Every tile on this shelf prints its own length, so the whole thing can be priced per metre. Do it and the cheapest sticker falls to sixth, and one claimed list price turns out to cover 19 metres and 55.
A Rs. 65 string light looks like the cheapest thing on this shelf. It is not. Every Diwali light on Amazon prints its length on the tile, so the shelf can be priced per metre — and the Rs. 65 listing comes sixth. Read on 11 October 2026: 99 unique listings, 22 seated, Rs. 5.09 to Rs. 20.75 per stated metre against a median of Rs. 8.38. The cheapest light here costs Rs. 229. Seven listings claim one MRP of Rs. 1,999 at lengths from 19 metres to 55.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon on October 11, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four checks, and the first one takes ten seconds. First, divide the price by the stated length. Every tile prints one. On this shelf that single division moves the cheapest-looking listing from first to sixth and promotes a Rs. 229 one to the top. Second, measure the railing before you compare anything — a cheap price per metre on 45 metres is worthless if you need ten, and the best per-metre figures here sit on the longest runs. Third, check the rating count against the other lengths of the same product. Three Gesto listings here show an identical 8,474 ratings and two Desidiya listings show 8,082; an identical count across different lengths is one review pool, not two verdicts. Fourth, ignore the badge. Seven seated listings claim an MRP of Rs. 1,999 whether they are 19 metres or 55, so the percentage is describing the claimed list price rather than the light — the deepest badge on the page is good value and the second deepest is 46% worse per metre. This is a price page: nothing was bought, plugged in or lit, and no light is assessed for brightness, durability or electrical safety.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here came from the payload amazon.in itself serves for 'diwali lights for home', 'diwali led string lights' and 'rice lights decoration', read on 11 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 99 unique listings came back and 22 are seated. Every median and range quoted is computed over the seated 22 unless the sentence says otherwise.
Every seated listing states a length in its own title, in metres or in feet. Where the title prints feet we converted at 0.3048 metres per foot and the card shows both figures, so you can check the arithmetic. We did not measure a single wire. If a listing's stated length is wrong, the per-metre figure derived from it is wrong in the same direction, and that is a limit of this method we would rather state than hide.
The same search terms returned rope lights, curtain and net lights, G40 globe outdoor strings and tea-light candles. None is seated, because dividing a G40 globe string's price by its length and setting the result against a copper rice light compares unlike things and would have produced a dramatic, meaningless ranking. Every listing on this page is a plain string, rice or pixel light.
Amazon lists the same product at several lengths and sometimes shows one review pool against all of them. Three Gesto listings here display an identical 8,474 ratings; two more display 2,109; two Desidiya listings display 8,082. Every card involved says so. One Panasonic listing came back twice under different images with identical figures and is seated once.
This is a page about published prices, published lengths and published ratings. 'Waterproof', '8 modes', '360 degree', LED counts and every stated length are the listings' own printed wording, reproduced as printed. No light on this page is assessed for brightness, colour accuracy, wire quality, weather resistance, safety or how long it lasts, and a lower price per metre is a statement about money only — a dearer light here may well be a better one.
That depends which question you are asking, and the two answers are different listings. The cheapest sticker price seated is a GIGAWATTS ZINDAL 10.5 metre string at Rs. 65. The cheapest light is a Desidiya 45 metre serial string at Rs. 229, which works out at Rs. 5.09 per stated metre against the Rs. 65 listing's Rs. 6.19. Over the 22 listings seated here the per-metre price runs from Rs. 5.09 to Rs. 20.75 with a median of Rs. 8.38, so the spread is about four to one. If you only need ten metres, the Rs. 65 listing is the right buy — paying Rs. 229 for 45 metres you will not hang is not value. The per-metre figure tells you what light costs, not how much you need.
Because the percentage is calculated from the stated MRP, and on this shelf the stated MRPs barely vary with the product. Seven of the 22 seated listings state an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999, and their stated lengths are 19, 20, 25, 30, 43, 45 and 55 metres — a span of almost three to one at one claimed list price. Five more state Rs. 999, at lengths from 10 to 45 metres. Since the claimed list price does not move with the amount of light and the selling price does, the badge ends up measuring the MRP rather than the deal. The clearest example on the page: a 93% badge that costs Rs. 6.29 a metre and a 91% badge that costs Rs. 9.21. None of this means any MRP is improper — only that the percentage is a poor guide to which tile is cheaper.
This page cannot tell you that, and it is the figure that decides which listing is right for you, so it is worth measuring rather than guessing. What the shelf does tell you is that buying long does not reliably earn a bulk rate. The 55 metre listing seated here costs Rs. 8.16 per stated metre, almost exactly the Rs. 8.38 shelf median, while a 45 metre listing costs Rs. 5.09 and a 10.5 metre one costs Rs. 6.19. Length and value are close to uncorrelated across these 22 listings. Run a tape along the railing or roofline you actually intend to light, then compare per-metre prices at roughly that length — every card on this page prints its own.
Because Amazon can show one review pool against several listings of what is essentially the same product in different sizes. On this shelf: Gesto's 19 metre, 20 metre and 25 metre listings all display 8,474 ratings. Gesto's 43 metre and 55 metre both display 2,109. Desidiya's 45 metre and 10 metre both display 8,082. An identical rating count across two tiles means one body of reviews, not two independent verdicts, so a 3.8 average on a 19 metre light may have been earned largely by buyers of a 25 metre one. The counter-example on this page is Halonix, whose yellow and multicolour listings show 472 and 733 ratings — genuinely separate pools. Checking the count is the quickest test there is.
On price per metre they are clearly dearer, and on published ratings the picture is mixed. PHILIPS is the most expensive light seated at Rs. 20.75 per stated metre — four times the cheapest — though it also has 4.2 from 3,026 ratings and the shallowest badge on the page, 31%, meaning its claimed list price is the most restrained here. Panasonic is Rs. 12.90 a metre with 4.1 from 466. But EVEREADY, an equally familiar name, carries the lowest star average on the page at 3.3, while the highest, 4.4, belongs to Crompton at Rs. 9.90 a metre. So a recognisable brand is not a rating. The real argument for the branded tiles — durability and electrical safety over several seasons — is one this page cannot test, because nothing here was lit, run or aged.
