Zoutons Picks — Vijay Sales Smartwatches and Laptops, August 2026

50 Vijay Sales listings read on August 7. No ratings anywhere, one brand that never discounts, and two aisles quoting MRPs from visibly different sources.

Prices & codes last verified August 7, 2026

A smartwatch wall is the easiest place in electronics to see how a discount gets set, because the products are cheap enough that the badges get extravagant. At Vijay Sales on August 7 the bottom of the wall ran from 38 to 76 per cent off. The top of it did not. Samsung has ten listings here, all discounted between 2 and 7 per cent, and every listing on the wall above Rs. 11,000 is one of them. The laptop aisle next door adds a second oddity: its stated MRPs are figures like Rs. 1,67,812 and Rs. 2,56,816, while every smartwatch MRP is a round Rs. 3,999 or Rs. 69,999. No listing anywhere publishes a rating. The 22 picks below are read on the rupees.

Every price below was pulled from Vijay Sales on August 7, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Vijay Sales coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

22 Picks From 50 Vijay Sales Listings, Read August 7

Chapter One

Under Rs. 3,500: Where the Badges Are 38 to 76 Per Cent

Seven watches at the bottom of the wall, every one discounted between 38 and 76 per cent. Two facts to carry forward. Two of them sell at the identical Rs. 2,499 with badges 26 points apart, because their stated MRPs differ by Rs. 3,000. And boAt states the same Rs. 5,999 MRP on a watch it sells at Rs. 1,499 and on another it sells at Rs. 3,499. The badge down here is describing a number the brand chose, not a price anyone paid.

Above Rs. 5,000: One Brand, and It Does Not Discount

Six watches from Rs. 5,499 to Rs. 64,999, and the wall changes character completely. Above Rs. 5,000 the deepest badge available is 31 per cent, against 76 at the bottom. Above Rs. 11,000 every single listing is a Samsung - ten of them - and all ten are discounted between 2 and 7 per cent. Chapter Three

The Laptop Aisle, Where the MRPs Are Not Round Numbers

Nine laptops from Rs. 40,599 to Rs. 2,69,990. Every one of the 27 smartwatch MRPs on this page is a round retail figure - Rs. 3,999, Rs. 4,995, Rs. 69,999. Only seven of the 23 laptop MRPs are. The rest read as computed numbers: Rs. 69,458, Rs. 1,08,850, Rs. 1,67,812, Rs. 2,56,816, Rs. 2,72,381. The badges built on those figures run to 59 per cent, and the badges built on the round ones run to 3.

Rs. 75,999 against a stated Rs. 1,84,990 - 59 per cent, on a sticker worth questioning.

Rs. 72,990 against a stated Rs. 74,990 - a 3 per cent badge in an aisle whose median is 35.

Why it earned its spot It closes the page by showing the arbitrary-MRP pattern is not confined to expensive laptops.

Rs. 57,499Rs. 69,45817% off

“Two watches on this wall sell at exactly Rs. 2,499. One is badged 64 per cent off and the other 38. The difference is entirely in a number each brand chose for itself.” Zoutons Editorial Team

How to read a shelf where one brand sits out the discounting

Four rules the numbers here support. First: never compare badges across brands on this wall, because Samsung's pricing behaviour is categorically different from boAt's or Noise's - a 7 per cent Samsung is the deepest that brand goes here, and a 38 per cent Redmi is that brand's shallow end. Second: when two listings share a rupee price, ignore the badges entirely; the Rs. 2,499 Noise and the Rs. 2,499 Redmi cost you exactly the same money. Third: in the laptop aisle, treat any six-figure MRP that is not a round number as a computed figure rather than a shelf price, and compare the selling price against other retailers instead. Fourth: with no ratings published anywhere on this shelf, weigh the service network heavily - on a Rs. 65,000 watch or a Rs. 2.7 lakh laptop, the question that matters in year two is who repairs it and where. Card and bank offers that stack on these prices are tracked on our Vijay Sales coupons page, re-verified daily by the deals desk.

What we skipped — and why

What we left out, and why: 28 of the 50 listings, nearly all of them duplicates. Vijay Sales' category grid returns the same product more than once with different child SKUs - the Fastrack Limitless FS2 appears twice at the identical Rs. 1,599, the Redmi Watch Move twice at Rs. 2,499, the boAt Chrome Iris twice at Rs. 3,499, and Samsung's Galaxy Watch 9 appears nine times across four price points that the grid does not clearly distinguish. We seated one card per product. We also passed several mid-range Lenovo and HP laptop configurations that sit within a few thousand rupees of machines already on this page and would restate rather than add. Nothing was excluded for being inconvenient: the 0 per cent Lenovo, the 2 per cent Samsung and the Rs. 40,599 Celeron are all seated. All 50 listings remain in every count and range quoted above.

What we look for

Three category pages, price and stated MRP both required

On August 7, 2026 we read three Vijay Sales category pages - smart watches, laptops and mobile phones - and kept every listing returning both a selling price and a stated MRP. The mobile phone page returned no qualifying listings, so this page covers the 27 smartwatches and 23 laptops that did, 50 in total, which is the denominator for every count here. Vijay Sales renders roughly 27 product cards per category server-side and paginates the rest client-side, so this is one page of each aisle rather than the whole catalogue - a real limit on how far these findings generalise, and one we would rather state than gloss.

Brand-level discount ranges were computed before anything was written

We grouped the smartwatch wall by brand first, and the page structure follows what came out. Samsung: ten listings, every one discounted between 2 and 7 per cent, and all ten of the wall's listings above Rs. 11,000 are Samsung. Every other brand present - boAt, Fastrack, Noise, Redmi, CMF - carries badges from 14 to 76 per cent. Noise alone spans 5 to 64. We can measure that split and we cannot explain it. Brand-mandated minimum pricing, differing margin structures and stock age are all plausible, none of them is visible from a retailer's category page, and we have deliberately not asserted any of them about any named brand.

The two aisles' stated MRPs were checked for roundness

All 27 smartwatch MRPs on this page are round retail figures ending in 999, 995 or 990 - fourteen distinct values, all of the kind a person sets for a shelf. Only 7 of the 23 laptop MRPs take that form. The other sixteen include Rs. 69,458, Rs. 77,898, Rs. 1,08,850, Rs. 1,19,390, Rs. 1,54,920, Rs. 1,67,812, Rs. 1,73,698, Rs. 2,21,290, Rs. 2,30,290, Rs. 2,51,890, Rs. 2,56,816 and Rs. 2,72,381. We report this as a description of the figures rather than an accusation: we do not know what produces them, and a stated MRP is a reference figure rather than evidence of a past selling price in either aisle.

No rating exists anywhere in the pull, so none is used

Not one of the 50 listings publishes a star rating or a review count. That is a total absence rather than a thin sample. Consequently no rating pill appears on any pick, nothing on this page is ranked by score, and no product is recommended over another on the basis of what buyers reported. For smartwatches in particular that is a real loss, because the things that decide whether one is worth owning - whether the heart-rate sensor is usable during exercise, whether the app is tolerable, whether the battery claim survives daily use - are exactly what a few hundred owners can settle and a specification sheet cannot.

We have not handled any of these products

Nothing on this page has been worn, switched on or typed on by us. Every specification quoted - AMOLED panel sizes, nits of brightness, sports-mode counts, dual-band GPS, LTE support, military-standard ruggedness, processor generations, RAM and storage - is the listing's own claim, reported as a claim and not verified. Two categories of claim deserve particular caution here: sports-mode counts on inexpensive watches, which generally relabel the same accelerometer data rather than measuring 25 different things, and GPU details on gaming laptops, which several of these listing titles omit entirely even though the GPU decides the purchase.

FAQs

Why are Samsung smartwatches barely discounted at Vijay Sales?

We can report the pattern precisely and we cannot explain its cause. Across the smartwatch category page we read on August 7, 2026, Samsung appeared ten times - Galaxy Watch 9 in 40mm and 44mm, Bluetooth and LTE, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 - and every one of those ten listings carried a discount between 2 and 7 per cent. Every other brand on the same page ranged from 14 to 76 per cent. Samsung also held all ten of the listings priced above Rs. 11,000. Brand-mandated minimum pricing is the ordinary explanation for this shape in Indian electronics retail, but it is not visible from a category page and we are not asserting it. The practical consequence for a shopper is straightforward: on these particular listings there is very little discount to wait for, so compare the rupee price across retailers rather than watching for a sale.

Two watches cost Rs. 2,499 but show different discounts. Which is the better deal?

Neither, on the evidence of the badges - they cost you exactly the same money. The Noise NoiseFit Twist 2 is Rs. 2,499 against a stated MRP of Rs. 6,999, which computes to 64 per cent. The Redmi Watch Move is Rs. 2,499 against a stated Rs. 3,999, which computes to 38. The entire twenty-six-point difference lives in the stated MRP, a figure each brand sets for its own listing, and neither number changes what leaves your account. This is the clearest single illustration on this page of why discount sorting misleads: it ranks by the size of a claim rather than by the size of a price. Choose between those two watches on display size, on which companion app you can live with, and on which brand has service where you live.

Are the laptop MRPs at Vijay Sales real prices?

We do not know what they are, and the form of the numbers is worth noticing. Of the 23 laptops we read, sixteen state MRPs that are not round retail figures - Rs. 69,458, Rs. 77,898, Rs. 1,08,850, Rs. 1,19,390, Rs. 1,54,920, Rs. 1,67,812, Rs. 1,73,698, Rs. 2,21,290, Rs. 2,30,290, Rs. 2,51,890, Rs. 2,56,816 and Rs. 2,72,381 among them. Printed price tags in India do not usually end in 458 or 816. By contrast every one of the 27 smartwatch MRPs on the same site is a round Rs. 3,999 or Rs. 69,999. Whatever produces the laptop figures is evidently not what produces the smartwatch ones. We are describing the numbers, not alleging anything about them. The safe response is to ignore the percentage in that aisle and compare the selling price against other retailers.

Is a Rs. 1,500 smartwatch worth buying, or should I save for a Rs. 38,000 one?

They are different products rather than different grades of the same one, and this page prices both ends. A Rs. 1,499 to Rs. 3,500 watch will show notifications, count steps, take a Bluetooth call and last a few days on a charge - and it will not give you reliable heart-rate data during exercise, accurate GPS tracking, meaningful app support, or a repair path when the strap lug snaps. A Rs. 38,000 Samsung runs a real operating system with third-party apps, records exercise with hardware you can trust, and has a service network. Between them, at Rs. 8,499, the CMF sits with dual-band GPS, which is the specification that actually changes what a watch can measure. If you want a notification screen, buy at the bottom. If you want an instrument, the Rs. 8,000-Rs. 11,000 band is where one starts.

Why does Vijay Sales not show ratings or reviews?

The site does not explain it, and all we can report is the scope: across all 50 listings we read from three category pages, not one carried a star average or a review count. That is total rather than partial. For smartwatches it is a particular loss, because the questions that decide whether one is worth owning - is the heart-rate sensor usable while running, does the app stay connected, does the two-week battery claim survive real use, does the strap survive a monsoon - are exactly the things a few hundred owners settle and a specification sheet never does. Without them the workable substitutes are the brand's service presence in your city, the return window, and reading the same model's reviews on a marketplace that does publish them before buying it here.

Vijay Sales renders roughly 27 product cards per category server-side and paginates the remainder client-side, so this is one page of each aisle rather than the complete catalogue, and the findings should be read with that limit attached. Prices change frequently and nothing here is guaranteed to persist. The central findings - that Samsung's ten smartwatch listings are all discounted between 2 and 7 per cent while every other brand on the wall runs from 14 to 76, that all ten listings above Rs. 11,000 are Samsung, that all 27 smartwatch MRPs are round retail figures while only 7 of 23 laptop MRPs are, and that no listing publishes a star rating or review count - are descriptions of those category pages on that day. We do not know why one brand's listings discount so narrowly; brand-mandated minimum pricing, margin structure and stock age are all plausible, none is visible from outside the businesses involved, and we have deliberately not asserted any of them about Samsung or any other brand named here. Where we describe a stated MRP as not resembling a shelf price, we are describing the form of the number and are not alleging that any retailer or brand has breached any law or rule. A stated MRP is a seller's reference figure and is not evidence that any product ever sold at it. Every specification quoted - display sizes and panel types, brightness in nits, sports-mode counts, dual-band GPS, LTE, military-standard ruggedness claims, processor generations, RAM and storage capacities - is the listing's own claim, reported as a claim and not verified by us. We have not worn, switched on, tested or benchmarked any product on this page.
