We read two hundred and sixty-one nightwear listings across 91 brands on ajio.com on 16 September 2026 and split them in two: brands a shopper would recognise, and everyone else. The two groups charge almost identical money — a median of Rs. 525 against Rs. 500. What differs is the list price printed behind it. The recognised brands state a median MRP of Rs. 699; the rest state Rs. 1,719, and show a badge exactly twice as deep. The extreme is a Rs. 454 set carried against Rs. 5,970.

Every price below was pulled from AJIO on September 16, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“The unrecognised brands on this shelf are twenty-five rupees cheaper at checkout and claim twice the discount. Nothing about the price changed; only the number printed above it.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Four rules for buying nightwear at AJIO

First: divide the MRP by the selling price and use that, not the badge. A multiple near 1.5x is a list price someone intended; a multiple above 5x, which 23 of the 261 listings here carry, is a number invented to produce a percentage. Second: compare checkout prices across the brand divide before you assume the deep badge is the bargain — a MAX set at Rs. 559 on a 20 percent badge costs more than an ICHAA set at Rs. 454 on a 92 percent one, and that is the whole point. Third: buy packs where you can, because the pack count is the one figure a seller cannot inflate; five boys' pyjamas work out at Rs. 92 a pair and camisole packs land between Rs. 109 and Rs. 116 a piece, against Rs. 172 to Rs. 235 for singles. Fourth: accept that there are no reviews here at all, on any of the 261 listings, so the specification and the brand are all you have. We traced the same MRP mechanics across retailers in our MRP versus selling price explainer.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: two hundred and thirty-seven of the 261 listings are not seated. AJIO's search returns the same garment several times over — the ICHAA set at the top of this page appears four times at identical numbers, and colour and print variants of the same style are listed separately throughout — so we seated one instance of each style and dropped the duplicates rather than filling the page with the same photograph. We also dropped the long middle of the lounge pant shelf, which is near-uniform in price and cut. Two listings we had originally seated were replaced because their listing photographs were too small to reproduce honestly at card size, and the single most expensive listing in the read, a Rs. 3,777 Hunkemoller piece, is cited for the shelf ceiling but not seated because its listing photograph is not something we will reproduce on this page. All 24 seated photographs were downloaded, measured and viewed: every one is distinct, none is a placeholder, and each shows the garment its card names.

What we look for

We compared what the brands you know and the brands you do not actually charge

This is the finding the whole page rests on, and it is not subtle. Splitting the 261 listings into brands a shopper would recognise and the rest: the 85 recognised-brand listings have a median selling price of Rs. 525; the other 176 have a median of Rs. 500. Effectively the same money — the unknown brands are twenty-five rupees cheaper. But their median stated MRP is Rs. 1,719 against Rs. 699, and their median badge is 66 percent against 33. Same checkout price, two and a half times the list price, exactly double the discount.

We divided every MRP by its own selling price

Because that ratio is what a discount badge really measures. The median recognised brand prints an MRP 1.49 times its price; the median other listing prints 2.94 times. Twenty-three of the 261 listings print an MRP at least five times their price, and the extreme is a Rs. 454 top-and-pyjama set carried against a stated Rs. 5,970 — 13.15x, a 92 percent badge, appearing four separate times in this pull at identical numbers. We report the ratio on every card so you can see which kind of listing you are reading.

We looked for ratings and there are none at all

Not thin — absent. Every one of the 261 listings we read publishes no star average and no rating count. That is AJIO's own behaviour on this shelf rather than anything missing from our read, and it is why not a single card on this page carries a rating pill. It also raises the stakes on the point above: with no reviews at all, the discount badge is the loudest signal on the listing, and on 176 of these 261 listings that badge is mostly a function of a list price nobody paid.

We anchored on the selling price, because this shelf is cheap

A hundred and twenty-nine of the 261 listings sell under Rs. 500 and 42 under Rs. 300, with a floor of Rs. 100 and a ceiling of Rs. 3,777. The practical consequence is that the gap between a good and a bad decision here is usually two or three hundred rupees, which is less than the difference between the badges being waved at you. We seated across the whole range and led with price.

We computed a unit price wherever a listing sold a pack

Multipacks are the only place on this shelf where a genuine comparison is possible, because the pack count is a number the seller cannot inflate. Twenty of the 261 listings are multipacks, and they are where the value concentrates: Rs. 92 a pair for boys' pyjamas in a pack of five, Rs. 109 to Rs. 116 a camisole in packs of five and six, against Rs. 172 to Rs. 235 for single camisoles elsewhere in this same read.

FAQs

Are AJIO's 80 and 90 percent nightwear discounts real?

The selling price is real; the percentage mostly is not. We split the 261 listings we read into brands a shopper would recognise and the rest, and the two groups charge almost exactly the same money — a median of Rs. 525 against Rs. 500. What differs is what they print above it: a median MRP of Rs. 699 for the recognised brands against Rs. 1,719 for the rest, producing badges of 33 percent and 66 percent respectively. Twenty-three listings print an MRP at least five times their selling price, topping out at a Rs. 454 set carried against a stated Rs. 5,970, a 13.15x multiple. Divide the MRP by the price before believing any badge here.

Why are there no reviews on AJIO nightwear?

We can only report what we found: none of the 261 listings we read on 16 September 2026 published a star average or a rating count. Not a thin sample — nothing at all. This is AJIO's own behaviour on this shelf rather than anything missing from our read, and it is consistent with what we see across AJIO categories. The practical effect is that no card on this page carries a rating pill, and that the discount badge becomes the loudest signal on a listing that offers no other evidence — which matters a great deal given that on 176 of those 261 listings the badge is largely a function of an inflated list price.

How much does nightwear cost on AJIO?

It is a cheap shelf. Across the 261 listings, 129 sell under Rs. 500 and 42 under Rs. 300, with a floor of Rs. 100 for a Teamspirit camisole and a ceiling of Rs. 3,777. By category, night suits run Rs. 250 to Rs. 799 with a median of Rs. 390, nightwear sets Rs. 203 to Rs. 1,750 with a median of Rs. 672, lounge pants Rs. 158 to Rs. 1,521, pyjama sets Rs. 250 to Rs. 1,349 and camisoles Rs. 100 upwards. A complete two-piece set starts at Rs. 250.

Is it cheaper to buy camisoles in a pack on AJIO?

Substantially, and the packs are the most trustworthy prices on the shelf because the pack count is the one figure a seller cannot inflate. Dollar's pack of five is Rs. 543, or Rs. 109 each; its pack of six is Rs. 693, or Rs. 116 each; and Inner Element's pack of four is Rs. 451, or Rs. 113 each. Three unrelated listings landing within seven rupees of one another per piece is the clearest price signal in this read. Compare that with Rs. 235 for a single Van Heusen camisole and Rs. 172 for a single unbranded one. The best unit price anywhere in the read is a pack of five boys' pyjamas at Rs. 459, or Rs. 92 a pair.

Which nightwear brands on AJIO print honest list prices?

On this read, the recognised high-street and specialist labels. MAX prints a Rs. 699 MRP on a Rs. 559 set, a 1.25x multiple; Sweet Dreams a Rs. 1,499 MRP on Rs. 1,349, a 1.11x; V-MART a Rs. 399 MRP on Rs. 351, a 1.14x; and Van Heusen a Rs. 349 MRP on Rs. 235. The group median is 1.49x against 2.94x for everyone else. It is a tendency rather than a rule, and this page seats the exceptions deliberately: Zivame at 2.50x and Bewakoof at 3.20x are both well-known brands discounting like marketplace sellers. Check the multiple on the listing rather than trusting the name.

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, maximum retail price and discount badge here was read on 16 September 2026 from ajio.com search results as served to a logged-out visitor in India. The division of the shelf into recognised and other brands is our own editorial grouping, described as such, and is not a judgment about the quality, origin or legitimacy of any brand inside or outside it. The medians of price, MRP, badge and MRP multiple for each group, the count of listings above five times, the per-piece prices computed from stated pack counts and the counts by price band are our own arithmetic applied to AJIO's displayed figures. Reporting that a listing prints an MRP several times its selling price describes two numbers AJIO displayed on the same listing on one day and alleges no wrongdoing, mis-selling or non-compliance by AJIO or by any brand or seller named. AJIO published no star average and no rating count for any listing in this read, which is why no card here carries a rating pill. Fabric, fit, weave and finish descriptions — cotton, muslin, ribbed, seamless, heathered, anti-bacterial, 'colour fresh' — are the sellers' own listing claims and were not verified; nothing here was worn, washed, measured or fibre-tested. MRPs are quoted because AJIO displays them and are not treated as evidence of a saving. Prices, listings and stock change without notice.
