Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page came from the product data flipkart.com itself serves on its search results, read on 24 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought and customer service not contacted. The queries were "resistance band", "skipping rope", "gym gloves" and "vacuum flask", two pages each, returning 243 distinct listings, of which 20 are seated below. Every count, median and range on this page is computed over all 243, not over the 20.
A shared rating pool means the same average and the same count
We treated two listings as sharing a pool only when both the star average and the rating count match exactly - 4.0 and 29,383, not 4.0 and a similar number. On that test, 47 of the 195 rated listings (24.1%) sit in one of 18 shared pools. The largest covers five listings; the median shared pool spans a 1.19x price range and the widest spans 3.17x.
This is how variant grouping works, and we say so
Flipkart groups variants of a product and displays the group's review history on each listing. Nothing on this page alleges that any rating is fake, bought or improperly placed, and we have not examined a single review. The finding is only that a rating count cannot distinguish two tiles that share one, so it is not a safe tie-breaker between them - which matters because it is one of the few signals a shopper can sort by.
Stated MRPs are reported, not adjudicated
A stated MRP is the figure a listing prints. We report it, divide by it and compare it across the shelf - eight of the 243 listings state an MRP more than eight times their selling price, topping out at 12.9x - but nothing here asserts that any such figure is false or improper. Identical strike-throughs across sellers are ordinary commerce, reported as fact and not as allegation.

Because Flipkart groups variants of one product and shows the group's review pool on every listing in the group. In this read, five SLOVIC resistance band listings at Rs. 156, Rs. 217, Rs. 301, Rs. 375 and Rs. 495 all display 4.0 stars from 29,383 ratings. That is a 3.17x price spread under one review history. The same thing happens on five SKYFIT glove listings (4.2 / 37,867, prices Rs. 183 to Rs. 190) and on three HILTON flasks (3.8 / 797, Rs. 386 to Rs. 582). This is normal platform behaviour, not a fault. The practical consequence is narrow but real: if you are choosing between two tiles and using "which has more reviews" to break the tie, and they share a pool, you are comparing a number to itself. Across all 243 listings we read, 47 of the 195 that carry a rating - 24.1% - are in one of 18 shared pools.

MILTON, an established Indian housewares house, shows 4.2 stars from 943 ratings on three Eiffel flask listings that are two different capacities - a 480 ml at Rs. 312 and two 910 ml at Rs. 404 and Rs. 416. So the grouping there spans a near-doubling of volume, not just a colour change. MILTON also shows 4.2 / 25,862 on two Eco-Flip 500 listings at Rs. 632 and Rs. 717. NIVIA, a recognised sports brand, shows 4.0 / 178 on a Scorpion glove listed at both Rs. 326 and Rs. 409. What does split by brand is the badge, not the pooling: MILTON and NIVIA listings here carry badges of 4% to 31%, while the deep-badge labels run 56% to 92%.

It varies sharply by shelf, and it rises as the ticket price falls: vacuum flasks median 60% (prices Rs. 230 to Rs. 1,274), gym gloves 66%, skipping ropes 75%, resistance bands 78% (Rs. 81 to Rs. 670). The stated MRP is a median of 3.22x the selling price, and eight listings state more than 8x - the extreme being a Rs. 62 skipping rope against a stated Rs. 799, a 12.9x multiple. The shallowest badge in the whole read is 4%, on a NIVIA glove at Rs. 288.
Two listings showed us the same photograph. What does that mean?
It means the two tiles are almost certainly the same product entry listed twice at two prices. Our upload step hashes every image file before sending it to our own CDN, specifically so that two tiles sharing one photograph cannot both appear on a page. It rejected two of the twenty-two listings we tried to seat: a second BOLDFIT glove at Rs. 299 (we seated the Rs. 289 one) and the NIVIA Scorpion at Rs. 409 (we seated the Rs. 326 one). In both cases the image bytes were byte-for-byte identical and the rating pool matched too. That is the whole page in one line: same photo, same reviews, different price. Nothing improper is alleged - sellers list the same item more than once for ordinary reasons - but it is worth a scroll before you buy the first tile you see.
