A clock ticking down in hours is the strongest urgency signal a deals page has. MakeMyTrip's offers grid had nine of them when we looked — and every one was counting down to the same midnight.

We read 99 offer cards at about 15:03 IST on 20 October 2026. All nine countdowns have since expired, which is rather the point: they reset. The dates worth paying attention to on that page turned out to be the quiet ones in the middle of the month.

📅 Update log:
20 October 2026 — First publication. Read the same day at about 15:03 IST: makemytrip.com/offers/ rendered in a headless browser (a plain fetch returns an HTTP/2 error), logged out, from India, with nothing booked, no code applied and MakeMyTrip not contacted; 99 offer cards captured in one pass. Recorded from this read: 9 cards carrying an hour-level countdown, every one reading between 08h:56m and 08h:57m remaining and therefore all expiring at midnight on 20 October 2026, with three of the nine being the same MMTFESTIVE code; 67 cards carrying a fixed calendar date and 23 carrying no expiry at all; the dated cards clustering on 30 December (17), 31 October (13), 31 December (11) and 30 November (7), being 48 of the 67 on four month-end days; near-term dates of 22 October (3 cards, Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines sales), 24 October (villas and homestays), 26 October (Air Astana free baggage), 27 October and 30 October; 10 November for ITC Hotels; and one card still displaying "Expires on 30 Sep", three weeks past on the day of the read. Every countdown offer named on this page expired at midnight on 20 October 2026 and is written up in the past tense as an illustration of the page's timekeeping, not as an available offer. This read corroborates blog 1972 of 14 October, which recorded that MMTFESTIVE ends on 20 October: at 15:03 on 20 October the code showed 8 hours 57 minutes remaining. No terms were opened and no discount was verified. Coverage checked before writing: existing MakeMyTrip pages cover code lists, card offers, bus codes, hotel offers and flight-sale dates; none covers how the offers page dates its cards.

Nine countdowns, one midnight

We read makemytrip.com's own offers page at about 15:03 IST on 20 October 2026 — 99 offer cards, logged out, from India, nothing booked.

Nine of them carried an hour-level countdown, and every single one read 08h:56m or 08h:57m. They all pointed at the same instant: midnight. Three of the nine were the same code, MMTFESTIVE, on three different cards.

Those nine offers have expired. They ran out at midnight on 20 October, at or before the moment this page went live, and nothing here is presenting them as available. They are worth writing up for what they show about the page's clock, not as deals to chase.

A countdown that resets at midnight every day is not a closing-soon signal. It is a daily promotion stating the truth about when the day ends, which is ordinary and perfectly proper. The useful thing to know is simply that it reads as rarer than it is.

The page runs three clocks at once

Kind of expiryCardsWhat it looks like
An hour-level countdown9"Expires in 08h:56m" — all nine landed on midnight, 20 October
A fixed calendar date67"Expires on 31 Oct", "Expires on 30 Dec" and so on
No expiry shown at all23Nothing on the card to date it
Total cards read99makemytrip.com/offers/, 20 October 2026, about 15:03 IST

Two-thirds of the page is dated, a quarter is undated, and a tenth is on a countdown. The three kinds sit side by side in the same grid, styled the same way, which is why the countdown ones draw the eye.

Where the fixed dates actually fall

Expiry dateCardsNote
30 September1Already three weeks past on the day we read it
22 October3Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines sales
24 October1Flat 20% off villas and homestays
26 October1Air Astana free baggage allowance
27 October1Up to 35% off trips
30 October1Up to 30% off plus interest-free EMI
31 October13The biggest near-term cluster
10 November1ITC Hotels, up to 20% off
30 November7—
30 December17The single largest group on the page
31 December11—
31 March2Visa Signature card benefits

Forty-eight of the 67 dated cards expire on one of four month-end days. Thirty December alone carries 17 of them. That is the signature of a standing offer written to a quarter or a season, not of something about to disappear.

The genuinely short-dated items are the odd mid-month ones — the Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines sales to 22 October, villas and homestays to 24 October, Air Astana to 26 October. Those run on an airline's or a property's own schedule, and they are the cards where a deadline means something.

One card had already expired. A "Get Flat 50% OFF*" tile was still on the page stamped "Expires on 30 Sep" — three weeks past on the day we read it. We are not alleging anything improper; stale tiles are common on large offers pages. It is a reason to read the card's own terms rather than trusting the grid.

How to read a MakeMyTrip offer card

What the card showsWhat it actually meansWhy
A countdown in hoursTreat it as goneIt is a daily clock, not a rare event. All nine on this page ran out at the same midnight.
A month-end date (31 Oct, 30 Nov, 30 Dec)Treat it as the standing offer48 of 67 dated cards sat on four month-end days. These are the page's furniture.
An odd mid-month date (22, 24, 26 Oct)This is the real deadlineAirline and property sales with their own schedule — the only genuinely time-limited things we found.
No date at allCheck the terms before you count on it23 cards gave no expiry. The card is not a promise of availability.
A date already in the pastAssume it is deadOne card still displayed "Expires on 30 Sep" on 20 October.

This is the whole of the practical advice on this page. The cards that look most urgent are the least urgent, and the cards that look like routine month-end furniture are exactly that. The deadline worth respecting is the odd date in the middle of a month.

A note on the asterisks, and on what we could not check

Almost every discount on this page is an "up to" figure with an asterisk. "Up to 35% OFF*", "Up to Rs. 9,000 OFF*", "Flat 12% OFF*" — the asterisk points at conditions, maximum discount caps, minimum booking values, route restrictions and card requirements that sit behind each card.

We did not open and verify the terms behind all 99 cards, and we are not repeating any of these figures as a promise of what you will save. Several cards name a specific bank or card — ICICI, IndusInd VISA Debit, Visa Signature, Visa Infinite — and are worthless without it. The only number that is real is the one in your cart after the code is applied.

How this page was read: makemytrip.com rejects a plain fetch with an HTTP/2 error, so the offers page was rendered in a headless browser, logged out, from India, with nothing booked and MakeMyTrip not contacted. Ninety-nine cards were captured in one pass at about 15:03 IST on 20 October 2026. This is a snapshot of one afternoon — the countdown cards had already turned over by the time you are reading this.

What this page does not tell you

It does not list a single offer you can use today. Every countdown offer here expired at midnight on 20 October 2026 and every dated one was read on that afternoon. This is a page about how to read the offers grid, not a coupon list — for live codes, use the links above.

Nor have we verified a single discount. We did not book anything, apply a code, or read the full terms behind all 99 cards. The figures reproduced above are MakeMyTrip's own card text, including its asterisks, and the caps and conditions behind them are not something we can confirm.

And nothing here says MakeMyTrip has done anything wrong. A daily offer that ends at midnight is honestly described by a midnight countdown; a standing offer written to a month end is honestly described by that date. We are only pointing out that the three kinds look identical in the grid, and that one of them is not what a shopper's instinct says it is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the MakeMyTrip countdown offers still available?
No. Every countdown offer named on this page expired at midnight on 20 October 2026, which was within hours of us reading them and at or before the moment this page published. We are not presenting any of them as live, and you should not go looking for them. They are written up here as an example of how the page keeps time, not as deals to chase. When we read makemytrip.com/offers/ at about 15:03 IST on 20 October, nine cards showed an hour-level countdown and every one of them read 08h:56m or 08h:57m — so they all ran out at the same instant. For what is on the page today, use the live offers page or our MakeMyTrip coupon page; anything with a clock on it will have changed since.
Why did all nine countdowns show the same time left?
Because they were not nine separate flash sales. They were one daily reset. Reading the page at 15:03 IST, every countdown card showed between 8 hours 56 minutes and 8 hours 57 minutes remaining, which lands on midnight. Three of the nine were the same code, MMTFESTIVE, shown on three different cards. So nine urgent-looking tiles represented rather fewer than nine distinct offers, all ending together. We are not suggesting MakeMyTrip is doing anything improper — a midnight expiry on a daily promotion is completely ordinary retail practice, and the page is stating the truth. It just means a countdown here is not the rare, closing-soon signal it reads as.
Which MakeMyTrip offers actually had short deadlines?
The ones with odd mid-month dates on them, not the ones with clocks. On this read those were: Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines sales to 22 October, flat 20% off villas and homestays to 24 October, Air Astana free baggage to 26 October, up to 35% off trips to 27 October, and an EMI offer to 30 October. Each of those is an airline or property promotion running on its own schedule. By contrast, 13 cards expired on 31 October, 17 on 30 December and 11 on 31 December — 48 of the 67 dated cards sat on just four month-end days, which is the shape of standing offers, not of closing ones. All of these dates were read on 20 October 2026 and will have moved on; check the live page.
Can I trust a card with no expiry date?
Not as a guarantee of anything. Twenty-three of the 99 cards we read carried no expiry at all — no countdown, no date, nothing. Several of those were among the most prominent on the page, including bus offers and the MMTBLACK Rs. 150 card. An undated card is not a promise that an offer is permanent; it only means the page is not telling you when it ends. More pointedly, one card was still displaying "Expires on 30 Sep" when we read it on 20 October — three weeks past. We are not alleging anything improper by that; stale tiles happen on every large offers page. The practical rule is to open the offer's own terms and check the validity before you build a booking around it.
What is the sensible way to use this page?
Sort the cards by the kind of date they carry, not by the size of the discount. A countdown means a daily reset, so it is neither urgent nor reliable. A month-end date means a standing offer that will very likely be renewed. An odd mid-month date is the only thing on the page that is genuinely closing, and those are the cards worth acting on. No date at all means read the terms. Beyond that, the discounts themselves are almost all "up to" figures — "Up to 35% OFF*", "Up to Rs. 9,000 OFF*" — with an asterisk pointing at conditions, caps and card requirements we have not verified and are not repeating as promises. The number you can actually count on is the one in your cart.

Zoutons earns affiliate commission on some links on this page. It costs you nothing and it does not decide what we write. Every offer, code, expiry date and countdown above was displayed by makemytrip.com's own offers page when we rendered it at about 15:03 IST on 20 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing booked, no code applied and MakeMyTrip not contacted. EVERY COUNTDOWN OFFER NAMED ON THIS PAGE EXPIRED AT MIDNIGHT ON 20 OCTOBER 2026, AT OR BEFORE THE MOMENT THIS PAGE WAS PUBLISHED. None of them is presented as available and none should be relied on. The dated offers were read on that afternoon and will have changed. This is an explainer about how the offers page displays validity. It is not a coupon list. We did not open or verify the terms behind the 99 cards. Almost every figure quoted is an "up to" amount carrying an asterisk that points at conditions, maximum discount caps, minimum booking values, route restrictions and specific bank or card requirements, none of which we have confirmed; the figures are reproduced as MakeMyTrip's own card text and are not a promise of what you will save. NO WRONGDOING BY MAKEMYTRIP OR ANY PARTNER IS ALLEGED. A daily promotion that ends at midnight is honestly described by a midnight countdown, and a standing offer written to a month end is honestly described by that date; a stale tile on a page of 99 is ordinary. What MakeMyTrip publishes at the time you book prevails over anything here.
