Reliance Digital Grooming August 2026: Runtime Is the Only Spec

Reliance Digital grooming August 2026 collage - the Lifelong LLPCM17 beard trimmer, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, the Havells 15-in-1 IPX7 grooming kit and the Wahl Easy Breezy 1200 Watt hair dryer
Zoutons Picks — Reliance Digital Grooming, August 2026

Seventy-six grooming listings read on one afternoon. Only fourteen state a runtime, and the ones that shout loudest are the ones that cost least. Twenty-five picks from Rs. 469 to Rs. 29,900.

Prices & codes last verified August 3, 2026

The short of it Reliance Digital's grooming aisle, 76 listings read on August 3. The Rs. 1,279 BPL 12-in-1 states more than any other listing here. Two Philips trimmers share one Rs. 995 MRP and the dearer one states nothing. Five dryers state 1200 W at Rs. 488 to Rs. 1,809. The Rs. 29,900 Dyson states no specification at all.

We ran twelve queries against Reliance Digital's own product search on August 3, 2026 - trimmer, shaver, body groomer, grooming kit, hair clipper, nose trimmer, hair dryer, hair straightener, hair curler and their variants - and merged the results into 76 distinct listings, each with a selling price, a stated MRP above it and an image. Then, instead of sorting them by discount, we read the titles, because on a search-results page the title is the entire specification sheet a shopper is given. Fourteen of the 76 state a battery runtime. Twelve of those fourteen belong to Lifelong, BPL, Wahl, Xiaomi, TEFAL and Havells and quote between 60 and 180 minutes. The other two are Philips, and they quote 30 minutes and 45 minutes - the two smallest figures anywhere in the set. Fourteen of Philips's sixteen trimmer, shaver and groomer listings state nothing at all beyond a model number. Among hair dryers, eleven of fifteen state a wattage, and the four that do not include both Rs. 24,900 Dysons; among the fifteen straightener and curler listings, not a single one states a plate temperature, a plate width or a wattage at any price from Rs. 469 to Rs. 29,900. Put together, that is a clean inversion: the cheaper the listing, the louder the number, and the number disappears entirely at the top. Which makes sense once you see it - a specification in a title is a way of buying attention, and the brands people already walk in asking for do not need to buy any. The badge behaves the same way. Philips is 27 of the 76 listings and is capped at 31 per cent off; all 42 listings discounted more deeply are other brands. We made a related point about how the badge shrinks as the brand gets more familiar in the TV and audio aisle, and about pricing the spec rather than the brand in kitchen and laundry. This page is the grooming version, and here the spec is often simply missing. Nothing below is tested by us and the search markup publishes no ratings.

Every price below was pulled from Reliance Digital on August 3, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Reliance Digital coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“Fourteen of the 76 grooming listings at Reliance Digital state a runtime. The Rs. 499 trimmer claims three hours. The Rs. 24,900 hair dryer does not state its wattage.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Five rules for buying a trimmer or dryer off a search-results page

First: compare the rupee price, never the percentage. Philips's 27 listings here run from 4 to 31 per cent off with a median of 15, and every other brand has a median of 46. A shopper sorting by discount will not see a Philips until the forty-third result, and that ordering tells you about market position rather than about value. Second: ask what the stated MRP is doing before you read the badge. Two Lifelong trimmers share one Rs. 1,800 MRP at Rs. 549 and Rs. 699; two Philips trimmers share one Rs. 995 at Rs. 688 and Rs. 849; three listings share Rs. 2,999. A percentage computed off a list price several products share is not comparable to one computed off a unique price. Third: treat a big stated number as advertising until you can check it. The listing making the loudest runtime claim in this aisle, at three hours, is also the cheapest trimmer in it and carries the deepest badge - those three facts arriving together are one fact, not three. Fourth: read two listings from the same brand side by side. BPL's 12-in-1 at Rs. 1,279 states more functions, more minutes and a millimetre range that its own 10-in-1 at Rs. 1,309 does not, and it is the cheaper of the two - the badges point the other way. Fifth: above about Rs. 3,000, leave this page. Every listing here dearer than Rs. 2,639 stops stating a runtime, every dryer above Rs. 2,688 stops stating a wattage, and no straightener at any price states a plate temperature, so the manufacturer's own specification sheet is the only place to compare. We found the same information floor at Croma, where the panel type is the spec that decides a television, and at the cooling aisle where wattage is the whole argument.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: our pull covered twelve grooming queries, one page of results each, and it is a sample of the aisle rather than the whole of it - Reliance Digital's full grooming range is larger than 76 listings and deeper pagination would have returned more. Of the 76 we did read, we seated 25 and left out 51. The biggest single block skipped is the rest of the Philips range, which contributes 27 listings and would have swamped the page: we left out the Rs. 1,199 BT1247/18 and Rs. 1,959 BT3421/15 trimmers, the Rs. 2,149 S1151/03, Rs. 3,609 X3063/03 and Rs. 4,899 S3144/03 shavers, the Rs. 2,349 QP2824/10 OneBlade, the Rs. 1,499 BG1025 body groomer, the Rs. 2,499 BG3005 and Rs. 2,519 BG3470 body and intimate groomers, the Rs. 3,769 MG5932 11-in-1 and Rs. 3,799 MG7922 13-in-1 kits, the Rs. 5,000 BRE710 epilator, the Rs. 2,199 BRT383 bikini trimmer, the Rs. 1,509 and Rs. 1,889 dryers, the Rs. 2,849 BHD321 dryer, and the BHS393, BHS397, BHS507 and BHH730 straighteners at Rs. 1,788 to Rs. 3,239 - every one of them stating nothing but a model number, which is the finding, and seating more of them would have repeated it without adding to it. We also left out the Rs. 469-to-Rs. 1,099 BPL straighteners we did not seat at Rs. 519 and Rs. 739, the Rs. 819 and Rs. 1,029 BPL trimmers and shaver, the Rs. 729 BPL trimmer, all four Havells grooming kits and trimmers at Rs. 1,139 to Rs. 1,899, the three Havells dryers at Rs. 1,479 to Rs. 1,809, the Rs. 2,099 Havells straightener-curler combo, the Rs. 1,499 Xiaomi UniBlade, the Rs. 1,488 TEFAL Stylis Plus, the Rs. 1,629 Gillette AIO Series 3, the Rs. 499 Bombay Shaving Company trimmer, the Rs. 588 Vega epilator-trimmer, the Rs. 1,149 and Rs. 1,759 Agaro units, the two Rs. 1,899 Ikonic 3-in-1 stylers, the Rs. 788 and Rs. 599 Wahl mini kits, the Rs. 1,889 Wahl mini straightener-curler, the Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 3,199 Braun face and Silk-epil units, and the second Rs. 24,900 Dyson Supersonic in Nickel, which is the same machine and the same price as the one we seated in a different colour. One listing we deliberately excluded on relevance rather than duplication: a Rs. 5,699 Eureka Forbes Buddy Pet Grooming Kit at 61 per cent off a stated Rs. 14,500, which our hair-clipper and grooming-kit queries returned but which is a dog-grooming product and does not belong on a page about personal care. No bundles or multipacks appear in this pull, so none were excluded on that basis.

What we look for

We counted what each listing title actually states, across all 76

We ran twelve queries against reliancedigital.in's own product search on August 3, 2026 - trimmer, shaver, shaver for men, body groomer, grooming kit, hair clipper, nose trimmer, hair dryer, hair dryer for women, hair straightener, hair curler and epilator - one page each, and merged the results into 76 distinct listings that each carry a selling price, a stated MRP above it and a product image. Then we read the titles, because on a Reliance Digital search-results page the title is the only specification a shopper gets. Fourteen of the 76 state a battery runtime. Twelve of those fourteen are cheaper, less established brands quoting 60 to 180 minutes; the other two are Philips, quoting 30 and 45 minutes, the two smallest figures in the set. Eleven of the 15 hair dryers state a wattage, and the four that do not are the two Rs. 24,900 Dysons, a Rs. 2,849 Philips and a Rs. 1,759 Agaro. Not one of the 15 straightener and curler listings states a plate temperature, a plate width or a wattage. Every count on this page is a count of what appears in those titles, and nothing more.

We checked the badge against the brand, and the pattern is absolute

Philips accounts for 27 of the 76 listings, more than a third of the aisle, and is the only brand that appears in every sub-category we searched. Its discounts run from 4 per cent to 31 per cent, with a median of 15. Every other brand in the pool has a median of 46 per cent. And the split is total: all 42 listings discounted more than 31 per cent are non-Philips, and every one of the 27 Philips listings sits at 31 per cent or below. So a shopper sorting this aisle by discount will not see a Philips until the forty-third result. That is ordinary retail - an established brand protects its price and a challenger buys attention with a badge - but it means the percentage on a grooming listing at Reliance Digital is telling you something about the brand's market position rather than about the value of the machine. The overall median discount across all 76 listings is 34 per cent, which is a useful mental baseline: below it you are usually looking at a name people ask for, above it you are usually looking at one that has to introduce itself.

We read the stated MRPs against each other and flagged the ones doing work

Two Lifelong trimmers with different model numbers and different stated runtimes share a stated MRP of Rs. 1,800 while selling at Rs. 549 and Rs. 699. Two Philips trimmers share a stated Rs. 995 while selling at Rs. 688 and Rs. 849. Three listings share a stated Rs. 2,999 and three more share Rs. 1,199. BPL's straightener MRPs in this pool run from Rs. 1,199 to Rs. 3,999 across listings the titles give you no way to tell apart, which is how a 73 per cent badge and a 61 per cent badge end up on two products from the same brand where the cheaper one is the better-described. We are not alleging anything about how any of these prices are set - we cannot see any retailer's or brand's pricing history, and a shared MRP across a product family is entirely normal. What we are saying is that a percentage computed off a stated list price shared by several products is not comparable to one computed off a list price unique to a single product, and that the rupee price is the number to compare.

No ratings, no testing, and no claim of ours about any of this equipment

The Reliance Digital search-results markup we read carries no customer rating and no review count for any of these 76 listings, so not one pick on this page has a rating pill and we have not imported a star score from a marketplace listing of the same model to fill the gap - a rating attached to a different seller's page is not a rating of this one. We have not used, tested, opened, charged or handled any product here. Every runtime in minutes, wattage in watts, attachment count, trimming range in millimetres, IPX rating, warranty term, charging port and feature claim on this page is quoted from Reliance Digital's own listing title and is unverified by us. Where we describe how a category generally behaves - that watts on a hair dryer measure power draw rather than drying speed, that plate temperature and width are what decide a straightener, that power draw is a cheap specification to increase - that is general understanding stated as such, not a test result and not a finding about any specific product on this page. Warranty, service and return terms should be confirmed with Reliance Digital before you buy.

FAQs

Which beard trimmer should I buy at Reliance Digital under Rs. 1,000?

On the information the listings give you, the choice at that rung is between a stated number and a known name. The Lifelong LLPCM17 at Rs. 499 states a 3hr runtime, six combs covering 3mm to 12mm and a digital display - the largest runtime figure of any of the 76 listings we read on August 3, 2026. The Philips BT1230/18 at Rs. 688 states 30 minutes of runtime and three length settings, which are the smallest figures in the same pool. The Wahl 09916-2724 at Rs. 788 states 60 minutes, six length settings and a travel lock, and it is the only listing in the entire aisle that mentions a travel lock. We cannot tell you which is the better trimmer, because we have not used any of them, the runtime claims are the sellers' own and unverified, and Reliance Digital's search listings carry no ratings or review counts we could weigh them against. What we can tell you is that at this price band the stated specification and the price move in opposite directions, and that a big number in a title is a way of buying your attention rather than evidence of anything.

Why are Philips grooming products never heavily discounted at Reliance Digital?

We cannot tell you why, but the pattern in our August 3, 2026 pull is absolute. Philips accounts for 27 of the 76 grooming listings we read, more than a third of the aisle, and it is the only brand present in every sub-category we searched. Its discounts run from 4 per cent on the Rs. 6,499 MG9532 16-in-1 to 31 per cent on the Rs. 688 BT1230 trimmer, with a median of 15 per cent. Every one of the 42 listings discounted more than 31 per cent belongs to another brand - BPL, Lifelong, Wahl, Xiaomi, Agaro, Ikonic, Eureka Forbes - and the median discount across all non-Philips listings is 46 per cent. The ordinary retail reading is that a brand people walk in asking for by name does not need to buy attention with a badge, while a challenger does, and that stated MRPs are set accordingly. We are describing the arithmetic on the page and alleging nothing about how any brand or retailer sets its prices, which we cannot see. The practical consequence for you is to compare the rupee price rather than the percentage.

Does a higher wattage mean a better hair dryer?

Not on the evidence this aisle provides, and not as a general matter either. Watts measure how much power a dryer draws, not how fast it dries hair - that depends on the motor design and the airflow, which no listing here states. Of the 15 hair dryer listings we read on August 3, 2026, eleven state a wattage. Five of them state exactly 1200 W and sell at Rs. 488, Rs. 1,049, Rs. 1,479, Rs. 1,509 and Rs. 1,809, a 3.7-fold spread on one identical figure, which on its own shows that the number is not what sets the price. The highest figure stated anywhere in the aisle is 2100 W on a Rs. 2,688 Philips, and an Agaro at Rs. 1,399 states 2000 W. Meanwhile the four dryers that state no wattage at all include both Dyson Supersonics at Rs. 24,900, whose entire marketing argument is that airflow engineering rather than raw power is what matters - that is Dyson's claim, not ours, and we have not tested it or anything else on this page. Raising power draw is one of the cheapest ways to make a dryer's spec look better, which is a general point about the category rather than a finding about any listing here.

Do Reliance Digital hair straightener listings tell you the plate temperature?

No. We read 15 straightener and curler listings in this pull, from a BPL at Rs. 469 to the Dyson Airstrait at Rs. 29,900, and not one of them states a plate temperature in degrees, a plate width in millimetres, a heat-up time or a wattage. That is the specification gap most worth knowing about, because plate temperature and plate width are the two things that actually decide whether a straightening iron suits your hair type and length, and no amount of ceramic coated or titanium plates wording substitutes for them. The trimmer aisle at least argues about runtime minutes and the dryer aisle argues about watts; the straightener aisle offers no shared number at all, which leaves a shopper comparing only brand and price. Notably the cheapest listing of the 76, the Rs. 469 BPL, states more about itself - ceramic coated plates, auto thermo protect, an LED indicator and a two-year warranty - than the Rs. 29,900 Dyson does. If you are buying a straightener above the entry level, the manufacturer's own specification page is the only place to compare, and we would read it before ordering.

Are there customer ratings on Reliance Digital grooming listings?

None appeared in what we read. The Reliance Digital search-results markup we pulled on August 3, 2026 carries no rating value and no review count for any of the 76 grooming listings in our sample, so no pick on this page has a rating pill. We have deliberately not substituted a star score from Amazon, Flipkart or a brand site for the same model, because a rating attached to a different seller's listing is not a rating of this one and pasting it in would give a false impression of verification. That absence shapes what this page can be. Everything here is about price, stated MRP, discount percentage and what each listing title claims, and none of it is about how these machines actually cut, dry, straighten, hold a charge or survive three years of use - because we have not used any of them and no buyer feedback was available on the page to stand in for that. Ratings may well be visible on individual product pages on the site; we are reporting only on the search results we read.

More Reliance Digital coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP and discount percentage here was read from Reliance Digital's own product search pages at reliancedigital.in on August 3, 2026, and all of them can change without notice. Our pull ran twelve queries at one page of results each and retained only listings that carry a selling price, a stated MRP above that selling price and a product image - which means any listing selling at its MRP with no discount was excluded by the method, so we cannot and do not claim that everything in this aisle is discounted. That gave 76 distinct listings after de-duplication, and the 25 seated here are all single products; no bundles or multipacks were in the sample. Every count on this page - 14 listings stating a runtime, 11 of 15 dryers stating a wattage, zero of 15 straighteners stating a temperature, 27 Philips listings, 42 listings above 31 per cent off - is a count of what appears in those 76 listing titles as we read them on that date, and nothing more; a specification absent from a title may well appear on the manufacturer's own product page, and in several cases certainly does. We are describing what a shopper is shown on the search page, not what the product is. The Reliance Digital search markup we read carries no customer rating and no review count for any of these listings, so no pick on this page has a rating pill and we have not substituted a rating from any other retailer or marketplace. We have not used, tested, charged, opened or handled any product on this page. Every runtime in minutes, wattage in watts, attachment count, length-setting count, trimming range in millimetres, IPX rating, warranty term, charging port, plate coating and feature claim is quoted from Reliance Digital's own listing title and is unverified by us, including phrases such as fast charging, non-scratching teeth, auto thermo protect, even heating and easy handling, which are the seller's wording rather than findings. Statements about how these categories generally work - that watts measure power draw rather than drying speed, that plate temperature and width decide a straightener, that power draw is an inexpensive specification to raise - reflect general understanding and are labelled as such, not test results. Availability, warranty terms, service network coverage, installation and return windows should all be confirmed with Reliance Digital before you order.
