Microwave ovens from Reliance Digital's September 2026 shelf — a Morphy Richards 20 L solo, an IFB 30 L convection and a Samsung grill oven — arranged as a colour-block panel, on this page on Reliance Digital microwave, fridge and washing machine prices

Reliance Digital's appliance shelf is easy to misread in two specific ways, and both of them cost money. The first is the aisle you start in: a 20-litre microwave here costs Rs. 6,490, less than half the cheapest washing machine and a third of the median fridge, and it is also the aisle carrying the deepest badges.

The second is what a price-sorted fridge list actually shows you. The two cheapest ‘refrigerators’ on this shelf, at Rs. 7,990 apiece, are door panels for a fridge you already own. Below: all 36 listings, aisle by aisle and brand by brand.

📅 Update log:
8 Sep 2026 — first published, from the microwave, refrigerator and washing machine search results on reliancedigital.in as served to a logged-out visitor on 8 September 2026. Reliance Digital's prices, discounts and stock change continuously, so we re-read these aisles and log any material change to the medians, the brand discount policies or the door-panel listings here.

The cheapest real appliance here is a Rs. 6,490 microwave

Across the three aisles we read on 8 September 2026 — microwaves, washing machines and refrigerators, twelve listings each — the entry price is Rs. 6,490 for a 20-litre Morphy Richards solo microwave, listed at 48% off a stated Rs. 12,599. That is less than half the cheapest washing machine on the same shelf (Rs. 12,890) and under a third of the median refrigerator (Rs. 21,790).

The microwave aisle is also the most discounted: a 27% median against 23% on fridges and 21% on washers. Three of the four deepest badges in the entire read sit on microwaves or on BPL fridges, and none sit on a mainstream front-loading washing machine.

The ladder inside the aisle is unusually clean, which makes it a good place to see what your money actually buys. Rs. 6,490 to about Rs. 8,000 is solo — heating and defrosting only. Rs. 8,890 adds a grill. From Rs. 12,490 you are into convection, which is the feature that turns the box into something you can bake in, and the capacity climbs with it.

Two of the twelve ‘refrigerators’ are doors

This is the one thing on this page that can cost you money if you shop quickly. Sort the refrigerator listing by price, low to high, and the first two results are Samsung side-by-side door panels at Rs. 7,990 each — an upper panel and a lower panel, both at 20% off a stated Rs. 10,000. They are accessories for a fridge you already own, not fridges.

The genuinely cheapest refrigerator in our read is a Kelvinator 187-litre 2-star single door at Rs. 11,000, 46% off a stated Rs. 20,490. Above it the ladder runs through a Haier 190 L at Rs. 16,190, a Whirlpool 192 L 5-star at Rs. 20,690 and an LG 224 L at Rs. 22,890 before double doors begin at Rs. 20,390.

The top of the fridge aisle is where the money is: a Samsung 653 L side-by-side at Rs. 1,24,190, which is nineteen times the cheapest microwave and the single most expensive thing in this read.

🔍 How to tell a panel from a fridge. The listing titles say “Refrigerator Panel” and carry no capacity in litres and no star rating — every real fridge here states both, as in “192 L 5 Star”. If a refrigerator appears to cost Rs. 7,990 when the next one up costs Rs. 11,000, read the title again before adding it to the cart.

BPL discounts by half. Whirlpool and IFB barely discount at all.

Line the brands up by median discount and this stops looking like a sale and starts looking like several pricing policies sharing a shop.

BPL runs a 49% median across its three listings: a 365 L frost-free double door at Rs. 23,990 against a stated Rs. 60,490, a 562 L side-by-side at Rs. 48,490 against Rs. 95,000, and a 9 kg semi-automatic washer at Rs. 12,890 against Rs. 19,990. Those are the three largest rupee gaps on the shelf.

At the other end, IFB's 7 kg front loader shows 1% off — a Rs. 200 reduction on a Rs. 36,690 machine — and Whirlpool's 192 L 5-star fridge shows 6%. Samsung, with twelve listings across all three aisles, runs a 21% median; LG runs 28%.

The practical reading is the one that holds on every shelf we price: when you compare two appliances here, you are usually comparing two brands' list-price conventions. The rupee price is the fact.

📈 Named honestly. A stated MRP is the seller's claim about a list price, and we have no way to verify that a BPL 562 L side-by-side has ever sold at Rs. 95,000. What we can verify is that it is listed at Rs. 48,490 today. Where the gap is large we print both numbers and call the difference a gap, not a saving.

The shallow-badge listings, and why they matter

Five listings in this read carry a discount of 13% or less. They are worth looking at precisely because the number is small: a modest badge usually means a list price close to what the market actually charges, which makes the comparison against rival retailers meaningful rather than theatrical.

The IFB front loader at Rs. 36,690 off a stated Rs. 36,890 is the extreme case — Reliance Digital is effectively listing this machine at MRP. If you want that model, the price to beat is Rs. 36,690 and it is worth ten minutes checking another retailer, because there is clearly no room on this shelf.

The same logic applies to the Whirlpool 192 L fridge at 6% and the Samsung 21 L convection microwave at 14%. These are the listings where a competing retailer's promotion, or a bank offer at checkout, will change the answer more than the badge does.

What this shelf does not tell you

There are no ratings anywhere. Not one of the 36 listings we read carried a star average or a review count. That is a property of this retailer's search feed rather than a comment on the products, and it means there is no crowd signal on this shelf at all — unlike a marketplace, where a fridge might carry a thousand verdicts. You are shopping on specification, brand and price alone.

The listings also do not publish energy consumption in units per year, only the BEE star rating in the title, and they do not state installation or demo terms. For a fridge or a front loader, installation and the service network are a large part of what you are buying — and they are the part no price table can show you.

We did not buy, install or use any of these machines. This is a price read of one session on one afternoon.

How this shelf was read, and what it does not tell you

We queried reliancedigital.in's own product search on 8 September 2026 for microwave, refrigerator and washing machine as a logged-out visitor in India, and took every in-stock listing the retailer returned whose selling price was below its stated MRP: 36 listings, twelve in each aisle. Prices, stated MRPs and discount percentages are Reliance Digital's own displayed values, unaltered. Medians, ranges, brand groupings and the observation about the door panels are ours, computed from those values.

What that means for what you can conclude. This is a snapshot of three search result pages in one session; a different query, filter or sort order returns a different set, and prices, discounts and stock change without notice. Twelve listings per aisle is a sample of the catalogue, not the catalogue — Reliance Digital sells far more models than this, and the absence of a brand here means only that it did not appear in our results. The feed publishes no ratings, so nothing on this page reflects owner satisfaction. We did not purchase, install, test or use any appliance, so nothing here is a judgement of performance, reliability, energy use or safety. Stated MRPs are the sellers' claims and we cannot verify that any machine sold at those figures; where the gap is unusually large we say so plainly rather than presenting it as savings. No wrongdoing by Reliance Digital or by any brand is alleged or implied.

The short version

The microwave aisle is the cheap one and the discounted one. Rs. 6,490 entry, an Rs. 11,890 median and a 27% median badge, against 23% on fridges.

Two ‘refrigerators’ at Rs. 7,990 are door panels, not fridges — and they are what a price-sorted list shows you first. The cheapest real fridge is Rs. 11,000.

BPL runs a 49% median and owns the three biggest rupee gaps on the shelf; IFB's front loader shows 1% off and Whirlpool's fridge 6%.

No ratings exist on any of the 36 listings. There is no crowd signal on this shelf, so specification, brand and price are all you have.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a microwave cost at Reliance Digital?
In the twelve listings we read on 8 September 2026, microwaves ran from Rs. 6,490 to Rs. 24,490 with a median of Rs. 11,890 and a median 27% off. The ladder is clean: Rs. 6,490 buys a 20-litre Morphy Richards solo oven (heating and defrosting only), Rs. 6,890 a Haier 20 L solo, Rs. 7,990 an LG 20 L solo. Grill models start at Rs. 8,890 with a Samsung 23 L. Convection — the type you can bake in — starts at Rs. 12,490 for a Samsung 21 L and runs through IFB's 25 L at Rs. 14,690 and 30 L at Rs. 17,990 to an LG 28 L convertible with air fry at Rs. 24,490. If you only reheat food, the Rs. 6,490 solo does that job as well as the Rs. 24,490 one.
Which brand discounts most at Reliance Digital?
In this read, BPL by a distance. BPL ran a 49% median across its three listings and owns the three largest rupee gaps on the shelf: a 365 L frost-free double-door fridge at Rs. 23,990 against a stated Rs. 60,490, a 562 L side-by-side at Rs. 48,490 against Rs. 95,000, and a 9 kg semi-automatic washer at Rs. 12,890 against Rs. 19,990. Kelvinator was next. At the other end, IFB's 7 kg front loader showed 1% off — Rs. 36,690 against Rs. 36,890 — and Whirlpool's 192 L fridge 6%. Samsung ran 21% across twelve listings and LG 28%. These are stated MRPs, which are the sellers' own claims; the reliable comparison is rupee price against rupee price.
Why do some Reliance Digital refrigerators cost only Rs. 7,990?
Because two of them are not refrigerators. The two Rs. 7,990 listings in the refrigerator results are Samsung side-by-side door panels — an upper and a lower panel, sold as accessories for a fridge you already own — and they are the first things you see if you sort the category by price. The tell is in the title: a real fridge listing states its capacity in litres and its BEE star rating, as in “192 L 5 Star”, while the panels state neither. The cheapest actual refrigerator in our read was a Kelvinator 187 L 2-star single door at Rs. 11,000, 46% off a stated Rs. 20,490.
What does a washing machine cost at Reliance Digital?
The twelve washing machines we read ran Rs. 12,890 to Rs. 39,200, median Rs. 21,795, at a 21% median discount — the shallowest of the three aisles. Semi-automatic top loaders start the ladder: a BPL 9 kg at Rs. 12,890 and a Samsung 8.5 kg at Rs. 16,700. Fully automatic top loaders run from Rs. 14,790 (Voltas Beko 6.5 kg) through Samsung 6.5 kg at Rs. 15,990 and LG 7.5 kg at Rs. 23,990 to a Samsung 8 kg with AI Wash at Rs. 25,000. Front loaders are the expensive end: Bosch 6.5 kg at Rs. 31,990, IFB 7 kg at Rs. 36,690 and a Samsung 8 kg 5-star Wi-Fi model at Rs. 39,200. Note that the front-loader listings carry the smallest badges on the shelf.
Do Reliance Digital listings show customer ratings?
Not in this read. None of the 36 listings we pulled on 8 September 2026 carried a star average or a review count — the retailer's search feed simply does not publish them. That is worth planning around, because it removes the signal most people lean on last before buying. For a large appliance the substitutes are the specification in the title (capacity in litres or kilograms, BEE star rating, loading type), the brand's own service network in your city, and the price compared against another retailer — particularly on the shallow-discount listings, where there is clearly no room left on this shelf. Prices and availability change without notice, so check the live listing.
Prices & codes last verified: 8 September 2026
Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage on this page is Reliance Digital's own displayed figure, read on 8 September 2026 from reliancedigital.in's product search for microwave, refrigerator and washing machine, as served to a logged-out visitor in India. We took every in-stock listing returned whose price was below its stated MRP — 36 in total, twelve per aisle — and changed none of those values; the medians, ranges, brand groupings and the observation that two listings in the refrigerator results are door panels rather than refrigerators are ours, computed from Reliance Digital's own titles and figures. This is a snapshot of one session and a sample of the catalogue rather than the catalogue itself: a different query, filter or sort order returns a different set, and prices, discounts and availability change without notice, so the live listing is authoritative for anything you buy. The feed publishes no ratings or review counts, so nothing here reflects owner satisfaction. We did not purchase, install, test or use any appliance, so nothing on this page is a judgement of performance, reliability, energy consumption or safety, and installation, demonstration and after-sales service terms are set by the retailer and the brand rather than by us. Stated MRPs are the sellers' claims; where a price sits at roughly half or less of the stated MRP we say so plainly rather than describing the gap as savings, because we have no way to verify that any machine sold at that figure. No wrongdoing by Reliance Digital or by any brand is alleged or implied. Zoutons earns affiliate commission on some links; this does not affect what is written above.
