Forty-five grooming listings read on August 10. Four of them have more than forty ratings. Twenty picks.
We read 45 Croma grooming listings on August 10, 2026 and seated 20. Philips holds sixteen of them, and its badge shrinks as its price rises: three per cent off a Rs. 43,549 shaver and a Rs. 19,449 dryer, 26 to 30 per cent on everything under Rs. 4,000. Two Philips listings publish the same product name at Rs. 21,599 and Rs. 43,549. Meanwhile only four listings in the whole read carry more than forty ratings, thirteen carry none at all, and everything badged above 50 per cent falls in that second group.
Every price below was pulled from Croma on August 10, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Croma coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: compare model numbers on the product page before spending in five figures, because two listings here publish the same shaver name at Rs. 21,599 and Rs. 43,549 with no stated difference between them. Second: treat a rating under forty votes as no rating - twenty-one listings in this read had between one and five, and the house brand's own trimmers carried samples of one and eleven with opposite verdicts. Third: read a brand's whole band, since Philips runs 3 to 30 per cent and never further, the same discipline we found on its Apple shelf. Fourth: buy the multigrooming kit rather than three machines, because one charger and one case is the real saving. Fifth: check wet-and-dry and corded-and-cordless, the two specifications that decide how a trimmer dies, exactly as capacity did on the kitchen shelf.

Philips holds sixteen of the 45 listings in this read and its badges run from 3 to 30 per cent, tightening as the price rises: three per cent on the Rs. 43,549 shaver and the Rs. 19,449 dryer, five per cent on a Rs. 3,499 body groomer, 26 to 30 per cent on the machines under Rs. 4,000. A brand that discounts its flagship by Rs. 546 is telling you the ticket price is the price. Everything badged above 50 per cent in this read comes from a brand with no rating history at all.
Four of the 45 listings carry more than forty ratings, and all four are hair dryers between Rs. 1,029 and Rs. 1,749 - 96, 67, 56 and 47 votes. Thirteen listings carry no rating whatsoever, including the Rs. 43,549 shaver at the top of the page, and twenty-one carry between one and five. A rating pill appears here only above forty votes. Where a score exists but the sample is tiny, we say the number in the text and leave the pill off, in both directions.
Two listings in this read publish the name Philips i9000 Prestige Ultra Rechargeable Cordless Electric Shaver, identical apart from spacing, at Rs. 21,599 and Rs. 43,549 - a gap of Rs. 21,950 against stated MRPs of Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 44,999. There may be a genuine difference in what is in each box, but neither listing states one, so we have seated both and labelled them by price. Anyone spending this much should compare model numbers on the product pages before ordering.
The words that matter here are not in the badge. Wet and dry means a head that can be rinsed under a tap, which is how most cheap trimmers survive or fail. Corded and cordless means it still works when the battery dies. A OneBlade is a fixed-length hybrid blade, not a rotary or foil shaver, and it suits some faces badly. A 13-in-1 kit replaces three separate machines and three chargers. Those decide whether you keep the thing; the percentage never does.
Because it dominates the aisle and expects to sell at the ticket price. In our August 10, 2026 read of 45 Croma grooming listings, sixteen were Philips and their badges ran from 3 to 30 per cent - three per cent off a Rs. 43,549 shaver and a Rs. 19,449 hair dryer, five per cent off a Rs. 3,499 body groomer, and 26 to 30 per cent on the machines under Rs. 4,000. The badge tightens as the price rises, which is what a brand does when it controls its own distribution.
Only four listings in our whole read carried more than forty ratings, and all four were hair dryers: a Philips EssentialCare at Rs. 1,249 with 96 ratings at 4.6, an Agaro HD1214 at Rs. 1,029 with 67 at 4.6, a Havells HD3152 at Rs. 1,399 with 56 at 4.4, and a Philips 3000 Series at Rs. 1,749 with 47 at 4.7. Everything else on the shelf, including every trimmer and every shaver, had a sample too small to mean anything.
Look at what it is discounted from. The 83 per cent badge in our read was Rs. 6,999 against a stated Rs. 39,999 for a Dreame Glory dryer, and the same brand's other listing claimed Rs. 44,999 against a selling price of Rs. 7,999. Neither carried a single customer rating. Rs. 6,999 to Rs. 7,999 is a fair price for a compact high-speed brushless dryer; the forty-thousand-rupee claims are the part that needs no defending because nobody is defending them.
A kit, in almost every case. The Philips 7000 Series 13-in-1 at Rs. 3,499 in our read covers beard, hair, body, nose and detail work with one motor, one charger and one case - and it carried the deepest Philips badge on the shelf at 30 per cent. Buying separately means a Rs. 479 nose trimmer, a Rs. 999 beard trimmer and a Rs. 3,499 body groomer, three batteries to charge and three things to lose. The cheaper Beardo three-in-one at Rs. 999 covers less but costs a third.
The battery and the blade, in that order, which is why two words in the listing matter more than the badge. Wet and dry means the head can be rinsed under a tap, so hair and oil do not seize the blade - the Rs. 649 Bombay Shaving trimmer in our read is dry-only. Corded and cordless means the machine still runs off the mains once the cell will no longer hold charge, which is what the BaByliss at Rs. 1,594 offers and most cordless-only trimmers on this shelf do not.
