Croma Water Purifier & Air Purifier Prices, August 2026

Three purifiers from this August 2026 read of Croma listings - a KENT Grand Plus RO water purifier, an LG PuriCare water purifier and a Dyson tower air purifier
Zoutons Picks — Croma, August 2026

Croma's own purifier listings, read on 21 August. Twenty-two machines priced Rs. 6,899 to Rs. 86,990, and not one of them has been rated by fifty people.

Prices & codes last verified August 21, 2026

We read 77 Croma appliance listings on 21 August 2026 and seated the 22 water and air purifiers. Prices run from Rs. 6,899 to Rs. 86,990. The badges do not follow the machines: Philips claims 10 to 14 per cent off its air purifiers while Honeywell claims 43 and 45 on comparable units in the same aisle. Nothing here has been rated by fifty people - the counts run from one to twenty-five - so read the filtration stage list instead. That is the only thing on this shelf that reliably tells you what you are buying.

Every price below was pulled from Croma on August 21, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Croma coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“Two four-stage HEPA machines, a thousand rupees apart in what you pay, and eleven thousand apart in what their sellers claim they are worth.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Four rules for buying a purifier from a big-box retailer

First: read the stage list before the price, because a UV-only unit and a full RO unit look identical in a listing title and do completely different jobs. Second: ignore the badge, since on this shelf the two largest and the three smallest belong to two brands rather than to any difference in the machines. Third: treat every rating here as anecdote - twenty-five raters is the deepest record on the page. Fourth: price the filters, not the box, because a purifier costs more in annual cartridge changes than it does in discount, the same arithmetic we applied to Croma geysers.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: the chimneys and geysers that the same four queries returned - 27 chimneys from Rs. 4,499 to Rs. 32,790 and 18 geysers from Rs. 2,999 to Rs. 18,100 - because we published full reads of both categories earlier this month and a second page on the same shelf inside four weeks would tell you nothing new. Among the purifiers themselves we dropped listings whose photographs duplicate a seated pick, which on this shelf is common: Aquaguard's Enrich Neo appears in RO and UV variants sharing one image, and KENT's Sapphire shares its frame with the Grand Plus. We also dropped one listing returned under 'air purifier' that is not one - an Origin OM1+ORB1 storage cabinet at Rs. 5,850, which Croma's own search surfaced against the query. Nothing was dropped for a low rating: the Croma 7.5L UV unit at 1.4 out of 5 is the worst-rated listing in the read and is seated because a house-brand appliance rated 1.4 in its own retailer's store is exactly the thing a page like this should tell you about.

What we look for

We rank by the price you pay, because on this shelf the badge is a brand policy

Philips's three air purifiers in this read claim 10, 11 and 14 per cent off. Honeywell's two claim 43 and 45. They sit in the same aisle of the same store in the same week, and the Philips 1000i at Rs. 16,990 and the Honeywell P1 at Rs. 15,999 are comparable four-stage HEPA machines - a thousand rupees apart in what you pay and nearly eleven thousand apart in what their sellers claim they are worth. The same pattern runs through the water purifiers: KENT states Rs. 23,500 behind one unit and Rs. 24,000 behind another, then shows 37 per cent on the first and 19 on the second. Sorting by discount ranks the manufacturers who publish real list prices last, which is why we sort by rupees.

No listing on this page has been rated by fifty people, so no card carries a rating pill

The rating counts across all 22 listings in this read run from one to twenty-five. The deepest record on the page is the KENT Grand Plus at 25 ratings; the highest average is a 4.8 from six people on the Native by UC M2 Pro, and a 5.0 from four on the Xiaomi. Five listings publish no average at all, including both LG machines. Our threshold for showing a rating pill is fifty raters and nothing here clears it, so every rating on this page appears in the specification list with its count attached and nowhere else. Large appliances sell in far smaller volumes than the phones and earbuds that accumulate thousands of reviews, and this is what that looks like in the data.

We name the filtration stage, because UV and RO solve different problems

Three of the water purifiers here - the Pureit at Rs. 7,490, the Croma 7.5L at Rs. 7,999 and the AO Smith Intelli at Rs. 9,490 - have no reverse-osmosis membrane. UV kills microorganisms and a carbon block handles chlorine and taste, but neither removes anything dissolved, so against hard borewell or tanker water they change nothing measurable. RO is the only stage on this page that reduces total dissolved solids, and it starts at Rs. 8,190 with the Livpure. That is a Rs. 700 difference for a categorically different machine, and it is not visible in either the price or the badge - only in the stage list, which we have quoted on every card.

We say what a house brand is, and who writes both sides of its badge

Two of the water purifiers in this read are Croma's own label, sold in Croma's own store: the 7.5L UV unit at Rs. 7,999 and the 7L RO unit at Rs. 8,999. For those two, the MRP behind the badge and the price in front of it are decided in the same building, so the 33 and 44 per cent between them measure a marketing decision rather than a saving against anyone else's price. That is worth knowing in both directions - house brands often are the honest value on a shelf. But it is also worth knowing that the Croma 7.5L carries the lowest rating average anywhere in this read, 1.4 from eight buyers, and that the Pureit five hundred rupees below it is rated 4.0 by seventeen.

FAQs

Which water purifier should I buy from Croma under Rs. 20,000?

On weight of evidence, the KENT Grand Plus 9L at Rs. 19,350, which carries 25 ratings at 4.4 - the deepest record anywhere in this read and more than three times the next-best water purifier on the page. It is a full RO plus UV plus UF unit with a second UV lamp inside the storage tank, which addresses the real weakness of RO systems: water sitting in a tank for hours after purification. If your budget is closer to Rs. 8,000 the Livpure Daze at Rs. 8,190 is the cheapest full RO stack in this read, though it has only five ratings behind it. And if your water supply is municipal and already low in dissolved solids, you may not need RO at all - the Pureit Classic UV at Rs. 7,490 has 17 ratings at 4.0 and is the best-evidenced cheap unit here.

Why do Croma air purifiers show such different discounts for similar machines?

Because the MRP behind the badge is set by each brand rather than by the retailer, and the two brands on this shelf have opposite policies. Philips's three air purifiers in our read claim 10, 11 and 14 per cent off, with stated MRPs between Rs. 11,995 and Rs. 27,995. Honeywell's two claim 43 and 45 per cent, with stated MRPs of Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 28,999. The clearest pair: the Philips 1000i at Rs. 16,990 states Rs. 18,995 and shows 11 per cent, while the Honeywell P1 at Rs. 15,999 states Rs. 28,999 and shows 45. These are comparable four-stage HEPA machines a thousand rupees apart in what you actually pay. The percentage is telling you about the brand's list-price policy, not about the machine or the deal.

Do I need RO, or is a UV water purifier enough?

It depends entirely on your water source, and it is the single most important thing to establish before you look at prices. Reverse osmosis forces water through a membrane fine enough to remove dissolved salts, so it is what reduces total dissolved solids - hardness, and the metallic or bitter taste that comes with it. UV kills bacteria and viruses but removes nothing dissolved; ultrafiltration catches suspended particles; a carbon block handles chlorine and improves taste. If your supply is treated municipal water with low TDS, a UV plus UF unit like the Pureit at Rs. 7,490 does everything you need and RO would strip minerals out for no benefit. If you are on borewell, tanker or high-TDS supply, only RO will help, and it starts on this page at Rs. 8,190. Most local water authorities publish TDS figures, and inexpensive TDS meters are widely sold.

Are the ratings on Croma appliance listings reliable?

Not on this shelf, and it is worth being direct about why. Across all 22 purifiers in this read the rating counts run from one to twenty-five. The highest average on the page, 4.8, comes from six people on the Native by UC M2 Pro; the Xiaomi 4 Lite shows a perfect 5.0 from four. Five listings publish no average at all, including both LG machines. Our own threshold for displaying a rating badge is fifty raters, and nothing here clears it, which is why no card on this page carries one. That is not a flaw in Croma's data - large appliances simply sell in far smaller volumes than phones or earbuds and never accumulate the thousands of reviews those do. It does mean you should weigh the filtration specification, the service network and the filter-replacement cost far more heavily than any star average you see here.

What does a water purifier actually cost to run each year?

More than the discount on the box, which is why the badge is the least useful number on the page. RO systems need their pre-filters, membrane and post-carbon block replaced on a schedule - typically the sediment and carbon pre-filters annually and the RO membrane every two to three years depending on input water hardness - and most Indian brands sell that as an annual maintenance contract rather than as parts. Those contracts commonly run to a meaningful fraction of the machine's price each year, and they are the reason service-network depth matters more than brand prestige here: Aquaguard and KENT are chosen as often for their technician coverage as for their filtration. UV-only units like the Pureit and the AO Smith Intelli are cheaper to run because there is no membrane to replace, only a lamp and a carbon block. Ask for the annual contract price before you buy, not after.

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and rating count here was read on 21 August 2026 from Croma's own product data across four queries: water purifier, chimney, air purifier and geyser. Seventy-seven listings came back carrying both a price and a stated MRP; the 22 water and air purifiers among them are seated. Croma prices change frequently and can differ once a store offer, bank offer or exchange value is applied at checkout - re-check before paying. An MRP is the figure the listing states and we have not verified that any machine here was ever sold at it; the central contrast on this page, between Philips claiming 10 to 14 per cent off and Honeywell claiming 43 and 45 on comparable air purifiers, is arithmetic over the rows we read and not an allegation about any brand or seller. Filtration stages, room-coverage capability, warranty terms and technology names are quoted from Croma's own listings and are reported rather than verified; we have not installed or tested any machine on this page, and statements about what UV and RO stages do are general descriptions of the technologies rather than claims about any specific unit's performance. Croma's own-label purifiers are the retailer's house brand, which we have said where they appear. Ratings and rating counts are Croma's own; every listing in this read has fewer than fifty ratings, which is why no rating pill appears anywhere on this page.
