Croma's Lenovo shelf carries two listings whose specification strings match word for word - LOQ 15IRX10, Core i7 13th Gen, 16GB, 1TB SSD, RTX 5050, Luna Grey, 2.4 KG - at Rs. 1,57,990 and Rs. 1,76,990, both against the same stated MRP. Nineteen thousand rupees, and nothing published to tell them apart.
Over on Lenovo's own India store the same morning, three different machines - two ThinkBooks and a ThinkCentre all-in-one - all state an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,70,001. We read 31 listings across both storefronts on 22 August 2026. Prices run Rs. 46,990 to Rs. 2,76,991, and the badges are the least reliable number on either page.

Freedom Sale named on Lenovo's homepage, to 24 Aug
31 listings, Rs. 46,990 to Rs. 2,76,991
📅 Update log:
22 Aug 2026 — first published. Ten deals cards read from lenovo.com's India store with prices rendered client-side, and 21 Lenovo listings read from croma.com across two queries. Lenovo's page stated an MRP of Rs. 1,70,001 on the ThinkBook 14 AMD, the ThinkBook 16 AMD and the ThinkCentre AIO neo 50a, and Rs. 1,69,991 on the ThinkBook 14 Intel. Croma listed two LOQ 15IRX10 entries with identical specification strings at Rs. 1,57,990 and Rs. 1,76,990 against a shared stated MRP of Rs. 1,97,290, and three IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10 Core i5 listings at Rs. 78,990, Rs. 81,990 and Rs. 87,990 against stated MRPs of Rs. 1,37,690, Rs. 1,84,990 and Rs. 92,290. Lenovo's homepage named a Freedom Sale at up to 10 per cent off ending 24 August. We re-check both storefronts weekly and will log any change to the duplicate LOQ listings or the shared MRP figures.
What Lenovo Charges on Its Own Store
We read the deals cards on lenovo.com's India store on 22 August 2026 and took the ten that carried both a selling price and a stated MRP. They run from Rs. 47,999 for an Idea Tab Pro tablet to Rs. 2,76,991 for a ThinkPad X1 Carbon, and the badges run from 13 to 51 per cent.
The store's own catalogue here is business-led. Six of the ten are ThinkPad, ThinkBook or ThinkCentre machines; the consumer LOQ gaming line accounts for two and the IdeaPad Slim 5 for one. That matters when you compare it with a retailer's shelf, because Croma's Lenovo stock, further down this page, is almost entirely IdeaPad and LOQ.
| Machine (lenovo.com deals card) | Price | Stated MRP | Badge |
|---|
| ThinkPad X1 Carbon, Core Ultra 7, 32GB, 1TB, Win 11 Pro | Rs. 276,991 | Rs. 320,001 | 13% |
| LOQ, Ryzen 7, 16GB, 512GB, RTX 5050 8GB | Rs. 165,991 | Rs. 291,491 | 43% |
| IdeaPad Slim 5, Core Ultra 9, 16GB, 512GB | Rs. 153,990 | Rs. 230,290 | 33% |
| LOQ, Ryzen 5, 16GB, 512GB, RTX 3050 6GB | Rs. 110,790 | Rs. 166,990 | 33% |
| ThinkCentre AIO neo 50a, Core 5, 16GB, 512GB | Rs. 99,991 | Rs. 170,001 | 41% |

| ThinkBook 14, Core 5, 16GB, 512GB, Win 11 Home | Rs. 88,991 | Rs. 169,991 | 47% |
| ThinkBook 14, Ryzen 5, 16GB, 512GB, Win 11 Home | Rs. 81,991 | Rs. 170,001 | 51% |
| ThinkBook 16, Ryzen 5, 16GB, 512GB, Win 11 Home | Rs. 81,991 | Rs. 170,001 | 51% |
| Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, 13-inch, 12GB, 256GB, Wi-Fi + Pen | Rs. 47,999 | Rs. 75,001 | 36% |
Look at the last three digits. Lenovo's stated MRPs on this page are Rs. 3,20,001, Rs. 2,91,491, Rs. 2,30,290, Rs. 1,70,001 (three times), Rs. 1,69,991, Rs. 1,66,990, Rs. 1,22,231 and Rs. 75,001; its selling prices include Rs. 2,76,991, Rs. 1,65,991, Rs. 99,991, Rs. 88,991 and Rs. 81,991. Figures ending in 001 and 991 are constructed rather than costed. The selling price is the number you pay; the MRP is a number that produces a percentage.
Three Different Laptops, One Stated MRP of Rs. 1,70,001
The ThinkBook 14 with a Ryzen 5, the ThinkBook 16 with a Ryzen 5 and the ThinkCentre AIO neo 50a all-in-one desktop are three different products - two laptops of different sizes and a desktop. On 22 August 2026 all three stated an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,70,001. The two ThinkBooks sell at Rs. 81,991 and show 51 per cent off; the ThinkCentre sells at Rs. 99,991 and shows 41.
A fourth machine, the ThinkBook 14 with an Intel Core 5 rather than an AMD Ryzen 5, states Rs. 1,69,991 - ten rupees below the other three - and sells at Rs. 88,991, showing 47 per cent. Four products, three of them sharing a list price to the rupee and the fourth ten rupees away from it. We are reporting the arithmetic rather than interpreting it, but a single figure applied across a size difference and a form-factor difference is a merchandising constant, not a valuation.
Croma's Lenovo Shelf: Rs. 46,990 to Rs. 1,76,990
Twenty-one Lenovo listings came back from croma.com the same morning, across two queries. They are a different catalogue from Lenovo's own: fourteen IdeaPads, six LOQ gaming machines and a Yoga, with no ThinkPads or ThinkBooks at all in the pull. Prices run Rs. 46,990 to Rs. 1,76,990 and badges 5 to 56 per cent.
Croma's stated MRPs are built differently from Lenovo's. Where Lenovo's end in 001 and 991, Croma's end in 90 or 290 - Rs. 1,84,990, Rs. 2,30,290, Rs. 2,21,290, Rs. 1,97,890. Neither convention makes a number more real than the other; they are simply two different houses filling the same field.

The Same LOQ, Twice, Nineteen Thousand Rupees Apart
Two entries on that table describe the identical machine. Both read Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10 Intel Core i7 13th Gen Gaming Laptop, 16GB, 1TB SSD, Windows 11 Home, 8GB Graphics, 15.6-inch 144 Hz FHD IPS Display, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, MS Office Home 2024, Luna Grey, 2.4 KG. Word for word, including the weight and the colour name.
One is Rs. 1,57,990. The other is Rs. 1,76,990. Both state the same MRP of Rs. 1,97,290, so one shows 20 per cent off and the other 10. Nineteen thousand rupees separates two listings that publish no distinguishing detail whatsoever. There may be a real difference - a model year, a bundle, a warranty term - but it is not in the listing text, and a buyer scrolling the shelf has no way to see it. Open both before you buy either.
Search the exact model code before checkout. On this shelf the model code - 15IRX10, 15IRH10, 15ARP10E - is doing more work than the marketing name. Two listings sharing a name can be different machines, and two listings sharing a full specification string can be the same machine at two prices.
One Model Line, Three Stated MRPs
The IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10 with a Core i5 appears three times on Croma's shelf. The selling prices are close together. The stated MRPs are not.
| IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10, Core i5 | Price | Stated MRP | Badge |
|---|
| IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10, Core i5 13th Gen, 8GB RAM | Rs. 78,990 | Rs. 1,37,690 | 43% |
| IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10, Core i5, 16GB RAM | Rs. 81,990 | Rs. 1,84,990 | 56% |
| IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10, Core i5 13th Gen, 16GB RAM | Rs. 87,990 | Rs. 92,290 | 5% |
Nine thousand rupees separates the cheapest from the dearest of the three. Ninety-two thousand seven hundred rupees separates their stated list prices - Rs. 92,290 against Rs. 1,84,990, a factor of two on one model line. The middle listing has 16GB where the cheapest has 8GB, which is a real difference worth paying for. Nothing published explains why the dearest of the three, at Rs. 87,990 with the same 16GB, carries a list price barely above its own selling price while the Rs. 81,990 listing claims nearly twice as much.
The practical consequence is that on this shelf the badge is actively misleading as a ranking signal. The 56 per cent listing and the 5 per cent listing are the same laptop at the same memory configuration, six thousand rupees apart, and it is the 5 per cent one that costs more.
What we read, and what we could not
Two sources, both read on 22 August 2026:
- lenovo.com/in/en - the deals cards, rendered in a headless browser because Lenovo's prices are inserted client-side and do not appear in the static HTML. Ten cards carried both a selling price and a stated MRP.
- croma.com - listing data for the queries 'lenovo laptop' and 'lenovo thinkpad'. Twenty-one listings returned; the thinkpad query returned no ThinkPads on the first page of results.
What we could not do: match configurations across the two stores. Lenovo's deals page is weighted towards ThinkBook and ThinkPad business machines and Croma's shelf towards IdeaPad and LOQ consumer stock, and where model families overlap the memory, storage and generation differ. We have therefore reported each store's own shelf and its own MRP conventions rather than claiming a like-for-like price comparison we could not verify. We did not add any machine to a cart, apply any coupon, or test any bank offer.
How to Buy a Lenovo Laptop This Week
The honest read
Ignore the badge and read the model code. On Croma's shelf the same IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10 Core i5 carries badges of 56, 43 and 5 per cent, and the 5 per cent listing is not the worst deal on that list - it is simply the one whose MRP field was filled in honestly.
Open every duplicate listing. Two LOQ 15IRX10 entries with identical specification strings sit Rs. 19,000 apart on the same page. That is the single largest saving available on this shelf and it requires nothing but scrolling.
Match the store to the machine. ThinkBooks and ThinkPads are on Lenovo's own deals page and were absent from our Croma pull; IdeaPads and LOQs are on Croma from Rs. 46,990 and Lenovo's own page starts at Rs. 81,991. Neither store is cheaper in general.
The Freedom Sale is the smallest number on this page. Lenovo's homepage named it at up to 10 per cent off on 22 August, running to 24 August. Individual listings on both storefronts already differ by more than that.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is a Lenovo laptop cheaper in August 2026 - Lenovo.com or Croma?
Neither is consistently cheaper, and the two stores do not sell the same configurations, so a direct comparison is mostly unavailable. What we can say from 22 August 2026 is that Croma's cheapest Lenovo laptop is Rs. 46,990 - an IdeaPad Slim 3 15AMN8 with a Ryzen 3 7320U, 8GB and a 512GB SSD - and the cheapest laptop on Lenovo's own deals page is Rs. 81,991, a ThinkBook 14 with a Ryzen 5 and 16GB. Lenovo's deals page skews towards ThinkPad, ThinkBook and ThinkCentre business machines; Croma's shelf is almost entirely IdeaPad and LOQ consumer stock. If you want a business ThinkBook, Lenovo's own store is where it is; if you want a budget IdeaPad, Croma is.
Why does Lenovo's own site show an MRP of Rs. 1,70,001 on three different laptops?
We can report it but not explain it. On 22 August 2026 the ThinkBook 14 with a Ryzen 5, the ThinkBook 16 with a Ryzen 5 and the ThinkCentre AIO neo 50a desktop all state an identical MRP of Rs. 1,70,001, and a fourth machine - the ThinkBook 14 with an Intel Core 5 - states Rs. 1,69,991. The pattern runs through the whole page: stated MRPs of Rs. 3,20,001, Rs. 2,91,491, Rs. 1,22,231 and Rs. 75,001, and selling prices of Rs. 2,76,991, Rs. 1,65,991, Rs. 99,991, Rs. 88,991 and Rs. 81,991. Numbers ending in 001 and 991 are not prices anyone arrived at from a cost; they are figures constructed to land just under a round threshold or to produce a particular percentage. Treat the selling price as real and the MRP as a claim.
Two Croma listings for the same LOQ laptop show different prices. Which is right?
Both are live. On 22 August 2026 Croma listed two entries whose specification strings are word-for-word identical - Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10, Intel Core i7 13th Gen, 16GB, 1TB SSD, RTX 5050 8GB, 15.6-inch 144 Hz FHD IPS, Luna Grey, 2.4 KG - at Rs. 1,57,990 and Rs. 1,76,990, both against the same stated MRP of Rs. 1,97,290, showing 20 per cent and 10 per cent off. That is a Rs. 19,000 difference for what the listings describe as the same machine. There may be a variation the listing text does not capture - a different model year, bundle or colour code - but nothing published distinguishes them. If you are buying this laptop, open both listings and check the cheaper one first.
Is the Lenovo Freedom Sale worth waiting for?
Lenovo's own homepage named a Freedom Sale at up to 10 per cent off when we read it on 22 August 2026, with the event running to 24 August. Ten per cent is a modest headline against the badges already showing on individual deals cards, which run from 13 to 51 per cent, and against Croma's Lenovo shelf, which runs 5 to 56. Our reading is that the sale banner is a smaller factor than which specific configuration you buy and where. We have not tested any sale price at checkout and are reporting the storefront's own claim; if you are buying this week, compare the individual machine across both retailers rather than waiting for an event percentage that is smaller than the spread between listings.
What do the discount percentages on Lenovo laptops actually mean?
They are arithmetic over two numbers the seller displays, and only the smaller one is a price you can pay. The clearest demonstration in this read is the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10 with a Core i5, which Croma lists three times: at Rs. 78,990 against a stated Rs. 1,37,690 (43%), at Rs. 81,990 against Rs. 1,84,990 (56%) and at Rs. 87,990 against Rs. 92,290 (5%). The RAM differs on one of the three, but the stated list price for one model line varies by a factor of two. A 56 per cent badge and a 5 per cent badge on near-identical laptops nine thousand rupees apart tell you about the MRP entered against each listing, not about value.
Prices & codes last verified: 22 August 2026
Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage on this page was read on 22 August 2026 from two storefronts: the deals cards on lenovo.com's India site, rendered in a headless browser because Lenovo inserts its prices client-side and they do not appear in the static HTML, and croma.com's own listing data for the queries 'lenovo laptop' and 'lenovo thinkpad'. Ten Lenovo cards and 21 Croma listings carried both a price and a stated MRP. An MRP is the figure the seller states and we have not verified that any machine here was ever sold at it, so every percentage on this page is arithmetic over that seller's own two numbers rather than a measured saving. We have not matched configurations across the two stores and make no like-for-like price claim between them: Lenovo's deals page is weighted towards ThinkPad and ThinkBook business machines and Croma's shelf towards IdeaPad and LOQ consumer stock. Where two Croma listings publish identical specification strings at different prices we have reported that rather than resolved it; there may be a difference the listing text does not capture. Processor, memory, storage, graphics, display and weight figures are quoted from the listings themselves and are reported rather than tested; we have not used any machine on this page. The Freedom Sale figure is transcribed from Lenovo's homepage as displayed and was not tested at checkout. Prices change frequently and can differ once a coupon, bank offer, exchange value or student discount is applied - re-check before paying. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by Lenovo or Croma.
