A Nikon Z FC retro mirrorless camera beside a pastel blue Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 instant camera - the camera counter this Croma August 2026 price read covers, from Rs. 1,824 to Rs. 174,074
Zoutons Picks — Croma cameras, August 2026

One per cent off a Sony body. Seventy off a dashcam. Nineteen picks from 40 listings read on August 11.

Prices & codes last verified August 11, 2026

We read 40 Croma camera listings on August 11, 2026 and seated 19. This is one counter running three separate economies. The interchangeable-lens bodies above Rs. 30,000 discount between 1 and 19 per cent, because a manufacturer rather than a retailer sets those prices. The action cameras run from 14 to 51 per cent purely by model year. Eighteen rows are one Instax family inside a nine-point band. And only twelve of the forty listings carry a rating at all, so this is a counter you must read on specification.

Every price below was pulled from Croma on August 11, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Croma coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“Two thousand rupees off a camera that costs a hundred and forty-five thousand. Four thousand off a dashcam that costs six.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Five rules for buying a camera online

First: read who controls the price, because a narrow badge on a current-generation body is manufacturer discipline rather than retailer meanness, and a wide one on a dashcam is the absence of it. Second: buy last year's action camera, since the only thing separating a 51 per cent badge from a 27 per cent one here is a model year and a lens accessory mount. Third: count the film before the camera, because Instax paper at roughly twenty rupees a print will cost more than the body within a year of real use. Fourth: accept that this counter has almost no ratings and buy on specification instead - the same specification-first reading we had to use on the MacBook shelf, where the badge was flat across every listing. Fifth: check what is in the box, since body-only, kit-lens and twin-lens versions of the same camera sit beside each other at very different prices, the same bundle problem we found across the audio aisle.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: 21 of the 40 camera rows. The largest group was Instax bundle permutations - four further Mini SE Fun Pack rows at exactly Rs. 6,999, three more Mini 12 Delight Box rows at Rs. 7,999 and three Mini SE Joy Pack rows at Rs. 8,499, all inside the same 22 to 27 per cent band the five seated Instax cards already establish. We also left out a second identical Instax Mini LiPlay row, two further DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro configurations that repeat the Action 4 story at narrower badges, a second Nikon Z 50II twin-lens configuration, and a Sony Alpha 7C2 duplicate. Nothing was excluded for being a bad camera. We also did not seat the air conditioner, refrigerator and gaming rows that came back in the same pull, because this page is about the camera counter.

What we look for

We check who controls the price before we read the discount

This counter has three economies and they behave completely differently. Interchangeable-lens bodies from Sony, Nikon and Canon above Rs. 30,000 discounted between 1 and 19 per cent in our read, because current-generation body pricing is set upstream and allocated rather than dumped. Action cameras ran from 14 to 51 per cent, entirely according to model year. A dashcam at Rs. 1,824, which nobody upstream is protecting, carried 70. The badge is telling you how much freedom the retailer has, not how good the camera is.

We say plainly when there is no evidence to rank on

Only twelve of the forty camera rows we read carry any rating at all, and only one - a Nikon D7500 with 347 ratings at 4.6 - clears our hundred-vote threshold for a rating pill. Not one of the eighteen Instax rows has been rated. That is unusual and it is worth stating rather than hiding behind a specification table: on this counter you are buying on specification, on brand and on what the object is for, because the crowd evidence that carries most of our other pages does not exist here.

We count how many times one family is listed

Fujifilm filed eighteen of the forty camera rows, and several of those are the same Instax Mini SE and Mini 12 bundles repeated with different film counts at Rs. 6,999, Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 8,499. We seated five distinct Instax products rather than letting one family's bundle permutations take half the page, and we describe the pattern on the cards instead.

We separate the running cost from the purchase price

An instant camera is the clearest case on this counter: Instax Mini film runs at roughly twenty rupees a print, so a Rs. 7,499 camera shot regularly costs more in paper within a year than it did to buy. That is why the bundle with forty shots included is close to buying film at cost and is the honest configuration to recommend. The same logic applies to action-camera batteries, where a Rs. 10,000 bundle difference is really a question about how long your days are.

FAQs

Why are camera bodies barely discounted when everything else on Croma is?

Because the retailer does not set those prices. In our August 11, 2026 read of 40 Croma camera listings, every interchangeable-lens body above Rs. 30,000 sat between 1 and 19 per cent off, and a Sony Alpha 6700L at Rs. 145,490 was marked down exactly Rs. 2,000 - the narrowest badge in our entire 137-row pull. Current-generation camera bodies are sold under tight pricing discipline with allocated stock, and a retailer that cuts hard on a flagship receives less of it. Compare that with a Rs. 1,824 dashcam on the same site at 70 per cent off, where nobody upstream is protecting anything.

Should I buy the current action camera or last year's?

Last year's, unless you know why you need the new one. The DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo sits at Rs. 21,990 and 51 per cent off - the widest camera badge in our read - while the current GoPro Hero13 holds at 27 per cent. The Hero12 at Rs. 25,990 has the same 5.3K sensor resolution and the same 27MP stills as the Hero13 at Rs. 32,990; what the newer model adds is magnetic lens accessory support. The badge in this category follows the model year rather than the capability, which is exactly why last year's flagship is the value buy.

Why do all the Instax cameras have almost the same discount?

Because Fujifilm owns both halves of the product. Eighteen of our forty camera rows were Instax, priced from Rs. 5,999 to Rs. 16,499, and every one of them fell between 18 and 27 per cent off - the tightest band of any family on the counter. When one company makes the camera and the film it is useless without, there is no competitive pressure to discount either. It also means the camera price is the smaller number in the long run: Instax Mini film runs at roughly twenty rupees a print, so the Mega Pack bundle with forty shots included is close to buying film at cost.

Why do so few Croma camera listings have ratings?

We do not know, and we would rather say so than guess. What we can report is the size of it: only twelve of the forty camera rows we read carry any rating at all, and just one - a Nikon D7500 with 347 ratings at 4.6 - clears the hundred-vote threshold we require before attaching a rating pill. Not one of the eighteen Instax listings has been rated. The practical consequence is that this is a counter you have to buy on specification, on what the object is for and on brand reputation, because the crowd evidence simply is not there.

What is the best buy on this page?

On evidence, the Nikon D7500 at Rs. 78,990 with 347 ratings at 4.6 - the only camera here with a real crowd behind it, and a DSLR whose older mount opens a deep second-hand lens market. On value, the DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo at Rs. 21,990, which is last year's flagship at 51 per cent off and still an excellent camera. If you want to talk to camera while walking, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 at Rs. 34,990 is the only device here with a real mechanical gimbal. And if somebody simply wants an instant camera, the Instax Mini 12 Mega Pack at Rs. 8,999 includes forty shots of the film that is the format's actual cost.

More Croma coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and rating count here was read on August 11, 2026 from croma.com's own listing data, with duplicate listings removed, and all of them can change without notice. Our pull returned 137 rows across four aisles of which 40 were cameras, and we seated 19 of those 40. The derived figures we quote - that interchangeable-lens bodies above Rs. 30,000 ranged from 1 to 19 per cent off, that action camera rows ranged from 14 to 51, that all eighteen Fujifilm rows fell between 18 and 27 per cent and between Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 16,499, that only twelve of the forty camera rows carry any rating, that one row carries more than a hundred ratings, and the rupee value of every discount - are ours, calculated from those rows. Our reading of why bodies discount less than action cameras is a judgement based on publicly known distribution and allocation patterns in camera retail, not on anything the listings state. Because our pull fixed a set of listing pages, these findings describe the listings we read rather than Croma's whole camera range; no medium format, no cinema cameras, no lenses sold separately and nothing above Rs. 215,000 is represented. A stated MRP is the seller's own figure and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it. Ratings and rating counts are Croma's own, most listings here carry none, and we attach a rating pill only where at least a hundred votes exist - which on this page is a single listing. We have not shot with, handled, tested or examined any camera here, and we make no claim about image quality, autofocus performance, stabilisation, battery life, waterproof rating or heat behaviour; specifications including sensor size, megapixel count, video resolution, frame rate, zoom range and waterproof depth are quoted from the listings as the seller's own wording, reported and not endorsed. Film, battery, memory card and mount compatibility, what is physically included in each box, warranty terms and the current selling price should all be confirmed before you order.
