399 against a stated Rs. 475, badged 16% — 19,060 ratings
Why it earned its spot the smallest discount on the page, on a listing with 19,060 ratings.
The cheapest listing is badged 75%, the dearest 52%, the median 50%. The percentage tells you very little about where you are on the shelf.
Rs. 88 against a stated Rs. 349, badged 75% — 450 ratings
Why it earned its spot the lowest price on the shelf once the decimal-point listings are set aside.
Rs. 2,295 against a stated Rs. 4,750, badged 52% — 774 ratings
Why it earned its spot the top of the shelf, at a badge two points above the median.
Rs. 2,184 against a stated Rs. 5,999, badged 64% — 2,972 ratings
Why it earned its spot the largest genuine claimed multiple among the dearer listings.
Amazon runs card and coupon offers that change by day, card and basket, and this read was made logged out, so no bank discount is included in any price here. Divide the stated MRP by the selling price before you trust a badge — if it comes to 100, you are looking at a misplaced decimal point and the discount is meaningless. Then read the rating count, not just the stars: the three listings with six-figure and five-figure pools here are all badged under 55%, and two Spotzero tiles share one pool Rs. 100 apart. Check whether the listing is a complete mop-and-bucket system or just a refill head or handle, because this shelf mixes all three and the titles do not always make it obvious. And check the returns window on the live page.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page came from the search results amazon.in itself serves, read on 2 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought. Three queries — spin mop, cleaning bucket and floor wiper — returned 112 listings, all of them floor-cleaning tools, so nothing is excluded here for being the wrong category.
Seven listings state a list price between 25 and 100 times their own selling price — six of them exactly 100x, which is the selling price with two zeros added. Leaving them in would drag every median and multiple on this page out of shape, so all seven are excluded from every median, range and multiple quoted, and reported separately in Chapter One. Every other figure on this page is computed over the remaining 105 listings, not over the 19 seated.
Where this page says a listing states an MRP one hundred times its price, that is arithmetic on figures Amazon published. We describe the pattern as what it looks like — a decimal point in the wrong place — and explicitly not as an attempt to deceive anyone. Six unrelated sellers producing the identical error is itself the reason to read it that way. Nothing here alleges wrongdoing by Amazon, by any seller or by any brand named, and no stated MRP is called deliberately false.
This is a price read. We have not used, handled or tested anything on this page, and nothing here is a claim about build quality, durability, the wringer mechanism, microfibre quality, water capacity or how well any item cleans. "Heavy Duty", "Magic Broom", "Super Saver", "Hands-Free" and "360 degree" are quoted from the listings' own titles and are unverified by us.
Across 105 listings read on 2 November 2026 from Amazon's own search results, prices ran from Rs. 88 to Rs. 2,295 with a median of Rs. 498. Hand squeegees and wipers sat between Rs. 88 and Rs. 450; spin mop and bucket systems from the established houses ran Rs. 989 to Rs. 1,345. The median displayed badge was 50% and the median stated MRP 2.00 times the selling price. Seven further listings with impossible stated MRPs are excluded from those figures. Prices change constantly; check the live listing.
Because the stated list price on those listings is the selling price with two zeros added. Six listings in this read state an MRP exactly 100 times what they charge — a Rs. 849 spin mop stating Rs. 84,900, a Rs. 138 bucket stating Rs. 13,800, a Rs. 1,319 floor brush stating Rs. 1,31,900. That is the signature of a decimal point in the wrong place, and we report it as that rather than as anyone trying to mislead you — six unrelated sellers made the same error. The badge engine computes 99% off it regardless. The selling prices on those listings are perfectly ordinary; only the number beside them is wrong.
Sixteen of the 105 clean listings in this read state exactly Rs. 999 as their list price — the commonest figure on the shelf. Behind it the actual prices run from Rs. 202 to Rs. 649, badged 80% down to 35%. Setting a round recommended price above the selling price is ordinary and lawful retail practice and nothing here alleges otherwise. The useful consequence is narrow: within that group of sixteen the badge is a reliable guide, because the claim is held constant. Across the shelf as a whole it is not.
Three houses hold almost all the published feedback on this shelf. Spotzero by Milton carries the two largest pools in the read at 103,323 and 63,147 ratings, Scotch-Brite 54,590, and Gala 22,267. None of those four is badged above 55%, while the six listings badged 99% carry between 2 and 332 ratings each. Two Spotzero tiles display the identical 63,147-rating pool at Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,099 — so check the rating count across tiles before paying the extra Rs. 100.
No, and not because anyone is lying to you — the list price it is computed from is a data error. In this read every 99% badge sat on a listing whose stated MRP was exactly 100 times its selling price. The honest way to use this shelf is to ignore the percentage entirely and compare rupees: the Rs. 138 bucket badged 99% genuinely is one of the cheapest things here, while the Rs. 399 Scotch-Brite wiper badged just 16% has 19,060 ratings behind it. Sort by price and read the rating count.
