The only listing here from a retailer with its own shops is the one that barely discounts - and the most expensive on the page. Twenty-two picks from 113 AJIO listings.
We read 113 AJIO saree listings on August 9, 2026 from AJIO's own catalogue and seated 22 of them. Twenty-one are discounted between 65 and 81 per cent, which makes the discount column useless for choosing between them. The twenty-second is 15 per cent off: a SOCH Chanderi at Rs. 2,973, the dearest saree on the page, claiming Rs. 3,498. SOCH has its own shops and a price to defend. The other twenty-one sellers set a number and take a percentage off it, and on four listings from three sellers that number is exactly Rs. 2,999.
Every price below was pulled from AJIO on August 9, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: find the listing that is not discounted like the rest - on this page it was 15 per cent against a shelf of 65 to 81, and it was the only brand with its own stores. Second: read 'woven' or 'printed' and ignore the weave names, because Banarasi, Kanjivaram and Mysore at these prices describe a look rather than a loom. Third: check whether a blouse piece is included and whether it is running or cut, because that is a tailoring bill either way. Fourth: treat a round stated MRP shared across several sellers as a price band rather than a history - the same pattern this series found when AJIO's kurta shelf turned out to be priced by house label. Fifth: on ethnicwear with no ratings at all, buy on the photograph and the return policy, which is what fifteen bags with no discount at all came down to on another shelf.

Twenty-one of the twenty-two sarees here are discounted between 65 and 81 per cent. The twenty-second, from SOCH, is 15 per cent off and is the most expensive listing on the page. SOCH runs its own retail stores and therefore has a real price to defend, so its stated Rs. 3,498 against a Rs. 2,973 selling price is a Rs. 525 gap - the smallest here by a factor of eleven. When one listing on a shelf behaves completely differently from every other, it is usually the one telling the truth, and it is worth more attention than the deepest badge on the page.
Titles on this shelf carry 'Banarasi', 'Kanjivaram', 'Kanjeevaram', 'Mysore silk' and 'Dola silk' - and one listing claims both Banarasi and Kanjivaram, which are traditions from opposite ends of the country. At these prices those are style descriptions, not fibre guarantees, and we report them as the seller's wording. The word that actually predicts what arrives is 'woven' versus 'printed': a woven motif is built into the cloth, a print sits on it. We name which each listing is, and we name whether a blouse piece is included, because those two facts change the purchase.
Four listings from three sellers on this page state exactly Rs. 2,999 while selling at Rs. 690, Rs. 720, Rs. 870, Rs. 870 and Rs. 900 - one seller has two different sarees at an identical price and an identical claim. Another seller's three listings run Rs. 240, Rs. 290 and Rs. 350 against claims of Rs. 749, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,249: the price moves Rs. 110 and the claim moves Rs. 500. The largest claim in the read is Rs. 11,899 on a Rs. 2,618 saree. These are price bands with numbers attached, not price histories.
AJIO publishes no rating or rating count on any of the 113 saree rows we read, so there is not a single rating pill on this page. That is a real limitation and we would rather state it than fill the gap with an editorial score, which is what a uniform five-star house rating amounts to. It means every judgement here rests on price, on stated fabric and construction, and on what the seller's own listing pattern reveals - and it means you are buying on the photograph more than you would elsewhere.
Because the stated MRP is a number each seller sets for itself, and on marketplace ethnicwear it is usually attached to a price band rather than to a product. In our August 9, 2026 read of 113 AJIO saree listings, twenty-one of the twenty-two we seated were 65 to 81 per cent off. Four listings from three different sellers all claimed exactly Rs. 2,999 while selling between Rs. 690 and Rs. 900. One seller listed two different sarees at an identical Rs. 870 against an identical Rs. 2,999. The percentage describes the claim, not a price anyone paid.
At that price the weave name is describing a look, not a fibre. Banarasi and Kanjivaram are regional weaving traditions whose genuine handloom output starts many multiples above this shelf's Rs. 2,973 ceiling, and one listing in our read claimed both traditions in a single title. The word worth reading is 'woven' rather than 'printed' - a woven motif is built into the cloth and survives washing, a print sits on top of it. Where a listing says 'cotton silk' it is naming a blend, which is more informative than most titles here.
The SOCH Chanderi at Rs. 2,973. It is the only listing in the read discounted below 65 per cent - it shows 15 - and its stated Rs. 3,498 is a Rs. 525 gap, the smallest on the page by a factor of eleven. SOCH operates its own stores across India, so it has a shelf price it has to honour and cannot invent an MRP for a marketplace badge. It is also the most expensive saree here, which is the trade: Rs. 355 more than the next listing down, for a number that means something.
Not on any of the 113 rows we read on August 9, 2026. AJIO returned no rating and no rating count for a single saree listing in this read, which is why there is no rating pill anywhere on this page and why we have not substituted a house score of our own. It is a genuine limitation: with no ratings and no returns data, the purchase rests on the photograph, the stated construction and the return window. We would rather say that than dress the gap up as an editorial verdict.
Between Rs. 600 and Rs. 900 buys the woven listings on this shelf, which is the meaningful step up from print - our picks in that band run from a Rs. 684 Kanjeevaram-style with a contrast border to a Rs. 900 Aldwych. Below Rs. 600 you are mostly buying printed poly, though a Rs. 350 Revangi does include an unstitched blouse piece. Above Rs. 1,200 the money goes on applied embroidery and finished scalloped borders rather than on better cloth. And Rs. 2,973 buys the one saree here from a retailer with its own shops.
