All 21 dishwashers on Croma's shelf, read on 25 August. The biggest machine is not the most expensive one to fill.

Prices & codes last verified August 25, 2026

We read Croma's dishwasher shelf on 25 August 2026 and seated all 21 machines, Rs. 46,894 to Rs. 72,990. Place settings is the only capacity number every listing states, so we divided price by settings on every card. The ratio runs Rs. 3,199 to Rs. 5,199 and it does not follow the price tag: the 16-setting IFB at Rs. 58,990 is cheaper per setting than the 12-setting machine costing Rs. 9,800 less. Every built-in here sits in the expensive half of that table, and Croma publishes no rating at all for fourteen of the twenty-one.

Every price below was pulled from Croma on August 25, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Croma coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“Bosch's built-in Series 4 holds fourteen settings and costs Rs. 68,990. Its free-standing Series 6 holds fifteen and costs Rs. 63,990. The five thousand rupees is the cabinet.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Four rules for buying a dishwasher at Croma

First: divide the price by the stated place settings before anything else, because on this shelf the ratio swings by Rs. 2,000 and the largest machine is not the dearest to fill. Second: decide free-standing or built-in early, since every built-in here sits in the expensive half of that table and the premium is for cabinetry rather than capability. Third: ignore the discount badge, because two brands here run a fixed percentage across their whole range and one states a Rs. 1,06,990 list price on a machine its competitors list Rs. 30,000 lower - the same pattern we found on Croma refrigerators and washing machines. Fourth: check installation and plumbing separately, since a dishwasher needs an inlet, a drain and a socket, and none of these listings quote what that costs.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: nothing from the dishwasher shelf itself - all 21 machines Croma returned with a price, an MRP and a stated capacity are seated on this page, which is why the comparison table is complete rather than curated. What we did leave out is the chimney half of the same pull: our search also returned 21 wall-mounted chimneys from Rs. 4,499 to Rs. 32,790, and they belong to a different buying decision priced on a different unit, cubic metres of suction per hour rather than place settings. We covered that shelf separately. We have also not priced installation, plumbing modification, cabinetry cut-outs for the five built-in machines, or the water softening most Indian supplies need, none of which appear on any listing here and all of which are real costs of owning a dishwasher.

What we look for

We divide the price by the stated place settings, on every card

Place settings is the one capacity figure every dishwasher listing on this shelf states, and it means the same thing on all of them: one setting is a dinner plate, a side plate, a bowl, a glass and cutlery. Dividing price by settings gives a figure that runs from Rs. 3,199 to Rs. 5,199 across these twenty-one machines, and it does not follow the total price. The 16-setting IFB VX16 at Rs. 58,990 is cheaper per setting than the 12-setting Kutchina at Rs. 49,190 and the 14-setting LG at Rs. 54,990. Every card prints the figure so you can see which machines are large and which are merely expensive.

We separate what a built-in body costs from what a dishwasher costs

Five of these twenty-one are built-in machines designed to sit inside kitchen cabinetry, and all five land in the top half of the per-setting table at Rs. 4,235 to Rs. 5,199. The clearest measurement is within one brand: Bosch's built-in Series 4 with fourteen settings costs Rs. 68,990 while its free-standing Series 6 with fifteen settings costs Rs. 63,990 - a lower platform and less capacity for five thousand rupees more. That gap is the cabinetry, not the machine, and no listing states it. Where a card is a built-in we say so and price it accordingly.

We do not print a rating pill anywhere on this page, because there is nothing to print

Croma publishes no rating and no rating count at all for fourteen of the twenty-one dishwashers seated here. Of the seven that show anything, the counts are one, one, two, four, seven, nine and nine - and two of those seven show a count with no average attached. The largest body of feedback on this entire shelf is nine ratings. So no card on this page carries a rating pill, no average is quoted as a judgement, and we have not borrowed ratings from Amazon, Flipkart or a manufacturer's own site to fill the gap. Every assessment here rests on stated capacity, stated features, brand service network and price.

We read a badge that never changes as a policy, not a promotion

Both Kutchina machines here carry exactly 35 per cent off. IFB's SX16 and FABER's built-in both carry 4 per cent. A discount that is constant across a brand's range is a pricing convention rather than an event, and it tells you how the brand sets its list price rather than what you are saving. The extremes on this shelf are instructive: Electrolux states Rs. 1,06,990 for a free-standing fifteen-setting machine that Bosch lists at Rs. 76,490 and LG at Rs. 82,999. We print every badge because Croma does, and we judge every machine on its selling price.

We flag when a colour change moves the list price

LG's fifteen-setting front-control machine appears twice on this shelf: Prime Silver at Rs. 62,990 against a stated Rs. 82,999, and Matte Black at Rs. 65,490 against a stated Rs. 91,999. Same capacity, same body, same platform - a Rs. 2,500 difference in selling price and a Rs. 9,000 difference in list price, which is what makes the black version's badge look five points deeper. Bosch's silver and black Series 6 pair moves in the opposite direction, with the badge shrinking as the price rises. Where our pull returned the same machine in two finishes we have seated both and printed the comparison rather than describing it.

FAQs

How many place settings do I need in a dishwasher for an Indian family?

A place setting is defined as one dinner plate, one side plate, one bowl, one glass and a set of cutlery - which is why Indian kitchens routinely need more settings than the family size suggests. A single Indian meal for four can produce a kadhai, a pressure cooker and its inserts, two or three serving bowls and a tawa before anybody has eaten off a plate, and those items eat capacity fast. As a working rule: 12 to 13 settings suits two people, 14 to 15 suits a family of four who cook daily, and 16 is the size for a joint family or anyone who entertains. On this shelf the extra capacity is often cheap: the 15-setting IFB Neptune VX15 at Rs. 47,990 costs only Rs. 1,096 more than the 13-setting Bosch, and the 16-setting IFB VX16 costs less per setting than the 12-setting Kutchina.

Is a built-in dishwasher worth the extra money over a free-standing one?

Only if your kitchen already has, or is being designed with, a cabinet cut-out for it. The premium is real and measurable on this shelf: all five built-in machines here sit in the expensive half of the per-setting table at Rs. 4,235 to Rs. 5,199, against Rs. 3,199 to Rs. 4,866 for free-standing. The sharpest single comparison is within Bosch's own range - its built-in Series 4 with fourteen settings costs Rs. 68,990 while its free-standing Series 6 with fifteen settings costs Rs. 63,990. That is a lower platform and one less setting for five thousand rupees more, and the difference is the cabinetry-fitted body, not the washing. A built-in also needs a carpenter as well as a plumber. Buy free-standing unless the flush fit is worth a five-figure sum to you.

Why do Croma dishwashers show such different discount percentages?

Because the stated MRP is set by each brand and constrains nothing. On this shelf, both Kutchina machines carry exactly 35 per cent off - a figure that constant across a range is a pricing policy rather than a promotion - while IFB's flagship SX16 and FABER's built-in both carry 4 per cent, the mildest claims here. The extremes are more instructive than the middle. Electrolux states Rs. 1,06,990 for a free-standing 15-setting machine that Bosch lists at Rs. 76,490 and LG at Rs. 82,999. And LG lists the same 15-setting machine at Rs. 82,999 in Prime Silver and Rs. 91,999 in Matte Black, which is what makes the black version's badge five points deeper on a product selling Rs. 2,500 apart. Read the selling price; the percentage is not a saving you can bank.

Which dishwasher on Croma should I actually buy?

For most Indian family kitchens, the IFB Neptune VX15 at Rs. 47,990 is the strongest listing on this shelf: fifteen place settings at Rs. 3,199 each, the best capacity-per-rupee ratio in the read, a no-pre-rinse claim, and IFB's own Indian service network behind a plumbed-in machine. If you cook for a joint family, the IFB Neptune VX16 at Rs. 58,990 gives you sixteen settings at Rs. 3,687 each and carries one of the two mildest badges here, which usually signals a list price near reality. If you want Bosch specifically, the Series 6 fourteen-setting at Rs. 49,490 is the best-value machine in its range at Rs. 3,535 a setting, and the fifteen-setting Series 6 at Rs. 63,990 adds an anti-fingerprint finish and no-pre-rinse. Avoid paying built-in prices unless you have the cabinet cut-out.

Do dishwashers need pre-rinsing and special salt in India?

Several listings on this shelf state 'no pre-rinse required' explicitly - the two IFB Neptunes, three of the Bosches, both fifteen-setting LGs and both top-end Bosch built-ins - which means the machine's filtration and wash programme are designed to handle food residue directly. That is a genuine time saver and the feature that decides whether a dishwasher replaces washing-up or merely follows it. Salt is a separate matter and it is not optional in most of India: hard water scales the heating element and the interior, and dishwasher salt regenerates the softening resin that prevents it. Only one listing in this read - the FABER built-in - states salt and rinse-aid indicators, which tell you when to top up. On every other machine here you will need to track that yourself, and none of these listings quotes a water-hardness limit.

More Croma coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount percentage, place-settings figure and product name here was read on 25 August 2026 from Croma's own listing feed for the dishwasher category. Twenty-one machines returned a price, an MRP and a stated capacity, and all 21 are seated here - nothing was excluded on editorial grounds, so this page is the whole shelf rather than a selection from it. Price-per-place-setting figures are our own arithmetic over Croma's selling price and the capacity stated in each listing's own title. Features - glass protection, ion technology, inverter direct drive, EcoSilence, anti-fingerprint finishes, self-cleaning filters, hidden heating elements, salt and rinse-aid indicators and no-pre-rinse claims - are quoted from the listings as printed and are reported rather than tested: we have not installed, loaded, run or measured any dishwasher on this page. Warranty terms are not stated on any of these listings and we have not assumed any. An MRP is the figure the listing shows and we have not verified that any machine was sold at it, so every discount percentage here is arithmetic over Croma's own two numbers rather than a measured saving. Croma publishes no rating and no rating count for fourteen of these 21 machines, and the seven that show anything rest on between one and nine ratings, so no card on this page carries a rating pill and no rating has been borrowed from another retailer. Installation, plumbing changes, cabinetry cut-outs for built-in models and water softening are real costs of ownership that no listing here quotes. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons, exchange or bank offers - re-check before paying.
