A badge compares a listing to itself. Only the price per metre compares two listings to each other - and here the two point opposite ways.
We read Flipkart's aluminium foil and cling film results on 22 October 2026 and divided every price by the metres the listing itself states. Cling film runs from Rs. 0.84 to Rs. 6.30 a metre - a 7.5x spread - and foil from Rs. 3.42 to Rs. 15.83. The grid shows none of it. The sharpest case is one brand against itself: Clean Pride's 30 m roll carries the deepest badge on the cling shelf at 80% off and works out at Rs. 4.00 a metre, while its own 200 m roll, badged 65%, works out at Rs. 0.88. On foil, roll length sets the price - and buying a bigger pack of the same roll can cost you 44% more per metre.
Every price below was pulled from Flipkart on October 22, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Flipkart coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
A 500 m roll works out at Rs. 0.84 a metre. The cling shelf's ceiling is Rs. 6.30 — a 7.5x spread the grid never shows.
Rs. 0.84 a metre — Rs. 418 for one roll, 500 m, badged 58%, 4.2 stars from 50 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the lowest per-metre price anywhere in this read, and it gets there on a mid-range badge rather than a deep one.
Rs. 0.86 a metre — Rs. 432 for one roll, 500 m, badged 57%, 4.3 stars from 874 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the same brand and length as the card above at Rs. 14 more, and it carries much the deepest review pool on the cling shelf.
Rs. 0.88 a metre — Rs. 175 for one roll, 200 m, badged 65%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot this is the control for the whole page: the same brand sells a short roll further down at a deeper badge and four and a half times the unit price.
Rs. 1.32 a metre — Rs. 132 for one roll, 100 m, badged 60%, 4.4 stars from 11 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the middle rung of Clean Pride's own ladder and shows the per-metre price rising as the roll shortens.
Clean Pride's 30 m roll is badged 80% off and costs Rs. 4.00 a metre. Its own 200 m roll is badged 65% and costs Rs. 0.88.
Rs. 4.00 a metre — Rs. 120 for one roll, 30 m, badged 80%, 3.5 stars from 4 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the single clearest case on this page of a discount badge pointing the wrong way, and it is an internal comparison within one brand.
Rs. 2.48 a metre — Rs. 248 for 2 rolls, 100 m in total, badged 29%, 3.9 stars from 86 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the second brand on this shelf whose shallow-badged short-roll pack is its worst per-metre buy.
Rs. 6.30 a metre — Rs. 189 for one roll, 30 m, badged 46%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the per-metre ceiling of the cling shelf, at a badge barely above the shelf's shallowest.
Rs. 4.75 a metre — Rs. 285 for 2 rolls, 60 m in total, badged 68%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot a 68% badge on this shelf buys one of the five worst per-metre prices in the read, which is worth stating plainly.
Rs. 4.63 a metre — Rs. 139 for one roll, 30 m, badged 46%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is a near-identical per-metre price to the card above at a badge twenty-two points shallower, which separates the two variables cleanly.
Shallow badges, hundred-metre rolls and the deepest review pools, all landing near the Rs. 1.84 median metre.
Rs. 1.62 a metre — Rs. 162 for one roll, 100 m, badged 46%, 4.1 stars from 185 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is a good per-metre price arrived at on a 46% badge, which shows the pattern runs in both directions.
Rs. 1.65 a metre — Rs. 165 for one roll, 100 m, badged 63%, 4.2 stars from 1,079 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the best-reviewed hundred-metre roll on the shelf and lands at almost exactly the shelf's median unit price.
Rs. 2.03 a metre — Rs. 183 for 3 rolls, 90 m in total, badged 63%, 3.9 stars from 101 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the cheapest way to buy 30 m rolls on this shelf and still costs more than twice the best metre here.
Foil starts at Rs. 3.42 a metre — four times the cheapest cling — and the shallowest badge here buys one of the best metres.
Rs. 3.42 a metre — Rs. 246 for one roll, 72 m, badged 55%, 4 stars from 23 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the per-metre floor of the foil shelf and it gets there on a mid-range badge, not a deep one.
Rs. 3.49 a metre — Rs. 502 for 2 rolls, 144 m in total, badged 50%, 3.8 stars from 112 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is a multipack that holds its per-metre price, which is rarer on this shelf than you would expect.
Rs. 3.49 a metre — Rs. 251 for one roll, 72 m, badged 40%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it ties for second-best unit price on the foil shelf while carrying its shallowest badge, which is the whole argument of this page in one card.
Rs. 6.59 a metre at 25 m, Rs. 8.28 to Rs. 11.95 at 18 m, Rs. 15.83 at 9 m — and the six-packs cost more per metre than the two-packs.
Rs. 6.59 a metre — Rs. 824 for 5 rolls, 125 m in total, badged 53%, 4.3 stars from 3 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the cheapest metre in CLARET's range and the top rung of a ladder set entirely by roll length.
Rs. 8.28 a metre — Rs. 298 for 2 rolls, 36 m in total, badged 45%, 3.8 stars from 5 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the first step down CLARET's ladder and isolates roll length as the variable, since the brand and the product are unchanged.
Rs. 8.51 a metre — Rs. 613 for 4 rolls, 72 m in total, badged 43%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the same 18 m roll as the card above in a bigger pack at a higher per-metre price, which inverts the usual assumption about multipacks.
Rs. 11.95 a metre — Rs. 1,291 for 6 rolls, 108 m in total, badged 20%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the third pack size of one 18 m roll and costs 44% more per metre than the two-pack, which is the clearest refutation of bulk-is-cheaper on this page.
Rs. 15.69 a metre — Rs. 565 for 4 rolls, 36 m in total, badged 14%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the bottom rung of the CLARET ladder and shows what the shortest roll length costs per metre.
Rs. 15.83 a metre — Rs. 855 for 6 rolls, 54 m in total, badged 14%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the per-metre ceiling of the foil shelf and closes the CLARET ladder at 2.40 times its own floor.
The same 18 m roll works out at Rs. 7.48 a metre in a pack of five and Rs. 9.71 in a pack of four.
Rs. 6.02 a metre — Rs. 253 for 2 rolls, 42 m in total, badged 49%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the cheapest Kcofoil metre and the start of a second brand showing the same pack-size inversion.
Rs. 6.28 a metre — Rs. 452 for one roll, 72 m, badged 43%, 4.2 stars from 1,382 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it carries the deepest review pool on the foil shelf, and it is a single long roll rather than a multipack.
Rs. 6.65 a metre — Rs. 499 for 3 rolls, 75 m in total, badged 51%, 4.1 stars from 107 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is close to Kcofoil's median and sits almost exactly where CLARET's best listing does, which makes the two brands comparable.
Rs. 7.48 a metre — Rs. 673 for 5 rolls, 90 m in total, badged 52%, no rating published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it is the cheaper of Kcofoil's two packs of the identical 18 m roll and sets up the comparison that closes the page.
Rs. 9.71 a metre — Rs. 699 for 4 rolls, 72 m in total, badged 37%, 4.1 stars from 165 ratings published by Flipkart
Why it earned its spot it closes the read on the cleanest single comparison available: one brand, one roll, two packs, 30% apart per metre.
First, divide the price by the metres before anything else. The metre figure is on the listing, in the subtitle, and it is the pack total rather than the roll length - a pack of three 25 m rolls reads "Pack of 3, 75 m". Without that division a 7.5x spread on cling and a 4.6x spread on foil are both invisible. Second, do not read the badge as value. On the cling shelf the single deepest badge, 80%, sits on the dearest-per-metre roll from a brand whose own 65%-badged listing is four and a half times cheaper per metre. Third, do not assume the multipack is cheaper. CLARET's 18 m roll costs Rs. 8.28 a metre in a pack of two and Rs. 11.95 in a pack of six; Kcofoil's 18 m roll is Rs. 7.48 a metre in a five-pack and Rs. 9.71 in a four-pack. Fourth, read the micron figure, because we have not verified it. Nothing here was unwrapped or tested, and an 11-micron foil and an 18-micron foil at the same price per metre are not the same purchase - that specification is on the listing and it is the one thing that would change this comparison.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, pack description, star average and rating count on this page came from the product data flipkart.com itself serves on its search results, read on 22 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased. Two queries — aluminium foil roll and cling film, two pages each — returned 126 listings. Every per-metre figure, median and range quoted here is computed over the rows that survived the two filters below.
Flipkart's subtitle carries the pack total in metres — "Pack of 3, 75 m" — and we required that it reconcile against the roll length printed in the listing's own title before computing anything (25 m x 3 = 75 m). Every row seated here reconciles. Two Kcofoil listings did not and are excluded: a "72 Deliwrap" subtitled 120 m for a pack of three, and a 72 m foil subtitled 80 m for a pack of two. We drop rows we cannot settle rather than guessing at them, and we name them rather than dropping them silently.
Both queries return a great deal that is neither. The aluminium foil query returns butter paper, baking parchment and greaseproof wrapping paper in quantity — vastora, IMVELO, WRAPSTORE, LOMY and TNB listings that sell at Rs. 0.51 to Rs. 1.78 a metre and would have made the foil shelf look four times cheaper than it is. It also returns foil tape and wall-mounted dispensers. The cling query returns industrial stretch and packing film, and one aluminium foil listing. All are excluded and named here rather than quietly dropped.
Nothing here was bought, unwrapped, used or measured, and no claim is made about thickness, food safety, tear strength, biodegradability or how any of it performs. "11 Micron", "Food Grade" and "Biodegradable" are the listings' own printed descriptions, reproduced and not independently verified — and micron class is the one specification that would change a per-metre comparison, so read it on the listing. A stated MRP is the figure a listing prints, and nothing here says any of these figures is false or improper.
Rs. 0.84 a metre, on a 500 m TDS Plus Wrap roll at Rs. 418. Across the cling listings we could compute on 22 October 2026, the per-metre price ran from that Rs. 0.84 up to Rs. 6.30 — a 7.5x spread — at a median of Rs. 1.84. Almost none of that is visible from the search grid, where the on-screen prices run a tidy Rs. 88 to Rs. 632 and the Rs. 418 roll looks like one of the dearest things on the page. The figure that matters is the one the grid does not print.
Because the badge is computed against the listing's own stated MRP, and the roll lengths are completely different. In this read Clean Pride's 30 m roll is badged 80% — the deepest discount on the cling shelf — and works out at Rs. 4.00 a metre. The same brand's 200 m roll is badged 65% and works out at Rs. 0.88 a metre. Fifteen more badge points, four and a half times the price per metre of film. A discount badge compares a listing to itself; only the per-metre price compares two listings to each other. Nothing here suggests either figure is improper — they are simply answering different questions.
On this shelf, often not. The clearest case is CLARET, which sells one 18 m roll in three pack sizes: Rs. 8.28 a metre in a pack of two, Rs. 8.51 in a pack of four and Rs. 11.95 in a pack of six — the per-metre price rises 44% as the pack grows. Kcofoil shows the same inversion more sharply: the identical 18 m roll is Rs. 7.48 a metre in a pack of five and Rs. 9.71 in a pack of four, 30% apart. Buying more is not reliably cheaper here; buying a longer roll is.
Rs. 3.42 to Rs. 15.83 a metre, at a median of Rs. 7.07. The cheapest in this read was a 72 m RKG roll at Rs. 246; the dearest was six 9 m CLARET rolls at Rs. 855. Roll length is what sets the price: within CLARET alone, 25 m rolls work out at Rs. 6.59 a metre, 18 m rolls at Rs. 8.28 to Rs. 11.95, and 9 m rolls at Rs. 15.69 and Rs. 15.83 — a 2.40x range inside one brand. Note that foil starts at roughly four times the price of cling film per metre, and that micron thickness, which we have not verified, would affect any like-for-like comparison.
Three groups. First, products that are not foil or cling film at all: the aluminium foil query returns a great deal of butter paper, baking parchment and greaseproof wrapping paper priced at Rs. 0.51 to Rs. 1.78 a metre, plus foil tape and wall dispensers; the cling query returns industrial stretch film. Leaving them in would have made the foil shelf look about four times cheaper than it is. Second, two Kcofoil listings whose stated pack total does not reconcile with the roll length in their own titles — a pack of three 72 m rolls subtitled 120 m, and a pack of two 72 m rolls subtitled 80 m. We drop what we cannot settle rather than guess. Third, nothing was excluded for being cheap, dear or unbadged. These were the figures on 22 October 2026; check the live listing.
