When two retailers list the same massage gun at the same stated maximum retail price, the interesting thing is not the price gap. On this shelf that gap is Rs. 20 to Rs. 49.

It is the review count. We read 69 listings across Amazon and Flipkart on 20 October 2026, and one model that costs almost exactly the same on both sites carries 46 ratings on one and 6,132 on the other.

📅 Update log:
20 October 2026 — First publication. Read the same day, within minutes of each other: amazon.in's own search results for "body massager" (30 listings after sponsored placements were dropped and duplicate ASINs removed) and flipkart.com's own search results for "body massager" (39 listings, via a window.__INITIAL_STATE__ parse), both logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and neither retailer contacted. Recorded from this read: three models matching on brand, model name and stated MRP across both sites — the AGEasy (Max Group) Relief Compact at Rs. 949 on Amazon and Rs. 998 on Flipkart against a stated Rs. 1,499, the Caresmith Charge at Rs. 779 and Rs. 799 against a stated Rs. 1,250, and the Caresmith Revive scalp massager at Rs. 877 and Rs. 924 against a stated Rs. 1,500, Amazon cheaper in all three by under 6%; rating counts on those three of 46 vs 6,132, 869 vs 5,005 and 2,628 vs 6,810; Dr Physio, Lifelong and Cult each appearing on both shelves under different model names with gaps of Rs. 407, Rs. 300 and Rs. 306; Amazon prices from Rs. 166 to Rs. 1,897 with a median of Rs. 888 and a median badge of 66%; Flipkart prices from Rs. 216 to Rs. 6,132 with a median of Rs. 709 and a median badge of 67%; all 30 Amazon listings rated against 4 of Flipkart's 39 publishing no rating; the deepest pool being 75,988 on a Dr Physio 1021 on Flipkart; three Miggon listings at Rs. 684, Rs. 693 and Rs. 703 all sharing 38 ratings, two Sicaro RP201 listings sharing 33 and two Boldfit scalp massagers on Amazon sharing 149; and the two dearest listings on either shelf being ARG Healthcare floor machines on Flipkart at Rs. 5,597 and Rs. 6,132. Nothing was switched on or tested, and no health claim in any listing name is repeated as fact or endorsed. Coverage checked before writing: no massager page of any kind existed.

Where the model really matches, the two sites are within Rs. 50

We read both retailers' own search results for body massager on 20 October 2026 — 30 Amazon listings and 39 Flipkart listings, logged out, from India, nothing purchased.

Three models appeared on both shelves under the same name and the same stated MRP. The biggest price gap between them was Rs. 49. Amazon was cheaper in all three cases, by between 2.5% and 5%.

The review counts on those same three models were not close at all — one of them carries 6,132 ratings on Flipkart and 46 on Amazon.

ModelAmazonFlipkartStated MRPGapRatings (A vs F)
AGEasy (Max Group) Relief Compact massage gunRs. 949Rs. 998Rs. 1,499 bothRs. 4946 vs 6,132

Caresmith Revive scalp massagerRs. 877Rs. 924Rs. 1,500 bothRs. 472,628 vs 6,810

A Rs. 20 to Rs. 49 spread is the real answer to "which site is cheaper" for these three. It is small enough that delivery date, return window and which account you already have saved are the better tie-breakers.

Where the names diverge, the prices diverge too

BeurerMG 79 gentle gun, Rs. 990—Rs. 6,422240

These are not the same product at two prices and we are not presenting them that way. Dr Physio's Dynamo and its 1021 are different models; so are Lifelong's LLGM109 and LLM171, and Cult's Volt Neo and Volt. The gaps of Rs. 300 to Rs. 407 are telling you about different configurations, not about retailer pricing.

What is comparable is the stated MRP each carries. Cult's Volt Neo on Amazon is measured against Rs. 5,624 and the Volt on Flipkart against Rs. 3,749 — so the Amazon listing prints a bigger badge while costing Rs. 306 more. No stated MRP here is being called false and no wrongdoing is alleged; it is simply why the badge is the wrong column to sort on.

Flipkart's median is Rs. 179 lower and its range is more than three times wider. Amazon's shelf stops at Rs. 1,897; Flipkart's runs on to Rs. 6,132, and that top end is two ARG Healthcare floor machines rather than anything handheld.

Amazon rated everything; Flipkart left four listings with no star average and no review count at all. Flipkart does hold the deepest single pool we saw anywhere — 75,988 ratings on a Dr Physio 1021.

A note on what these products claim, and what we are not saying

Almost every listing on both shelves has words like "Pain Relief", "Deep Tissue", "Therapy", "Blood Circulation" or "USA" in its product name. Those are the sellers' own product names. We are reproducing them to identify the listings and for no other reason. We have not tested any of these devices, we make no medical or therapeutic claim on behalf of any of them, and nothing here says any of them will relieve pain.

If you have persistent pain, a doctor or a physiotherapist is the right place to start — not a product title, and not a price comparison page. Anyone pregnant, with a pacemaker or other implanted device, with circulatory or nerve conditions, or recovering from an injury should take clinical advice before using a percussion device at all.

What this page can honestly tell you is what each listing charged on 20 October 2026, what it claimed as its maximum retail price, and how many people had rated it. That is the whole of our evidence.

Each block of rows above shares one rating count, which is the fingerprint of a shared review pool. The three Miggon listings are Rs. 19 apart at most; the two Sicaro listings and the two Boldfit listings are identical in every visible field.

This is ordinary variant listing and not something we allege anything by. It is worth knowing only because it makes a results page look deeper than the choice actually is — and because, where three tiles are one product, the cheapest of them is simply the right one.

How we matched models across the two shelves

We treated two listings as the same model only when the brand, the model name and the stated MRP all matched. That left three pairs out of 69 listings. Everything else — including pairs sharing a brand and a broad description — is reported as different models, with both names printed, so you can see exactly what is being compared.

Both pulls were read within minutes of each other on 20 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and neither retailer contacted. Amazon returned 30 listings after sponsored placements were dropped and duplicate ASINs removed; Flipkart returned 39. Prices on both sites change daily; a single read is a snapshot, not a trend.

What this page does not tell you

This is a price read, not a product test and not health advice. Nothing was switched on, held against a muscle, or measured for RPM, amplitude, noise or battery life. Speed counts, head counts, "4000 RPM", "percussion" and every health-sounding phrase in a product name above are the listings' own words, reproduced to identify them and not verified or endorsed by us.

Nor does it tell you today's price. Every figure here was returned on 20 October 2026. Check both listings before buying, compare the full model name rather than the brand, and read the review count on each site separately — on this shelf the same device can carry 6,132 ratings in one place and 46 in the other.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a massage gun cost on Amazon and Flipkart?
Most of the usable shelf on either site is Rs. 700 to Rs. 1,400. Across the 69 listings we read on 20 October 2026, Amazon ran from Rs. 166 to Rs. 1,897 with a median of Rs. 888, and Flipkart from Rs. 216 to Rs. 6,132 with a median of Rs. 709. The very cheap end on both is not a percussion gun at all — a Rs. 166 manual face roller on Amazon, Rs. 216 handheld vibration units on Flipkart. This is a price read only. We did not switch on, hold or test a single device, and we make no claim about what any of them does.
Is one site cheaper than the other for the same model?
Barely, where the model genuinely matches. Three models appeared on both shelves under the same name and the same stated MRP, and the gaps were small: the AGEasy Relief Compact at Rs. 949 on Amazon and Rs. 998 on Flipkart (Rs. 49 apart, both against a stated Rs. 1,499), the Caresmith Charge at Rs. 779 and Rs. 799 (Rs. 20 apart, both against Rs. 1,250) and the Caresmith Revive scalp massager at Rs. 877 and Rs. 924 (Rs. 47 apart, both against Rs. 1,500). Amazon was the cheaper of the two in all three, by under 6%. Where the gaps got large — Rs. 300 to Rs. 407 on Dr Physio, Lifelong and Cult — the model names were different, so those are not the same product at two prices and we do not present them as such.
Why does the same model have 6,132 ratings on one site and 46 on the other?
We can only report that it does. The AGEasy (Max Group) Relief Compact massage gun carries 6,132 ratings on Flipkart and 46 on Amazon — a 133-fold difference on listings that name the same model at nearly the same price. The Caresmith pairs show the same pattern more mildly: 5,005 against 869, and 6,810 against 2,628. The ordinary explanation is simply that a product can sell for far longer, or far better, on one marketplace than the other, and we are not suggesting anything improper by anyone. What it means for you is practical: if you are using review depth to decide, check both listings, because the same device can look proven on one site and untested on the other.
What are the Rs. 5,597 and Rs. 6,132 machines on Flipkart?
They are the two dearest listings on either shelf and they are a different kind of product from a handheld gun — floor-standing vibration platforms and circulation machines from a seller called ARG Healthcare, listed against stated MRPs of Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 12,499. Their listing names make health claims. We are not repeating those claims, we have not tested the machines, and nothing on this page should be read as saying they do or do not work. Amazon's shelf had no equivalent, stopping at Rs. 1,897. If you are buying any of this because something hurts, that is a question for a doctor or a physiotherapist, not for a price comparison page — and certainly not for a product title.
Why do three Miggon listings show the same 38 ratings?
Because they share one review pool. Three Flipkart listings for a Miggon 4-head massage gun sell at Rs. 684, Rs. 693 and Rs. 703, all against a stated MRP of Rs. 2,199, and all three carry exactly 38 ratings. Two Sicaro RP201 listings share 33, and on Amazon two Boldfit scalp massagers at Rs. 749 share 149. This is in all likelihood ordinary variant handling, and it is not a defect or anything we allege wrongdoing about. The consequence for a shopper is small but real: three tiles that look like three choices are one product, and buying the Rs. 703 one gets you nothing the Rs. 684 one does not.
